Fangs and Fur: chapter 12
Angel's smile dropped hearing the feminine voice cut him off. His tail flicked nervously, as he straightened himself, brushing some of the dust from his clothes and giving Xavier a sign to hide.
With Xavier securely hidden in his fur, he turned around. There stood three figures before him, with two men standing beside each side of a woman who stood in the middle. The man on the right had black fur with faint markings swirling in the sea of darkness, that covered his body. With his arms behind his back, Xavier only now noticed that his right arm was replaced with a prosthetic, with scars marking his other arm and a long one running through his lips. His piercing green eyes reminded that of a venomous snake, however the large pointy ears and long tail showcased that this creature had mostly feline attributes. Looking upwards into the man's piercing green eyes, he saw his pupils dilating at the sight of Angel. His mouth contorted into a disgusted sneer, as he glanced at the tall man on the left. His tall stature dwarfed Angels own height, with six pupiless eyes staring at him with distaste. Six arms sprouted from his body, which were crossed, on his hips and behind back. His light blue skin glistened slightly in the light, with his purely white hair swaying slightly in the wind. His bug-like mouth pinchers slowly gnawed the air around it, awaiting for Angel to be chewed out by the woman in the middle. Her black eyes, as dark as ebony, glared at Angel. The only light in them being her golden pupils, that were formed into slits. Her round cat ears twitched in annoyance, with her frown showcasing clear disappointment. Similar to the man on the right, she had dark fur, as if they were related, however unlike him, her fur was more grey, with dark tabby patterns marking her body and hair, with only her arms and feet carrying a similar black to the man. Her long fluffy cat tail that swished around, aggravated.
”Why hello there, Frostshine, Felix and.. Sol.“ Angel said, smiling at them, yet Xavier still noticed a hint of nervousness in his voice. The woman, named Sol, merely let out a hiss, asking again ”Angel. What the hell did you think when you did that! You know unauthorized citizens can't go around fighting them.“ Angels eyes darted to the ground in an apologetic manner, right as he regained his composure and looked back up, speaking up ”I was just trying to protect a kid! Is that so bad?“ Now the tall man, Frostshine, on the right spoke up, pulling out a small book, flicking through the pages ”Well, it doesn't matter if you thought it was okay to break the rules for your little hero mission.“ he said in a cool, mocking tone, ”Here, according to page 42, paragraph 3 it clearly states that it is prohibited for someone like you to interact with those creatures. Your only job is to get away and let us handle them.“ Angel pouted, rolled his eyes, then looked at the man with disdain. Flicking his wrist in a dismissive manner, he snapped back ”Oh please, you just flicked to a random page, stated some random numbers and words to sound more sophisticated.“ The bug-like man smirked ever so slightly, he shook his head and put the small book away, as he replied ”If it gets our point across better, I see no reason not to trick your little head. The rule still exists and you blatantly ignored it!“ Angel quickly came to his defense ”It's not even that bad! I protected someone and.. and I even did your job, how is it wrong of me to break the rules this one time.“
He turned his head to look at Sol, who pinched her temple, clearly annoyed. ”Angel, do you see the destruction that you caused?” She said, pointing to the destroyed area, ”What's the point in helping someone if in the end more destruction is caused.“ Angel crossed his arms, averting her gaze, as he mumbled ”Well, if you don't like me doing your job, maybe you shouldve come earlier..“ This only seemed to anger the woman, causing Angel to flinch in response.
”What did you just say.“ She let out a low growl approaching Angel, who tensed up, with Xavier trying to use Angels fur as a cover, ”We work very hard to make sure that this city is safe, unlike you. You don't even do anything important other than saying some nonsensical words on a stage. So don't you dare disrespect us to being some kind of lazy group of people who sit and loaf around! It's not our fault that another one of them burst out in another part of the city. We tried to arrive here as fast as possible, though you decided to pull this.. this "heroic" stunt, giving us more work now!“ Frostshines voice piped in, with that same condescending smile returning ”Seems like someone forgot their past training, but that doesn't surprise me coming from someone like you..“ Sol turned her head to face him, giving him a glance to shut it, as she looked back at Angel. Seeing his missing arm, she sighed, furrowing her brow ”...just get out of our sight and go get yourself fixed up.“
Angel hastily nodded and turned around to leave, as Sol grabbed him by his sleeve. With a sudden shift in tone, she spoke in a way that could only be described as a whisper ”Wait, if you're already going, you're taking them with you.. at least then you'll do something actually useful.. I'm letting you off with a warning, just... sigh.. just don't pull another stunt like this again. I don't want you to get yourself in more trouble.“ With that, she turned away and walked towards the crater, ignoring the flames that were desperately trying to engulf her.
As Angel watched her, he failed to notice that the man on the right, presumably Felix, approached him. His eyes were filled with pure hate, as he let out a cold sneer ”What a wonderful.. destructive.. stunt you just pulled! Oh how lovely it is to see your rotten face again..“ He said in a mocking tone, his pupils dilated into slits, ”No wonder you never completed your training, even now after all this time. Seems like old habits grow old Angel.. you really haven't changed one bit. Tsk, not like any of your feral kind has. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have to deal with all of this bullshit.“ His tail flicked around, as he circled him, with Angel merely accepting the crude words spoken about him. Felix continued, clenching his fist ”If I had the choice, I would've sent all of you back to the sewers where your filthy kind belongs. That your ilk even has the guts to live here.. urgh.. the only thing you contribute is disturbing the peace that was once held here.“ Angel furrowed his brows, yet didn't reply, glancing over to Sol who was returning, as he whispered back to him ”Do you want your sister to know what you think of her and her 'kind'..“ Felix growled at him, looking at him as if he were to pounce at him at any minute. ”She doesn't count.. she's different.“ He managed to spit back, before returning to his previous place, staring daggers into Angel and whispered about something with the other man.
As Sol returned, Xavier, who was mostly confused and partially appalled by whatever that conversation just now was, noticed that she was carrying the tiny person that he previously saw. Seeing how the tiny, soaked, person was shivering tremendously and coughing up a storm, he concluded that Angel was supposed to take them to a hospital as well.. or whatever form of hospital existed here. The poor guy was coughing so hard that the same black liquid, that leaked from Angels arm, exited its mouth. He hoped that Angel wouldn't use this opportunity to abuse the person's weakened state for his own twisted desires. However when he glanced up, he noted that Angel seemed to be observing the tiny man with genuine caution and care, with his hand cupped to hold them properly.
[ At least they wouldn't be subject to Angels torment. ]
With the shaking person safely secured in Angels hands, Sol turned away, turning her head, speaking up to get her point across, again ”Next time.. just let us handle them. There is no reason for you to get into more trouble, than you already are. Good day, son.“ She turned her head back around, flicking her large tail slightly as a way to say goodbye.
Upon her departure, Xavier fought his way out of Angels fur. His mind was swirling with a ton of questions, making his head all dizzy. However, not only did he have a ton of questions, but to hear that the woman was apparently Angels mom was a bomb shell he didn't think would drop, especially with how tense Angel was the whole conversation. Including the fact that Angel barely bit back with his, usually, sharp tongue, as if he were some kind of caged criminal that were held at the stake; utterly helpless, with people throwing tomatoes at him.
Despite Xavier trying not to feel any sympathy for him, having heard Angel being belittled and mocked for who he was, or better, for what 'kind' he belonged to, made him feel genuinely bad, even if Xavier himself didn't like Angel, nor his actions. After all, it wasn't his species that made Xavier despise his guts.
”Let's go, Xavier..“ Angel whispered softly, gently caressing the back of the tiny, coughing, person. His eyes were focused on the ground, as he slumbered along, making sure to keep the sick person in his hands away from Xavier, not that he ended up attacking him for his warm blood. To prevent this, he made sure the little fella was warm enough, by covering their body with one hand and gently blowing hot breath on them to keep them from shaking.
Bringing them so close to his mouth, he felt Xavier flinched, raising an eyebrow, he looked down, asking him ”What is it? ...you don't actually think I'd cannibalise on my own people.“ Xavier hesitated to say anything, however quickly waved with his hands ”No no, of course...not.“ he chuckled nervously, seeing Angel observe him quietly, as if to see if he was lying, ”Uhm.. don't worry.. that being said, I have... A ton of questions, I hope you understand... Sir..?“ he smiled awkwardly, hoping that would soothe any on coming anger coming from Angel, however he merely looked away, giving a small nod in agreement. Xavier was unsure if he should continue, yet at the same time, he didn't want to be left in the dark. Carefully he started ”So... About those mons–“ pretty quickly he was cut off, by a now aggravated Angel. ”They're.. we aren't monsters! Stop calling us that.“ he clenched his fists, ”It's not our fault we turn into them, do you really think we want to be one of those creatures of destruction!?“ He growled at him, however Angels response made Xavier widen his eyes, careless about Angels reaction. ”You.. turn into them?“ he uttered under his breath. Angel closed his eyes and turned his head in shame ”..yes. we do, who do you think I'm carrying right now?“ Xavier swallowed, remembering how it tore apart a person's body, devouring their flesh, as he expressed the words that were in both of their minds ”... you're carrying the Mon-.. the creature.“
Angel nodded, trying to ignore the fact that the human almost referred to his people as monsters again. He took a moment, not responding right away, with his shoulders slumped and his tail dragging on the ground in an upset manner. He didn't like revealing such information, lest Xavier view him as much more of a threat than he already was. With that in mind, he tried to explain their situation further, to prevent any unnecessary confusion ”Not all of us can turn into them, rather, only one of the two groups, that divide us, can. . .“ His voice sounded tired, as his eyes wandered of into the distance. Noticing Angels change of tone, he glanced back down at the seemingly sick individual, out of pity.
Despite knowing this tiny creature was the cause of so much destruction, his head couldn't, or rather, didn't want to accept that fact. After all nothing so helpless.. so sick, could ever do so much harm, right? Then again even his own, practically unimportant, kind, that existed in the vast landscape of space, was capable of destroying complete cities in a blink of an eye. With his attention being focused back on the tiny 'monster' in Angels hand, he noticed that the tiny creatures coughing had seemingly gotten worse, with its blood continuing to trickle on to Angels hand. He wondered if perhaps this sickness was the reason for the transformation into such gruesome beast of destruction. ”They.. turned into one and they seem.. sick.“ he nervously said, looking back up at Angel, who continued to stare at some invisible dot in the distance, “Do only sick people ..of that particular group turn“ Angel let out a small chuckle, as if he found his words amusing, shaking his head ”No, though it would certainly make life easier. In fact, that's the state we go into when we get sick.. which happens after someone turns back into their normal selves. It's like.. an energy reserve and If anything.. no one knows if someone would transform into one.. it can happen to anyone at any moment.. “ The more Angel rambled on, the more his voice fell back into a monotone tone. His shoulder slumped down, which caused him to almost drop the supposed monster in his hands.
Xavier listened to Angel quietly, making sure to grasp his words fully. His mind was barely able to comprehend the last several weeks he was in this strange world, let alone grapple with the destruction of his home. A part of him felt horrible, somewhat disappointed in him for asking, seemingly, unimportant questions. If anything, he should just try to find a way to escape and forget about this hell hole he was trapped in. Yet his human nature, his curiosity, seemed to be careless about that.. or perhaps, it was merely a way for him to get his mind off of everything that had happened. How strange human nature is.
Focusing back on reality, he realised that Angel seemed to be waiting for more questions, seemingly afraid he might view them all as a threat. Perhaps the sheer size difference and the latest aggressive encounter seemed indifferent to him, though he'd use this opportunity regardless to learn and understand more, perhaps even give some advice ”I.. I mean, if those people are truly such a threat.. cant those who turn be kept away somewhere, for the safety of others..?“
However is idea seemed to only enrage the giant ”What the fuck Xavier!..“ he burst out, yet quickly quieted down, noticing people staring in confusion at him, ”... Don't you ever say that again, got that? You're acting as if all of us are constantly stomping around a city to destroy it..! You.. you know nothing you pathetic weasel. Do you think my people want to cause such destruction! Of course not. We just want to live normal lives as well..! Heck, most of us don't ever turn anyway! It's.. it's not our fault.. we aren't monsters... we're also people... just.. shut- shut up okay!“ his voice was shaky, breaking in the end. Xavier was staring at him with eyes just as open as his. Clutching his fur and trying not to scream out in fear. He felt the giants rapid breath wash over him, making his eyes tear up.Whilst Xavier wasn't new to Angels sudden outbursts, this time, he noticed how Angel seemed to plead with him, as if to convince not only him, but himself that they truly weren't the threat they were made out to be.
Angel bit his lip, seeing Xavier's fearful reaction. He didn't want to lash out in public, especially not after what happened earlier. He knew that people were staring at him judgmentally.. he knew they didn't want him here, which only fueled his building anger. Stopping in his tracks, he took a deep breath and looked down at the ill person. Seeing how miserable they were, he glanced down to his pocket where he kept his sweet sweet medication and couldn't help but smile slightly, calming him down. He knew he'd take some later, just in case
[ At least I won't be turning anytime soon. ]
After Angel calmed his mind, he continued walking, with Xavier shamefully looking down to Angels feet. His long strides were rhythmic and strangely soothing to Xavier, like one of those satisfying videos he used to watch back at home. Warmth filled his heart thinking about his old life. The more he thought of it, the more he missed the little things about it, that made his day shine a little brighter. Even if they were as little as the sun shining and hitting his skin. Hearing the laughter of some giant children running by, made him remember always passing a small playground. Where cheerful children often played at, with parents gossiping about whatever hot tea kept them occupied enough to not zone out, out of boredom. Sadness struck him, knowing that that small place, that used to bring so much happiness, was now destroyed, by someone, who supposedly liked children. He glanced back at the children that were running after each other, noticing the different appearances in each of them. None of them looked like they belonged to only two groups, which got him curious. He carefully cleared his throat, trying to not sound rude, as he slowly looked back at Angel. ”Y..you mentioned two groups of yours“ he asked slightly confused, ”Yet to me, you all look.. different from each other, as if there are more than just two groups you could belong to.“
His words seemed to spark slight amusement in Angel, who hastily shook his head, which made Xavier glad to have changed the subject to something.. better. ”No no, you got it all wrong, human! We might all look different, but there really are only two groups that truly separate us, our third eyes and its placement of course. Like.. mine, the so called lunaris, is on my forehead and.. and the other group, called the uhh.. solaris, has it in its left eye and Its left eye specifically!“ he grinned proudly, as he gave his human some insight, as he continued, “Though you're not entirely wrong.. we do get classified under certain families. For instance I'd be a part of the bovidae family.. since.. you know, I'm a goat.“ he let out a nervous chuckle, his eyes darting back down to the human.
Angel then observed him, as Xavier processed the new information he had gathered, like a hungry animal trying to find any kind of scrap to devour. It still felt strange to tell this tiny biped anything at all about his people. Regardless, he was quite happy to talk to Xavier, the human was too cute not to observe, even if he got on his nerves sometimes.
Xavier listened to Angels rambling, seeing just how quickly he became happy. He didn't even notice the dumb smile that formed on his mouth, as he leaned against the fur with his hand on his cheek.
What an emotionally wild rollercoaster he was on..

Fangs and Fur: chapter 11
Warning, this chapter features blood and a bit off gore!!Despite being trapped in loads of soft fluff, he barely felt it brush against his body. With each step the giant took, getting away from whatever new horrors this world had to offer, he was at risk of falling out. Yet, his head didn't register it. In fact, his own mind blocked out most of the chaos, that surrounded him.His eyes, watery and blurry, stared at something far In the distance. His hands were desperately clutching Angels fur, his body tensing up, until his he had to close his eyes to bare it.
Nothing, but numbness fogged his mind. He hadn't noticed how Angel protectively covered his body with his hand.
He heard their screams again. So close, yet so distant, as if he wasn't truly there.
As if it all was just a distant memory that his mind had continued to replay. Slowly he turned his head around, catching a mere glimpse of that.. thing.
He physically gagged, when he saw how sharp teeth hungrily ripping off the flesh of one of its poor victims. Their body was twisted into an unnatural way, with the beasts aggressive nature only making it worse, presumably to make sure that, until their last breath, they suffered.
As if it felt watched, he looked up to stare at Xavier. Without another thought, it rushed after him or at least that's what he believed, as it came closer.
Xavier, unable to stop himself from staring, noticed that something started to feel off about this.. thing. Its unnatural shape suddenly began to constantly form anew, as though it wasnt able to choose what it wanted to present as. Regardless of what Xavier saw, it looked more horrifying than before. The world around it warped and contorted into bizarre shapes, causing objects, even houses, to float into the sky and shatter, like glass. The longer Xavier stared at it, not being able to break his stare, the more its visage shifted into things that were more.. personal. Faces, objects, animals, he swore he could even make out Angels face, even if it was on display for a split second. Taking forms that reflected his own fear. Its Mouth was gaping open, as if it was trying to to feed off of his fear it created. He continued to not be fully present, only capable of staring into the dark abyss, that only came closer, until he heard the giant mumble something. As if snapped out of a trance, he could break his stare. His eyes darted up, trying to make out what Angel was saying under his breath. "Don't stare at." Angel whispered, surprisingly calm, covering Xavier's field of vision from it, "It will only trick your mind into seeing your own fears.. to make you more suitable for consumption." Irritated, yet still scarred from that experience, he hugged Angels thumb, or at least tried to, shivering uncontrollably.
Angel, who thought this was some kind of out of place affection, gently caressed Xavier's head with his other hand. He tried to be as gentle as possible, as he still had to focus on running away, with the beast approaching. When Xavier didn't recoil, either out of sheer fear or enjoyment, Angel couldn't help but smile. At least his little guy was safe. Continuing to run away, trying to find a way to get away, he passed by a little child, that was fearfully staring into the eyes of the ever approaching ravaging monster before it. He halted In his tracks. He couldn't let this poor child become a victim. Taking a deep breath, he hesitantly lowered his defence on Xavier, pushing him down his chest fluff and rushed back to the shivering child. Even though he knew he shouldn't do it, he wouldn't dare let an innocent child be harmed, when he could've prevented it. After all, he didn't care about rules.
The creature, now looming over the trembling child, opened up its horrifyingly large mouth, rows of teeth circled around the inside of its maw. Black goo dripped down to the ground, like some slobbering dog, ready to devour its treat. As the monster was about to tear apart its prey, Angel rushed in between the two. He swiftly lifted up the still shaking child and bolted it into the other direction. Holding the child close to his chest, he caressed the back of their head and reassured them in a soothing manner. "It's alright... I'll get you to safety. Don't worry.. I'll keep you safe." The kid nodded slightly, closing their eyes and burying their head into Angels chest fluff.Xavier had to make sure not to be squished or worse, found by the giant child, so he tried to wiggle his body away to make space. Though he couldn't help but look into the child's teary eyes. The despair he saw reflected that of his own. He never imagined seeing such a large creature, even if it was still a kid, to cower in fear. It was obvious that whatever disturbing images they were faced with, scarred them for life. Their lips trembled, mumbling words that he couldn't quite make out. Yet he knew he didn't have to, to him the child's wishes were obvious. Just like he did, they wished for those horrifying images to be forgotten about.
Taking a deep breath, he carefully reached out and caressed the child's cheek. The child, flinched and opened its eyes wide, burying themselves deeper into Angels fur out of fear. "D-.. don't worry, I won't hurt you.." Xavier whispered in a soothing voice, "Its all going to be okay, I promise.." The kids eyes darted down to Xavier, dilating at the sight of him. Their mouth now agape, they observed him quietly. His presence seemingly distracted the child from the things going on around them.
[ Better than nothing at least. ]
Xavier thought, smiling up to the child, that stared down at him in awe. Lowering their head, their nose tried to pick up his scent. Somewhat used to it, Xavier allowed himself to be not only sniffed, but analysed in general. Even though a part of him previously worried that the kid might grab him and see him as nothing but a toy, surprisingly the child was quite gentle with exploring their curiosity. Angel continued his sprint, with the monster right on his tracks. Despite trying to lose it by running in between the crumbling buildings around him, the beast didnt seem to want to give up. As much as he wanted to be angry at himself for putting himself in this position, knowing he rescued a child, gave him the strength to continue. Looking down, he noticed how Xavier was calming down the child. A bit of panic arose in him, knowing that Xavier shouldn't be revealing himself like this, as it could get him in trouble. Glancing over to the child, he saw how interested and happy the child was, reminding him of his own childhood. It was going to be fine..
Seeing a nearby alleyway, he ran towards it, almost getting his tail bit off by the creature. Running into it, he quickly made a nearby object, a trashcan, float up, throwing it at the monster to distract it just for a second. The giant behemoth seemed to be displeased, biting down on the trashcan and shaking it violently. With the monster distracted, Angel gladly took the small time frame he had to get on top of the roof, by using some ladders. Right after he managed to reach the top, the giant had already dismantled the trashcan, slowly looming over the building, casting a dark shadow over him, flashing its distorted teeth. It let out a disturbing howl and charged at Angel with an open maw.
By now, Angel had realised he had no other option but to fight the creature, he just needed a more open space in case something went wrong. Angel promptly pulled out his gun and with extreme precision, he aimed and shot its eye, causing the monster to screech. It quickly reformed its eye in a creepy manner. Angel backed away, knowing fully well he angered it. He had to make sure not to drop the child, as he shot the creature again and again. This stopped the creature, yet not for long. It charged at Angel again, resulting in another bullet being fired at it. Angel began to get more nervous, he had hoped that the creature would give up, however not only was that hope dwindling, but so were his bullets. Despite this, he didn't have time to reload his gun, as the creature wouldn't falter.
With the creature back up on its feet, it rushed to attack Angel once more, he aimed his gun, waiting for the right moment to fire. Right as the monster opened its cavernous maw, Angel fired. Click.Time slowed as the sound resonated with Angel. Looking up from his gun, he only saw large glistening teeth, that had waited long enough for its prey, with drops of black goo dripped down its fangs.
Angel could only watch as the giant maw enveloped his arm, slowly crunching down on it. Blood splattered on to the ground and Angels body, staining his white fur with the blackness within him. His eyes twitched, feeling his blood trickle down his torn off arm. Regardless, he couldn't bring himself to stare into its hypnotising eyes. The silence, that surrounded Angels mind, broke with the small whimpers of the child, who had to witness such a disturbing scene. Like shattering glass, Angel got pulled out of his trance state in an instant. He furrowed his brow in frustration, not only did this thing take his gun, but his arm too! Not only that, it continued to frighten the poor child. With a quick motion, he placed the child down behind him.Glaring back up at the creature once more, who was about to use one of its large claws to rip into his body, he snarled, shaking his head in disdain. Stronger amounts of energy started to course through his body, his eyes beginning to glow a pinkish red. Right as the monster was about to land its hit, he casually flicked his wrist. The ground began to quiver, as all of a sudden the ground beneath it began to rapidly crack open, like a huge scar a giant claw could've created.
This caused the giant beast to lose balance in its footing, stumbling back in surprise and missing its attack by just an inch. Right as the creature regained its composure, with it letting out a haunting howl, an ominous pink glow emitted from the depths of the pit. Large glowing pink pillars erupted from the ground, shooting high up and circling around the large creature, trapping it. "I suggest you cover your eyes.." Angel uttered under quite a confident smile.
Xavier who had watched the whole ordeal hadn't even realised he was spoken to, as he assumed Angel was speaking to the child. Though seeing the light below starting to get brighter, he hastily obliged, closing his eyes shut and turning his head away. Right as he did so, he could sense a sudden burst of energy below him, making him huddle further into Angels fur. Taking a deep breath, Angel focused, ignoring the blood that gushed out of his ripped off arm. It merely fueled his rage, as he hissed "Sorry 'bout this, but I won't risk letting you harm a child, let alone take one of my guns." Lifting his working hand, he snapped his fingers. A shockwave of energy coming from it, as with another small earthquake, a large Lazer burst from the scar, engulfing the creature fully. The Lazer cut through the pavement and buildings effortlessly, leaving traces of pink flames in the surrounding area, destroying more than just the monster. Its screeches were barely heard over the powerful burst, as it tried to get away. However the pillars, that seemed to shoot up into the sky endlessly, prevented the creature from escaping its gruesome fate. Xavier feeling the warmth radiating on his back wondered what the hell was creating that warmth. Despite his curiosity gagging his mind, he couldn't bring himself to open his eyes, merely accepting that, whatever it was that Angel was doing, would work out. He wouldn't want to be faced with another traumatising sight. With another snap, the Lazer vanished with the pillars like dust, leaving behind nothing but a large crater and a small puddle of black liquid as the remains of the beast. Angel merely smiled in amusement, whilst the child and Xavier hugged Angel out of fear, yet still being grateful to be safe now. Hesitantly Xavier opened his eyes back up. His heart jumped a beat at the sight he was met with. The building, that Angel was standing on, was almost completely destroyed, with debris crumbling to the ground. Pink flames, which burned passionately around the large crater, licked against nearby buildings, ready to devour them in their flames. He was about to huddle back into the safe space, that was Angels fur, when he noticed something small moving at the center of the crater. It flailed around helplessly in the small puddle of the mysterious black fluid. It was completely covered in goo, trying to desperately get it off of their tiny body. Yet it seemed that they lacked the strength to achieve that, as their frantic movements ceased every so often.
Perhaps this was a surviving victim of that behemoth. Guilt trickled into Xavier's mind, feeling empathy and understanding in how terrified they must be. He hugged his shivering body, imagining himself hugging the person below in a comforting manner. He knew all too well what effects such a horrific attack could do to a person. His eyes wandered up to look at Angel, who had turned around to comfort the child.
[ How could someone be so careless about other people's lives, when they themselves experienced the same things. ]
Though he didn't need to ponder on the question for too long, having realised that he wasn't a person to Angel, nor were any of the other people he had tormented or killed. At least, that's what he thought, as Angel still seemed to care in some aspects about him, even worrying about him in some instances, regardless of if those instances were the direct results of his actions. If he truly didn't value him, he would've simply not cared.. or maybe he just wanted to get him fixed up so he could continue tormenting him.Xavier placed the palm of his hands on his eyes and rubbed them, out of frustration. He couldn't make sense of Angels thought processes or his constant whiplash in his emotions. Especially in his sudden emotional outbursts and quite wild ideas. It drained his energy and his patience, neither of which was fun to him. Feeling a sudden pressure against his body, he snapped back to reality. To his relief it was merely the child trying to see if he was alright. He smiled weakly, trying to show his tiredness and overall broken down appearance, as he gently hugged the child's finger. Somehow, the care the child showed towards him in this exact moment gave him a bit of hope. He wasn't sure for what exactly, perhaps for the future generation or that not all of them were like.. Angel.
[ Something is definitely wrong with him.. ]
With the child calming down with the help of Xaviers presence, Angel was relieved he could help out the child. He gently lifted the child back up into his, now, one arm, though he didnt mind if it meant keeping the kid safe. He carefully made his way down the buildings which was quite hard with no free arm to use. The child was clingy onto Angel tightly to avoid falling down, which only made balancing harder. Though luckily, with a bit of effort he managed to get down safely, gently placing the child back down. "There you go kiddo.." Angel mused softly, "Be more careful next time, I'm sure you don't want to get yourself badly hurt. Hah- I mean look at my arm!" He glanced down at it, smiling awkwardly when he noticed the child looking concerned. Crouching down, he hastily reassured them, shaking his hands in a dismissive manner "Dont ya worry your little head about it, I'll be a-okay in no time! It barely even hurts.. now then, go on already.. you should take some rest, this was quite the rollercoaster after all." He sighed and petted the child's head aiming to cheer up the child. "Thank you sir.." the child whispered, hugging him, then looking down at Xavier, "And.. thank you too little person.." The child giggled, with Xavier petting their cheek. With that, the child ran off, waving bye to the both of them.
He watched as the child ran off, before getting back up on his feet. He then looked down to his human. In a surprising concerning manner, Angel spoke to Xavier "Are you alright? Did the creature scare you all too much?" Xavier, slightly surprised at the perturbed tone of his voice, was unsure how to respond properly. He was bewildered and Angels sudden care for the child, even gleeful over the fact he had lost his arm, but at the same time he wss confused, scared and somewhat upset that Angel hadn't defeated the creature prior. Trying to speak up, he stuttered "I.. uhm.. I don't know. It's all... just a blur- i... wow.. you were like... kind of awesome- but.. why the hell didn't you do that.. earlier..? After all that monster almost killed us!" Angels eyes widened a bit at Xavier's words, surprised that he was complementing him, yet there was a glimmer of pain in his eyes. He furrowed his brows in slight frustration, which confused Xavier even more.
Trying to avert the humans stare, he glanced down to the crater he had created, including the destruction it had caused around the area, then back to Xavier. "Dont.. worry about it too much. Let's just say.. we have our reasons not to fight those creatures ourselves. We.. should get out of here now.. I don't want that-"
A feminine voice from behind behind cut him off, speaking up in a frustrated tone.
"Angel, what the hell were you thinking!"

Fangs and Fur: chapter 10
Cool air blew against them as Angel entered the store. He felt how the human squirmed around a bit, seemed like it was a bit too cold for him. That didn't really matter though, he just had to make sure Xavier was nicely hidden in his fur. He didn't need anyone asking questions about him, let alone find out about Xavier to begin with. They'd take him away from him and he didn't want that. This was his human.. and he wouldn't want to share. Plus from all of his people he knew the most about humans, how frail they were, how they popped under his boots and how fun it was to crush them up in his mouth. He could practically feel their squirms in his maw already!
He let out a small purr which alerted the cashier. Their dark blue eyes looked at him, as they furrowed their brows and bared their teeth. Their light blue fur seemed to quite literally sizzle. Getting up from their chair, they stared at Angel intensely, clenching their fist. "It's you again! You still owe me money, remember?" Angel sighed and shrugged dramatically "It is what it is, I don't have your money at the moment.. hey maybe next time you're lucky and I'll remember." The cashier guy just growled, yet seemed to back off. Crossing their arms, they sat back down on their chair. Angel gave them a big grin and quickly made his way to some of the aisles.
He stopped in the middle of the aisle and gently petted his companions head, who was still shaken up by the current encounter. However Angel didn't seem to really care and instead bent down in order for Xavier to see the aisles that were meant for smaller people. "So.. you can show me what you can eat here and I'll just prepare you a nice meal with the items that I will then choose, alright?" Xavier cocked a brow "What you choose? I want to choose what I want to eat." the giant sighed, rolling his eyes and glanced down at Xavier. Between gritted teeth he hissed "Unless you want to cook a meal on my giant stove alone, I'm the one choosing the meal, got it?"
Xavier scowled and looked away. He'd cross his arms, yet the fur around him kept his arms in place... Like some gross furry prison. He wasn't even sure if this giant monster felt the need to shower in the first place. Xavier continued to pout like a little kid, until the corners of his mouth began to ache. It wouldn't have been a problem to him, though even the short period of time being around Angel made him feel pathetic. These emotions were new to him, never before had he felt like this. He hated his frail body, seeing how weak it was compared to the giant, who held his life in his hands. . . Or paws or whatever you would call them. The way none of his actions truly had any effect now only fed this strange, disgusting, new feeling. Even his own meal was chosen by the colossal beast, as if he wasn't even human. A person with thoughts and feelings, rather a toy or a.. pet who couldn't survive on its own. A creature bred to be held captive, a creature whose only purpose is to serve and entertain.
Anger began to boil in him again, it could've cooked up a whole meal, even for someone like him. He wanted nothing more than to scream, to rip out strands of fur and make himself known and show this world that he was of importance and not just some animal. Yet, not only was his voice merely a whisper to these giants, his diminutive size and the fear of angering the one who tore off his favourite leg stopped him. He paused. His favourite leg? Now even his own mind was against him, making sure those grueling feelings within him grew darker, and thus harder to bare. He felt so betrayed by himself.
How could he even think such things.
Lost in his own headspace, the sudden feeling of cold metal pressing against his face made him jolt up. "If you're done grumbling around like the stomach of a bear, can you help me choose the food items you can eat? I can't read your mind, ya know?" Xavier let out a huff, at least his own thoughts were in control of him.. for the most part at least.
Turning his attention to the can, he noticed that the image displayed on it, resembled that of a tomato. Sure, the colours were slightly off and it's shape was a bit different, however, overall it resembled a tomato. With an annoyed sigh, he gave Angel a yes in the form of a grumble.
What Angel thought to be a smile of happiness, that he was giving by bringing the human here, was in reality a smirk coming from Xavier, who enjoyed the fact that he could choose how to respond to him. Regardless of what Xavier's true intentions were, for just a moment, both of them were happy.
Even though Xavier knew he'd get on Angel's nerves, only answering with grunts and small nods, and risking losing another leg, he also knew that Angel would have to wait until they were back at home to let his frustration out on him. Though his anger would've surely be gone by then. And even if not, seeing Angel force a smile, trying to hide his feelings, made it worth the risk. After another gesture of acceptance to one of the food items Angel had shown him, his eyes wandered to the floor. There, near one of the small isles, was a tiny woman wandering around. She barely reached Angels ankles, yet didn't seem to mind and continued her shopping. She was wearing a nice pink dress, with a big white bow, that gave off the illusion as if she had big puffy wings. For a second he thought it was a human, that perhaps Angel lied to prevent him from leaving or crying out. Yet, to his pity, upon closer inspection he noticed small, inhuman features that clearly painted a different picture, such as pointy ears, golden eyes and small black markings on both their face and hands. Upset that the feeling of loneliness returned, in a sarcastic tone he whispered up to Angel "Oh look! Another tiny person, are you going to eat them too now?" Angel let out an indignant gasp. He glared at Xavier, snarling at him and growling loudly "I don't eat every tiny person I see! Urgh, I have enough of y-" A shrill noise, which resembled that of a hiss, from below cut Angel off. The woman seemed to have heard what Angel said and didn't look all too happy by his words. With a surprisingly loud voice, she hissed back "How could you say that! Are you trying to make me scared? What the hell is wrong with you for thinking of doing that! Oh... wait till your mother hears about this, young man!" She approached him, leaving a trace of sparkles behind, and kicked his foot. With that, she flicked her hair, let out an annoyed huff and floated away.
Xavier's mouth was gaping in surprise and joy of the sudden outburst and bravery coming from the lady. Looking up at Angel, he saw he was visibly upset, with a big frown and wide eyes, like a child that accidentally broke something. That only making the situation funnier to him. Trying his best not to burst out laughing "h..heh- what did she mean with.. telling your mom?" Angel shot him a deadly glare and, behind gritted teeth, uttered "She often buys pastries at my Mother's bakery.. and sometimes they have a little chit-chat about work, life and.... me." Angels ears twitched and slowly dropped down, pushing Xavier over the edge. Without warning, he burst out laughing, having to grip Angels fur tightly to steady himself. Tears of genuine joy rolled down his cheek, as he laughed about how embarrassing the situation was for Angel. Angel on the other hand didn't like this humiliation one bit, however before he got the chance to snatch up his little companion and shove him down his throat to shut him up, the cashier called him over. With a groan, he shoved Xavier down into his fur again. At least that muffled his laughter.
Clenching his fist and holding his bag, with the items he needed for a nice meal in the other, he marched over to the register. Forcing a smirk when he approached the register, he kept a distance so the cashier wouldn't notice anything off. "That lady complained that you were saying something about.. eating tiny people? Man.. I know you're weird and all, but do you have to scare off customers like that? Just keep what's on your head to yourself." The Cashier said nonchalantly, leaning back in his chair and stretched his arms, as if he was used to Angels weird comments. "Oh! Hah, that-.." Angel paused, thinking of how to cover himself, before getting an idea, "You see, as an entertainer, I have many roles I have to jump in! This.. was just me accidentally blurting out one of my characters thoughts.. to make them more.. authentic when it's time to present them, hahaha!" The cashier sighed and shook his head. With a gentle, yet stern voice he responded "Be more careful with your words next time, the lady wasn't all too pleased, thats for sure. Sigh, now get out of here before I kick ya out.. and get me my money, you know I charge for extra food. Oh and.. say hi to your mother from me when you go visit her, those cream puffs were immaculate." A mocking grin formed on the cashier's lips, saying those last few lines, seemingly knowing that they'd upset Angel. Clearly hurt by those words, he turned away and stormed out of the shop, taking the items with him, as he heard small chuckles.
They not only came from the cashier, but also from Xavier, who had listened to their brief conversation. Glaring holes into his fur, he plucked Xavier out of it and shook him slightly. "It was not funny at all! It's.. it's not my fault my mother has so many damn connections!" Angel growled, "you... You guys can't just make fun of me like that!" Xavier, on the other hand, had to try and force himself to stop "Cmon big guy, it was kind of funny.. and stop shaking me, unless you want your fur to be covered in barf " Angel shrieked and stopped almost instantly. The more Xavier looked into Angel's puffed up, blushing red face, the more he began to slowly feel a bit bad for laughing at him, his wide, glassy eyes, as if he were on the verge of crying, made that feeling grow. It was like staring into the eyes of a puppy, which was partially adorable, yet on the other hand uncanny. He didn't want to feel pity for this giant, especially when he looked at him that way. Though as he glanced at the bag Angel was carrying, realising he had just walked out without paying, the guilt washed away like mouthwash.
How could he not pay underpaid workers? They were trying to make a living and he didn't even give the man a dime. In fact, he didn't even remember Angel taking a wallet with him. Was Angel so used to stealing items, he stopped taking money with him? And was the money that angel owed, the cashier was referring to? Then why would he allow Angel to shop further.. to further undermine the work cashiers were doing. The job he himself did. He should've called the cops! Unless.. they didn't have those. Not even a justice system for people who wanted to make a living. The happiness he felt was now replaced with resentment, again. Though before he could comment on how disrespectful Angel was, he heard a quivering voice coming from Angel "Im.. I'm trying to get you food so you don't die and you repay me by laughing at me! Just wait till we're home! Oh.. I'm gonna-"
He stopped mid-sentence. His ears twitched and his pupils dilated, as he looked around frantically. He slowly backed away, trying to re-enter the store, yet, to Xavier's surprise and confusion, a loud thud was heard, causing Angel to stop. As Angel hastily turned around, Xavier saw how the doors were now barricaded with metal bars, preventing anyone from entering.
The Cashier, now visibly disturbed, was hiding behind his register, shaking his head violently as Angel frantically tried to get back inside. With frustration, he exclaimed "Let u-.. Let me in! Let me in!!" Though the cashier didn't make any effort to open up the door and rather rudely replied "No! Unless you get me my money, you're not coming inside! Everyone for themselves!" With that, the doors fully shut, with a metal wall fully sealing the entrance shut. Xavier grew more and more irritated with each passing moment with Angels sudden change in demeanour. These feelings only grew when he saw how people were running away, surprisingly not from Angel for once, yet something else entirely. Even Angel was now quickly walking away from the store, clearly distraught by.. something. His eyes darted around, trying to look for.. something.
A child could be heard crying somewhere behind them, with people trying to soothe them, as they escorted them away by the hand. Despite the lack of the ability to smell fear, from the way everyone was acting, nothing but terror was in the air, only fuelling his own fear. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, mustering up the courage to ask Angel ".. What the hell is going on. Why.. why is everyone acting up. . . . Oh man, I- I don't like this at all.." Angel let out a hefty sigh, taking a sudden turn and pressing himself against the wall, to allow others to pass by swiftly. Barely paying attention to Xavier flailing his arms around, waiting for a response. He tried to focus on something, as he answered Xavier, a bit annoyed "You can't.. hear the alarm? Seems like your ears are horrible too... What even is good about your bodies other than they taste quite good?" Xavier, not enjoying being in the dark, quickly snapped back "That was unnecessary. A- and.. no. I can't.. hear any alarms! What's this supposed alarm even for? And get to the point this time..! " Rolling his eyes and looking back down at Xavier, Angel huffed "Well I'm sorry that I'm trying to concentrate, to know where I should be heading. Right now, our only goal is to get away from that thing."Before Xavier can ask what "that thing" was supposed to mean, a loud roar could be heard in the distance.
Xavier tried to muster up a response, yet the sight of a large, purely black beast, raising itself to its feet, towering over the buildings themselves, made him lose his voice. Not only did it remind him of when Angel attacked his own city, this creature.. thing .... Or whatever it was, looked so disturbing, so unnatural, it truly shook him to his core. It let out another bloodcurdling screech, smashing one of the nearby buildings with one of its large claws, tearing it apart. Xavier's head was racing, but the only thing that came to his mind was more questions. Where the hell did that thing come from? Was this just another one of Angels people? Or was it something else entirely. Why did it seem as if these people were used to it, did this happen often? Yet in the end, only one question remained
Would they make it out alive?

This is chapter 9!! I couldn't add a title here (sos)
"You're hungry?" Angel tilted his head, confused. How could he already be hungry so soon. Sure, he was small, but he had eaten a day or two ago. He didn't need to eat so soon, that would be bad. But the growling noises coming from Xavier's stomach didn't just concern him, but also creeped him out. Seeing Xaviers cheeks go red and him covering his stomach with his arms, indicated to him that he didn't seem to enjoy this noise either.
After another deep breath, Xavier nodded, his stomach was causing him serious discomfort now. "Yes, I'm hungry. Starving even! Can't you.. I don't know.. give me a breadcrumb or something?? Ehh..heh- if you want of course" He gave an awkward smile, hoping he didn't anger the giant, seeing how deeply he seemed to be staring into his soul.
"But you just ate.." Xavier flinched at Angels sudden words, but, mostly irritated, answered "No.. I am seriously hungr-" he got cut off."
You just ate."
Angel repeated, furrowing his brows.
"I ate like two days ago!"
Xavier responded annoyed now, with a hint of fear in his voice. He didn't want Angel to break more of his bones or.. do something worse- "So? You still have like.. a week until you're allowed to eat." Allowed!? A week! He couldn't wait a week for a bit of food! So in the most polite way he could muster up, even adding a friendly smile into the mix, he asked "Are.. you not allowing me to eat for a week..to uhm... Torture me or something?" This seemed to surprise Angel "Huh? Did I say that? No. Your body wouldn't allow that! I'm helping you out here with your.. strong urges to eat I guess- I think you should get that checked out by a doctor" he whispered the last part, leaning in close doing so.
Xavier tries to push Angels face away, his hands merely sinking into his soft fur. God damn it. Why does his body also have to be squishier than a damn sponge
"What-.. what the hell is that even supposed to mean! I.. I'm literally trapped here-! Why would my body even need a week to be able to eat again? ....how many times do you think we have to eat in a week-" Angel was slightly surprised at Xavier's more loud exclamation, considering recent events, yet he rolled his eyes and responded in a sarcastic tone "Well surely it's every day almost every hour, with the way you're acting. Oh please.. you'll be fine for another week or so." Xavier looked at him dumbfounded.
Was this guy serious?
"sigh, yes. Yes I do. Normally three meals a day with some snacks on the side.. if I can afford that." He mumbled, he would just be honest, hoping he wouldn't use this info for some personal twisted use. He shivered at the thought of him capturing humans, just to let them starve. As much as he wanted to believe that no one would do that, he trusted this giant to perform such a cruel act. Looking back up, he expected a sadistic smirk, but was instead met with curious eyes, like some child that just found a shiny rock. Great. Now he was downgraded down to a shiny rock.
Angel gently wrapped his hand around Xavier, who was still floating mid air and placed him on his pillow. Patting the humans head, definitely not to play with his hair, he laid down on his stomach. With his hands on his cheeks and his legs propped up, kicking them in the air, he asked "You actually have to eat that much? That sounds.. overwhelming. Sad.. oh you sad, sad creature with your weird anatomy." Xavier shot him an annoyed glare, which he found quite amusing.
A small growl from Xavier made him hug himself again. He whined to himself, quietly, he just wanted a piece of food. Could this giant not ask questions later? With gritted teeth, he spoke "Yeah yeah, I'm pathetic, I think I got that so far. Can you please just get me something to eat." Angel, noticing the impatient tone in Xavier's voice, sighed deeply. If this meant the little dude wouldn't die, then he'd oblige. "Very well, it shouldn't be too hard to get you something to eat. I'll be right back!" With that, Angel quickly got up and ran out of the room, as if to quickly get away from a bomb that was about to explode. A few, agonizing, minutes later, Angel returned to Xavier, who was now curled into a Ball, clutching his stomach tightly. In a soft tone, he said "Dont worry, I got you something to eat.."
Opening his hand, he dropped a pile of large leaves in front of Xavier. At first he thought, maybe these were leaves used for a salad, though upon further inspection, Xavier realised that this was grass. Plain, simple grass. Was this some stupid joke?
Looking up at Angel however, only revealed that not only was he serious, he seemed to desperately want to watch Xavier eat this grass. As if he was some hamster trying to eat, with their owner watching over them, constantly awing at how adorable it was. At least now he wasn't a shiny rock anymore..
"...A- Angel, uhm.. what the hell is this? Do you think we eat grass or something?" With big, awaiting eyes, Angel nodded, pushing the grass blades closer to Xavier. "I tried plucking the best ones for you.. they all look the same to me though, so I'm sorry if this isn't up to your standards." Xavier tried to find a mocking tone in Angels voice, yet only seemed to find genuine care, which he found somewhat unnerving. "Err..it's nice that you're trying to feed me the good type of grass, I guess, but.." he gently pushed the grass away from him, "We humans don't eat.. grass." Angels mouth widened, a small gasp escaping his lips, surprised by this. "You.. don't eat grass? But I thought.. you did. I mean.. some of you had small patches of grass outside of your house... I thought you ate the grass from there."
Xavier shook his head in disbelief, did this guy know nothing about humans? Considering he seemed to only visit his world to torment the people there, that seemed to be true. "Those are gardens.. yes, some plant vegetables or fruits in their gardens, but they don't have them to eat the grass from there." Angel seemed to be genuinely upset by this and took away the grass. He let out a small snarl "I only wanted to help. What do you eat then, human." Xavier responded in a more friendly way, lest he anger the giant.. again. "Well, all sorts of things.. fruits, vegetables, meat and, yes, even things that are cooked, fried or what not." Angel stared at him, as if he had just revealed some dark secret humans had, before bursting out laughing, causing Xavier to flinch and stiffen up.
"You- hah.. you eat meat!? Hahaha! Look at your scrawny form! As if you could hunt animals! That's something I'd love to watch, watching you run around and fail to hunt even the simplest animals! You can barely even catch up to animals like rabbits and you're telling me you eat meat!" Xavier frowned at the mocking comments being made about him, not that they were necessarily wrong, but at least he didn't chase after helpless people that were barely a dusk speck compared to him.
His stomach grumbled again, seemed like he wasn't the only one who was annoyed by Angel. "Can you not give me some of the left over curry? Unless you already ate everything..-" Angel stopped laughing and went back to staring Xavier down. "No, I threw it away after you landed in my food. No offence, but I don't want your dirty germs all over my food."
As if you care about cleanliness.
Xavier thought, side eying Angels dirty room. With a heavy sigh, he looked back up to Angel "Could you.. perhaps cook me something?" Angel looked away, finally averting his gaze "I don't have any food right now.. I mean.. I only buy food when I want to cook something, so currently I have no food available.. ehe-" In a dramatic fashion, Xavier let himself fall on his back. "But.." Angel said slowly, "I could go out and get some food.." Xaviers mood lifted slightly, he could wait a little longer if that meant he would get some dinner soon. "However, you're coming with me. I am not getting food you can't eat in the end. That would just be a waste of product." Well there went his good mood. "Come.. with you? Outside where other giants like you are? ....no thanks. I'd much rather stay here." the giant placed a finger against his chin "You're not wrong.. I don't need them to know you exist, not that they run away screaming or something.." Angel mumbled.
Xavier thought Angel misspoke "Wait what? 'Run away screaming' why? Why would they do that" Angel nervously chuckled and looked away. Tripping over his words, he answered "Ehh.. Ehe, let's just say, they ...well uhm.. f.. fear you guys. Your whole world to be precise. Honestly anything that isn't from their world. We.. err aren't allowed to exit our world either. So it's best if no one finds out about your existence here." Xavier just looked at Angel as if he just told the most obscure and bizarre story ever. "Are you fucking with me right now?" Angel raised an eyebrow and looked him up and down. "No, I think both of our clothes are still on, unless..~ nevermind.." "What..?" Xavier, uncomfortable, scooted away slightly "No, that's not what I meant, weirdo- I meant.. how on earth are your people afraid of us!" Scratching the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact, Angel answered in a whispering tone "Well.. lets just say.. they have a different image when thinking of a human" Xavier's curiousity was peaked. "Different you say? Why, what do they think when thinking of us?"
"Let's not waste any time now! We...heh We don't want ya starving any further haha! Here let me hide your scent for you" He quickly grabbed Xavier and rapidly began licking him from the bottom to the top. Xavier thrashed around, trying to push away the fleshy muscle to no avail. Seemed like the giant was done with the conversation.
With a hefty sigh, Xavier let Angel lick him. If it was to taste him or to actually hide his scent, somehow, he couldn't tell, maybe it was both. After Angel was done, he tried to rub off some of the saliva with his sleeve, whilst kneading his chest fluff, with his other hand, to loosen it slightly. "There.. now you're all ready!" He lowered Xavier into his fur, squishing his fur together to prevent his new passenger from slipping down. Walking towards the door, he opened a small closet, where he grabbed his keys and a jacket he put on. Pushing away some of his stuff that laid around in there, revealed a small hidden drawer in the closet. Quickly he unlocked the drawer with a key and pulled it open. The object inside caused Xavier to flinch.
There, laid a gun with swirled rose-golden and white engravings on it. Whilst Xavier was clutching Angels fur in nervousness, Angel, on the other hand, didn't seem to mind, happily taking it out and viewing it. With a shaky voice, Xavier asked "Why- why are you taking that out. We.. we are just going to run some errands, right??" Angel gave a small nod "Yes, of course. But ya never know what could happen. I'm just making sure we'll stay safe, why, do you not own a gun?" Xavier wondered in what kind of neighborhood Angel lived in, where it was that dangerous, that he had to take a gun with him. Shaking his head, he answered "No. Why would I? I'm not American." Angel looked at him irritated, but didn't answer. He just shrugged and hid the gun in his chest fur, causing shivers to run down Xavier's spine.
Angel hummed as he walked down the streets with his company safely secured In his fur. Even if the human was tiny, the warmth radiating from his body made him shiver ever so slightly. He enjoyed it, he enjoyed every moment being near the human, feeding off of his energy and short temper. It amused him, in a way even made his day. In fact, a part of him enjoyed teasing the tiny more than torturing him physically. Screams were fun, but the ability to control every part of someone, to stop them from speaking further or choosing what they had to eat, simple things like that, made him feel even better. He was in control of Xavier's every action and he knew it. It's not like the human could put up a fight against him. The psychological torment gave him such a thrill. He grinned, his tail swishing around behind him. Looking down, he saw how Xavier looked around frantically, flinching every time a person walked by. How adorable.
Xavier looked around, his heart was in his throat. These creatures seemed to come in all sizes and forms. Some even towered over Angel, whilst in the corners of the streets he could see people his own size, if not slightly taller. They seemed to be waiting for.. something. Squinting his eyes, he tried to see what they could potentially be waiting for. There, a small platform lowered to the ground, with the tiny folks stepping on them, getting lifted into the air. Following their ascent upwards, he noticed long tubes spanning across the houses, with these smaller people running through them. That was definitely one way to get around, whilst also not risking getting stepped on. It didn't seem that any of the giants seemed to mind them though, which surprised him slightly. Though perhaps, if Angel had some kind of powers, so did they. Meaning they weren't as defenceless as he was. Just his luck..
Swallowing hard, he tried to somehow back away from a giant that passed them. Luckily they were too busy talking to someone on the phone, however their loud laughter rumbled through his ears, hurting his sensitive ear drums Glancing up, he saw how Angel seemed to be amused by his suffering. He frowned, averting his gaze quickly. He wouldn't cater to his amusement. With another giant passing them, he groaned, displeased with his current situation. Trying to lower himself into the fur, Angel chuckled slightly, using a finger to press him down. He glared at him, trying to whisper a curse up to him, though was met with a mouthful of fur, which strangely tasted like marshmallows.
Gross.
With a sigh, he spat out the fur and gave the biggest pout he could muster up, making sure Angel knew that this wasn't funny to him. So what if that only made it funnier, the giant already knew he hated this, why hide his emotion. He continued his pout until his mouth ached, making him stop. Though it seemed that not only he stopped, but so did Angel. With a shiver running down his spine, he heard the dreadful words.
"We're here."

Chapter 10

Me: I don't really like same size vore
What I actually mean: I dont really like any form of vore between 0-50ft
I know a 50ft person isn't same size, but I still imagine it to be hard to swallow a person whole. I think for me, if the image of a person swallowing another person is somewhat hard, I don't really like it. I can get into it, though I prefer my giants to be very very large. Sorry short giants, but you're not for me 😔💔.
Though that makes me curious, what size is perfect for vore for you
