Species: Sireno (male counterpart of a Siren/Sirena).

Unique Magic: Heed My Call. Has the power to hypnotize anyone by singing, allowing him to make them do his bidding. He can also suck out people’s voices as well as their magic to feed his own.

Appearance (Human Form):

Aurinelle has curly knee-length hair the color of freshly fallen snow, with purplish blue that starts at his roots and quickly fades into white. He cares for his hair like his life depends on it. His skin is entirely pale except for the patches of aero blue that surround the scales around his body. His scales are capable of changing color based on his mood, however he’s come to have control over that ability in order to avoid being easily read.

Aurinelle has a lithe body with impressive flexibility and is incredibly tall, towering over most students at a whopping 6’2 feet. His nails are naturally black and he paints over them with different types of glitters and decorations. His low, defined cheekbones make his facials look charmingly youthful. He has droopy hooded eyes colored a golden yellow that fades into a light blue. His eye lashes are long and well taken care of. On the other hand, the underside of his eyes are marked by heavy blueish eye bags (which he’s often nagged about by Vil).

Appearance (Merform):

In his merform, Aurinelle is extremely thin, yet incredibly strong. He is about 7 feet in length, and his entire body is painted in different shades of blues, purples and pinks. His massive tail has many different gems that act as his scales that also change color. His scales shine brightly in the dark, both on land and in the sea. His tail fins are an unadulterated white, which contrast with the rest of his body hue.

When in his merform, the color of his sclera changes from white to pitch black and his irises become solely yellow. The scales on his tail form a pattern of waves that entangle with each other in a sort of Yin Yang formation.

Personality:

Aurinelle is relatively quiet, and always has a resting bitch face on. He’s usually avoided for both his large size and for several lurking rumors about his identity and species, since no one actually knows what he is. He dislikes being questioned about his identity, because to land dwellers and coral sea inhabitants alike, sirens had gone extinct centuries ago. Imagine the ruckus if he were to be found out!

However, unlike many assumptions, Aurinelle is a wonderful listener and an impressive leader. That does not mean he can’t give firm and harsh criticism when required (some people in NRC need a harsh slap from reality). He’s protective of those whom he’s fond of, and is extremely soft to children, singing lovely lullaby songs if his appearance happens to intimidate them. He’s hardly ever deceived (Azul, Jade and Jamil learned that the hard way), and has sharp senses that alert him if someone is nothing but trouble. He hates being watched (cough Rook cough), but he knows the difference when he’s watched out of admiration vs out of spite or the like.

Overall, he’s a misunderstood giant.

popping back in for a couple seconds, because I am obsessed with these two throwaway characters from the last new year's bit. I need to know more about this fancy overdramatic theater kid and IT nerdling's more-likely-than-you'd-think friendship.

(brb, building an entire mental headcanon around these random characters who will literally never appear again. they have a whole sitcom together...in my heart.)

Asking specifically bc of Malleus cause I can't tell anymore if he has any more new cards bc HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A 100 DISNEY ANIVERSARY CARD IN THE WIKI I USE 😭

Like compared to everyone else in Disanomia, he has 12 cards (in the wiki I use) and then Lilia has 17 cards 💀

Cause I think Malleus has a Bean's Day card as well, but that could just be a fanmade one, I don't have JP twst nor ENG twst anymore so I can't confirm it myself urhghrhevw 🫠

Malleus doesn't have a Beans Day card, so that would've been fanmade! and the 100 anniversary cards are actually the new round of birthday cards, so most of the characters don't have 'em yet -- Malleus should be getting his in a couple of days, when his birthday event starts! oh god my keeeeeys

I think the wiki.gg stays pretty up to date? it looks to me like they have everything that's currently up through JP, at least. :O I did go through and do a quick count just because I couldn't believe Malleus only had 12 cards, but. he really does have the least...defeated only by Silver with 13...astonishing. we need his gargoyle club wear immediately.

I know you already gave ace a Pokémon, but I would like to say that he would absolutely also have a nickit, as he is basically human nickit just without eye liner

I did think about giving him a Nickit, but I wanted everyone to have unique ones, and. well. there is another character who fits Nickit even more.

Ace WOULD also have a Nickit on his team though! I also really liked someone's suggestion of Zorua for him (I think it would be like...a very sarcastic Zorua though) (actually that's amazing, hold on). he gets all the sneaky pokemon. although I kinda want to give him a Pidgey or something, because 1) wind magic and 2) Ace is the closest thing NRC has to a normal person, he should have the most painfully normal pokemon there is.

(I did really want to save Nickit to steal wallets for Fellow though)

i feel like idia might have a rotom

ooh and if I may expand on this: Idia HAD a Rotom, and then he built himself a brother around it. Rotom (Ortho form).

I'm counting Rotom as Ortho's pokemon, so I'm also giving Idia a Porygon-Z (shiny, because ~color coordinating~) and a very lonely Minun.

Fragaria Memories is the Sanrio one! I think it's mostly voice dramas + image songs, although I've been bad about keeping up at it (Japanese audio is a lot harder for me than text) so I'm not sure if there's anything else out for it!

I remember the premise being that all the guys are knights summoned to protect their respective Sanrio characters, which is definitely the cutest one yet. and makes me think of that one Neko Zamurai screenshot?

are those poppies that Silver is holding in your latest art? I was wondering if you drew them with any special meaning in mind?

yep! :D I kind of just associate poppies with Silver; insomuch as flower language is consistent (which isn't very, but oh well), poppies are usually for sleep, remembrance, and sacrifice. which I think all fit him pretty well!

(also I keep thinking of that one scene from Wizard of Oz, where they fall asleep in the poppy field)

couple more of the pokemon crossover! Mightyena for Ruggie (someone suggested a shiny because of the colors, which I did originally do...but I ended up liking the look of the darker colors with him better? all the browns were like...TOO much somehow) and Rockruff + Maractus for Jack (ultimately went with Maractus over Cacnea because I feel like it's a more decorative plant-type cactus, but I also kind of want Jack to just have a very round pokemon. the decisions -- the decisions are just too hard sometimes 😭)

What do we think, will we get Briar Valley Event somewhere in the future? And WILL WE SEE PRESENT PEEPAW ZIGVOLT? I wonder what Sebek meant that he looks older and I really wanna see Lilia and his relationship after retirement. What do you think?

god I hope so, I desperately want to see Briar Valley and whatever family member they throw at us. and if it's Baul I hope he's the exact same sprite but with, like, a mustache crudely pasted on. that's how he looks in my head and in my heart.

my entire KINGDOM to see one or both of Sebek's parents though, they are the best characters in all of Twst and they haven't shown up even once. 😭 though I think I might prefer his dad, because 1) show me the noodley dentistman, and 2) Mrs. Z is such a mythical figure in my mind at this point that reality could never compare (w-what if she gets a canon design and she isn't a hundred feet tall and could crack the earth by flexing her thighs, how could I go on) (jk jk she's so great that I would love her no matter what) (but also...)
