Sorry for the odd question but when you divine for results of baneful spell work do you want a negative card or would you want something positive? I can't really decide what would be better because positive could = you get good results or the spell didn't work because the outcome is happy? And negative could be = intended results or everything went to shit? Idk do you get what I mean?
No, this is a great question! And you've given me an excuse to talk about my favorite thing in tarot, which is deriving answers from sources other than card meanings!
In all cases of troubleshooting vagueness, try to discover the stumbling block. You've already done this - it's hard to determine the portent of the card because we don't know who the card is referring to.
The problem here isn't interpreting the card, per se; the problem is the framework within which the card is placed. "Outcome" is a broken bridge of meaning because we don't know if it's leading us to our island, or our target's island. You've recognized that one bridge can't carry you to both places, so you're trying to figure out which island you're walking to.
The solution isn't to interpret the card harder, but rather to design new questions or spreads that have better frameworks to organize the information you seek.
Reading tarot isn't just the interpretation or memorization of a card, but also includes developing meta-structures to help frame and interpret the cards.
Those 'meta-structures' are the skills of learning how to phrase questions, how to build and modify spreads, and how to think about the flow of information itself so that you can build bridges from desired goal ("I want to know the outcome of this hex") to obtainable results ("I will clearly define that the outcome refers to the target and not to myself.")
As with many things in witchcraft, the solution in tarot is often to know exactly where you'd like to go.
So, to answer your question! (Finally, lol)
If I was trying to read on the spell's outcome for the target, I'd probably want to see a negative or dreary card; if I was reading on the spell's outcome for me, I'd like to see a very positive or triumphant card.
Troubleshooting ideas for when the portent of the card is unknown because it's not clear who the subject is:
Create new spreads that differentiates between you and the subject.
Use the question to clarify whom the card is referring to.
Anchor intent by using signifiers to demonstrate whom the subject is.

Take Your Medicine, an original spread crafted by blushing-beldam
a simple three-card spread to provide guidance and clarity
The Bottle- All bottles come with warning labels: Do not operate heavy machinery; Do not mix with alcohol; Do not exceed more than four pills in any 24-hour period. This is your warning label. What should you be wary of?
The Spoon- In the disabled community, spoons refer to energy. Something to give you that boost when you feel most weary– a gift! What drives you right now?
The Dosage- Whether we want to take it or not, we all need medicine at some point. Sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet. What advice do you need to hear?
author’s note: cards positioned horizontally may be read as either upright, reversed, or both depending on card drawn and positioning within spread.
feel free to use this spread for self-discovery or as practice with friends and family, but please refrain from monetizing this spread.
I would love to hear your stories about working with this particular spread. You are welcome to tag me in posts, message me, or send me an email.
The cards featured are the backs of Tarot of Pagan Cats created by Lola Airaghi and Magdelina Messina ( © Lo Scarabeo, 2010)

Witch things to add in your room, poor person edition
Fuck it Most of witchcraft people tell you to buy shit. So here's some stuff u can do for free
grab some sticks from the ground, bind them together in a shape you like, add intent (usually protection), hang it up
make a flower crown, add protection intent, dry it out, hang it up. protection spell and real ward. regularly recharge intent.
dry plants, set warding intent, hang them up.
crushed eggshells on your window sill to prevent bad energy.
wear a bandana or veil somewhere on your body, sometimes i use mine as belts, to protect from bad vibes.
paint your nails in the color meaning you want. mine are pink for self attraction rn
when you light up a candle always ask if theres a spirit or entity there, pyromancy skills can be learned through google, tumblr, and tiktok.
Regularly clean and rearrange your altar if you can't practice everyday, this keeos the space clean and shows entities around that even if ur not active, you're still a witch
A cup of water can be an offering to anyone, imagine being an entity and you can't have water at all for centuries??
If you have glasses, draw a sigil on them while you clean them (i usually wash mine with soap and water to make it extra clean ((and dry with paper towels)))
Give your wall art jobs. Sure they can be decorative, or they can be extra eyes to watch you while you sleep to make sure no one messes with you. (Ive had so much wall art fall in the middle of the night and turns out smth was trying to get in my room...)
If you have black-out/thick curtains, let the sun in!!! I keep them tied during the day so i can use natural light and ease up my electricity bill
Change ur bedsheets semi regularly, it doesn't need to be every week, but keep in mind bedbugs and other entities can get trapped there... or even try to get there to make your sleep unrestful.
If your room is a bio-hazard, at least make pathways so you can walk without injuring yourself.
Thats all i have for now <3 blessed be and fuck capitalism

You ever think supernatural creatures that consider humans potential prey have that "cat chases a bear up a tree"-thing? Like how bears, being an apex predator, have no concept of something that's sufficiently prey-sized deciding to attack instead of fleeing, and cats have no awareness of the fact that they can die. So every once in a while a cat and a bear come face to face in the wild for the first time. A bear doesn't understand what this creature is that isn't trying to flee, and starts sniffing. A cat doesn't understand what this creature is and decides to slap it. Utterly baffled, the bear decides it's best to get out of here. The cat starts chasing because obviously anything that flees is prey.
Imagine having an Entity in your home that eats creatures like you, but has never caught a human before. It doesn't understand why this prey isn't trying to escape, the human is clearly unnerved by sensing A Presence but still keeps stubbornly sitting on the couch watching TV. The Entity moves a piece of furniture, making an eerie creaking noise, planning to raise terror in its prey as a way of playing with its food. But instead of even turning to look towards the source of the sound, the human just yells into the empty house:
"WHATEVER THE FUCK JUST MADE THAT NOISE HAD BETTER FUCK OFF, OR START PAYING RENT."
The Entiry freezes in place, and decides that whatever is going on, it's not worth the risk to find out. Better leave while it still can.

Fun witchy things to spice up your school/uni/college year
School/uni starts in late Jan/late Feb here in Australia so leave me alone if you're already in the middle of your school year lol /hl. These are just a few things I did when I was in HS and intend to do now that I'm going to university next year.
Enchant your water bottle with cleansing/purifying energy. The water will cleanse your energy this way. I do this to help me chill the fuck out. I do not do well with academics and the last thing I need is to pick up other people's stress.
Draw sigils for academic success in the back of your notebooks and planners.
Try binding your hair or veiling this school year! It doesn't have to be for religious reasons, it can just be to protect your energy.
Colour code your books or folders to what you need from each subject and set the intention accordingly! For example, red for math because you need confidence and strength or green for science because you need some extra luck in that subject.
Do you remember the erasers with yes and no written on them? Yeah! Make one of those and flip it for on the fly divination! It actually works if you put enough intention into it and it's a fun way to pass time.
Use colour magick in your outfits and shoes/shoe laces! This is a lot of effort so I've rarely do it but I've heard a lot of good things from people who regularly do. Just be careful that you don't accidentally send a nasty lace code message with your docks (or other boots) and shoe laces.
More colour magick but get coloured pens that correspond with your wanted intention! The ink could be coloured or just the outside, it's up to you.
If you pack your own lunch try your hand at some kitchen magick this year! Deli meats, bread, butter, pasta, tofu, etc all have their own uses and meanings. You can do some amazing stuff with food! I really recommend you try it at least once :)
Set your computer's folders names to affirmations or intentions! "I have incredible grades" "I respect my physical and mental needs" "I have the perfect work/school/life balance" are all examples.
This is less about school/uni/college but enchant any jewellery you wear with protection or dedicate it to a deity!
Again, not super school related but do a glamour spell with your skin care and/or make up. It just puts me in a good mood and sets the tone for the day.
I hope you enjoyed! As always, suggestions and tips are more than welcome :)

Goddess Studies: Nimue
Tumblr media
The Celtic Goddess Nimue, sometimes called Nineve, Vivien, and Niniane, is perhaps known more for her role as the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian Legend. She is often depicted as an evil or negative figure in Arthurian Legend, and she certainly plays a dual role. On a positive note, she is the lady who gave King Arthur the sword Excalibur, which was returned to her lake upon his death. In this myth, Myrddin brings the young king to the Lake, where Nimue rises from the waters to bestow the sword upon him and name him the true king. Negative stories tell us that she was once the scribe to Myrddin, who taught her magick in return for her services, seeing her as a gifted young sorceress. Soon, her powers became greater than Myrddin’s, and she imprisoned him in a great glass tower. After imprisoning him, Nimue takes his place as the king’s advisor. Legends say that Myrddin will eventually break his bonds and return to his rightful place. Other Arthurian tales tell us that she was also the adoptive mother of Lancelot, the famous knight of the round table. In this legend, it is said the Goddess left her lake to visit Gaul, where she adopted Lancelot. She brought him back to the lake to raise him, warning him of the dangers of love and the ways of chivalry. When he was 16, she gifted him with magickal armor and sent him to serve in the court of Arthur. Beyond that, Nimue is a famed priestess of the mythical land Avalon. Outside of Arthurian Legend, Nimue is depicted as a lesser goddess ruling over moods and emotions. She is also often seen as a lake faerie known as a Gwragedd Nnnwn. Historians believe she originated with the Greek water nymph Mneme, who gifted weapons to the famous hero Perseus. Other possible connections are to the Roman Goddess Diana or the Welsh Goddess Rhiannon. Her main role was as a representation of the transition from the world of the living to the world of death. This is represented in her role of guiding Arthur to the mythical land of Avalon after his death. Along with these duties, she was also seen as a Goddess of wisdom and knowledge. Nimue’s domain was not just the waters of the Lake, but also the waters of the Celtic lands. She was a protector of the waters, sister to the Celtic God Manannan mac Lir God of the Ocean. Her sister was the Celtic Goddess Brigid, Goddess of the Hearth and of Fire. One famous myth tells of Nimue’s revenge on a group of pillaging raiders. One day, a group of raiders came to the shores of the Lady’s domain, wreaking havoc and destroying the homes of the Celtic peoples. Nimue saw the destruction and pleaded with her brother Manannan to destroy the ships of the raiders. Her lake overtook and flooded the land, and she changed her people to mermaids so that they may survive the ensuing flood. These mermaids were blessed by her brother Manannan to be forever protected within the ocean’s waves.

I really need to do more studying and write an essay on how Americanism is a genuine folk religion which reveres capital and the vague concept of “the free market” as a god of providence to be pleased in order to lead a prosperous life, also that the founding fathers are prophetic, perhaps even messianic figures who basically gave birth to this god through the revolutionary war, and that the vast majority of conservative Christians in America revere capital more than the god they claim to serve in an ironic sort of golden calf situation.
