Минутка ностальгии) Когда-то я училась в школе) Правда-правда! И у меня была подруга с 9 по 11 класс, тоже слегка повернутая на хищах, чужих и так далее. Думаю, если бы в то время был фикбук, мы бы писли фанфики (слава богу, этого не случилось)))

Так вот, мы все время друг другу что-то рисовали в блокнотиках, в том числе и хищей. И у меня эти блокнотики чудом сохранились! На первом рисунке - ранний хищ от Гвати, дальше - творения моей подруги))) особенно люблю "хищесолнышко"))) А ещё, обратите внимание, человек предвосхитил появление предалиена (последнее фото)! 2002 год на минуточку)

С подругой мы после школы не общались. Года два назад пыталась ее найти, но не обнаружила ни в одной соцсети...

Moth pin/brooch

A couple people asked me how I made this so I figured I’d just make a little post explaining it.

Before I start I WOULD like to disclose that the pin I’ve made is hugely inspired by the one by TheClosetHistorian (on YouTube) and you should definitely consider checking out her video if you want more instruction or like that format better.

I made a little graphic showing some work in progress pictures as well as materials and techniques used in the different areas. I will type it out in more detail below.

1. First draw out the shape I want on a piece of felt. Add some guide lines for different parts of the design. I layered mine double because it’s quite thin. I used an (unused) dish rag, so don’t worry about the quality of your felt.

2. I start off embroidering the “neck area”, using turkey stitch. Starting from the bottom up, I use a dark turquoise floss, then later mix in a lighter shade.

3. Next I sew on the beads. String on 5-6 at a time and then go back and tack them down with small stitches. I don’t know much about embroidering with beads, so this may not be the “correct” way to do it. The types of beads I used are size 11/0 seed beads and delica beads, as well as bugle beads and Miyuki’s Tila and half Tila.

4. Sequins. I recommend using flat ones instead of the ones I used. I work from the bottom up, trying to get a nice silhouette with the bottom layer, as this will form the outline of the finished piece.

5. After finishing with the sequins, I do some more turkey stitch around the top, so it covers up that edge where you can see the tread. Optionally you can do the whole thing with sequins if you want.

6. Next thing I did was some French knots, just above the turkey stitch in a contrasting color. This is just for some textural variety and decoration, as little “spots”. You can really add them wherever you’d like, or not at all.

7. Then I just finished embroidering the thing. Don’t know what the stitch is called, it’s just making little stitches beside each other until it’s all filled in. I did a little gradient because I felt like it.

For the legs and antennae, i also just winged it. The legs and antennae got layered double in wire and twisted before adding the beads and sequins, then I just used the very tip of my round plier to curl the remaining ends into round little “feet”. Then stitch them securely to the backside of the pin.

I finish it off with another layer of felt, this one painted with a fabric paint I happened to have lying around, both for some extra strength and to match the color scheme better. I cut little slits to fit in a regular safety pin (I recommend get a proper pin/brooch needle) and stitched the backing on with very dense stitches. Pictures below.

Extra suggestions:

If you don’t have sequins, or want a different look, you can embroider the whole thing. Alternatively you can fill the whole space with sequins if you don’t want to embroider it all. You can of course do any shape, size and color scheme, whether based on real life moths or just fantasy!

Lastly I just want to thank everyone for the love you’ve shown for this silly little bug 💖 it means the world to me, and it has really inspired me. I wish I could sell these, but I don’t think that’s really an option for me right now. I’ll let you know if that changes in the future, but until then, I hope those of you who have the interest to make your own find this helpful.

Attention fans of the Bad Batch and Jurassic World! New story idea!

Considering the similarities between these two groups, a story line has sprung forth and I would like to share it. And get some help to anyone interested in the idea.

Essentially before, during and post the bad batch show. The raptor squad ( yes I’m keeping that name) are a team of highly trained hybrids for animal rescue and rehabilitation. The animals in question are the dinosaurs created by Ingen (similar to the clones but the dinosaurs were created for entertainment)

After the events of the first JW movie but in space. The dinosaurs have escaped or have been taken from the now destroyed park. They are wondering the galaxy or are some rich imperial’s pet. The girls are more humanoid in this. Appearance wise they are human but with raptor traits. Sharp elongated claws/ fingers, tails, serrated curved teeth, and yellow eyes. Their pupils change depending on extreme mood shift (or going feral as they call it) and they’re all around 7 ft tall not counting Charlie. She’s around Hunter’s height.

And as some of you might have guessed I will be shipping them.

Hunter x Blue: they’re both the leaders of their respective parties, they have a mutual interest and respect for each other.

Wrecker x Delta: the first ship that came to mind honestly. Both are headstrong and reckless. Delta is more aggressive than her sisters. She’d see a challenge in Wrecker in the best way possible. Wrecker gives me Himbo energy and I think that’s perfect.

Crosshair x Charlie: this one starts more one sided like a school crush. She’s Cross’ opposite in every way. She loves the tall, dark, and broody boy. All while Cross is oblivious to it.

Echo x Echo: (same name hah) this one was more funny than anything else. Both have something about themselves that makes them insecure/ different from the others. Tbb Echo is more mechanical and JW Echo has a scar on her mouth. (She hides it via face mask) both are interested in the other’s differences and what caused them. Still deciding if theirs will be romantic or platonic.

Of course Omega is still in this and so is Tech (he lives) Phee is with him so no Dino romance for him. But he does get to absorb all the new knowledge on dinosaurs. And the girls love a nerd who knows his stuff. Claire and Owen are here too, I made Claire a twi'lek (unless someone has a different idea) Owen is human as he’s the girls dad both as a mentor and they have his genetic material.

Line of Action is super great for warmups and also getting the hang of anatomy and poses

dont scrap old art youll regret it in like 3 years

reference as much as you need to, its a great tool and no ones gonna chastise you for it except for tiktokers but their opinions dont matter

theres always gonna be someone who likes what you do no matter what your opinion on yourself is

gradient maps are sexy

if someone complains about something you drew. draw it again. they fume like an angry 12 year old its so funny

drawing once a day is good practice, even just little doodles can help a bunch with muscle memory

forcing yourself to draw when you dont wanna doesnt work like 99% of the time

Its so wild to me people call others who are against that stuff "antis" like grow up people are rightfully disgusted and want to keep a distance from people who make that junk, it's so weird how oppressed those type of people act or how overly defensive some of them get if anyone shares an opinion 《 like not even directly talking to them 》 of being grossed out at something gross, they always act philosophical and go on and on how morals is a social contract it's such an eyeroll

I think both sides should ignore each other as long as they don't hurt/harass anyone or support this kind of content. (By saying support I mean when people victimize these actions in real life.)

Like I've said, I have nothing against this , as long as it's not sexualized and justified, but written with lots of emotions and showing that it's not anything good or positive, it's fine. Bad things happen in our life and we shouldn't censor it. This kind of thing helps a lot of people deal with trauma, for example. And it's not entirely healthy, but these people feel like they're not alone. Like they're included and what happened to them, matters.

I do feel grossed out and I think it's intended to provoke such a reaction. Like a shock.

People should read WELL WRITTEN books with these kinds of stories to understand that these things are not okay.

Also, (I'll change the subject a bit (sorry))

Porn shouldn't exist, or at least not on this scale. Just go to any site and you're shown a theme of forcing another person into sex. There is NEVER the word rape under these videos. People censor it. They treat it as a normal thing. We know it's just acting, but it's always sexualized and this is the biggest reason why sexual assaults occur. That is the reason why there are so many horrible cases of sexual violence. Young people become addicted, they treat their partners like toys, they have no respect for others or for themselves, they don't even know anatomy of their lover's body, they don't use contraception, they become aggressive... This is all caused by porn and lack of education.

You could say these cases happened before porn was invented... As I said, lack of education. People don't educate their kids because they're embarrassed. Sex was always portrayed as some kind of "taboo topic". They grew up with this mindset and are scared to talk about it. Sometimes it is also caused by their religion. Children should be taught that when they say no, they mean no. And shouldn't feel bad for being assertive.

In short,

Such themes should cause disgust, sadness and even anger. And not everyone wants/has to see it. REMEMBER Your feelings and boundaries are important. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

We should prevent such situations from happening in real life.

1. By educating young people.

2. Portraying these themes correctly.

3. Instead of mocking the victims, listening to their stories.

4. Reminding everyone that love is NEVER about force.

5. Offering help/support. It has happened more than once that someone you know was in a toxic relationship.

6. Talking about your feelings

7. Understanding people's boundaries...

Really there is a lot we can do.

Just so you know, I don't intend to change the world with this post. I'm just sharing my thoughts. You don't need to agree with it.

My conservative mom found my TikTok account. I posted furry content and had my pronouns in my bio. I do cover my face on that account so maybe she didn’t know it was me 🤞 but I’m glad I don’t have any alterhuman posts there cause that would be so much worse. I do follow some alterhuman creators though. I should have blocked her to begin with. I have no idea how she found the account but she’s blocked now. I hope she just doesn’t bring it up. I think maybe she sometimes does look at my hidden accounts and just doesn’t mention them but I don’t know. I hate it so much. I hate hiding myself just so she won’t make fun of me like she does about everything.
