Duke Crocker has spoiled me for the jerk with a heart of gold trope. Now whenever I see one, I tend to go, “It’s nice that you’re trying, honey, but you’re no Duke Crocker.”

Because they may be brave, or charming, or messed up, or loyal, or cunning, or funny, or kind, or desperately fighting their own fate, but he hit the bullseye on all of those and then some, and it’s tough for anyone else to even come close.

312: Reunion

Of course the whole Nathan’s tattoo discussion always brings up an interesting thought for me- did Nathan just make a whole self-fulfilling-prophecy thing the moment he got the tattoo? Could it have been someone else who would have been there and killed Duke that day, but BECAUSE Nathan got the tattoo and had that thought at least in the back of his mind, he ended up changing what happened and it ended up being him?  Kind of like Voldemort in Harry Potter- the boy who lived COULD have been Neville but Voldemort essentially made harry the chosen one by trying to kill him rather than going after Neville.  Nathan essentially made it where no one else other than himself could have been there and been the one to kill Duke. 

Revisiting the whole ‘did Nathan change his shirt after realising Audrey’s missing?’ thing, both shirts *are* blue, so now I’m leaning towards: he just took off the tie and jacket, and it’s the same shirt.

He definitely does not have time or the brain space frankly, to go get tattooed between those moments.

Its the same shirt. but yeah... the whole tattoo thing, it HAD to have been done earlier before Audrey went missing.  A tattoo like that would have taken hours to get done and when we see it yes its still red and newish looking but definitely not freshly done.  How long had it been at this point since they learned about the prediction of how Duke died?  I subscribe to the idea he got it done shortly after that for the reason he gave Duke- if he was going to die by the hand of someone with the tattoo he wanted to be on the approved list.  But it was done BEFOR Audrey went missing.
