My last week internship at RBPI
(may 14 2025)
Before I left, I helped them with tasks I used to do. One of these was helping to replace invoices in five bundles of receipts so that their workload would be reduced in the following days.
On another day, I filed individual client folders. The funniest thing was that when I was new to the company, the bank's VP gave me a task when she visited the Sorsogon branch – to clean her table. But the following days, the Sorsogon branch manager said I didn't need to do it anymore, that they would handle it, so I didn't worry about it anymore. For four months, I didn't clean it until last month, May, when I had one week of duty.
I thought the VP wouldn't return, but during my last two days at the company, the VP visited and remembered the assignment she gave me😅! Hahaha. So, I told her I had forgotten about it, hahaha, and she joked that my grade depended on the table, hahaha. So the next day, I cleaned the table and messaged her on Viber.
At least I accomplished it, hahaha.😆
#550 hours ✅👍

The Last week of April - internship
This week involved rotating work with colleagues. I helped them with daily transactions by assisting with scanning files as part of my routine. On another day, I helped our teller count money, as everyone was very busy with long queues of customers. I counted the money from client deposits and assisted clients in filling out withdrawal and deposit slips during transactions.
Another part of my daily routine was helping the new bookkeeper organize payment orders for the day's completed transactions. This allowed her to do postings every afternoon before the end of the day. This rotation of work helped me become familiar with my tasks, so my supervisors did not need to teach me every time they gave me paperwork or other work related to the company's systems. I was able to work independently and complete tasks without their assistance. This made work more efficient because they didn't have to constantly guide me on daily tasks. It also helped me make good decisions for the next steps and take initiative in my work.
Bye April, Hello May.
Ps. I dont have any photos taken this week

My Internship experience this week
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This week has been a busy day because of lots of activity at the office. My daily routine involves scanning files, which is a crucial part of our operations. I've also been busy preparing transmittal letters for sending notarized files to the VP of RBPI at the Pilar Branch.
On top of that, I've been tasked with checking client payment dues in the system and calculating their principal balances, as instructed by the manager. This involves carefully reviewing each client's account and ensuring their payments are accurately reflected in the system.
The following days have been equally busy, as I've been assisting the loan specialist by balancing the total payments on barangay loans. This requires meticulous attention to detail and a good understanding of our loan procedures.
This week has been particularly challenging due to the fact that everyone, including the manager, is new to the team. This means there's a lot of learning and adapting happening, and I've often found myself assisting with various tasks, even simple ones, such as helping with loan documents for each client.
Despite the increased workload, I've been happy to help my colleagues adjust and learn the ropes. Throughout the week, I've focused on assisting everyone in the office, ensuring a smooth transition for the new team members. On my last day I ensuring that I will continued to provide assistance and support to my colleagues, ensuring that everything ran smoothly before I left.
# A hundred of hours done✅👍 last 2 weeks only♥️

Week 12 of my Internship
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This week, my workload was relatively light. One significant task involved assisting the loan specialist in preparing client loan applications. This included meticulously reviewing applications against the pre-approval checklist to ensure all necessary requirements were met and that all client information was complete and accurate as per the submitted documents.
In the following days, I continued scanning client letters and files, focusing particularly on new accounts, encompassing both loan and savings applications. This multifaceted workload helped me hone my prioritization skills, enabling me to efficiently manage my time and ensure timely completion of all tasks. The experience reinforced the importance of careful attention to detail in processing client information and the effectiveness of proactive task management in maintaining productivity even with a varied workload.
The combination of meticulous review and efficient scanning allowed me to contribute effectively to the smooth operation of the loan processing and client onboarding processes. This careful approach ensured accuracy and efficiency, contributing to a positive client experience and a streamlined workflow.

Week 13
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This week, which included the Holy Week holiday, consisted of only three working days. My primary tasks involved scanning loan documents for our clients and providing my usual front desk assistance.
Additionally, the Branch Manager of RBPI requested my help in completing registry return receipts for outgoing documents. This week's workload was typical for me, allowing me to complete all assigned tasks. Beyond my regular duties, I enjoyed casual conversations with my colleagues, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. The reduced work schedule due to the Holy Week observance allowed for a manageable workload and a pleasant work atmosphere. The collaborative spirit among my colleagues contributed to a productive and enjoyable week. Despite the shorter work week, I successfully managed all my responsibilities, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining a positive rapport with my team. This balance of work and social interaction made for a fulfilling and productive week.
have a blessed holy weekend ❤️

Week 11 of my Internship
This week has been a relatively ordinary one, not as hectic as last week. My main task this week has been scanning client files for loans, a task I've been doing since my internship began. In the following days, Manager Sir Noel assigned me to print out fliers for their marketing campaigns within the Sorsogon province. I also handle filing the proof sheets at the end of each month, ensuring all transactions for the month are complete. This week has been a rotation of these tasks.
I've realized that working isn't easy; it requires patience and effort. But what makes me smile is the realization that even when I feel sleepy during work hours, I have to fight it. It's not like before when I could rest if I felt tired. Now, it's a constant struggle, and I have to push through, as I have work to finish. I need to prioritize getting enough sleep and avoid staying up late because I can't sustain that lifestyle.
Through this internship, I've learned a lot, not just about work but also about life itself. It's different from what I imagined before. Life is tough, but we have to keep fighting. You can rest, but never give up.

Week 10 of internship
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As always before going to work I go to church since it is near at Rural Bank. This week has been focused on new learnings and multitasking in my role. I have been checking the requirements for loan releases through the pre-approval checklist and assisting the loan specialist. I started learning how to validate the requirements one by one, reviewing all the documents submitted to the bank. I also made a list of incorrectly filled-out forms and missing permits and other requirements.
During my review, I encountered numerous errors and omissions, so I reached out to the account officer responsible for those clients to address the issues. Additionally, I noticed errors in the clients' credit scoring, which prompted the account officer to create a new credit score to correct the inaccuracies in the clients' details.
I also assisted with preparing Official Receipts (OR), including checking and documenting OR numbers and preparing them for the recipients. Furthermore, I took on responsibilities in the back office by printing files after receiving them via Viber. Our workload increased this week because the printer in the front office was malfunctioning, so I helped with printing to reduce the workload for the team.
This week the associate Dean of CBE ma'am Janela also visited me at Rural Bank of Pilar(sorsogon)Inc.
ps. i don't have any photos taken since I had so many work to do.

Week 9 of internship
This week has been a new learning experience as an intern at the Rural Bank of Pilar.
Tumblr media
I was tasked by our Branch Manager to create transmittal letters. He provided me with the necessary information to include in the letters, and I was required to submit a hard copy after completion. And take responsibility for the proof sheets for the month of February.
In addition, the Loan Specialist assigned me a new task to gain experience in writing official receipts (OR) for penalties, savings, interest, and principal payments.
The following day, I printed fliers that were also assigned by the Manager. Simultaneously, I scanned files for loan releases that were pending approval. I scanned the files and sent them to the Manager via Viber for review. I also scanned letters for clients reminding them of their amortization payments.

I've enjoyed working with the people at the Rural Bank and have had a positive experience during my internship.

week 8 - A week full of learning
This week, on Monday, we had a branch meeting conducted by the manager, Sir Noel Solano. This started right after banking hours, around 3 to 5 pm. As an intern, I was given the task by the manager to take notes on the topics discussed during the meeting.
After that day, my task was to rewrite my notes since I was going to create the minutes of the meeting, which was my task for the next day. Aside from that, the loan specialist ma'am Joy taught me about the other information on what the loan specialist did in their daily transactions. This provided me with a wide range of learnings, and I took notes on my notepad every time they taught me. I also did scanning files for letters and loans.
The next day, I got sick, which was the reason why I couldn't go to work because I wasn't feeling well and needed to rest. I was absent for almost 2 and a half days, but I know I can make up for it and continue to help them when I got recovered.
ps. I don't have any photos and videos taken this week.

WEEK 7 - MEETING NEW PEOPLE AND BUILDING WORK RELATIONSHIP
Tumblr media
This week was one of welcomes and new beginnings. I met the newly hired RBPI manager, Sir Noel, on Monday. It was also the first day for our new teller, Ma'am Sheena, who is filling in for Ma'am Lala, who is on maternity leave.
My tasks this week included checking loan applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required documents were submitted. The following days involved scanning submitted loan application requirements before processing, as well as scanning active client files. My daily goal was to complete at least ten client files. I divided this task—five files in the morning and five in the afternoon—to manage my time effectively. However, this wasn't always possible. Sometimes I had to prioritize other tasks, such as messaging clients about past-due loans or responding to their inquiries.
This experience underscores the importance of effective time management. It's not always about focusing on a single task; it's about developing strategies to complete all your work. This week was very productive.

My week 6 internship
I met the new teller, Ma'am Sheena, from Bacon, who has been substituting for Ma'am Lala since she went on maternity leave. I'll be observing as Ma'am Lala trains Ma'am Sheena on the responsibilities she needs to handle. I'm taking notes on this matter as additional information.
Aside from that, this week I've been working on my daily tasks since I haven't finished my filing yet. I've also been scanning files for loan releases and hands-on computer system.
In the next few days, I'll be scanning files while waiting for the petty cash to be replenished so we can purchase the folders we need. On the same day, I'll be messaging clients who haven't come to the office for the moratorium, even after receiving multiple letters. These include the first warning letter, the first demand letter, and finally, the final demand letter.
The next day, I had a conversation with the specialist bookkeeper about loan requirements. One of the client loan requirements is the MDAS and NFIS results, which are checked through the system for their loan history. The NFIS includes negative results for any outstanding loans, while the MDAS shows the history of their loans in other banks, indicating if they have existing loans in the banking industry. This information helps determine if a client is eligible for a loan and serves as a requirement for them to show their ability to avail a loan from the bank.
On Friday, the last day of the week, I finally finished filing the existing loans and will wait to see what my next tasks are next week.

" A productive week of internship, but also a little sad "
This week's internship provided a valuable learning experience, encompassing a range of tasks that challenged my skills and broadened my understanding of office procedures. My responsibilities extended beyond routine tasks, offering opportunities for problem-solving, communication, and professional development. This reflection will detail these experiences, highlighting the key skills and insights gained.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This week, my internship involved scanning files for payment moratorium letters. I also had a conversation with a teller after noticing a client's file marked deceased. My curiosity about loan responsibilities in such cases led to a discussion revealing that the insurance company handles these situations. This unexpected conversation provided valuable additional information.
After scanning, I focused on filing, a time-consuming task. However, with the teller absent and a computer available, I assisted Ma'am Maria by contacting clients who hadn't responded to previous payment moratorium letters. Using the computer, I located their contact information and sent messages, before returning to filing. I prioritized urgent tasks as they arose, demonstrating my ability to manage time and multitask effectively. This approach gave me a broader overview of daily operations and helped ensure smooth workflow. I also observed the importance of positive work relationships and workplace professionalism. I noticed two colleagues who were relatives addressing each other formally as "Ma'am" and "Sir," highlighting the professional conduct expected in the workplace, even when personal relationships exist. This experience reinforced the need to separate personal relationships from professional behavior.
Additionally, I encoded names for my filing tasks, handled withdrawal and deposit slips, and used the system to print necessary documents. This week's diverse tasks significantly enhanced my knowledge and provided practical experience valuable for my future career.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On Friday, after work, we celebrated with Ma'am Teresa, the former RBPI manager, to wish her well before her departure. I felt sad because she had been very kind and welcoming to me during my internship, and we often chatted together. Even though I'd only been there a month, I'd grown close to her, so her leaving made me feel sad. I said goodbye, telling her,
"See you, when I see you, Ma'am🫶."

A week to remember in February internship
This week marks my fourth week of internship. I haven't finished the filing task yet, as I mentioned before, there's just a lot of paperwork. However, I was given a new task to integrate into my work: scanning pre-dormant letters for clients. These pre-dormant letters act as reminders to clients that they cannot make withdrawals from their accounts until they are reactivated, even if they have a balance. This is because their accounts are about to become dormant. The company sends these letters personally to inform clients that they need to reactivate their accounts to continue banking transactions.
This task provided me with additional insight into the processes of this type of bank. After completing it, I returned to filing, as I had new documents to process and still had one box of files left to finish.
The next day, I had a great conversation with the team about my goals and what I wanted to learn. I expressed my desire to understand the processes and workflow of the banking industry, specifically at RBPI Sorsogon.
To celebrate Valentine's Day, we all wore red tops, following the tradition of the day. Surprisingly, a former male employee came to the office and gave each of us a fresh red rose. It was a lovely gesture, and I was happy to receive it.
This week provided valuable learning experiences and positive team interactions, culminating in a memorable Valentine's Day celebration. I look forward to continued growth at RBPI.
