I just finished reading An Imperfect Situation, and I wanted to come here and let you know how much I enjoyed it and fell in love with it. You write so beautifully. Thank you, truly. I usually reread fics where I find them to be comforting and yours will now definitely be my comfort fic.

I always seem to enjoy the fics where we have Pansy and Harry together. thank you for that as well.

I felt so much pain during the breakup, I hold this Draco dear to my heart that I was upset at Hermione on how she handled the breakup in general.

As well as how she treated Lavender during the time she tried to check up on her. I never want to judge anyone. Please don’t take it the wrong way.

I did have a few questions, I hope you’re able to answer them if you do see this.

1. I really liked Pansy in this fic I really think she was there for Hermione and showed her true friendship. Is there a reason why you chose for Ginny to be the godmother?

2. Did Ginny’s and Draco’s relationship get better?

I see that you started Draco’s pov. I’m sure it will be as beautifully written as Hermiones.

It’s so funny how Pansy and Harry came about - it was completely unplanned, and being a fan of the books, I would’ve NEVER thought to pair them until I got into this fandom. From the beginning I was planning on a Harry/Ginny ending, but I much prefer how it worked out with Ginny having her own, carefree lifestyle she loves and Harry having the family he always wanted.

As for Hermione, I know she was so frustrating in this fic. Even I thought it was too much sometimes, but it is what it is. I almost wish I’d written her differently, but it just felt like such a natural path for where she was at the time that I had to see it through and make her build herself back up. Being mean, judgmental, and unhinged is also so canon to her character that I really had no choice 😅

And to answer your questions:

1: Ginny being godmother was a callback to chapter 3 when Hermione told her she would be her future child’s godmother/honorary aunt. I considered making Pansy godmother as she & Hermione grew so close, but I also wanted to show that Ginny had redeemed herself in adulthood.

2: Yes. Ginny’s relationships with everyone got better once she started focusing on healing herself, but especially with Draco for misjudging him. You’ll see some interactions between them later in his pov that I’m really excited about, particularly post-breakup/pre-makeup.

In my head, adult Ginny visits them often, either at home or wherever they’re traveling. She’s like the fun little sister that enjoys stirring up some harmless trouble, and Draco tolerates (secretly enjoys) it.
