classes: -> Lithosphere Production and Consumption: Mining (50 minutes) My lithosphere and sustainability class today was very productive, but I think that's because it mostly felt like a recap of what I did in my environmental science a-level! We looked at brine, open cast, and underground mining, as well as what happens now that less new deposits are being found as demand increases, which led us to discuss new methods. This included extra terrestrial mining and it's future viability, but was primarily about the seafloor deposits like polymetallic nodules, ferromanganese crusts, as well as seafloor massive sulphides! Moving on from this, we then looked at "green mining" and methods of "sustainably" exploiting minerals in the future.
I did a little work on my summative assessment too! Which I've been worrying about for ages, but now I've made a start it's much less intimidating.

the cruellest thing in the world for someone like me (<- chronic over explainer and enjoyer of talking) is when references, endnotes, footnotes, and captions are all included in a word limit. what am i meant to do now.
