Currency and Farming

While we're all farming FATES for Gerolt (again), it's helpful to remember how to track currency without opening the currency menu, especially to avoid over-capping.

The currency menu is usually a helpful keybind or console menu option away, but please note the little cogwheel icon in the upper right, marked in the image below with a yellow box and arrow.

Opening that menu we get the option to set cycled default currencies of our choice, up to 5 we would like to track.

In the below example, my first slot is for Gil, and my second has a drop down menu opened, here currently selecting Storm Seals.

I also want to draw attention to the instructions at the bottom of the submenu, in the below screenshot boxed in yellow:

The above currency will display on the HUD by default. Right-click on the currency icon to cycle through currencies in your rotation. The order in which they display can be changed via the arrows to the right of each rotation slot.

This means that the little currency tracker on your HUD, usually around your inventory and character pane HUD options, can be cycled to track various currencies without having to open the menu.

In this case in my screenshot here, I set it to show my Bicolor Gem totals while I farmed FATES in Yak'Tel:

If I want to check on my tomestones as well, I just rotate to see what my tomes are at. In this case, because I am using a mouse, I right-click on the icon for the currency (the gem itself) and get to my tomes:

So go forth, farm to your heart's content, but without accidentally over-capping cuz you're not keeping the currency menu open!

I was wrong regarding the relic weapons, because I farmed fates instead of playing Ocult Crescent after I learend after the initial farm of the atams it's spending just tombstones like in EW. 😊

I also made over 12k bi colour gemstones total. I was stugged in Kozama'uka for a around 9 hours total 🫠

Yeah I'm not doing Ocult Crescent, this kind of content doesn't feel rewarding to me. Yet another set of relict weapons i won't own. A bill has been introduced in the US that would make all pornography a federal crime. Owning it. Creating it. Distributing it.

Under this law, fanart of nude characters would be a federal crime.

Under this law, depictions of homosexuality or simply being transgender, would be considered pornography and a federal crime.

This bill is not going to pass.

However, the reason for this bill is to continue to push the "overton window". The reason for this bill is to make banning pornography seem more and more normal to everyone until they can actually do that.

And remember, they consider depictions of gay characters and transgenders characters "pornography" in any context, including platonic.

They have been working on this for a decade now and it has been working.

If you are one of the people in fandom who thinks that "nasty" porn on AO3 should be banned because it's "icky" or "immoral", then this mental scam is working on you.

OKAY TO EXPLAIN AS WELL.

In FFXIV, there's a buh going on where an NPC won't trigger his Mech Operation, (Typically the Spongoi one) and he's located around here.

On brynhildr, we have named the Hyur Charles. Because for 4 hours there were no mech operations due to the fact the other one could not spawn due to this one always being 'About' to spawn. So this prevented any operations from spawning, driving people insane.

So far we've had reports from Siren, Aether and Faerie that were also felled by Charles. If you HAVE gotten Charles bugged, don't worry. Yes it's instance wide. But your next red alert *should* forcefully end it as I believe (don't quote me on this) it forces the process for mech operations to end, therefore skipping Charles and resetting it to the next mech op.

Offshoot Charles lore is:

-The Lalafell with him is Pete (Dubbed so by Aleu Lyehga @ Brynhildr)

Dear Armadine,

I just returned from Gridania, I joined the Bitanist guild on my own choosing. So I spend the last few days foraging around Limsa. Reading about how to attend to your own garden. It sounds like a lot of work, but I quite enjoy it, it also helps with understanding the region better.

I'm also am now aloud to prepare vegetables in the Bismark. I think everybody is sick of me, burning marple syrup. I actually was banned from the stove for a week, being told to use my muscle to grind grain into flour and to crush the rock salt into use able size. I also was asked by the yellow jackets to look into sertain event going on in La Noscea, I meet somebody intressting while doing so. Y'Sholta, from the scions of the 7th dawn. She's investigating how Bahamut awakening is influencing the region. I think there's something more going on but she didn't wanted to share to much.

I'm not sure when I will be in Ul'dah. I actually plan to spend a week or two in the Black Shroud, looking for what eatable plants it has to offer.

I'm sorry you had the need to lie to our mother, I guarantee you I'm very careful always staying on dry ground while fishing. Fish dishes are actually growing on me and I tell you it's the way you prepare them or the sauce you serve with them.

On Noelle just remind her that she needs to finish her studies before she can even think about becoming master astrologigan.
