Sansa finds it difficult to look at Jon’s face, with its weathered lines and cragginess. It is the face of the North and a face that northerners trust; the face of Sansa’s brothers and her father, who had been loved and respected by their tenants as their forefathers had been when they were kings. How can Sansa feel anything but resentment, looking into that face and knowing that all of her years of hard work will never earn her the respect that that profile engenders within seconds?
But she does. It is a small, burning coal of something that must be smothered.

Fancasts From Atop Visenya’s Hill
-> Lena Cecilia Sparrok as Gilly of the Free Folk
She was younger than he'd thought at first. A girl of fifteen or sixteen years, he judged, dark hair plastered across a gaunt face by the falling rain, her bare feet muddy to the ankles.

many people would feel better if they engaged with artists only as far as “i listen to their music” or “i watch their shows and movies” and reblog photos or gifs or whatever like posters they’re putting on their bedroom wall but act like twitter and instagram aren’t a thing—pretend all the information you get about your fave is from J14 magazine like back in the day.

i think having show marg seduce tommen and encourage sansa to sleep with tyrion worked to normalize her situation in KL... they didn't get sansa OR margaery at all
wait i actually think this kinda ties into what i was saying about sansa & ramsay, in that i think d&d saw this less as "sansa is handed over to yet another abusive monster" but more "sansa plays the game of thrones and loses and faces the consequences and grows stronger" and i do think this trickled into her time in king's landing too. like first of all, it's why they cut so much of her scenes - if they show her actively planning with dontos to escape, if they show her charming garlan & leonette even after olenna has purposefuly broken the alliance between them, if they show her just having a conversation with sandor on her own rather than littlefucker whispering in her ear...all of this is sansa being active, pushing at the limits of what she can do, trying to cope with the situation she's been forced into, taking note of allies and false friends and the reactions of the people around her. they didn't like that though! they wanted her to be The Victim and imo they wanted to portray it as "sansa is so silly and stupid and bad at politics but she has to suffer to grow" which is so annoying!! she does learn from what she's experienced but in the books, imo, the books are not setting this up explicitly as like "this is punishment for being naive" because that's dumb and simplistic! But that's how it is in the show!!
and the margaery-tommen stuff, god, first of all, really just shows they don't understand margaery because margaery knows how to seduce without sex, she literally does it in the book!!! but it also just, really changes her dynamic with cersei because the thing is margaery is fucking cersei's underage son and taking advantage of him!! it's a huge change!!!
