Happy Birthday Erya

Random birthday comic for me I guess.

I usually doodle my characters for my birthday but I didn't this year. Also it's Calli's first time not being with me for this special occasion ! So I guess she's coping in her own way.

Lucky for her, Zee is around ! They keep each other company. She's more comfortable with him now, so they tend to talk together often.

They're old OCs I never really got the chance to explore- so I'm doing it now ! .. I'll make a post with basic informations about them whenever I can

Did I told you one of Calli's wardrobes has a portal in it ? No ? Well now you know. It connects her room to the universe her dragon is in right now, but it seems messier than usual.. I wonder why.

And this textbox is not in Calli's color.. How weird.

I started this a while ago and I still only have one page.. OH well-

"Oh um right. I see you're busy. I'll just see myself out then. If you ever want to meet a family of friendly foxes or explore a new Underground feel free to visit Undershrine sometime." Keiko shuffled awkwardly. "Sorry..." she disappeared in a cloud of lights leaving a small fox plush on the dresser.

[I am. So. Sorry. For answering so late- if this is even an answer]

Calli looked back at where Keiko was and relaxed a bit seeing she left, however the girl felt terrible about it.

"ugh.. I messed up didn't I..?" she thought out loud. She promised to herself to try harder next time before looking at the plush. Petting the plush Calli smiled and whispered a "thank you" before going back to other room.

Calli finished to clean the house and the fox plush remained on the dresser with other plushies.

I'm sorry for my lack of activity, agAin.

I'm behind on my homeworks, I have poor time management skills and posting on social media tires me for some reason ??

So no Calli this week again.. But ! I'll answer the asks and make updates during the holydays ! So in about a week- I should be back for a bit-. And I'll finally go look at all the things I missed and talk with some friends fkdjdjsj. I would love to promise more but I have another project I'm working on as well-

"Aww well I'm sure everyone likes you for you, you seem like a real sweetheart. Wait... me? Oh ummm... well," Keiko suddenly looked surprised even behind her fox mask "we hadn't met directly in the strictest of terms. I'm kinda the creator of Undershrine. I love my characters but I wanted to be able to interact with others on my own time to time... I hope you don't mind."

Calli seemed to tense up a bit. “Oh- a creator-.. no- that’s fine- of course some of you are around- I’ll just get used to it I guess-” she quickly replied. “e-erm- I should go back to cleaning- I believe there are still glass pieces around the living room” keeping her broom close to her chest she walked away and started focusing on her task, hoping it would relax her a bit.

(I'm glad to see you out and about! Are you feeling better?)-Keiko

“oh- well- I guess I am ? At least I’m not hiding under the bed all day anymore. People are.. surprisingly nice to me. Even if I’m not ‘Erya’. Existing by myself still feels weird though but I don’t get a say in this, do I ?.”

She paused for a second and looked at Keiko. “Oh- erm- sorry but who are you ? I don’t remember meeting you before this whole mess ?”

Zee smiled warmly and offered Calli some mini marshmallows he found. "Here master you can have some of my secret stash cherries are fine but I love mini marshmallows too. Oh I hope you don't mind I settled my home in your sock drawer, and you don't mind me calling you master right? Or do you want a different title?"

Calli was moving some stuff around. The house was quite a mess and cleaning seemed like a good thing to do. She stopped to look at Zee with a confusing face.

“’Master’ ? That seems a bit too... formal ? You can just call me Calli, you know ? You’re not a pet.” she said, taking some mini marshmallows before smiling to the bitty “thanks for the snacks though, and don’t worry you can settle anywhere. Tell me if you need more space or err- idk- mini beds and stuffs ? Would a doll house be too much ?”

[atn : tbh I was about to say- “f it, too lazy to draw and I have no ideas” and post just the text but then boom I did this xD ..someone please teach me how to start my brain when I actually need it- I beg ya]

[ATN / Erya : thank you ! I guess it’s the only thing I managed to do as I’m terrible at keeping up with anything :’D nah- joke-

 I do like the pfp too, it’ll stay this way until Calli (and I) figures herself out- which might take a while because I’m slow and lazy as hell- also this doodle up there has no context- I just made it and it was cute so there you go buddy- ]

A tiny portal opened up and a small bitty hopped out "Calli! Heya my name's Zee I'm the bitty version of Zero." He reached up for her. "Wanna go watch some fireworks together." He smiled warmly.

Calli blinked at the small skeleton. Cupping her hands together she approached Zee and waited for him to hop on her hands before looking at him closer.

"cute.." The words barely escaped her 'lips'.

She stared a bit more before realising it and shook her head briefly.

"oh, sorry, I never saw a bitty before. Fireworks you say ? That sounds fun ! Where will it be ?"

❄* Nala comes to visit Calie bearing gifts* "Hi Calie, Merry Christmas, or Gyftmas, not sure which you prefer *giggles* I brought you some clothes, a nice cozy sweater, some short pants and some skirts. And some brand new boots! i was hoping that these would cheer you up. I remember how you loved your boots. =^×^=

//I'm sorry it's late//

Calli was surprised by the gifts.

"F-for me ? Really ?.. Thank you. I do guess I can't stay dressed up like that forever.."

She went to try her new clothes. They were a bit too big for her but they were comfortable. She looked at herself in the mirror and stayed silent for too long minutes.

"something feels.. Off..?.. I do like the boots thought. Thank you Nala. Merry giftmas" she smiled softly

Zero blinks before walking over and opening his arms.

"Heh tell that to my worry alarms, do ya' need a hug? I'm sorry I haven't come and visited you often enough."

Calli looks at the side, avoiding your gaze.

"ah well..it's fine. I don't see why you would want to visit me. I'm not.. Exactly the Calli you know."

She stays silent before looking back at you, walking towards her with open arms. She remembers your proposition for a hug. And seems to start talking to herself.

"... Do I.. Need a hug ? Do I ? I got one not so long ago- but we liked Zero's hugs.. Do I like Zero's hugs ? I think Creator was attached to him- and oh no am I thinking out loud right now ? I'm not used to think for myself-"

She seems annoyed and embarrassed with herself.

"you know What- yes. I think I need a hug"

She finally declares putting the curtain aside.

A portal opens and Zero peeks in "Heya Calli, sorry I haven't visited for a long while I figured your creator was busy how are you doing?"

Calli gets surprised by the portal and familiar voice. She runs to hide behind her bed's curtain.

"O-oh. Errrrr-" she thinks for a second.

"Zero ! Yeah Yeah- I'm doing fine- everything's okay-"

Who's your creator again ?

"oh.. You probably know them as Erya Lainfa..? Our souls were linked so they could use me as their persona. Let me illustrate it.. Give me a second-"

She takes a piece of chalk and starts doodling on the wall

"I was specifically created to be their vessel.. And well.. I didn't have much more to do anyway so it was fine with me."

"... I think it's actually the first time we aren't connected at all.. It feels weird"
