Guiding Hand Rambles
I love the idea of the Lost Light travelling to different universes and visiting different versions of Cybertron. A big reason for that is because the chances are high of them meeting a Primus who never lost his memories and became Rung. A Primus who went on to govern Cybetron with whatever remained of the Guilding Hand.
Can you imagine Rod and Crew, touching down on a Cybertron where the populous is happy and thriving, and a Guard tells them they must be brought before Primus and the Hand. I bet they’d do a double take at the thought of meeting their Gods and, when they finally meet Primus, it’s a tiny little Cybertronian with twig thin arms!
But although Primus appears so unassuming, the more observant among the crew believe it. It’s in the way he carries himself with quiet dignity and the light that shines from his chest, a light that has shone since Cybertron’s very beginning. His eyes, in particular, make Ratchet feel like a new spark again.
It was never really explored in LL, how the more religious members of the crew felt upon discovering that Rung, their crew mate, was their god. I understand JRo and the rest of the team were struggled for time and page space, but it’s still something I would’ve loved to have seen.
I also just really like thinking about the relationship the GH had with each other. Mortilous and Primus are described life and death but we’ve seen that Mortilous was not a war hungry kill fiend. How did that partnership come about? It’s entirely possible that Mortilous represented something else entirely, and the truth about him was altered like how he was in the present, but with a name like that I doubt it.
When you break it down a lot of the GH look like they could’ve operated in pairs. Life is, of course, the natural partner to death. Knowledge is nothing without the wisdom to use it. The odd duck here is, unsurprisingly, Adaptus. Perhaps that’s part of the reason he lashed out.
Thank you for joining me for this ramble!

Dear Vector Prime,
I'm fairly new to knowing about your kind, so forgive me for asking a dumb question you've probably answered some time in the past but...I'm a little curious...I've never heard about any of the primes being medics...so...what happens when one of you guys gets injured during a fight?
Dear Medic Monitor,
It is true that none of us have "medic" as our official function. We Primes were originally created as soldiers, meant to rid the universe of the scourge of Unicron… but things are rarely so simple.
In war, injury is inevitable—and in a war as catastrophic as the one we fought, a single wound could change the fate of creation. We could not have a single dedicated healer among our ranks, for if they fell, so too would the rest of us. Instead, each of us brought our own talents to bear when one of our comrades was wounded, working together to ensure the Chaos Bringer could not lay us low for long.
Alchemist put his studies of the physical and metaphysical worlds together, letting him see wounds to both our bodies and psyches, and know how to repair them. Solus may have primarily put her Forge to work in creating tools, but she knew how to fix things as well, including her siblings. Alpha Trion may now be famous as a sage and advisor, but his knowledge has given him a keen grasp of Cybertronian anatomy and how to upgrade and repair others. Energoa saw the conduits and meridians that ran through our bodies and souls, and ensured they flowed freely to restore us to health.
Quintus loved life, and preserving said life was something he instinctively felt drawn to, leading him to further develop medicine. On the other hand, though Mortilus's domain was death and the ending of things, he knew how to hold off those ends until their appointed time—and speaking of time, I myself have been responsible for turning back the clock more than once, restoring my injured siblings to full functionality. Predator may be the mask of a hunter, showing Onyx weakness to exploit in his prey, but so too could it show where one's own herd is vulnerable; where to intervene, and where to let nature do its work uninterrupted.
Micronus was always willing to share his strength with others. Nitro was the ultimate first responder, there to help before we knew we had been hit. Nexus had a knack for seeing how things came apart, and how to put them back together. Sentinel was unshakable, his hands never trembling as he patched our armor. And of course, it's been said of one of my siblings that if he had been on Earth, he'd be a doctor, a mechanic, a scientist, and a warrior. But to us, there is no great difference between those professions.
That, ultimately, is our great secret. Unicron was a blight, an infected wound on the cosmos that needed to be cut out and sterilized. We Primes were made to save lives—sometimes that takes a sword or blaster, and sometimes it takes a laser scalpel.

Transformers All-Sparks: Soundwave
Tumblr media
After how many months, FINALLY, a new All-Sparks update, featuring Soundwave and Lazerbeak!
--------
Megatron's most loyal warrior, and arguably, his only real friend. The Chief Communications Officer of all Decepticon forces, infamous for seeming to know almost every little detail of multiple Decepticons, such is his skill in espionage, not just on enemy Autobots, but among his own forces. On the field, to assist in his missions, he has the Recordicons, consisting of the trouble making twins Rumble and Frenzy, and loyal beasts Ravage and Lazerbeak.
Stoic and unflappable, he's known for his inability to be intimidated, complimented with plain, monotone voice. He's also unabashedly professional, and very rarely let's his own personal grudges get in the way of what he considers 'The Overall Decepticon Objective'.
He also has an affinity with animals, something that perplexes many, for how does this boring, monotone officer have a way of making sure his companions, Lazerbeak and Ravage, to do their objectives with more success than most bots.
Of the recordicons in his command, Lazerbeak is his oldest and truest companion, the Cy-Eagle having been with him since even before he worked Megatron in the mines all those millenia ago.
Transforms into an all-purpose communications satellite, with both a land mode, AND a space mode!

Still not over how we (society) have been phasing out the word 'sexism' and replacing it with 'misogyny' in a thinly veiled attempt to get rid of the gender neutral version of sex based discrimination.
It's really killing people inside to just include men in gender equality.
