Perhaps… if ancient husks of gold created from murdered souls can house the spirit of a pharaoh, read minds, or try to predict the future, then why couldn’t time start rewinding itself around a fixed point to create a vacuum of personal torture? Physics be damned.
Now that he can let himself accept that, then what’s left is to figure out how to break the vacuum.

Kaeya found his composure quicker than Diluc expected, appearing bright and sunny despite the bags under his eyes and the paleness in his face. He couldn’t. They were clearly not in a place for Diluc to openly express concern. Kaeya wouldn’t have it and Diluc couldn’t blame him.
