Yarrrr! This one started out as a tieny tiny advertorial for the pirate edition of @grnn_stripblad and I ended up really liking her. Now that I am working on a cool D&D inspired comic for the wonderful @not.a.mimic.zine I want to use her design for one pf the 3 princesses. Saturday 11 march I'll be at the @nieuwegardefestival in Zwolle! I'll bring my comics books, Arcus / Acception stickers and more. Plus, me and @abe_borst will do button commissions again! Last Saturday I was at the open day at @nsggroenewoud to draw manga. @thebigdrawnederland provides Manga and anime classes at NSG XTRA, a course you can do next to the regular lessons and I was asked do a comic art performance. I filled this big screen with a '4 page' manga style comic in 5 hours. Yesterday I had the honor to draw manga on this huge screen at @nsggroenewoud 👩‍🎨 NSG is a highschool that offers manga and anime drawing classes as extra courses you can do in addition to the regular classes, a program called NSG XTRA. Sooo cool that this is an option now, wish I had this when I was on high school! 🤓 I was asked by @thebigdrawnederland to do a live manga performance here. In five hours I filled this screen with a manga style story about bullying, being different and how this non-binary character reacts to bullies. It was quite a challenge to finish this in time, but I had a lot of fun with it and I talked to so many lovely people! These are pictures of what they gave me. hydrogen peroxide in a plastic cup, with two plastic gloves and a extra ziplock bag. It didn't leak on my way back home. I draw and think of many crazy things but this really happened. Disclaimer! I took some liberties in storytelling to make this work as a comic. I do like my dentist and this series is not meant as a bad review or anything! This all happened a while back and I just want to share this experience. Really happy with all your responses and reactions to my comics! People actually read this, yay! 😭🙏💖💖💖 To give a lil context about this one, I usually don't take painkillers and try to ignore pain and discomforts by working and distracting myself. My general practitioner and dentist already called me out on this, multiple times. I know now that it's okay to take painkillers for situations like these. But I keep finding it a weird question, rather than temporarily keeping the pain at bay I want to know what's causing it. My dentist suspected that a lil piece of the wisdom tooth that was pulled a year prior stayed behind and was the cause of it all. But it wasn't. As someone who has a history of bad teeth and caveties, hearing that there was nothing wrong was new. But the pain and anxiety took away most of that joy. Because, if it's not that? Then what is causing this? Is the spirit of my pulled wisdom tooth haunting me? Can you have pain for a molar that's no longer there? Is this...
