Toji was an enigma.
He wasn’t really a childhood friend but you’ve seen him since you were young–he was always alone. Always outside of his family’s home.
Back then, the one time you tried talking to him under a shade of the ginkgo tree in a hill just near your home, he flat out ignored you, he continued reading a book that looked worn out.
You tried again and again, akin to a cat you’ve taken care of. You used to think it was the same for him. Your other friends’ convinced you not to talk with him, they deemed him unapproachable and scary. Never agreeing with them but you think of Toji, just like a cat, ignoring you but will grow accustomed to you until the end. You think you were so smart back then, when he finally looked up to you. Those emerald eyes staring back at you, a frown on his lips. He doesn’t have the scar yet. You can still hear the cicadas, the wind blowing coolly, making the trees rustle, and a sweat forming on your back and forehead from playing.
“Do you wanna play?”
“No.”
The next day you return, you bought a children’s book, plopped down next to him under the shade, prickles of dewy grass through your legs and started reading. He stares at you for a moment before returning to read again. You didn’t talk to him much but you can tell for the next few days, his eyes started looking at you.
“What are you 5?”
It offended you when he first spoke, eyes glancing down at your book before back at you. You were 12, thank you very much, and he was probably 14 or 15. You were reading a Japanese folktale about Tama, the waving cat you’ve seen in restaurants that denotes luck for business. It was a short tale you enjoyed.
One time you bought a western book, it was called ‘ The Little Prince’, and your mother lent it to you. This time the young boy’s eyes changed a bit, you can feel him glancing at the book you were reading and back at you. He does this a few times. It seems he wants to read it as well. You also bought an ice candy or frozen popsicle with fruity flavors, you tried giving it to him but he only shook his head.
“I don’t want that, it's cold.” You only shrugged at him and started munching your popsicle, closing the book you didn’t finish but you can feel his eyes staring at it on your hand. You can hear his finger tapping his worn out book,“I want to read that.” He couldn’t seem to keep his mouth shut, curiosity finally overriding his brain. You grinned but stopped yourself. The cat took the bait, you think back then.
“Okay, what’s your name first?” You ask him, opening the book again, you didn’t understand the story much back then though you enjoyed reading the Prince’s adventures.
“Zenin Toji.”
You’ve heard the Zenin Family can be quite proud and a mean bunch, conservatives too, one of the old money types of richest here in your province. You remembered him wearing a Yukata. Their family always wears one. They were one of the famous sword dwellers around the country.
You’ve lent it to him, you can see his eyes shine upon reading. After reading, you see a small smile on his face and it was the first time you’ve seen it. It was summer so it was inevitable to start sweating, especially if one is wearing a dark yukata. You offered him the frozen popsicles again, he only stared at them, eyes looking back at you again before settling to get one.
It's been a few weeks of the same routine, school hasn’t started yet so you freely hang out with him. You talk about the books you both read, folktales mostly. You started bantering, his witty remarks at the fables you’ve chosen.
“Do you even know my name?” You asked him one time, he only nods back, eyes focused on the book he is still reading, it was a new one. It was about Yuki-Onna, the mysterious snow woman of Japan, a yōkai or spirit.
It was also the first time you heard your name spoken from his lips.
“How did you know?!”
“Stupid.” He remarked, pointing at your name from the back cover. Your eyes went wide, right you did write your name on the back cover before glaring at him, “I’m not stupid, you assho- you meanie. I just forgot.”
You can hear your mother already scolding you for saying a bad word but you can’t help it if you're hearing your grandfather curse at annoying customers. Toji is annoying for saying you’re stupid.
To your surprise, amusement mirths in his eyes as he lets out a short laugh. “You can curse, ya’ know.”
You also started to notice that he gets the same color of popsicle with the same color of what you would pick. It continued on, until you tricked him and didn’t bring any color of the same popsicle. Much to your excitement and was looking forward to it, he didn’t get one and said he didn't feel like eating sweets that time.
That day was also the last time you’ve seen him.
The next day, you sat under the shade alone, you bought the book that piqued his curiosity in the first place. A bit bummed out as school starts tomorrow, you left the book near its hollow when some of your friends asked you to play with them. You went home and completely forgot about it.
It was dinner time, you were eating tonkatsu filled with gravy, your feet kicking from the floor at the dining table. When your mother learned you were befriending a Zenin, she was alarmed and warned you to never associate with a Zenin. Your grandfather scolds your mother while father watches from the side quietly.
“It’s not the kid’s fault he was born to a corrupt family.”
Before going to sleep, you had asked your father about it, “Just follow your mother.” He just said. Following your mother’s advice, you never really went back to the hill near your home, although secretly you believe your grandfather’s words. Whenever your mother asks something to buy, you almost always stop by the hill with your bike but he wasn’t there.
Seasons changed, flowers fell, the leaves that used to sway from the tree are deemed empty, the white snowflakes continue falling, it recently just started snowing. You hugged your thick white jacket tighter around you, your hair you had forgotten to tie, speckles of snow spread in your hair, you’re a bit taller now and that’s when you saw him under the shade again. The same lush green eyes you grew to look forward to notice your gaze, he stares at you. Against your better judgment, you went even near, you could hear your mother’s warning voice yet your grandfather’s voice was louder.
‘It’s not his fault he was a Zenin’
The same way seasons have changed, you noticed he was different now. He was now taller, hair longer obscuring the view of his ears. He still wears a yukata, and you hope it still offers him warmth from the cold. Taking a few steps towards him, he has deep eye bags, his eyes—they look dimmed, tired. There seems to be a bit of bruises on some of his face, there's also a wound on the side of his mouth, it looks deep, you winced. His eyes focusing on you, he blinks a few times slowly.
“Thought you were Yuki-onna.” He chuckles lifelessly. You notice the breath of cold winter air from his lips. Toji crosses his arms, attention full back at you, with furrowed eyebrows and a tone a bit demanding. “What do you want?”
“I- Are you okay?” You asked and you think it was so idiotic, he sneers at you visibly. You almost tremble, never mind the winter air as you feel almost humiliated. You blink.
“Do I look like I’m fucking doing okay?”
“No.”
He clicks his tongue, glaring at you. “Now you can leave me alone.”
The warning signs rang through your head. You gulped, took another step closer but Toji stands still, eyes darker.
“Toji, what happened?”
“It’s none of your fucking business, I just said leave me alone.”
“But we’re friends—”
Toji lets out an incredulous laugh, “We’re not, you were the one who approached me.” He emphasized the last part. “I never thought of you as one, you made that shit up through your head.”
You felt something sink in your stomach, stepping back, your lips trembled and a barbed wire feeling around your throat. You fight back the tears threatening to fall. You were always weaker at your emotions, clenching your fists through the gloves. Glad for the winter air, your tears didn’t fall. You felt heat rising in your face, your heart started beating fast as you scowled at him back.
Taking the glove from your left hand, you threw it to his face fast.
“You’re an asshole.”
Toji remains unfazed, eyes almost dead. Your left hand starts getting colder but you never minded it as you turn around, your feet aching, and walking away quickly.
Unbeknownst to you, Toji continues staring at the place you left until you were gone from his view. He sighs wearily, holding the bridge of his nose before he strikes the tree with his fist, Toji stares at knuckles, now a bit aching and red. He felt exhaustion kick in now, the bruises in his body and face seem to taunt and made its existence even more.
He looks down and stares at the glove you left, its color the same as his aching fist, the glove seems to glower at him. He steps on it against the snow.
Through your anger, you didn’t notice how fast you went home from the bike. Your parents are shocked at your wild appearance, a missing glove and your hair unkempt. You look hurt. They thought you were mugged but you just said that you fell on your bike. Not sure if they believed you, when they looked at each other. You ignored their questioning gazes as you went to your room, closed the door loudly and lied down, your tears freely falling this time, crying your heart out just because some boy was mean.
That was the last time you saw him when you were 12.
❄️
When you turned 16, you met Jin in high class. He moved into your little province with his father. The first thing you noticed was his naturally pink hair, he slid the glasses up to his face when introducing. A bit shy, he sat next to you and naturally you learned about each other more.
Jin was kind and nerdy, he likes reading books and baking. He also seems to know a lot of video games. Getting close to him was easy like how spring came to view, it was pretty and blooming.
Late into Valentines, Jin was sweating, a huge blush on his face when he held a bouquet of red roses, now a bit wobbly from how hard he grips. Against the backdrop of the pink cherry blossoms, the roses shine even more.
You blushed, smiling as you accepted the flowers and the confession. You both became a couple. It was pure bliss being by Jin’s side.
The ginkgo tree near your home, bleeds against the sunset. It is Autumn now. You bought a picnic basket, Jin wanted to spend the day with you, and you suggested a picnic would be nice. The wind blows and you tuck in your hair as you open the basket, a red stripe blanket in view. You quickly stood up, unfolded the blanket and laid it on top of the grass.
A shadow came into view against the tree, you heard light footsteps and a presence on your back. You lightly chuckle, taking out a few popsicles. “That was fast—”
Turning around, a light blue yukata was the first thing you’ve seen, you raise your head to see Toji. The same green eyes looking at you, his hair still long and a noticeable scar on his mouth. He looks bigger now that you’ve seen him up close. It seems like he was back at home now after hearing he was sent to a private school somewhere in Tokyo. His eyes darted through your hand.
“You still like those popsicles, huh.”
“What do you want?” You turn away from him, opening the basket, getting other refreshments. Your voice can’t help but be harsh. Truth to be told, you almost wanted to forgive him, given the circumstances but you just can’t, you were hurt, it was a short time but you considered him a friend you genuinely enjoyed being with.
“On a date?” He asks back, you clenched your jaw at his audacity to ask you. It was shivering, the cold air. His voice is much deeper now. Where was Jin anyway? It's just sandwiches that you had forgotten at the kitchen counter. What's taking him so long? You muled in your mind.
“I don’t think it's any of your fucking business,” You said, done with this conversation. Standing up, you almost crane your neck because when did he get so tall. You stared dagger in his eyes but he returned them with tilt and an amusing chuckle. The sunset turned golden against Toji’s back, a soft glow contrasting to his sharp features and you hated the sight even more.
“Feisty,” he grins back at you, eyes almost sparkling. You scoff at his remark, he’s not taking your anger seriously. “Still mad at our last conversation?”
“Yes.” You said through gritted teeth. “And it was not a conversation, you were mad at me for asking if you’re okay! Now 4 years have passed and you try to strike up a conversation as if nothing happened?”
Toji keeps staring at you, you also noticed he doesn’t look quite as tired now like years before, if he was engaging you in something you think would be stupid for him.
Moments passed yet the man you are mad at is still quiet. Eyes only staring at you.
Breathing hard after saying all that, sighing, you closed your eyes and stretched your neck to the side. This was supposed to be a relaxing day to end with Jin.
“You know what? I’m done.”
Seems like this isn’t going anywhere, given that Toji doesn’t think much about the situation, it was just you who was at the receiving end. You know how the Zenin family has something to do with it, but the lashing out was uncalled for, it's just like you were holding a grudge for nothing all this time. You think that maybe you took it too seriously but his words hurted you. It doesn’t excuse how he treated you when you were just concerned. So no, you don’t want to be a doormat. “I don’t want to get involved with you.”
You took a step away from the blanket, grabbed it hastily and tucked it inside the basket, uncaring if it's crumpled. You can still feel his eyes on you. Standing straight, you glared at him once more before you were starting to quickly walk away when he called your name. You resolved yourself to not listen to whatever he has to say but Toji was quicker, he held your arm. It was warm and you hate the feeling, you tried removing his hand but he took your hand with him, his fingers almost intertwining between yours to not let it escape. You felt a shiver.
He calls your name again and your heart pounds.
“Then do you want me to say sorry?” He speaks nearly as softly. Toji turns you towards him. His scent almost envelopes you. This time you can even see his face clearer, he was still gazing at your eyes. “Sorry I was an asshole?” You watch his eyes go down—you had to physically push him away.
“I don’t know! You should know that.” You exclaimed, gripping the basket harder.
What the hell was he trying to do? Before you could even go, you snap back. “Asking what I want? feels insincere.”
Toji lets out a sigh before he speaks, and maintains the distance now. “I’m sorry for being an asshole. I’m not justifying how I felt back then.”
“I’m just sorry for lashing out at you. ”
You both stare at each other, another gust of wind hits both of you. The chilly cold autumn certainly is here. A few leaves fall from the ginkgo tree and you can see Toji let out a small smile at you. You were the first to look away when you heard someone call your name.
Your boyfriend. Right.
“Jin! What took you so long?”
“Dad had just a few errands, you know how he gets.” He says apologetically, his hand running through his pink hair, his eyes turning from you to Toji. Eyes back at you and you can see through his glasses. He was questioning you.
“That’s Zen–”
The taller man interrupts you and crosses his arms, a smug smile on his face. “Just call me Toji.” You kept your mouth shut after that. It was of course a sensitive topic, you just learned he now hates using it.
“I’m …” Toji says your name quietly, “..friend.”
“We’re not friends, you’re just making that shit up in your head.” You answered back at him, this time Toji lets out a hearty laugh at your response, his hand in his stomach. You felt an uncomfortable churning in your stomach the way it felt warm hearing it, he grins back at you, you just rolled your eyes at him.
“A childhood friend then.” Toji says, he looks lighter now after your little remark.
You hear Jin let out an uncomfortable cough when he notices your gaze lingering at Toji’s. Awkwardly, you took a step back and took your boyfriend’s hand, intertwining it between yours. You can feel Toji’s eyes on them, he crosses his arms once again, finger tapping.
You can’t make what is now brewing in those green eyes of his.
“Toji, this is Jin, my boyfriend.” You start. The taller man only nods, contrary to his mood earlier. He was neither smiling or frowning. Jin was smiling politely yet Toji schools his expression as he looks at you. He yawns.
“Nice to meet you.” He greets back, eyes flickering towards Jin with a lack of interest. Before you can even take note of it, he speaks again. “I better get back, see ya lovebirds.” He waves at you, leaving while you continue staring at his back, walking down the hill. A flutter of autumn leaves falls.
You feel a nudge and when you turn, Jin smiles, holding the bag of sandwiches in your face. “Let’s eat?”
The mood became lighter, as you fixed the picnic again. Laid down blanket, a pretty sunset and good company. You both ate the sandwiches, a comfortable conversation follows.
At some point, the mood died down. Sunset turned lilac ones, the birds are going home now. It was serene.
Jin was quiet, so you sat near beside him. Laying your head on his shoulder, opposed to what you felt earlier… this is what you should be feeling. Secured, comfortable. Just like the spring that blooms and is pretty to look at.
“You alright?”
You hear him ask when you close your eyes. A hum was the only reply you could give, another rustle from the wind sings you a lullaby to sleep. You felt a warm cloth enveloping you, a scent akin to a vanilla. You snuggled further.
Moments later, Jin wakes you up. Face close, his gentle gaze on you, short pink hair and glasses you adore on him, while your eyesight starts to adjust from the nap.
“It’s already night time, let’s go?”
Smiling at him, he stares at you shyly, eyes looking down on your lips.
“Pretty…” He murmurs, you can see him gulping and an autumn colored on his cheeks. “May I?” Jin touches your cheek, fingers caressing. You just nod and feel Jin’s soft lips on yours. You both closed your eyes. It was anything you wished for.
Long enough you had just forgotten dreaming of a yukata and snow falling, and eyes that can’t stray away from you.

Eternal Sunshine (pt. 1)
T. Zenin x Reader
Just left the Zenin clan, Toji finds himself in a endless loop of just having to get the job done. Just before he completely loses himself down the path of self deprecation he found himself feeling something new within him. Something he never felt the need or urge within the Zenin clan.

Toji Zenin was a lone man after departing from the Zenin clan. Having to fend for his own and make ends meet. Not that he cared much for the meaning of his life anymore. Though talented and strong he knew it could only get him so far in the world.
He could count with one hand on the amount of people he has along side him. Not exactly friends but acquaintances he refers as. Shiu Kong. More of a business partner the more Toji thought of when near his presence.
So he was taken aback when Shiu had invited him to a party that his family was hosting just for the fun of it. Claiming Toji could probably be due for some more social interaction other than overbearing himself with money haggling killings.
Only have known each other for less than four months now, Toji found it out of character for being someone like Shiu and their business relation to ever clash outside of work socially.
Now he found himself sitting comfortably on a prestige white sofa, with a glass resting comfortably in his hand watching as people continued to walk in Kong’s household. Not sure if he’d stay any longer due to Shiu’s presence no longer near as last he saw him maneuvering around to converse with others.
Debating on finding Shiu to bid farewell or just head out, Toji’s thoughts were interrupted when the door slammed open and small stomps enter the house. The rush of two small children rush past him and meet with the others their age.
His eyes look over to you entering the front door, struggling to hold a bag that was too big for you. Your hair slightly misplaced and almost tripping on your dress just before setting down the bag near a corner away from anyone who would accidentally trip near it.
His ears pick up on some calling over to you, greeting you with smiles and laughter at your expression. A look of relief displayed on your face as he heard you greet them back.
He couldn’t find himself to tear his eyes from you. As intrigued to have seen you enter the room, he was just another person in the room. One that was merely invited because of a simple gesture.
As he was about to part from Shiu’s invite, he felt a thump against his right leg. Looking down he sees a small child rubbing her hand against her cheek before looking up at him flash him a gummy smile.
Her small voice could barely be heard by him as the room’s atmosphere only had been filled with conversations.
He could only assume that the following child coming up next to the one who bumped into his leg was it’s twin. Because in broken words could he barely make out her words in apologizing for her sister along with the same gummy smile.
Looking down at the both of them, an unfamiliar feeling was felt inside of him. Never been much for caring or not caring about kids. But now that he was out of his god forsaken clan he left behind where he had no future in had him wonder if now he could.
“I’m sorry about them! I saw Valeria from the other side of the room! I apologize if she disturbed you!” An awkward laugh could be heard from you as you try to sweat it off.
Toji’s eyes come in contact with yours as you reach down to grab one of them which his assumes is Valeria, and hold her by your hip.
“No need to apologize more than once ‘ya know,” a soft chuckle echoed from him as he observed you. And then the child. “Got lucky with twins the first time?”
A deep embarrassing blush rushed into your face as you held in a cough trying to keep composure as the child in your arms played with the strands of your hair and the other fiddling with the long end of your skirt.
“Actually, they’re my Godchildren,” a small laugh escapes you this time “Does it seem like they’re my own?”
His eyes observed you once more and you could feel your face feel warm again.
Before he could continue, Toji felt a hard pat behind his shoulder. “Toji! You’ve met my cousin in law (Y/N)! Hope she ain’t bore you yet,” Shiu’s face was expressive enough with amusement in his voice. Clearly joking.
“Oh har har, Shiu” your voice clear with sarcasm making Toji let out a chuckle.
Before Shiu could counter back, their attention was turned downward to the child that was still patiently next to you. Calling out for Shiu to bring her into his arms.
“Amara, have you met Toji yet?,” Shiu gestured towards Toji now, a completely different person in front of Toji now that he had a child in his arms. Almost like if Shiu was desperate for one himself. Toji could only mentally laugh at Shiu’s change of persona whilst holding a toddler in his arms.
“It’s nice to meet you Toji, I’m (Y/N). And this is Valeria and that is Amara.” A fond smile was formed in your features.
“It’s nice to meet you too.”
-
It was two weeks later that you two were to meet again. At a grocery store to be exact.
Toji’s train of thought was interrupted conflicted on which brand of oats to purchase as he his name, well an attempt of his name being called out to him.
“T-teddy” with a confused face Toji found himself looking down at where he heard the voice of the child call out to him pointing at him with a familiar gummy smile. Though he can’t exactly remember which one was which.
“Valeria?,” Toji’s attempt to get the child’s name failed as the toddler huffed in slight confusion back at him trying to correct him, “Amara!”
“Amara!” The two turn to find you rushing towards them down the aisle heading straight for the child as you held onto the other.
“Amara I’ve told you many times don’t go off on your own! It’s dangerous!,” kneeling down to reach out for her Amara only giggled. Not knowing the panic she’d cause you even for just a few seconds in time.
Trying to spat out words, Amara could only get out so much. “Found Teddy!” An exaggerated pointer finger from Amara like if she found the end of the rainbow finally brought your attention to Toji.
“Oh Toji,” a sigh of relief escaped from your post panic self “I’m relieved it wasn’t some stranger she’d ran into just now.” Getting up from your kneeling state and taking a hold of Amaras hand. You found yourself apologizing to him once again.
“I’m sorry to bother you again Toji! Please believe me, now that they just turned two, all they want to do is run around! And they escape the toddler’s cart so easily even with the safety belt! Gosh I’m sorry again!”
Toji could feel the anxiety coming off of you, and felt a little pity as well. It did seem it was hard to keep up with two little ones and trying to do basic tasks like grocery shopping.
“Don’t sweat it, you doing alright?”
You could only nod with a smile as you’ve tried to keep it together.
Though it shouldn’t have had to bother Toji, it did.
“Need some help?” His words caught you off guard.
Regardless of your awaiting response, Toji found himself placing back the option of oats and kneeling down to pick up Amara, who giggled in his arms. As well as Valeria as she seems to not want to be left out in the fun and holding her hands up for him.
The rest of the grocery run was a change of pace. From a panic stressful situation to a change of peace and quiet. Sort of. As the girls were with each other in Toji’s arms and seemingly having a fun time in a new height.
As it came to an end, Toji still lent his helping hand in walking you and the twins to your car. Unable to thank him enough, you offered him to pay for his own groceries though he rejected.
-
What he didn’t reject was your offer to repay him with a breakfast date. Well not exactly a date. Just an offer to show your gratitude.
Sitting down, to any others in the relatively decent sized morning restaurant the group of four seemed like a typical family to the strangers eyes.
What they hadn’t known is the tension in your body as you try to keep the two girls from causing too much ruckus within their child stools that the restaurant had offered. Trying to grab anything and everything in their view along side each other. With the two adults on opposite sides of the booth.
“I want to thank you again Toji, for the other day in helping me at the grocery store. You didn’t have to do that for my sake. But I appreciate it.”
Toji’s eyes softened as you held up a spoon full of whip cream from the order of pancakes up to one of the twins face. Opening wide with excitement. And in the exact moment, the other one turning towards him trying to mimic her sisters actions as in hoping Toji would do the same for her with his plate of pancakes in front of him.
“Amara, wait your turn,” a stern but gentle calling to her before speaking again. “Amara is more of the endearing one compared to Valeria. They’re complete opposite from each other. I’m always chasing after her with poor Valeria having to hold onto me.” A small smile appeared on your face as Toji let out a chuckle.
“You said they’re your godchildren, didn’t ya?”, with a fork coming up for Amaras turn Toji’s eyes look back at you concentrating to not make a mess trying to reach for her.
“Yes they are. They’ve been in my care for a year now,” he can see a change of expression in your features as you continue. “And now presumably for the next sixteen years too.”
The rest of the duration of the breakfast ended up with Toji feeding Amara himself with his own plate. Not after a scowling from you and a reassurance from him that it was alright.
“How that end up happening?” Toji was drawn to know how you became an official unofficial mother to the two.
Looking up from the girls and placing down the utensils, your arms found themselves crossing each other comfortably on top of the table.
It wasn’t much of a long story on your end. You had a best friend who made you the honorary god parent for her twins just months before having them. Never ended up thinking that honorary role was going to be set and stone just a year later after your best friend and her partner were in a fatal car accident coming home late one night after their first date night since the two came along.
“That’s how I’m stuck with these two now,” a small laugh came from you before looking up at him “it may seem morbid that I’m laughing now but please believe me it took me forever to laugh again.” Your hands in slight awkward defense.
Both of your attentions were drawn to them as Valeria called out for you. Calling you mom in the process.
“And when they’re old enough,” Toji couldn’t help but ask. “You gonna tell ‘em?”
Having Valeria in your arms now she reaches out to play with your necklace. “I intend to, yes.”
“And when they ask for their dad?” Toji couldn’t help but wonder if it weren’t just you in their lives.
A sense of relief escaped his shoulders as it was in fact just the three of you.

When I come back around, will I know what to say?
જsynopsis. After facing danger and near-loss, Yours and Nanami's bond deepens, surprising those around them with newfound warmth and affection.
જpairings. Kento Nanami x Reader
જcontents. Death, Near death, Blood.
"Smile, Kento!" you and Haibara chimed, setting off a chorus of laughter. Kento fought to stifle his grin, but it was a losing battle. He coughed, looking away to hide his amusement, but a glint of laughter still shone in his eyes, betraying his attempt to remain composed.
"There!" With a swift click, the camera captured the moment: you holding up one half of a heart while Haibara completed the other with his hand, and Kento, attempting to hide his fleeting smile.
Back in the dorms of Jujutsu High, the three of you settled into a familiar circle. Your room had become the default spot for hanging out with your two friends.
"Here, let's pin these bad boys back," you declared, brandishing cute clips to tame Kento's unruly hair. Despite his serious demeanor, Kento's expression never failed to amuse you, especially now with the playful clips adorning his hair.
"Haibara, get the camera!" you called out, prompting Haibara to seize the moment. And there was Kento once more, his expression the epitome of seriousness, immortalized in yet another photograph.
You and Haibara laughed at the photo while Kento watched, maintaining his typically stoic expression. Though he rarely showed much emotion when hanging out with you, you knew he was happy. The subtle warmth in his eyes and the relaxed set of his shoulders were telltale signs that he enjoyed these moments just as much as you and Haibara did.
"How did your first mission go?" Satoru asked, walking alongside Shoko and Suguru. Meanwhile, you and the others trailed behind them. "Me and Haibara kicked butt," you replied with a smile, nudging Haibara on the shoulder. "But, of course, Kento saved us when the other curse came outta nowhere."
"Haha! You guys suck!" Satoru turned around to laugh in your face. In response, you stuck out your tongue, a playful defense mechanism against his teasing.
"Leave our juniors alone, Gojo," Shoko said, playfully nudging him on the head. Meanwhile, Suguru smiled at Satoru's reaction, enjoying the lighthearted banter.
-
"He was strong," you muttered as tears streamed down your cheeks. Despite the evident truth that you were far stronger, you had never been one to boast about your strength.
"Nanami, why?" you whispered, your voice barely audible. The weight of your grief and confusion hung heavily in the air, a stark contrast to your usual confident demeanor.
He stayed quiet as usual. "Nanami, say something, please," you cried softly, tears streaming down your face.
"Nanami, please." Your voice broke, the desperation and sorrow evident in every word. The silence between you was heavy, filled with unspoken emotions and the weight of your grief.
Haibara's lifeless body lay on the table, and Suguru stared in disbelief, unable to process the grim reality. The room was thick with a palpable sense of loss and shock, as the once vibrant presence of Haibara was now a haunting memory.
"Nanami..." your cries softened as you dropped to your knees, laying your head on his knee. His head tilted back, a towel covering his eyes, as his hands gently found their way to your head.
In the midst of your shared grief, his touch offered a small measure of comfort, a silent reassurance that you were not alone in your sorrow.
"I'm sick," Suguru coldly muttered before stepping out of the room, leaving behind a heavy atmosphere fraught with unanswered questions and unresolved emotions. His departure only added to the sense of desolation and confusion that permeated the space, leaving you and Nanami to grapple with your grief in solitude.
Not only were the juniors suffering, but shortly after, so had the upperclassmen.
"Suguru, he defected," Shoko muttered as you two sat on the bench at Jujutsu High. Your heart sank at the news. "He murdered everyone in his entire village... even his own family."
Missions weren't the same anymore. In the wake of recent events, you found yourself throwing yourself into training with relentless determination. The camaraderie that once bound you and your fellow students seemed to fray, each of you retreating into your own struggles to cope with the weight of loss and betrayal.
After finishing Jujutsu High, your only plan was to move away from all of it. The constant turmoil and disappointment from the higher-ups had taken its toll, leaving you disheartened by their apparent lack of care for the lives at stake. The thought of continuing to risk your life without proper support or recognition weighed heavily on you, driving you to seek a fresh start away from the chaos.
Despite your intentions to leave it all behind, fate had a way of pulling you back in. Ten years later, you found yourself walking back into the dark history of Jujutsu High. The campus, once vibrant and bustling, now lay barren, stripped of its former vitality.
With a sense of resolve, you made your way to meet with Yaga, steeling yourself for the journey ahead and whatever challenges awaited in this place that held both memories and mysteries.
"You'll be in charge of physical training for the students. I know I can count on you," Yaga said, his gaze focused on the papers spread out before him, most of which were sent by the higher-ups. "You and Nanami."
So he came back too, you thought to yourself, a mixture of surprise and familiarity washing over you at the mention of Nanami's name. The weight of responsibility settled on your shoulders once more as you nodded in acknowledgment, ready to take on the task entrusted to you by Yaga.
Walking along the familiar school halls, you searched for Satoru, following Yaga's instructions to meet him and be introduced to the students. The memories of your time here flooded back as you passed by the classrooms and training grounds, each step carrying you closer to the present moment.
As you finally reached the classroom, you took a deep breath, steeling yourself for the introduction. Sliding the door open, you revealed Satoru and his three students. One of them, with pink hair, appeared extremely excited to be here, their enthusiasm practically radiating from them. Another student you recognized immediately as Megumi, Fushiguro's son, his demeanor reserved yet determined.
But it was the girl with the smile on her face who caught your attention as you entered the room. There was something about her warmth and openness that drew you in, and you couldn't help but return her smile as you stepped forward to join Satoru in the classroom.
"Long time no see, Satoru," you whispered, catching his attention. He couldn't help but notice the definite change in you. The girl he once knew seemed to have vanished, replaced by someone with longer, darker hair and a permanent slight frown replacing the once ever-present smile. Your physique appeared stronger, as if you had been training relentlessly on your own time.
Satoru's gaze lingered on you for a moment, a flicker of recognition and concern passing through his eyes.
"So cool! Our physical training teacher is a girl!" the autumn-haired girl giggled, shaking the shoulder of the boy beside her. Her excitement was palpable, and her enthusiasm brought a small smile to your lips despite the weight of your thoughts. It was refreshing to see her genuine excitement, a reminder of the youthful energy that still thrived within the walls of Jujutsu High.
"So, what are your names? I know this is Megumi, but you two must be?" you asked, your voice notably more emotionless than when Satoru had last seen you. The transformation in your demeanor was striking, a testament to the profound changes you had undergone since your last encounter. It was clear that the events of the past had left their mark on you, shaping you into a different person than the one Satoru once knew.
After learning their names, you found yourself alone with Satoru in the empty classroom. "So, what did you do after leaving Jujutsu High?" Satoru asked, taking a seat on one of the desks.
"I became a neonatal nurse. It was nice," you replied. It might have been surprising to Satoru, but he knew that you had always possessed a caring nature, making the choice of such a precious job fitting for you.
"Nanami is on a mission right now," Satoru added, sensing the unspoken longing in your voice to hear about his whereabouts.
You couldn't help but smile slightly at the news. "When is he coming back?" you asked, the anticipation evident in your voice. Despite the changes and the passage of time, the thought of Nanami's return filled you with a sense of comfort and familiarity.
"He should be back tonight," Satoru replied, confirming your hopes.
"And how are things with Megumi?" you asked, showing genuine interest in Satoru's relationship with his student.
"He's incredible. I think I've done a good job so far," Satoru replied, a hint of pride in his voice.
"You've done more than good, Satoru," you reassured him, your tone firm yet gentle.
"I'm always here for you," you said with sincerity before getting up from your seat and leaving Satoru alone in the classroom. Your words lingered in the air, a silent promise of support and solidarity, even in the midst of uncertainty and change.
As you stepped outside the school, the cold breeze greeted you softly, sending a shiver down your spine. Your gaze swept across the surroundings, only to lock onto the familiar figure standing distantly in front of you. "You're back," you said simultaneously with Nanami, the words hanging in the air between you.
His eyes met yours, filled with a mixture of shock and longing. It was clear that he, too, had noticed the changes you had undergone during your time apart.
"What are you doing here, Y/N?" Nanami's voice, now deeper and more monotone, cut through the air. His face remained emotionless, but there was an edge of irritation in his tone, questioning why you had decided to come back.
"Yaga called, and..." you began, but Nanami sighed, interrupting you.
"You're just putting yourself in danger again, Y/N. How stupid can you be?" His words were harsh, but his eyes betrayed a flicker of concern. The irritation in his voice couldn't hide the worry he felt for you, knowing the risks you were taking by returning.
Your brows furrowed in anger. "But it's okay for you to come back and risk your life?" you retorted, your voice rising with frustration. The unfairness of his accusation stung, and you couldn't help but challenge the double standard.
"I'll see you later," you said flatly, pushing past him. Tears welled up in your eyes, unseen by Nanami. The reunion had not gone as you had hoped, leaving you feeling more hurt and isolated than before.
-
"Sensei, I didn't know that you and Nanami knew each other," Yuji said as you all stretched, preparing for training.
"He was my classmate," you replied coldly, avoiding everyone's gaze. "Let's start." The curt response and your demeanor made it clear that you weren't in the mood to delve into the past.
You demonstrated a few tricks and moves you had learned during your time away from Jujutsu High, along with techniques you had mastered while attending the school.
It was safe to say that the students were impressed, not quite expecting such prowess from you. Your stamina and physical strength were evident as you effortlessly executed each move, showcasing the depth of your training and experience. The admiration in their eyes was unmistakable, a silent acknowledgment of your capabilities.
"Okay, now that I've thoroughly explained, try them on each other," you said, surveying the three students to decide who would go first. Your eyes scanned over Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, each one eager yet focused, ready to put the new techniques into practice.
"Megumi and Yuji, I'll work with Nobara," you exclaimed.
"No! I want to work with a boy to challenge myself," Nobara said determinedly.
You couldn't help but smile at her determination. "Well then, Megumi and Nobara, Yuji, you come with me."
Yuji gulped, giving Nobara a look, but he quickly nodded and stepped forward, ready to train under your guidance.
"She's doing great," Satoru said to Nanami, who had been watching you from a distance. Startled by Satoru's presence, Nanami slightly jumped.
"Of course she is, she's always been great," Nanami responded, his tone a mixture of pride and concern. "I just don't want anything to happen to her. She's the only one I have left," he muttered.
Satoru smiled, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Nanami is in love," he cooed.
Nanami's expression hardened, but there was no denying the depth of his feelings.
"I get you're concerned, but she deserved a more welcoming response than what you said the other day. We've all been through a lot, and she knows the risks of coming back. So, you didn't have to lecture her on it," Satoru sighed, walking towards his students who had been training with you.
-
As you walked through the abandoned cell house, the weight of the cursed aura pressing down on you, you couldn't help but sigh. The air was thick with malevolent energy, sending shivers down your spine.
"I want to go home, so can we make this easy," you whispered to no one in particular, the words a quiet plea for reprieve from the impending danger lurking in the shadows. But deep down, you knew that the mission ahead would be anything but easy.
The urgency with which they assigned you the mission was unmistakable. There was no hesitation, no second-guessing. It was clear that the situation demanded immediate action, leaving you with little time to prepare mentally or emotionally.
The unease you felt was palpable, the stress of the mission compounded by the lack of communication with Nanami. He had been your best friend back then, a constant source of support and understanding. Now, the silence between you weighed heavily on your mind, adding an extra layer of burden to an already daunting task.
As you navigated through the abandoned cell house, the absence of Nanami's presence felt like a glaring void, a reminder of the distance that had grown between you. You couldn't help but wonder what he would say if he knew about the mission, if he would offer words of encouragement or caution.
As you reached the end of the hall, you spotted the medium-sized curse, its inhumane wails echoing through the desolate corridors. With a scoff, you dashed forward, determination fueling your movements as you prepared your cursed technique to swiftly take down the curse.
Standing over the fallen curse, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease that washed over you. The ease with which you had dispatched the curse raised concerns. It was too easy, too straightforward. Something didn't feel right, and you couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the situation than met the eye.
As if it had read your mind, the wails behind you grew louder, sending a chill down your spine. Slowly, you turned around, your heart racing as you came face to face with a larger and more powerful curse than before.
"What the fuck," you muttered to yourself, your disbelief mingling with a sense of dread as you assessed the looming threat before you. It was clear that this curse would not go down as easily as its predecessor, and you braced yourself for a battle that promised to be far more challenging than anything you had faced.
The battle was fierce, the curse's sharp arms slashing through the air with deadly precision. Despite your best efforts to evade its attacks, you couldn't avoid every blow, and soon, deep scratches marred your abdomen, each one a painful reminder of the danger you faced.
Gritting your teeth against the pain, you pushed through, determined to overcome the formidable adversary standing before you. With every ounce of strength and skill you possessed, you fought back, refusing to let the injuries weaken your resolve.
As soon as you found a moment of respite, you ducked under a nearby staircase, seeking refuge from the relentless assault of the curse. With trembling hands, you ripped off your shirt, using it to apply pressure to the deep scratch in your abdomen, which was bleeding profusely.
The adrenaline coursing through your veins dulled the pain momentarily as you focused on staunching the flow of blood. Each heartbeat felt like a hammer blow against your chest, a grim reminder of the perilous situation you found yourself in. But amidst the chaos and fear, you remained resolute, determined to survive against all odds.
"You were right, Nanami," you whispered to yourself, drawing strength from the memory of his wisdom. With renewed determination, you discarded your doubts and fears, steeling yourself for the battle ahead.
Without hesitation, you dashed back towards the curse, channeling all your energy and focus into confronting the formidable adversary before you. Each step forward was a testament to your resilience and resolve, as you faced the challenge head-on, determined to emerge victorious no matter the cost.
With one final decisive blow, the curse was defeated, collapsing to the ground before you. But as the adrenaline began to fade, you became acutely aware of the searing pain radiating from your abdomen and the new deep scratches on your leg.
With a sharp intake of breath, you felt yourself falling to the ground, the pain overwhelming your senses. Each movement sent waves of agony coursing through your body, a stark reminder of the injuries you had sustained in the heat of battle.
Grimacing against the pain, you fought to stay conscious, your mind swimming with a mixture of exhaustion and determination. Despite the darkness threatening to engulf you, you refused to succumb, clinging to consciousness with every ounce of strength you had left.
"This mission is taking far longer than it should," Satoru remarked as he sat next to Nanami in the break room.
As if on cue, Shoko's urgent call interrupted their conversation. "I need you to teleport to her right now and make sure she doesn't bleed out. I'll try to get back as soon as I can," she instructed, her tone clipped and serious.
Satoru's eyes widened in alarm at the sudden urgency in Shoko's voice. "It's Y/N," she added, her words hanging heavy in the air.
Lying flat on the ground, pain coursing through your body and blood seeping from your wounds, you felt tears welling in your eyes.
"I don't want to die like this," you whispered, your voice barely audible as you spoke to nobody but yourself. The weight of your words hung heavy in the air, a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the fear of facing mortality alone.
"Y/N!" Satoru's voice pierced through the haze of pain, and despite your weakness, a soft smile tugged at your lips as you saw the familiar sight of the white-haired, blue-eyed sorcerer.
"It came out of nowhere," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper as you recounted the sudden attack.
"You did great," Satoru reassured you, his presence a comforting anchor in the midst of chaos.
"No, you're supposed to say I suck," you weakly joked, a faint smile gracing your lips despite the pain.
You chuckled softly, reminiscing about your first mission with Haibara and Nanami.
Determined to stop the bleeding, Satoru applied pressure to your weak body, his hands steady despite the urgency of the situation. As he worked to stem the flow of blood, it became apparent that your injuries were far more severe than what you had explained to Shoko.
The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on Satoru's shoulders, his brow furrowed with concern as he assessed the extent of your wounds.
As sudden as a gust of wind, the doors burst open, revealing Shoko running alongside Nanami. In her hands, she carried a kit designed to stop your bleeding, her expression a mix of urgency and determination.
Without a word, Shoko rushed to your side, swiftly taking over from Satoru as she began to administer first aid. Nanami stood nearby, his eyes fixed on you with a mixture of worry and relief.
"I'm so tired," you muttered, your voice barely above a whisper, exhaustion weighing heavily on every word.
With a gentle touch, you reached for Nanami's hand, raising it to your cheek. His touch brought a sense of comfort and reassurance, grounding you in the midst of turmoil.
Nanami's expression softened as he met your gaze, his hand warm against your skin. In that simple gesture, you found solace, a silent acknowledgment of the bond that had endured through trials and tribulations.
"Y/N, keep them open for me, please," Nanami whispered softly, his voice tinged with urgency and concern.
You fought against the heaviness in your eyelids, struggling to keep them open as fatigue threatened to overwhelm you. In that moment, you noticed a rare vulnerability in Nanami's expression, a departure from his usual stoicism.
With a soft nod, you acknowledged Nanami's plea, but the weight of exhaustion proved too much to bear. "I can't," you barely whispered, your voice fading as your eyelids closed of their own accord.
Nanami's heart sank at your words, a pang of fear gripping him as he watched you slip into unconsciousness. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't shake the sense of helplessness that washed over him.
Gently, he brushed a strand of hair from your face, his touch tender yet tinged with sorrow. In that moment, as you drifted into the realm of dreams, Nanami vowed to stay by your side, determined to protect you no matter the cost.
-
As your eyes fluttered open, the sterile scent of the hospital enveloped you, mingling with the familiar beeping noises of medical equipment. The dull ache in your abdomen and leg served as a stark reminder of the ordeal you had endured.
Slowly, you glanced around the room, taking in the sight of flowers sitting on the table next to you. Your gaze then settled on Nanami, who was sleeping soundly in the small chair tucked into the corner of the room. His presence brought a sense of comfort and relief, a silent reassurance that you were not alone in your recovery.
"Nanami," you whispered softly, careful not to disturb his slumber. His eyes opened instantly, alert and attentive.
"Baby, you're awake. Let me get the nurse," he responded, his voice tinged with relief at the sight of you conscious.
Your heart skipped a beat at the sudden endearment, your mind racing with a mixture of emotions. "No," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. "I just want to be with you right now."
Nanami's expression softened at your words, his eyes reflecting a mixture of tenderness and concern.
Your heart ached at the raw emotion in Nanami's voice, his words a poignant reminder of the risks you faced as a jujutsu sorcerer.
"I almost lost you," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "I don't know if I could be able to live knowing how much danger you're in constantly, Y/N."
His hands tenderly brushed through your hair, his touch a soothing balm against the lingering fear and uncertainty. In that moment, you felt the weight of his love and concern wash over you, a testament to the depth of your bond.
"Then it looks like we'll be going on missions together again," Nanami smiled at your response, a mixture of relief and understanding in his eyes. He knew that you would never give up being a jujutsu sorcerer, no matter the dangers that lay ahead.
The room fell into a hushed silence, the air thick with the weight of unspoken emotions. Nanami's eyes bore into yours, their depths filled with a tenderness that took your breath away.
"I love you," he whispered, the words hanging in the air between you, a confession of his deepest feelings.
You felt your heart swell with warmth at his declaration, a surge of emotion flooding through you. Before you could respond, Nanami leaned in closer, his lips brushing against yours in a soft, tender kiss.
In that moment, time seemed to stand still as you melted into the sweetness of his embrace, the world fading away as you lost yourself in the warmth of his love.
"What the hell," Satoru exclaimed, his surprise mirroring that of the students behind him. As you and Nanami quickly pulled away from the kiss, a flush of embarrassment crept up your cheeks.
Nobara, grinning triumphantly, spoke up, "I knew it, they were so dating! You owe me 20 bucks, Yuji."
Yuji's eyes widened in surprise, "What? But how did you know?"
Nobara shrugged, "It was obvious. Just look at them."
"To be fair, we weren't," you admitted, a hint of amusement in your voice, "but..." You glanced at Nanami, a soft smile playing on your lips.
Nanami nodded in agreement, his expression composed as ever. "But now we are," he stated matter-of-factly, his monotone voice betraying none of the emotions that flickered in his eyes.
The room fell into a hushed silence, the students exchanging surprised glances at the unexpected turn of events.
"You got your lunch?" you asked, grabbing the keys to the car. Nanami's hands wrapped around your waist, pulling you close before giving you a long, affectionate kiss.
"Of course I do," he replied, a soft smile playing on his lips.
It was safe to say that the students weren't really used to seeing the once solemn, monotoned Nanami being all lovey-dovey. But that had changed, all because of you. Your presence had brought a warmth and lightness to his life that had been absent before, and he was grateful for it every day.

Watermelon and Willow Trees
Nanami Kento

The Sunday evening sun illuminated the kitchen around you. The flowers Nanami brought you two days ago soaking in their needed warmth as they continued to thrive. The sound of the kitchen knife hitting the cutting board after each slice of the juice filled watermelon in your hands. While everything was already packed for the date, cutting the watermelon last so your daughters can enjoy while it while it was still fresh.
Laughter can be heard just in the other room coming from your husband. And the giggles of your two daughters warm your heart. Nanami had discovered that if he plays the act of a monster who threatens to eat children’s clothing his two daughters would oblige in getting dressed. Making the duty for Nanami as smooth and enjoyable for all of them. And of course as well for you.
As you come about finishing cutting the watermelon, the touch of two large hands wrap around your waist. Nanami places a kiss just close behind your left temple.
‘Still unable to perfect the art of perfectly squared cut watermelon can you love?’
Nanami loves to tease you about your inability in cutting up fruit, always being cut in awkwardly shapes. And hasn’t let that go the very first time you two had a picnic date years ago.
Dramatically sighing and turning around to face him, wrapping your own arms around his shoulders looking up at him.
‘Just be happy I feed your children Nanami’ as if to reach to kiss him on the lips, you stop centimeters away from him.
‘And for that, you’ll have to earn my kiss by cutting up the rest of the watermelon for us’ you smiled up at him before quickly sneaking away from his grasp as he was still expecting your kiss.
-
The giggles of you and your daughters are music to Nanami’s ears as he watches you all enjoy the flavorful watermelon. His youngest walking up to him with a piece of watermelon in her hands, obviously one of yours from earlier. Nanami gently pulled her to pick her up and setting her on his lap before her hand made her way to his mouth feeding it to him.
Nanami took notice of the remaining pieces left. One of yours and one of his. Before they were consumed by each of his daughters and getting up again to run around the field.
‘Seems like even out of your womb their love for watermelon still stays strong’ his hand reaches over to you as you get comfortable enough to lay by his side.
‘Of course they would, you kept shoving watermelon down my throat during my pregnancy Nanami’ looking up at him with playful glaring eyes.
‘How could I not, I had to keep my babies well fed. Plus even after the pregnancy you insisted in buying more. And don’t think I didn’t notice your awkwardly cut stored pieces in our fridge.’ You felt the vibration of his chuckles just above your head.
‘Yeah yeah whatever’
Nanami looked down at you seeing as your eyes close he leans down to place a kiss on your forehead before looking back up as he watches his children play just before him.
-
Thought of this while I awkwardly cut my watermelon today while listening to Laufey.

In Another Life pt. 2
Nanami Kento
synopsis : As Nanami catches a glimpse of you entering Saturo's vehicle, he sets the remaining time he has left of his break to track you down. Leaving Kuina high and dry.
(Visuals will be linked, click the underlined links!)
Kento knew his stare was burning into the back of Saturo's head. The palm of his hand almost crushing his phone as his eyes follows the car you were in drive out of his view. Nanami's mind going all over places as to why suddenly you knew of Saturo, his colleague that resides on the other side of the building. He could feel his body go full overdrive with heatwaves engulfing him whole.
Have you been seeing Saturo? For how long? Nanami can't recall you ever being introduced to him. Hell introduced to anyone other than his other colleagues back down a few floors before being promoted.
Checking the time, Namami's lunch break is just soon to start. Grabbing his keys and blazer, Nanami only has his mind on you.
Kuina felt like such weight was lifted from her shoulders the night Nanami called her stating that you finally knew of their affair. No more sneaking around their work place to steal quick kisses from each other. Or the quick brush of their hands as they walk past each other.
She knew it was just about time she had to take matters into her own hands when she realized Nanami was still having his doubts at times when he came over to her place some late nights. But would drown them away before he realizes how morally wrong it all was with the quick acts of seduction and words she knew he wanted to hear.
Kuina also knew that some at the office had caught wind to what was happening between them, sparking immediate gossip. Though she could care less. Her act to play innocent stood still until one bore of a day did a fellow colleague of hers, Nina, vaguely asked her about it. She was impressed at Kuina's boldness. As she detailed about the affair left Nina the thrill for more, every ounce of moral leaving her body for just some juicy intel. Sparking a vile bond between the two.
It was Nina's idea to be the one who "so called" exposes the both of them. Seeking more thrill from her already boring life. She couldn't care less at the fact she's contributing to destroying another woman's marriage. For if she was in Kuina's place she would have totally also gladly seek out the handsome man like Nanami was, married or not.
So as Nina found herself with nothing to do after finishing her own pile of work whilst there was a meeting consisting the majority of the staff to be locked away in a conference room, she found herself making her way to Nanami's office doors with vile intent.
It was just like any other time she had to drop things over for Nanami. Except this time she planned to snoop around for anything on his wife.
When Nina brought up her idea to Kuina, she was impressed by Nina's erratic effort. Like having done her dirty work for her.
Kuina had many failed attempts to get a glimpse of Nanami's phone when it was unlocked. Each time she would get close, the sound of Nanami's footsteps could be heard indicating his return from being out the room.
Kuina finally thought her schemes could be put to rest now having the thing she sought after the most after months. Nanami.
So she couldn't understand why just as she came back from picking up food for the both of them and eat lunch together as she had planned and he promised, did Nanami walk past her without glancing her way.
_
The ride to the clinic was short but helpful. If it weren’t for Gojo’s kindness in helping you out, you’d definitely be late to your appointment. And being late to things was something you obtained from Nanami.
While the ride was short, Gojo was thoughtful to remove his blazer and storing it the trunk of his car. To help minimize the aroma of his cologne and was also considerate to roll his windows down just for you.
“So if I may ask, is everything alright? You aren’t sick are you? I honestly didn’t expect you to say you needed to be dropped off at a clinics office” Gojo had ask you, you smile over at him taking glances at the man.
“Well I hope to find everything alright soon enough after my checkup,” you say while turning back to face the window watching as you get close to your said destination.
“You know (Y/N)… I know this may be sudden but,” Gojo turns his head to look at you, still looking out the window. He takes note of the way your hair flows with the wind and how your eyelashes flutter each time you blink. He was in total awe.
“I was wondering if by chance you’d like to grab lunch sometime?” Gojo’s voice wavers just for a second until he turns to look back at the road, awaiting your response in hope you’d consider his offer. The moment of silence causes his hope to falter though.
In any other instance that you were to be invited to lunch with a man who looked as handsome as Gojo does, you’d be in total giddiness.
But in your current state you pitied yourself. If what is portrayed in media is true, Gojo will probably see you as a waste of time once he knew you were with child with another man.
“Gojo…” the tone of your voice makes him mentally prepare for the rejection to come “I would love to but I can’t at the moment.” You hands play with the hem of your shirt trying to not look at him because of the embarrassment of your forced rejection.
“It’s alright (Y/N), I can understand why,” Gojo exclaims reassuring you that it’s fine. In which you were grateful for.
Come to think of it, though you had reluctantly declined his offer earlier to take you wherever you needed to go, and clearly ended up accepting.
I can already hear the lecture Nanami will give me for getting into a car of practically a stranger.
Well, would have gave you.
Seeing the clinic come into view you take one last glance at Gojo, knowing it’ll probably be the last time you’ll see the man.
As he pulls into the parking lot of the clinic, Gojo takes notice at the fact it was not a regular doctors clinic. Planned Parenthood in front of him.
Noticing the silence that consumed the car you knew Gojo had seen it. Before finally breaking the awkward silence, Gojo’s words fill the silence first.
“I hope we can see each other again (Y/N),” his voice is as soft as a feather “if you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask me.”
He wanted you asked right in that moment. For though he had just met you a sudden void that once was empty inside of him felt an urge to protect you.
You eyes slightly open in shock at the offer. You were preparing for Gojo to send you off with judgement being the last thing you saw on his face.
Instead you were met with the look of gentleness in his eyes casted down on you.
-
Nanami returned to his office building with a distressed expression. He was fifteen minutes past his break. Coming back into his office, he saw Kuina there waiting for him. An annoyed look by him did not go unnoticed to her.
“Where did you go Nanami, you had promised me we’d eat together today! Now your food is all cold.” Kuina pouted at him with her arms crossed.
She expected him to walk over to her and apologize. It’s the least he can do
Looking over at her with a look on his face that he could care less. Not wanting to be bothered he dismisses her voice while walking back behind his desk preparing to finish all the tasks at hand.
Kuina gave him a questioning look before dramatically walking her way out of his office.
For him, nine pm could not come faster enough.
He needed to go home to you.
-
After coming home from your checkup, you made it your priority to get your personal belongings in order. Nanami hasn’t bothered to come back to your shared home for quite sometime. And if he does, he does so knowing you aren’t home.
So hearing the front door practically slam open you’re startled from your train of thought in the process of packing your belongings trying to get a head start knowing in just days you’ll be hearing back from the owner of an apartment you looked into.
Nanami’s footsteps were storming in the direction of your once shared bedroom, the door opening to his tall frame coming into your view. Uncertain of his behavior and unsure of what was going on, standing up you’re facing him just feet away.
“How do you know Saturo Gojo? Why were your with him?” Nanami’s sudden outburst of questions leave you almost confused.
“Nanami what the hell-,” you start but he just slowly started to make his way towards you, causing you to back away.
You have never seen him act this way. You didn’t even once think he could.
“Were you seeing him while we were together?” The question almost makes your heartbreak as if it was possible for the second time. He was accusing you of infidelity.
“What? No!” You wanted to explain but you felt it was no use. The man you once loved looked as if he was no longer there.
“Nanami, what has gotten into you?” Tearing forming in your eyes, you hands cover you mouth holding in your cries.
“I saw you with him today (Y/N), you had no business in getting into another man’s car when you’re a married woman!”
“Married? Nanami you were the one who went behind my back in having an affair with your coworker!” As he gets closer you get a faint smell of alcohol.
“Nanami, are you drinking again?” The questions stayed unanswered as he finally made his way to you, trying to make your way out the door you felt his hands harshly grab yours. You were scared. You knew he would never harm. You knew he couldn’t.
But as his grasp only tightened your hands desperately try to fight him off, but to no avail.
“Nanami please, let go of me!” Tears are really falling from your eyes now.
Can this truly be the man who you once talked about raising a family together someday? The man who promised you to fulfilled your dream in becoming a loving mother with him by your side?
Hands still desperately trying to push him away you began to get restless.
“Nanami let go of me,” with a look of despair in your face looking up at him “…please. I’m pregnant.”
He swore he saw your mothers eyes in yours.
Please promise to take care of my daughter Kento
-
10:15 pm
Gojo’s eyes kept looking over to you, and then your wrists. They were slightly bruised from what he can tell. Holding yourself, your body language was frail and tired.
He answered your call at the third ring, your shaky and low toned voice were the only thing that he needed to hear for him to get up frantically from his bed and make his way to you. And he wasted absolutely no time.
Now that’s where you find yourself. Laying on the man you had just met that same day bed. And though you were beyond grateful Gojo was there for you in a heartbeat, you feel completely and utterly alone. With family scattered throughout the country, and a life growing inside of you. You couldn’t just pull insane amount of savings you had accumulated for yourself. All the next choices you were going to face all trickle down on how the it’ll affect the baby inside of you.
The baby.
Memories of when you and your mother flood your mind. The way she always mentioned she couldn’t wait for the day she has her first grandchild. How your baby will have her unconditional love.
For her baby to have a baby.
Though your heart ached your body was incapable of any more tears. Just sniffles consumes the tall ceilings of Saturo’s bedroom. Letting them faintly echo towards the living room where Gojo does not catch an ounce of rest checking in on your every twenty some minutes for his own peace of mind.
-
‘(y/n)….(y/n)’
Your eyes flutter open to be met with your mothers.
‘Mom?’ you find yourself in a bed of grass. The moonlight shining bright upon you, tall trees with wind calmly brush through leaves.
‘(Y/N), I’ve been waiting for you my love.’
A sudden wave of nostalgia fills you. ‘Is this real?’
The sound of your moms soft laughter fills your ears.
‘As real as I’m allowed to’
The angst in your voice causes it to crack as you dream about feeling your mothers touch again.
You can see your mothers face change as she senses your sadness.
‘(Y/N), what’s wrong my dear?’
‘I’m sorry, mommy I didn’t mean to disappoint you’
The events you experienced earlier flood back into your mind, it was everything that your mother feared and hoped you never found yourself in.
‘Oh sweetie you didn’t, you were everything I ever wanted you to be. I looked over you handle everything with grace’
Her hand went up to wipe away your tears. But the phantom feeling never came.
‘In another life,’ your mothers voice getting noticeably further ‘I’d be there ever step of the way with you. In this one, I’ll be looking over you’
Gojo’s hand hovers over his door handle, hearing your faint cries longing to comfort you.

Away From Harm
Gojo • Nanami • Choso • Sukuna • Toji
How I picture the jjk men comforting you? Saving you?
With visuals! Click underlined links!
-
Gojo Saturo

Gojos instincts overall would be at an ultimate high to keep you from harms way. But in moments when he couldn’t, he’d immediately finish any and all curses that dared harm you in his presence. Before rushing to your side, Gojo makes sure nothing will try to get in his way again. With a stern concern plastered on his face, he gently scoops you into his arms looking at your delicate face as your eyes flutter so slightly murmuring his name. Gojo only reassures you that your safe now that he has you back in his arms.
Nanami Kento

Nanami would absolutely dread being assigned to missions with you. He hates if you were harmed in his presence and god forbid he can’t protect you or save you in time. So when the two of you are separated because of a curse luring you both away from each other, his instincts kicks in when realizing you were no longer by his side. Becoming absolutely feral, he puts an end to any and all curses play looking everywhere for you. Before coming into contact with you, he always inspects your body for any harm and injury before helping you up on your feet whilst reassuring he’s got you back with him and nothing ain’t gonna hurt you no more.
Choso Kamo

Choso absolutely refuses to let you get harmed while in his presence. He could be fighting his opponents and at the same time have his instincts be on high alert on you. Each time he notices his opponent set their eyes on you he would see red knowing their intentions are to harm you thinking that would cause him to slip up. And with that, he never lets his opponent even touch you. Choso will always be there to catch you even if you happen to fall in the slightest in his presence.
Toji Fushiguro

Toji will always get the job done first. That’s just how he is. He would be annoyed that his opponent managed to get near you and he would quickly draw them away creating distance from preventing you in being targeted again. When he finally puts an end to the fight, he walks over to you. Getting you up on your feet and towering over you inspecting your features for any signs of discomfort or pain that you may have. One hand holding you by your waist and the other caressing your cheek and lips, telling you to focus on him before assuring that you are okay. His raspy voice asking you if you felt anything broken, before taking you back down to his place.
Sukuna

Sukuna would never have you anywhere near the chaos he ensues. He knows even at times he takes things absolutely batshit crazy far. Your body cannot handle the intensity of it all. So when his raging moment of insanity dissipates and settles down, he acknowledges the state you were in. Lost in the moment, he forgets to build a shield between the both of you. Call it interlinked. You are bound to him the moment he made you his. For you to be his true one and only devoted. Your body aching, barely being able to stand on your own two feet, Sukuna catches you before making his way back to where he resides with you.

Heartbroken
Nanami Kento • Toji Fushiguro • Gojo Saturo ( Separate posts )
How I envision the three men would break your heart
Visuals will be linked, please check them out!
Nanami Kento
( let’s pretend he’s 21 bc I just can’t picture him ever cheating at his big age!!)

You had told Nanami you would be gone for the majority of the day with your friend unsure of what time you would make it back. Though you had planned this day with your friend for quite sometime you had felt guilty that you didn’t make time for Nanami, surprisingly he had the day off as well. You were a little saddened as to why he didn’t feel the need to tell you but he reassured you that you’d just enjoy the beautiful day you two had woken up to.
Though the respected careers that the both of you have, you’ve noticed it had managed to make a wedge between the two of you.
Not wanting to get your hopes up, you tried to mentally promise yourself you could try to make it back to Nanami’s place just before 7pm that day and spend the remainder of the late afternoon with your love.
That is what you hoped.
You had asked your friend to drop you off at Nanami’s instead of your place. With not many shopping bags with you, you didn’t feel the need to go back to yours. You saved as much energy for the remainder of the day. Though in mind, hoping to see Nanami and surprise him once again just to probably lay in each others arms had kept you pretty content.
What you had at expect was to find Nanami being folded by another woman.
Candles warmly illuminating the living room, whilst soft music could be heard just mere inches away in Nanami’s record player.
The record player that you gifted him over a year ago. The candles you had gotten him when you were out shopping at home decors.
Have the both of you been so caught up in your work life you never noticed he must have been going behind your back in secrecy.
But never in a million years would you think that the man you loved, Nanami Kento cheat on you.
Not wasting another breath your own feet seem to guide you because the pit in your stomach would have rather you projectile in then and there.
Almost stumbling your way outside the building where Nanami resides, the rush of cold air almost made you sick
You felt your body want to reject everything that just happened.
Making your way down the street to go literally anywhere you hear him call out your name.
Shame, embarrassment and pity is all you felt when you heard him call for you. Not looking back, and your the heels of your feet in agony in the stomping unbeknownst to you while you fled.
Nanami pulls you by your left arm begging you to look at him.
Embarrassment.
Please, let me explain to you
You felt utterly disgusted at the thought of his hands ever touching someone else’s skin. Not before or after, but whilst the two of you were still together.
What could there possibly be to explain
You felt your cheeks get getting puffy already, trying to pull your arm away from his
I am sorry, I didn’t want you to find out this way
Before he could say anything else the sudden urge to punch him was enough to know it was over between you. Because there was hatred within it.
But he knew just as well as anyone you could never.
Feeling numb, your hand went up to punch him on the shoulder.
Though instead of hatred it was just a punch of pain and agony.
How could you Nanami, you had me!
Another miserable punch landed on his chest this time, tears eventually rolling down your face
The less days we had together-
No Nanami, don’t make excuses! Because not once did I ever see you differently! And especially anyone else!
The last final blows of your weak punches find their way to the collar of Nanami’s shirt so desperately trying to hold on.
All you heard was the sigh coming from his mouth. And it made you feel worthless all over again.
It’s not fair Nanami
I’m sorry…

In another life
Nanami Kento
Synopsis : You promised yourself that you wouldn’t have the same unfortunate fate that your mother had gone through with love. Until your whole world comes crumbling down discovering your husband’s infidelity. Through tears and heartbreak you recall your mothers last words.
(We all know he would never!!) (please check out link once you see it for visuals!!!)

One text message from an unsaved number. One simple message was the reason your whole world came crumbling down in just seconds.
It was vile. The photo. It seemed as if whoever took the photo was in a rush to capture it. A little blurred in some spots but you could immediately make out what it depicted.
Your husband, Nanami having his arms wrapped around a waist of another woman just steps away from his desk. Whoever the woman was, her head was slightly tilted looking up at him with a smile on her face. Arms loosely wrapped around his shoulder blades.
At a loss for words and seemingly unaware the breaths you were holding in, the sudden ache you felt in your chest was growing deeper. Tears forming just before multiple escaping your eyes.
You didn’t want to believe it, but how could you not? The moment you felt the ache in your chest you knew.
-
4 months earlier
The sounds of monitors and footsteps were faint outside the door of your mothers hospital room. The room’s television on low volume as you peel a bright colored orange.
It has been a while coming but your mothers health has been declining since the last attempt of hope with needed surgery. But unfortunately to no avail.
And as much as you wished for your mother to keep fighting she finally made the decision to leave this world in peace. No more mustering up the little strength she had left to the annoyance of appointments or the continuous failed improvements.
So you devoted your time to spend as much time with your mother as you could.
“How is Nanami doing (Y/N),” your mother asks in a soft voice while looking over to you “he hasn’t come along with you for the past 3 weeks or so. Is everything alright?”
Finally finished with peeling the orange and setting it down you smiled at her, “he’s doing fine mom, just busy at work these days. He actually got promoted up at his office job a few days ago.” You tell her with a smile on your face.
Your mother slightly gasps with joy, clasping your hands with yours she beams.
“I’m so happy to hear that, I’m sure the both of you will continue to live a nice peaceful life together. He’s a good man darling, I’ll be able to leave this world in peace knowing you’ll be well taken care of.”
You smile at her words, a pang of joy and sadness.
Your mother was a single mother raising you all on her own. Your father was in the picture up until the age 11. From then on his visits were some and then eventually no more.
Though you didn’t hate him, you grew up more focused on the fact of trying your best to be a good daughter. Not causing too much stress to your mother.
Your father was your mothers first and only love. Only as time passed by, he became unfaithful. Your mother immediately took action into trying to become the best mother she can be with the so little she had. You grew up to promise yourself you refuse to let the same happen to you. To not let this curse that your father casted upon your mother trickle down to you.
“(Y/N), do you want to know why I always called you my little star,” you mother brings up. you can tell she was growing tired some.
8:30 pm
Visiting hours will end soon.
You hum in response, smoothing out the blanket that lays just between you two.
“Because moths always look for light in the darkness. You are my light and star (Y/N). I will forever be grateful to have had you as my daughter.”
Before visiting hours came to an end your head falls onto her lap, tears streaming down as her hands strokes your hair.
-
Moths look for the light in the darkness
Everything you had planned for, promised yourself and your mother was eradicated. You wanted to scream. To make a mess of everything in this home you two shared.
But you can only frown at the thought of your mother disapproving those actions.
You had no idea what to do.
More importantly, what to do with the hidden pregnancy test you tucked away inside your side of the dresser.
Wiping your tears away, headed towards your shared room you look for the test.
You tried to recall when it must have all changed. Was it when Nanami was promoted at work that he was moved to the upper level of the office building?
You recall the first couple of times you stopped by to deliver him lunch that he had forgotten.
The atmosphere was not as welcoming as his previous position. You had felt out of place when just simply asking for your husband at the front desk.
Rummaging through your belongings looking for the damn test you heard the front door open to your apartment.
8:45 pm
Though it was somewhat late, you hadn’t expect him to arrive just yet.
You froze, not sure of anything anymore.
A part of you wanted to confront him, and the other part of you just wanted to be comforted, to be told it was a fake. Absolutely anything else other than being told it was true.
Is this the end?
Finally spotting the pregnancy test you sat down in the corner of the king size bed. Holding the pregnancy test close to you, but hidden from anyone else’s view.
You hadn’t bothered to put all the clothing that fell from your frantic digging back inside.
So when Nanami walked in your shared bedroom, it was the first thing he saw.
“What the hell happened in here?” Nanami sighed placing his briefcase aside the room.
Nanami noticed your lack on response and the fact you weren’t facing him.
“I didn’t intend to have you find out like this (Y/N),” your eyes slightly widen in shock. Nanami brought his left hand to sooth the bridge of his nose.
“I don’t know who must have sent that photo to you. And I don’t intend to let that person have the satisfaction of knowing it actually got to you. Though I do have a few people in mind.” Nanami headed towards the closet to find a more comfortable to change into.
If you didn’t think your heart was beating, his lack of empathy causes your heart to break into a million pieces.
How could he be so calm about this..
“Why Nanami,” your voice trembles, your heart beating faster than ever “what caused this to happen?”
Nanami now finally walked towards you, trying to clasp your hands into yours you refuse to budge. The test tightly protected in your hands unbeknownst to him.
Nanami sighs again with a tight stern look on his face. Knowing there’s no longer any chance you’ll be able to come back from it all.
“When your mother passed away you became a shell of yourself (Y/N). It was easy in the beginning to be there for you. But it eventually turned into mindless sex as an escape for you. I did not want to hurt your decisions into avoiding the reality of losing your mother. If you hadn’t ignored your grief,” Nanami continues while taking off his glasses and watch setting them aside, glancing at your reflection at the mirror in front of him. Your eyes finally met “perhaps I could have better helped you understand (Y/N).”
“Who is she? Is she a coworker of yours?” At Nanamis confession, you felt numb. All the anger and sadness you felt dissipated. You wanted nothing more now than to go to sleep and dream of your mom comforting you and feel her hand stroke your hair again even for a mere moment inside your unconscious mind.
“Her name is Kuina. She was employed just a month into when your mother passed,” Nanami turned around to face you, leaning against the drawer head turned slightly down, arms crossed “I didn’t think I would have ever been one to end up doing such a thing (Y/N). I’m sorry.”
‘I’m sorry’
Nanami walked out into the living room closing the door behind him.
-
“Mom are you alright?” Walking into your moms room seeing her working on paper work for your grandmother. Gathering information about her as needed for the funeral home to work on her death certificate.
Your mom looked frantic and tired. Noting the atmosphere felt different, “hey mom, where’s Karube?” Your mom looked up at you putting up a brave face.
“Karube and I are no longer together (Y/N). He and I just realized we weren’t a match really. No need to worry.”
-
Karube ended up cheating on my mother around the same time my grandmother passed away.
Not only did you fail in keeping that promise you made yourself all those years ago.
You failed your mom too.
Hearing the faint sounds of the television being turned on just outside the living room, you tried your best to muffle your cries as it all eventually settled inside of you.
‘You were my light in times of darkness’
Hugging yourself to sleep, it didn’t take long as your cries settled you down.
-
It’s been a week since everything was brought to light. And just 3 days ago you were met with a few documents settled on the main wooden table of the home.
Divorce papers
You sigh with stress laced within. You avoided even looking through everything until the night before your first appointment with your doctor.
Frantically filing everything down, deciding on stopping by Nanamis office before heading to your doctors to drop off the paperwork.
-
Your walk to Nanamis workplace wasn’t how it was before. Your gentle smiles while walking is now replaced by a neutral toned face. The warmth of the sun is no longer a lovely feeling but a sticky hot feeling all over your body.
You hated to be a burden at such a young age. That night, after Nanamis confession you held out on telling him.
Guilt swept over you as you realized how tragic it all is.
This baby wasn’t due to the love you both have for each other, at least not anymore. It’s due to your wanting to escape from your grief.
Oh how your mother would be saddened.
-
Walking up to Nanamis now private office, trying your best to keep your head held high. You noticed that some look over at you knowing the gossip that had gone around. And others who seem to not care at all. You were silently grateful for the few.
Reaching his office, you knocked twice. Looking over your shoulder to see few of his fellow colleagues quickly look away from you as if they weren’t popping their eyes at the front seat view they had.
You let yourself in once you heard an approval from the other side.
Whispers soon ensued as the door closed behind you.
Nanami was looking over paperwork at his desk, eyebrows furrowed in whatever god knows what he deals with nowadays.
“I came to drop off the divorce paper work Kento.” Stating as you walk up his desk, your soft footsteps and his quick writing with pen hitting his paper being the silence breaker between the two of you.
Nanami drops his pen on his desk and looks up at you.
The tall windows of his office gently illuminated your face, earrings softly shimmering and pieces of your hair fall front of your face framing a delicate balance to your face.
‘You became a shell of yourself’
You didn’t try to improve your appearance just for him. Matter of fact you did it for yourself. You refused to let his words eat your self conscious.
Plus, your mother always told you how important it is to be presentable to the public. Not for the approval of others but for your own self.
Handing him the folder, your hands softly brush against each others.
Keeping your calm composure, you stood straight ready to turn around and leave.
“(Y/N)-“ Nanami starts but you had cut him off.
“I plan to leave the apartment soon Kento. If approved in just days time, you need not worry about me being in that place anymore,” you ushered as to turn around once again “have a good day Kento.”
Pushing his office doors to open and leave this place once and for all, you open the doors to Kuina waiting just outside the doors.
You should have known his office colleagues were just as wanting to know what must have been discussed behind the closed doors.
As your eyes met Kuina’s, all you had left in you was a smile.
Just as the doors of his office completely closed, Nanami caught a glance at the exchange.
Deep down inside he knew he had caused enough pain when all you did was smile at her.
-
As the elevator descends to the lower floors of the building it stopped just below the floor that Nanami once was.
As people come in and go, a tall man with white hair and circular dark navy shades shuffled his way to your side as the elevator doors close descending back down once again.
Wood scents, with a note of eucalyptus
You’re familiar with this scent of the man standing next to you. It’s nothing new. Besides you’re fond of the scent. Nothing extreme from what you’ve come across before. Men and their obnoxious amount of sprays.
So you weren’t so sure as to why the man’s scent next to you caused you to almost gag out loud inside the cramp elevator.
Catching your action swiftly your hand goes up to cover your mouth, catching the attention of the tall white haired man.
Looking down at you he asks “you alright miss?”
The elevator finally opens to the first floor and you quickly nod as you try to quickly get out.
“Woah I’m sorry! Was it my doing? Do I smell bad today?” The man looks in disbelief and quite embarrassed.
“No no no,” you try to apologize for your actions “it was actually just me! Im sensitive to smells at the moment.” You tried to explain in embarrassment.
As people continue to pass by the man shyly smile at you, his cheeks turned slightly blushed.
“I apologize then Miss…” he trails off, smiling back once again you introduced yourself “(Y/N) (L/N).”
“Nice to meet you (L/N), I’m Gojo Satoru.”
12:44 pm
My appointment is soon, but almost gagging earlier has given me anxiety. What if I can’t make it in time?
It was like if the man you just met sense your urgency and asked if things are alright.
“Oh thank you for the offer, but I’m fine I can go on my own!” You exclaimed as you start to walk towards the front entrance.
The white haired man caught up to you once again before beaming at you with a flashy smile of his
“No worries (L/N), I don’t mind!”
Looking down at the time you realized perhaps it would be best. You were anxious all week once you made your appointment for the doctors.
Looking around your surroundings before finally agreeing, you smiled back up at him thanking him.
You thought you’d follow him to the parking structure but his car was pulled up by the valet.
As the valet driver approached to open your door, Gojo reassured him letting himself open the door for you. Thanking him before settling inside his car, he was walking over to the drivers side.
Gojo looked up feeling a stare burn behind him, before driving away.

Devotion Nanami Kento
Synopsis : Dreaming of your late father, you realized visiting his grave shouldn’t feel like chore nor burden. You change the way you view visiting his grave with the simple pleasures of a bakery that’s right next door to the flower shop.
(This is a bit long, please bear with me)

-
To say you had been woken up due to the early sun beaming through your blinds would be an understatement. Unfortunately this morning you were woken up due to a cold sweat, seeming to gasp for air at the same time.
It has been 5 months since the day you lost your father. And just in 7 days, it’ll be the 6th month mark. The thought of another month since his passing caused you to drown yourself in the comfort of your blankets, trying to block the sun from bothering you anymore along with the rest of your problems.
Hoping to rest just a while longer was cut short to your phone ringing somewhere alongside you. Desperately trying to find the device to put an end to the loud disturbance you answered the phone while mustering the strength to get out of bed.
“Hello?”
“(Y/N) sweetie, how are you?” It was the soothing voice of your mother on the other end.
“Hi mom, I just woke up not long ago actually. If it weren’t for your call right now I would still be rotting in bed.” Your mom let out a soft laugh, causing you to smile.
“Well I’m glad I was of help this early in the morning my love, I just wanted to call you and check up. It doesn’t seem to get any easier for me to make it non awkward for us.” You sighed just lightly hoping your mom didn’t catch.
“6 months soon and I still can’t seem to get it right can I, (Y/N)?” You hum in response to your mom.
“It’s nothing to worry about mom, I’m an adult now. If I were a child I think fathers whole passing would have been a whole different story for us.” You respond calmly while making your way to the kitchen.
Your parents divorced when you were a child. Being raised by a single mother and only seeing your father on the weekends growing up. Most young kids tended to favor the father more but seeing your mother struggle to make ends meet made you see things differently at a young age. Especially once you were understanding of the situation was when your mother told you the truth. Your father was unfaithful to your mother.
“Plan on doing anything special this time around (Y/N)?” Your mother asks as you pour yourself a cup of tea. You paused. ‘Should I tell her?’
Since your fathers passing, you couldn’t really make out what to think about it. Of course you were sad. But ultimately each time you actually sat down and thought about it, you felt nothing. Like a void that was not empty nor full. In the beginning your mother was concerned, causing her to have her own doubts if she had done the right thing years ago in opening up to you about the truth.
But you had reassured her multiple times in the past that even before being revealed to the truth that your relationship with your father was strained. Something you also couldn’t pinpoint as to why. So there was no need to worry she failed to protect you and your relationship with your father.
“I dreamt about him last night mom.” You replied in a hushed tone while sitting down on your small circular wooden table.
“It was a short dream. Though it felt so real. I couldn’t make him out in the beginning but once I realized it was him I broke down. He was two other little kids alongside with him. They were both girls. One at least two years old and another eleven years old,” you started to feel hot tears forming in your eyes “it felt so real mom. I don’t know where people go once they pass but if that was a sign that he’s doing alright I’ll go along with that.” Tears started to stream down your face, your left hand holding your phone up to your ear and your right clutching your chest.
“Well it’s a possibility that could be true my love. When your father passed I liked to think he’s with your older sister sometimes too.”
Your mothers response made you smile, wiping away your tears you let out a small laugh.
“Do you think the younger child must be another’s lovers child?” You respond with a witty tone that makes the both of you laugh.
“Sometimes I wonder how serious and unserious you can be at times (Y/N)” you mother says while calming down.
“You should visit him more often (Y/N).”
Walking back towards your room, leaving the forgotten tea you had make earlier and walking towards your bedroom window to open and let fresh mourning air in you hum in response, “I’ll try my best mom.”
“I forgave your father a long time ago (Y/N), I hope you can as well someday.” Looking over at your clock,
9:35am
“Thank you mom, for everything.” You knew your smile could be felt on the other end for your mother, “I love you so much (Y/N) I’ll try my best to visit you soon, try to have a productive day today!”
After ending the call with your mom, you promised her you would. Starting with making your bed.
-
11:40am
Locking your apartment door behind you and putting your keys in your bag you walked down towards the entrance of your apartment building.
The sunny weather felt like a warm blanket as you walk down the street while soft breezes pass you. You don’t live far from the city’s downtown where all the restaurants, shops and livelihood are.
After the phone call with your mother you had a moment thinking of what she had told you.
I forgave your father a long time ago
The feeling of guilt almost entirely overcame you until you had promised your mother you’d have a productive day.
And you knew deep down inside your father wouldn’t want you rotting away in bed and be a lazy person ignoring their problems.
With almost nothing to do on your day off you decided to visit your fathers grave while the weather is still warm.
You almost never visit your fathers grave, and if you do it always been less than shamelessly 15 minutes.
Shaking away your thoughts as you come closer to the flower shop, the smell of freshly baked goods seem to get closer. Looking past the flower shop, you see an entrance to what seemed to be a small tucked away bakery. You hadn’t noticed until now that there was such a place.
Granted when you stop by the flower shop it was always a swift stop as you tend to always wish to get visiting his grave over as quickly as possible.
Looking down at the time,
12:02pm
It was still early in the day, plus being eager to get about your day you forgot to bring a water bottle with you, you couldn’t see why not stopping for a quick refreshment at the bakery.
-
Walking inside, you were immediately greeted by the smell of the warm sweet treats and the friendly atmosphere. Not too busy but just a little tight for your liking.
Perhaps next time I can plan to take some baked goods with me to the gravesite
Walking up to the counter you order a cup of lemonade and requested a small cup of water to accompany.
Deciding to enjoy and bask in the smell of the bakery you sat down in the nearest small table in front of the window, sipping on your refreshments as well as just looking out the bakery’s window watching as life goes by.
The bakery’s peace was at a mellow stance until your thoughts were interrupted by the doors bell ding, and steady footsteps being heard ushering towards the front.
You looked over to see a tall frame in a dark mocha colored suit sort of frantically trying to get his order in as fast as possible.
Not wanting to seem so curious you look back towards the window, unbeknownst in looking at the man’s reflection.
Tall, blond, fit, nice looking suit. He must be a businessman.
As the man turns around to wait for his order to be ready at the other end of the counter, he slightly leaned back checking his watch in haste, sighed in what seemed of exhaustion, quickly looked up while still waiting
His eyes met yours in the reflection of the window.
Caught, you felt your ears get hot and you looked away from the reflection of his eyes. Looking down, anywhere but back at his.
Trying to smoothly drink quickly the remainder of your beverages left, you got up and quickly thanked the staff before heading out.
As you walked past the window you were looking out of just now you tried your best to not look back in again to see if the tall man was still there. Filled with blush and embarrassment you quickly opened the door to the flower shop.
-
“Yes those are beautiful, I’ll take just a small bouquet of those daisies please.” Smiling at the older lady, and as she starts to make her way towards the back to prepare the bouquet your steps head towards the display of all the other flowers the shop had displayed.
Nothing it was just yourself in the shop you noticed how quiet it was inside, the faint sounds of the scissors being put to work in trimming your bouquet.
Deep in thought of the beautiful colors the flowers came in you hadn’t notice that another person walked into the shop.
“Tiger flowers, vibrant as can be around this time around,” the soft voice of a man says behind you.
Taken out of your thoughts, you look up quickly seeing the reflection of the green tinted windows of the flower shop you see the man from the bakery behind you.
Swiftly turning around to meet the man’s eyes you could feel your whole face feel hot, unsure to smile or apologize for earlier at the bakery.
Looking at him closer, you note his features. His strong facial expressions, his circler metal glasses, and his lips.
Does this man have a permanent frown? He’d be totally more inviting if he didn’t..
Pushing your thoughts away you smiled at the man, agreeing with him.
“Yeah, the vibrant colors are beautiful.” You responded, not sure on how this conversation would go.
Before more words can be said the flower shop employee had just finished your bouquet of flowers you requested.
“Miss (L/N), I got your bouquet all nice and ready!”
In the beginning of the your fathers passing, you had frequent here at the flower shop, and you explained as to why you were buying flowers in the first place to the elderly worker. She didn’t pry but she had vaguely mentioned how certain flowers have different meanings. You can recall how generous she was and how she took care into making your bouquets.
Looking back at the counter you smiled back at her and headed towards her, ready to make your purchase. Not before giving one last smile towards the man.
As you pull out your wallet, you hear the lady greet the man.
“Oh Kento! It is nice to see you again! How are you? Looking at different flowers today? I can assure you those Tiger Flowers can last up to two weeks!”
The man’s footsteps can be heard walking towards the both of you.
“Thank you Mrs. Ua, but I intend to buy white roses this time.” The man now standing next to you stands tall and firm, so tall he’s looking down at the elderly lady.
“Oh well Kento, I’ll just have to keep hoping both of your two’s healing journey will show you how other flowers can look just as lovely placed onto headstones!”
Slightly shocked at her response, you looked up at the man
So he’s visiting someone too? I figured he was probably coming in to buy his significant other flowers
“I’m sure soon enough we can Mrs. Ua,” Kento responded whilst looking down at your bouquet that was placed gently on the counter, “Mrs. Ua, actually I’ll go ahead and change the white roses to daisies as well. And you can go ahead and allow me to pay for this woman’s bouquet as well.”
How many times am I going to keep being heating up because of this man?
Trying to calm yourself down, you quickly object.
“Oh! Oh no, please it’s totally fine! You don’t have to!”Blushing furiously now the man looks down at you, slightly smiling.
“Please, allow me to. It would certainly brighten up my day.”
An excited coo can be heard from Mrs. Ua
-
Had you ever think that you’d be walking now alongside a man you had just met less than 30 minutes ago. No.
Whilst Mrs. Ua was preparing his bouquet small talk had to ensue. If it hadn’t been for the man you had learned name was Kento, he was the first to start.
“Are you headed to visit a love one as well?” He asked you while leaning on the flower shops counter this time, whilst you still faced towards the back. Once again the faint hearing the faint scissors at work.
“Yes, I am. I am planning to visit my late father today,” your heard turns toward the man, slight tilting your head up to look at him, “are you doing the same?”
The blonde man looks down at you quickly before looking away again, facing the shops display of flowers.
“Yes I am, except I plan to visit my friend.” Smiling at him, “as sad as the circumstances may be, it’s nice to meet you-,” before you could say his name, he then finally introduced himself.
“Kento Nanami.” He looked down at you once again.
“(L/N) (Y/N),” you smiled at him, “it’s nice to meet you Kento Nanami,” with a beaming smile.

I honestly have no idea where this is going. I started at 1 am, I’m pausing at almost 4 am. Please forgive me!! Also this blog is so old. I am no longer 19 anymore but 21. I hope to get back into writing.
I would love to hear feedback and suggestions to continue this little plot!

Nothing like staying up all night and creating unrealistic scenarios in my head.

Just imaging Toji finding himself trying to stay hidden from you as he watches you and your s/o hold your daughters hand all walking side by side. And Toji just remembering his life with you before leaving the Zenin clan, his late wife, before leaving you. Even though he would be sad at the thought, but would love the sight of you after so many years.
And the plot twist? You still wearing the necklace Toji gifted you.
“Seems like you figured it out huh y/n”, Toji grimaced. It’s not like he didn’t want to have a future with you. He just couldn’t see it back then.
Yet watching you now...
“Dad? Do you know them?” Megumi asked with a bored expression.
“Yeah, that should’ve been your mom,” Toji chuckled.
Megumi deadpanned. Granted, Megumi never met his biological mother, it didn’t bother him. “C’mon let’s go.”
Before turning around Megumi took one last glance at the woman.
“It’s her, it has to be.”
-
Trying ever so quietly, Megumi snuck into Tojis closet. Before taking a moment to pause his movements and check if his father was nearby.
Successfully opening the hidden compartment his father had just beneath where he placed his shoes.
Megumi small hands reached for the black sketch book. Quickly skimming through the pages.
Before finally spotting it.
“It was her.”
-
“I hope we can all work well together.”
Megumi studied the girl from a distance standing behind everyone.
Megumi was a smart kid with excellent memory. It didn’t take much to put two and two together seeing the same necklace he saw so many years ago clasped around the new girl.
How could he not? Megumi would never admit it to his father but, he’ll take any piece of crumb his father would offer to get to know him visually or verbally. Past and present.

Dt Zaria ; @leviiattacks
I hope this post doesn’t come out of a unexpected surprise Zaria. But I hope whatever time and place you are reading this, that it brings some sort of comfort.
Instead of bringing up your current state of place, I want to appreciate you. And I’m sure I’m not alone. Your writing has probably across the globe, maybe even gained a huge following for many who also found comfort in yours.
From every single short writings and series, thank you for letting our imaginations roam with your writing.
I don’t know what you believe, or what you choose to let in by others. Yet I hope you’ll always remember you have people rooting for you. Job wise, education wise, writing wise, etc.
Please always remember that! Good luck Zaria.
- Sincerely from a devoted reader of yours, Nat

Tonight’s bed scenario is Levi finding your long written letter explaining yourself for your betrayal to Paradis after exposing your mission along with Reiner and Bertholdt.
Trying to reassure him everything between you and him was real. But instead of feeling anger, sadness consumes him seeing a pair of new born slippers along with your letter.
After returning to Marley, Reiner being a caring friend, saves you from banishment of carrying a island devils child. Successfully manipulating the people around you.
But throughout the years Reiner developed feelings for you knowingly he’ll never truly belong in a family that would never be his.
Pretending to be the father roll for the sake of you and your child.

This was so rushed. But this little scenario kind of gave me motivation to write something at least. Lol🐛 (once I get a new computer I promise I’m gonna write again ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ )
