This is just a super quick build recolour set to tide me over until the S4S batch fix is ready, because I hate EA’s “white” swatches. I will generally recolour any EA meshes I like with brighter white swatches and thought I’d share them with you guys in case you might want to use these too for the meantime. These are all EA mesh recolours, so they’re not affected by the update like CC is.

Country Crafter - Nifty Knitting-Inspired Buildmode Set

A brand new year, and a brand new set of buildmode items to share. Nifty Knitting was one of the more enjoyable SPs to come out in recent memory, and also a treasure trove of content ripe for expansion. I started this while working on the Buymode Addon but was set back when I decided to add more colours to the set which required me remaking all the package files and generating all the new textures. But it’s done now and I think it helps fill the void for those looking for a more classic but simple window set who don’t have the similar Quaint Cottage Set I made for Get Famous. This will work outside of the Pack and stands on it’s own as a great versatile set. I also went overboard with the number of door variations, but I don’t care LOL

Sims 4 - De Fil en Aiguille

So, here is the small house I made using the items from Nifty Knitting! And while we’re at it, I’ll give you my thoughts on this new SP.

Let’s start with the Build/Buy content : there is some nice items, but unfortunatly, I think it will be hard for me to use them, because of the color options. It’s way too colorful (even on the black or white swatches, for some items), with lots of cute drawing or pattern. It’s fine for some houses, but we need more neutral options, without different colors everywhere. Maybe some wood swatches, but less saturated than the current ones.

And of course, since I always build with the debug items unlocked, my catalog is even more cluttered because each color of each objects appears as a separate entry (same as the stuff you can craft with Eco Living).

The CAS content is okay. I just wish men’s hairstyles weren’t so voluminous! For the clothing, well, that was the community vote, and there is some nice stuff, but did we really need yet another crop top with floral patterns?

For the gameplay, well, it’s fine for a Stuff Pack. It’s not only a new skill, but a lot of little things (kids can knit too, you can mentor sims and there is a specific animation, a new aspiration, Plopsy, the rocking chair, the sweater curse…). But I don’t play that much in Live mode (if you want to know why), so maybe I’m not the best person to talk to about it.

Voilà, that’s all for me. Thanks to the EA Game Changers program for giving me early access to this SP.

Now about the house, I don’t have much to say, I built it for a grandmother who would live here with her grandson. I hope you like it!

#Vixshella3 shell challenge build

My submission for the #vixshella3 shell challenge! I usually don't build backyards like this but I think this turned out really well.

The family who lives here like things to be clean and simple. The 1st floor has a colour scheme of black and red combined with warm wood. The master bedroom is painted blue and it has a nice seating area in front of a fireplace. A nursery is located next to the master bedroom, ready for the newest addition to the family 👶. The final bedroom is decorated with bright yellow and it's a perfect room for twins. What really attracted the current residents to this house was the skylight above the second floor landing.

PYSZNY’S BACK TO RETRO SOFA SET - recolour by amoebae

I have recoloured Pyszny’s Back To Retro sofas (3 seater & loveseat) in 48 Image Spectra colours. There are 2 versions: 1 with dark brown wood and 1 with whitewashed wood. I have smoothed the wood texture to make it more maxis match than in the original, and also edited the specular so it doesn’t suffer from the awkward outdoor shine of the original either.

These sofas were converted by @mio-sims, whose TOU allows for the mesh to be included, so you don’t need to download anything else. You can have 1 or all of these sofas in your game at once.
