exp33 spoilers because i can't stop yapping about this game
i know this must have been said many times, but i just can't get over aline painting a version of her family where her son is alive, but still leaving all the burn scars and injuries on her young teenage daughter. and according to said daughter, it is because her mother blames her for the accident. like..... what the fuck. i too would force the suicidal ghost of my brother to live forever in our made-up little world if that was my life.
which makes renoir being the main antagonistic force in act 3 all the more tragic. he might be somewhat paternalistic and controlling, but ultimately the reason for his role is that he's pretty much the only one who actually seems to care about his younger daughter.
i am so fucking fine and normal about this game you guys.
