What do you think of Halsin and Shadowheart as a perfect couple?

Oh good Question! I actually ship them (especially after seeing some of the artwork @naariel did of them)

Maybe some people already said it better but I'll share a few sentences.

For me it is a lovestory that would not work in most other circumstances. As others already pointed out: Shar is the reason for the Shadowcurse, Halsin suffered from it for over hundred years.

They should hate each other. But now they must work together for a shared goal. And they grow, Shadowheart leaves Shar and Halsin sees the Shadowcurse lifted.

This both happens at the end of Act 2. And imo it makes the confession in Act 3 even sweeter. Both are free from the things that overshadowed (heh) their whole being for so long. And now there are so many possibilities: A possibility for love. For growth and for caring for someone they would have never considered before, so very deeply.

And the ending I love for Shadowheart aligns so very beautifully with Halsins: Shadowheart as a cottagcore girlie.

I can imagine her having the time of her life with a shitton of animals and plants, just living her life to the fullest. Building a new place, a home together with Halsin. Helping people (something Shar did not like to see), counseling, living a quite life. And Halsin would have someone devoted to him (both are poly options in the game, so I could see them living that), caring for him in a way he has not let himself be cared for in a long time. She is cheeky and playful (even though being guarded is a second nature for her) which plays wonderful with his playful but more calm nature. (Also both love fucking each others brains out)

That woman who only knew loss has something for herself now. A home, A lover and people that care about her. And the man that only knew duty and restlessness, now has a heart to come home to. A place where he is cherihed and listened to, without the burden of being the leader. He has someone that loves him deeply and is both lover and friend. Someone who knows loss as much as he does.

And they heal.

Well that was what comes to my mind. Tbh I am most giddy about their shared ending than anything. Just. Them cuddling with the Owlbear in front of a fire. Cooking and taking walks. Caring for the children. Love it.
