Things in the apartment had been tense. Your Betas weren’t getting along, arguing over “professional matters”. Sam’s little Red Wing was his pride and joy and he refused to allow Jake to do any of the software upgrades for it, which Jake found incredibly offensive. You loved your men, were proud of them being some of the most intelligent of Betas, but you could tell they really needed to step away from the projects. For everyone’s sake.

Which is why you suggested a vacation. With your rut coming up in just over a month, you really needed them to be working together. You being an Alpha gave you a major size advantage so your Betas, despite their builds, needed to work together to keep you from accidentally hurting yourself or them. 

Which is what led to you being here, on the beach, while your mates were out on the lake fishing. You never really understood the appeal but watching the two of them joyfully freaking out over the giant fish they were pulling in together put a smile on your face.

You also let yourself ogle them in their shirtless state, watching Sam’s bulkier shoulders pull on the fishing pole while Jake’s leaner form was ready with the net. You think back to the many, many times those muscly arms were wrapped around you. The times when you were sandwiched between them, both of them filling your pussy better than any Alpha could. Sam’s endurance and Jake’s flexibility satisfying you more than any other partners you’d had. The sleazy Alpha was clearly not expecting your Betas to be so big and intimidating. He takes a step back from them and pivots so that he can see all three of you. 

“How about a little wager?” Your tone is ice cold, telling Jake and Sam you are truly angry. “See who can run faster? You, or the three of us. You win, you get to leave. We win, we kick your ass. What do you say?”

The Alpha slowly raised his hands, placatingly, and backed away a few steps before turning and running. You growl and move to give chase but Jake stops you, holding you, getting his scent on you and kissing on your mating gland. When the other Alpha is far enough away, Sam joins Jake in calming you down. An angry Alpha can be dangerous for everyone. 

“Guys, I’ll be okay,” you tell them, trying to sound soothing. “I’ve just got a lot of adrenaline now and need to use it up.”

Sam and Jake pull away from you a little. Jake smirks, “race to the hotel room?”

“Gotta take care of our Alpha,” Sam nods. 

“I’ll give you two a head start,” you coo.

I realise that ageism in fandom is, in the grand scheme of things, the least concerning thing about the fandom experience but I need to say this: all you baby adults on here need to calm down and let the real grown adults have their fun too without you hopping in their ask box’s calling them names. You’re going to get old too, okay? The years pass, you will hit thirty and beyond at some point and that’s a good thing! And when you do, you’ll still want to look at pictures of your blorbos and talk to strangers about who you want them to fuck and how they should do it. Life is hard enough right now, getting old and having a job/family/kids/responsibilities won’t change your love of fiction. I came across one of those games where you use your first and last initial to make a suburb name, and using my username I came up with Oak Field which I think is so pretty! And I looked into the different meanings for street names (drive, avenue, lane, etc) and I like Court best because it's a cul de sac and I feel like a cul de sac is soooo suburban and very family friendly. I mean sure it must be hard if all the moms are going to work at the same time lol but that's not my problem 😎 lmao

Anyway so the family lives on Oak Field Court. It's a very nice and friendly neighborhood where all the families live.

In my head all the dads either work from home or are stay at home dads like a reverse 1950's household.

i really feel like steve is the type of dad who has a plan for every weekend. it could be farmer's market or day trip to the shore or a short hike 🤭

I can totally see this! I headcanon Steve as very organized, always having a plan. He very much values quality family time too so this is right up his alley.

"Is everyone ready for the beach?" Steve hollers out as he finishes packing everything up in the trunk of your guys' car. It was Saturday and that meant it was Family Fun Day as he called it. The kids were still young so they enjoyed it, but you were dreading the day that they didn't want to hang out with you guys anymore. So you cherished these days even if Steve was a little cheesy about it.

"Come on, let's pile in!" He grinned as the twins came toddling out in their little bathing suits and coverups.

"Oh, my precious babies." Steve cooed as he picked up both your son and daughter up in his arms, snuggling them close and giving them kisses as they giggled. They got strapped into their car seats and given some toys to keep them occupied.

Next you came out in your vintage inspired two-piece and big sun hat. You looked like you stepped straight out of a pin-up calender and Steve whistled when he saw you.

"Wow, look at my beautiful wife." He pulled you close into a slow, loving kiss which you eagerly returned. Once you pulled back you nudged your nose against his with a small smile.

"Thank you, handsome. Let's get going, I'm so excited for the beach!"

And once you arrive, the fun started. Steve wasn't a big beach guy (his poor irish skin!) But he knew you and the kids were. So he made sure to always wear one of his baseball caps and lather his body head-to-toe in sunscreen. Sure the super soldier serum healed him quickly, but having a sun burn still wasn't fun.

Even if he was sensitive, he still played with the kids a ton. Building sand castles with them, teaching them how to boogeyboard, showing them all the fish and critters. It was always a blast and you hoped these outings lasted a long time.
