Epilogue/second season(?) -> Masterlist of the full series
I couldn't help writing this after reading the last chapter of the manga, my poor Nagi :'(. Anyways, this is random and I don't know if there's going to be more, it depends on how the manga goes on, so it's just a waiting game
SPOILERS
You look at the clothes hanging on the wall, your blue lock uniform hanging right beside your school uniform, shining with only the blue light coming from your TV as the logo of BLTV appears.
Since you left Blue Lock right before it became a livestream entertainment, when you came back to school you could pretty much return to your normal life, only your closest friends knowing the truth behind your sudden disappearance from school.
You were watching constantly, supporting your friends in their dreams, but at the same time, hearing the excitement of every single one of your classmates when watching them play…it hurt a little. You could be there, play with them, be with them and nobody would know.
Watching from outside you could see just how intense every single match was, how intense every training session was, something you didn't fully notice while being inside. And now it was, somehow, even more cut throat than before. Ego always had a thing with lists, usually being who scored the most, but now only the Top 23 players with the highest monetary offer would continue.
But there was something bothering you. Something about Nagi felt…off.
He always was dependent on Reo, but you thought after parting ways on the second selection he was more independent, that he realized just how much potential he had. And at some moments of the matches that shine through, however…it looks that he fell back into the comfort of being with Reo. That especially became obvious after Nagi and Isagi competed against each other. As if Nagi had completed an achievement he was yearning to complete.
You weren't too worried though, despite his recent inconsistency he always was in the top 15, not bad considering everyone else's growth and competition. Besides, despite you constantly texting him about how he has to take things more seriously, he always told you that he was fine and changed the subject, so there was nothing more that you could do other than cheer him on.
Well, until now apparently. The last two matches of this season already finished and Ego was giving his usual speech before announcing the list. In first place, Ithoshi Rin and Isagi; you saw Bachira and Chigiri in fifth and sixth place respectively, making you immediately send a text to your redhead best friend to congratulate him; Reo was in 7th place. But more and more names were appearing on the screen, while Nagi’s wasn't shown yet, until…
*23 - NANASE - ¥ 25.000.000*
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*24 - NAGI - ¥ 24.000.000*
Your eyes look in disbelief to the screen as you shuffle to get closer, trying to convince yourself that you just read the list wrong or that maybe it was a glitch. Nagi couldn't be out, he's amazing, there's no way these clubs don't recognize his talent. But minutes pass, the list doesn't change, Ego confirmed that the reason that his talent ‘withered’ was because of “satisfaction” and “teaming up with Reo”.
The transmission is cut right then, the logo appearing as you still sit in disbelief. A bunch of messages start ringing in your phone, mostly from your group chat reacting to the news since they also followed the show, knowing your ‘crush’ towards Nagi. But you still sit there, not knowing how to feel and contemplating the reasons. Ego was right, Nagi became too dependent again, he wasn't playing at his best…but eliminating him? Now?
You heard the special notification sound coming from your phone, instinctively taking it to see a message from him
“I'm out of Blue Lock :)”
“I'll go back to school on Monday :)”
Nagi was undoubtedly lazy and, for the most part, unbothered by pretty much everything, but you knew by that text that something wasn't right. That was only confirmed by the texts of Reo and Chigiri. Today was Saturday, you couldn't go tomorrow since your club had an important match, but you could go on Monday…but how? Now that you had a bunch of money you could get to Tokyo by plane, a much faster way, but you didn't even know where his school was. Luckily for you, Reo decided to help you. If you took the plane right after your school day ended, you'll still arrive before his school day ended, and he instructed Baya-san to wait for you at the airport to take you to the school. You couldn't have planned it more perfectly, cause the next day the Blue Lock app showed you a notification that the top 23 was doing a small parade through the city, so you could see the guys again as well.
++++
Monday afternoon was here, and while waiting for the plane to land you couldn't help to overthink this whole thing. What if Nagi was truly fine? He did seem a bit more dry during your conversations, but it could also be that he was tired, after all, you only met him a few months ago, you couldn't even tell if you were dating or not, you just…kiss. But it was too late now, if nothing seemed wrong, you could at least mask it as if you just wanted to see him.
Baya leaves you at the front of the school, a big, clearly upper-class one. You followed the instructions that Reo sent you to Nagi´s classroom, hoping that he hadn't already gone back to his house or changed location. You open the door in front of the classroom, quickly scanning it when you see white hair and an oversized boy laying down on the table. Your heart starts to beat faster as you enter the classroom, and thinking that he was sleeping, you slowly walk towards him to not wake him up. That until you heard a low sniff, clearly trying to suppress it.
“Sei” you say, now quickly going to his side as he lift his head, surprised and confused
“Y-Yn?” he whispers, but before he could say anything else you wrapped your arms around his neck. He takes a while to react, slowly putting his head in the crock of your neck and starts hugging you back “Yn”
“I'm here Sei, im here” you play with the back of his head, his sniffles becoming a bit louder, making your heart break slightly
“Why didn't I try harder? Why couldn't I play like usual? Wh- why do I feel like this?” he asks as his hold becomes tighter, making you want to cry with him.
You decided to not answer yet, just holding him closer as he cries his heart out. Considering his history in sports, he has always been a genius in all of them, so all of these feelings and frustrations must be a completely new thing for him. Plus, being a rich kid with a very protective best friend made him a very sheltered kid that doesn't know how it feels to truly lose something.
“Better?” you ask him after a few minutes, once his crying has calm down a little “Well, to answer your questions, you just became to compliant, this is how people feel when they realized that they could have done more”
“I hated having to put so much effort, but why do I want to come back?” his eyes start to tear up again, so you hold his face so you can look directly into his eyes
“Because you had fun, you enjoyed playing soccer, that's all” he closes his eyes and leans his forehead into yours, closing the gap between your faces
“I knew you were cheering me on…s-sorry for letting you and Choki down” he whispers
“You didn't let us down, you still are one of the most talented players i know, and you still have offers to play professional” you flick his cheek slightly”Don't worry, I'll give Ego an earful about what he said to you, that bastard needs a humbling”
“You sound…confident” he says, finally letting a small chuckle
“Oh, believe me, I am” you smile softly “want to go home? Cause i haven't figure out a place to stay yet”
“Stay at mine, it's a pain to let you go now” he holds you face as he says this, closing the gap between your lips as he kisses you softly “I missed you, thank you for coming all the way here for me”
“I missed you too” you kiss him quickly again, standing up as you start pulling him away from the classroom, far away from that window where he could see the football team “Let's go, maybe we could go to that arcade place we went last time so i can beat your ass”
You hear him mutter something as he chuckles something, but your phone rings loudly enough for you to miss whatever he said, a message from Chigiri letting you know about their schedule; but for now you push that aside, walking with Nagi hand in hand as you promise to yourself to find a way to make Japan know the genius that Nagi Seishiro truly is.

Feels like home
A small something based on the new official illustration. A very loose Kenma x reader story
“So, have you heard about your third years?” Yachi asks you as you refill your team's water bottles outside of Nekoma’s gym, the four schools taking a break from practice.
With Nationals finishing last year came many things, not only a new winner and standards for the next Interhigh, but most importantly, the realization that a new school year was starting soon after so many tiring days. For Nekoma was not different, after losing to Karasuno and properly closing the Nationals chapter, you went back into your typical practices only to realize one thing: your third years weren't coming anymore.
Your boyfriend, Kenma, didn't seem to care much; not even for the last day of the third years in the club, when Kuroo announced that Yamamoto was going to be the new captain, he showed any different emotions, at most he only looked at his best friend annoyed when he tried to give him a hug. But you knew him better. Sure, while practicing he still was his lazy self, but the closer the days came to the final ceremony, the more you saw him getting anxious. A bit more clingier in public, much more when you were together in the safety of his home, barely even letting you go away from him so you can go to the bathroom.
On the night of their final ceremony he didn't even play games, holding you as if you were going to disappear as well.
Soon after he started to become himself fully again, not only the extensive practices helped him, but unlike previous years, now he had you by his side to help him to get used to this new year.
And with a new year, comes more practice and more training camps.
“Yeah, Yaku-san went pro, Kai-san is studying to be an arborist and Kuro is studying some business thingy” you answer the now second year Yachi “You?”
“I mostly talk with Kiyoko-san, but I heard that…” you hear her explain what she knew about her old teammates, what they were doing now and how much they talked. It was weird considering that despite them not physically being here with you, your third years texted you just as much as ever.
After preparing everything you enter the gym again only to find Kenma alongside the previous first years from Karasuno. You went to sit beside him as he shows something to Kayegama on his phone
“....but i heard that Italy has the best teams overall, maybe you should aim for a team there” Kenma says to the younger boy as he takes your hand, leaning his head in your shoulder
“I see, i see”
“You'll need to study English for that, Tobio-kun” you joke
“I've gotten better, Yn-san!”
“Have you, though? I heard from someone that you got a 32 in your last test”
“Hinata boke!” Kageyama goes to fight with Hinata as you chuckle alongside your boyfriend
“Look at you too, looking up stats about volleyball to know which country is the best” you joke to Kenma
“I do like the sport, i just rather watch it” he scoffs, kissing your cheek quickly
“Hello kiddos” you hear a familiar voice coming from the door, a spiky, messy, black hair and a smug smile on his lips “you two! Don't make out in front of the kids!”
“Please, shut up, they'll survive” you sigh as Kenma rolls his eyes
“Youngsters this days” Kuroo smirks as you two stand up to say hi to him, you going to hug him
“Aren't you supposed to be in university? What are you doing here?” Kenma asks
“Yeah, I thought university students were supposed to be busy” Tsukishima joins Kenma “guess not everyone is busy, even in uni”
“You're hurting me, kids”
“Kuroo-san! How are you!” You heard Hinata starting to talk with Kuroo, distracting him with questions.
You feel a pair of arms in your waist as Kenma chuckles at Hinata, you put Kenma’s hair behind his ear as he smiles softly at you with tired eyes. You look at the boys in front of you, Hinata and Yamaguchi talking with Kuroo, Tsukishima and Kageyama talking with Kenma; the whole scene make you feel somehow cozy at how much their friendship has grown and how lucky you were to be part of it.

(Twenty) Nine Lives for Love
Chapter 1: Goodbyes
\\Next Chapter
Tw: Reader literally is dead at the start lol; A lil angsty, in a good way!
Info: Kenma x Reader (eventually lol); Platonic Tanaka and Noya x Reader; Soulmate AU
Word count: 5k
🍓It's my spin on a soulmate AU! I apologize if the beginning is tedious, it's necessary to understand the AU though! Love you all! Eat up!
The first thing you notice when waking up is the sound of water. It’s a steady, gentle sound you could easily miss if you weren’t looking for it. The second thing is that you feel the soft tickling of just too long grass on your exposed skin, the light breeze caressing your face kindly. It was all so calming. So relaxing. It could put you right back to sleep… only, you knew in the back of your mind you did not fall asleep outside, and it was most definitely still winter where you lived.
The panic kicked in all at once, and you were shooting up from your spot without a second thought, groaning as the world around you spun painfully. You gripped your head, rubbing at your temples to ease the pain you’d caused in your panic. Taking a few deep breaths, you finally opened your eyes. The sun above was bright enough that it stung to look around. The breeze tossed your hair around, almost playful. Ahead of you, just as expected, was a river flowing steady and strong.
Relief kicked in as you recalled exactly where you were. Textbooks called this place “The In-between,” a simple way of saying the place between life and death. Your transfer from your last life to your next. You were quite familiar with the concept. How many lives have you been through now? Twenty-five? Or was it closer to Thirty? They begin to blend together after so long.
You spent your most recent gamble at life trying to study this damn place – you were achieved too! Plenty of awards for your research. Books, journals, experiments, interviews, and so on. Fifty long years of passion and drive, you would say it was a good life you’d lived. It meant nothing in the long run, though, your research was thrown out as more and more of the public decided this place was just a fairytale. Too romantic to be true.
A place between life and death meant to guide you to your soulmate – the person your eternity was destined to? No one had ever seen it and lived to tell the tale. Ironic isn’t it? Your research found that the average person only caught glimpses through “deja vu”, though there were a few rare cases where others could see their past lives. By and large, it was usually little glimpses, which obviously would cause doubt in the average person. Nothing was provable, truly, which is why people stopped taking you seriously as technology advanced.
Disappointing, but you couldn’t blame the public. It was ridiculous sounding, not to mention overly confusing, and most of all horrifying to think about. But here you were. In it. If you were alive (which was obviously not possible) you would be cackling at the idiots who threw your life's work out the window.
You looked around again, trying to take in as much detail as possible. It was important, after all. Any little thing could be a hint to who your eternity was. Standing, you brushed yourself off before making your way down to the ever-sturdy river that had been flowing since this place showed up. Since you showed up. You crouched over the side of it, reaching down to let it flow between your fingers.
“Hi,” you said, and it bubbled in response. You laughed, removing your hand and wiping it off on your leg draping it over your other knee, “Are you going to help me out, or should I just wander around until something hits me in the face.”
The river splashed up at your bare feet, scolding you for your sass. You chuckle at it, splashing it back with a swift smack.
“I know, I know,” you sigh, standing up again, “I’ll take a little walk, that usually works.”
You walk close to the riverbed, making idle chatter with the mysterious entity meant to reflect your inner self. Its responses only came in rushes and bubbles, but you understood it all the same. Along your walk you come across several animals of varying types, peculiar, as you’d never really had other living things here – other than the river, which you weren’t sure could be declared as a ‘living’ thing. Still, it was a welcome change, making the place feel less lonely. Each animal was particularly drawn to you, rubbing their little bodies excitedly against your legs. You made sure to give each of them as much attention as they’d allow, delighting in the attention they gave you.
There was one odd little creature, though.
It was a little calico cat, body lithe and eyes sharp as it watched you from a distance on the stump of a long-gone tree. It had a strange pattern of yellow and black on the top of its head that almost looked like hair. It hadn’t approached you, but it seemed to… watch. Not in the way an animal would, but the way a conscious being might. Like it was considering you as a fellow intelligent lifeform.
It shouldn’t have been possible, of course. Everyone had one ‘guide’, yours had always been the river. This cat was an outlier in the statistics, which made the scientist of your past life buzz in excitement. A new set of data to analyze, what does this mean? How could this affect your previous research?
You shook your head. Truly, deeply, within your very core, all you wanted to do was to pet its cute little head. The logic and statistics didn’t matter to you, because the you – the next you, or the person you were going to become; the person you are – just wanted to cuddle up to the little thing.
A splash of water at your feet caught your attention, and you turned a glare at your old friend. In return, it gave you a series of urging rushes.
“What?” It did the same thing, stubbornly, “Do you want me to go… talk to it?”
It slowed all at once, a sign of affirmation, and you sighed. You turned on your heels and made your way across the grassy field, heading for the cat straight on. It stared at you, blinking in a way that was far too human, before hopping off of its perch and trotting down a dirt path just a few feet next to its wooden seating. You groaned, not wanting to chase after this cat's affections, but it paused at the sound of your voice. It looked back expectantly, tail curling up happily in the air. You couldn’t say no to such a happy little kitty, could you?
No, of course not. So you followed it, grumbling as dirt caked your wet feet, but the cat did not seem to care. It only looked back occasionally to ensure you were still following it. At some point, the pretty open fields turned into walls of city buildings, and the gentle rush of your river friend became the sounds of city life. The sun began setting, its rays casting shadows of towering buildings across the sidewalks. Eerie, how such an empty place felt so full of life.
It was… odd. A complete and total shake of what you knew to be true. You never heard about such extreme physical changes in the In-between. Consistency, consistency, consistency. That was the way of the universe that you had studied. To change so dramatically so… suddenly… You didn’t have much time to dwell on it, as the little kitty turned into a rather well-off neighborhood, its pace picking up rapidly.
You couldn’t take anything in, too busy running after the suddenly very athletic cat. It passed several large buildings before hopping over the gate of a compact little home. You sighed, slowing your pace a bit as its beady little eyes peered at you through the bars of a gate.
“You are a pain, you know that little kitty,” you complain.
The cat just tilts its head, and walks toward the front of the house, looking back expectantly. You give a final sigh and push open the gate with little to no resistance. Then, the front door of the house. You feel like an intruder, despite knowing there is no one around here other than you and the little kitty. Who has not stopped its pursuit, expertly moving through the house until it hops into a room, which you quickly realize is someone’s bedroom as you step in.
The cat hops up on the bed and has the nerve to meow at you. You glare at it, approaching to give it a few harsh pets from its head to its tail. That’ll teach it! You're successful in your lesson, as it lazily flops onto its side and bats at your hands. You settle down next to it, laughing as it harmlessly bites at your fingers.
“You sure are pretty, though,” you coo absentmindedly, and it gives a meow in response.
You’re sure to give the kitty plenty of loving and attention, a reward for your efforts before you make the executive decision to take in the room around you. It must be important if this is where the cat wants you to be. It better be, the ache in your legs insists.
The room was compact, only made worse by the fact that there were so many things in it. A bed, of course, but this person had a full gaming PC set up on their desk. It wasn’t cheap either – at least… it didn’t look it. You didn’t know much about games and the like, but you could tell what a nice piece of technology looked like. On the other side of the room, in front of the bed, was a medium-sized TV with an assortment of gaming consoles. Most of which were either Sony or Nintendo and new-ish. The controllers were well-loved, joysticks worn smooth from years of use.
A bump from your side catches your attention, and you look to see the kitty rubbing its side against a shelf. You walk over, scooping the cat up in your arms, chuckling as it goes limp in your cradle. The shelf itself was full, absolutely full, of video games and collectible figures of what you could only assume were characters from these games. On the top shelf were several different textbooks: English, Science, Math, and one on Volleyball techniques.
You move to set the cat down to get a better look at some of the shelves, bumping a rather beat-up volleyball in the process you hadn’t noticed before. The cat nudges it toward you, tail flicking around in… delight, you think. So, you crouch and pick it up, turning it in your hands. It’s got several chunks taken out of it, and it’s covered in dirt, but you can just barely make out the initials written in black Sharpie. ‘K.K.’ it read. The cat presses itself into your leg, and you give it a good ruffle on the top of its head.
“Are these… hints?” you gamble, asking the cat.
It gives you a meow, purring out its affirmative response. You give it a little scratch on the bottom of his chin as thanks. In return, it bites at your fingers lovingly, licking after itself to soothe the spot. As the cat loves on you, you think long and hard about everything that happened to you in such a short amount of time. In the many lives you’ve lived, the many times you’ve been here, none of this has ever happened before… it’s an entirely undocumented phenomenon. The little thread of hope in your stomach strums an excited song. Maybe, just maybe, this is a sign that this life – this time, you’ll get it right.
The sun settles itself below the horizon, bathing the room in darkness. You let out a sigh, rubbing the cat’s head for good luck.
“Let's hope this is the one, right little guy?” The cat meows, golden eyes watching you in the dark.
You can only hope that the universe isn’t playing tricks on you.
.·:*˚¨¨ ≈★≈ ¨¨˚*:·.
You sit on the floor of your room – what used to be your room, at least – flipping through the pages of a textbook you’d snuck from the boxes of your mother's old stuff. Written in the early seventies by some Professor of the Sciences in the UK, it details the concepts of soulmates. While most of their work was regarded as illogical and ridiculous, your mother had kept all of their textbooks from when she was in college – ever the hopeless romantic she was. Since discovering them in the basement while moving, skimming through the books, and reading all the evidence compiled in favor of the existence of soulmates has become your favorite pastime.
It was silly for someone your age to be considering the idea of ‘soulmates’, most people abandon the thought in middle school, but not you. You had to believe in soulmates. If you didn’t, your mom leaving wouldn’t make any sense. Nothing in your life would make sense. (A bit dramatic, but at 17 years old, everything feels that big).
You sigh, thumbing the edge of a page that your mother had written in. A paragraph defining the ‘spark’ that two soulmates feel when seeing each other was underlined three times in blue pen. Your Mom noted it as important for some exam she’d taken. Her handwriting was pretty, a lot like yours. You missed her a lot. Sure you still got to visit once every few months, and of course, she sent you letters, but you couldn’t help the ache in your chest when you thought of her.
You blinked back the tears building up in your eyes. You hated crying over stupid stuff like this. You were happy for your mom, you were. She found her soulmate and was living in the lap of luxury with her new family… You just wished that you and Dad could’ve been part of that happy life she has now.
Something soft brushes against your leg, and a tentative ‘meow’ comes from below you. Glancing down, you see your cat you’ve had since you were eight, Maki. She was a calico you picked up off the street and domesticated with nothing but a cat’s for dummies book and a whole lot of patience. You’d owned numerous animals throughout your life – most of which were rodents bought at pet stores who couldn’t have lived longer no matter how much you tried – but Maki was your favorite. She just… understood you in a way that no other living creature could’ve, as crazy as that sounded.
You give her a careful scratch behind her ears, grinning as she purrs in delight. She has no idea she’s going in a crate in a few hours, poor thing. You close up the book, carefully hiding it away beneath several of your textbooks, and tape up the box aptly labeled ‘textbooks’. Satisfied, you pull Maki into your lap and give her cuddles, which she begrudgingly accepts.
Your room and all of your items were packed up – including the air mattress you’d been sleeping on for the past few days while your actual bed was transported all the way to Tokyo. All you had to do was put the last few boxes in the car, and you and your father would leave later that day after lunch. Which meant if you wanted to meet with your friends, you had to get your butt moving. You scooped Maki up in your arms and quickly headed downstairs, smiling a little to yourself as you saw your dad fighting to zip up his suitcase in the barren living room.
“You all good old man?” You called, trying hard not to laugh at him.
“I had more clothes than I thought,” he huffed, “help your old man out, come sit on it while I zip.”
You hop down the remaining stairs and settle yourself squarely in the middle of the giant thing, Maki taking the chance to hop out of your arms and wander off into the empty kitchen. Your father gives a big grunt, and finally manages to zip his suitcase closed.
He leans back, wiping his brow of the sweat he accumulated from moving boxes all day, “I thought your clothes were bad! I’m no better!”
You laugh, “That’s cause you refuse to get rid of anything, even the stuff you never wear.”
“I’m keeping them because they have–”
“‘Sentimental value.’ Yeah, Dad, I know the speech.” You drawl.
He smiles at you and ruffles the top of your head. Something like pride shines in his eyes, and you almost feel like a normal family for a second.
“You all packed up sweetheart?” he asks, and you give him a nod, “I know you’re going to see your friends, so I’ll put the last of your things in the car.”
You step up and give him a big, warm hug, which he returns happily. “Thanks, Dad. I love you.”
“I love you too pumpkin’,” he pulled away, straightening out your jacket, “be safe, and don’t let those two idiots get you in trouble on your last day here.”
You laugh, shaking your head at the idea. Sure, Noya and Tanaka were a bit rough around the edges, but they were good people. Speaking of, the two of them were already waiting outside of your gate when you stepped out of the house. Noya was holding a volleyball under his arm, and Tanaka was flushed and panting.
“Did you two play a whole set while you were waiting,” you laughed, stepping around and closing your gate.
“Nah, Tanaka just ran here 'cause he was late,” Noya explains simply.
Tanaka groans, and you pat his back awkwardly, hoping he won’t double over and die the last time you get to see him for a while. He gives a final gruff gasp for air before he straightens up and gives you a bright grin as if he hadn’t almost died at your feet. You shake your head at him, used to the behavior.
“You didn’t have to run all the way here, you moron.” You scold, giving him a firm smack on the head.
He grumbles, rubbing at the spot you hit, “We both wanted to be here at the same time… and Saeko was holdin’ me up.”
“Mhm, whatever you say. Still, no excuse to try and kill yourself before I even leave.”
The three of you begin your usual walk to the convenience store nearby, on the mission to get some delicious meat buns, then pass the volleyball around for a couple of hours while you talk about life and things like that. Simple stuff so you don’t have to think too hard about the fact that you won’t be seeing your best friends for at least a few months after today. As you walk, you reflect on the people you hold dear from here. Feeling more sentimental than you usually let yourself be.
You had known Nishinoya since you were in diapers, having lived close to him and his family your whole life. You were practically raised by his grandpa who taught you all the most important life lessons, like riding a bike or how to play rough with the boys at school. Your favorite thing about being Noya’s friend, though, was his grandpa's stories about soulmates. He would sit the two of you down at night and tell stories of how he met his precious soulmate, and how precious each life lived with her has been – though he doesn’t remember any of them. He was the main reason you didn’t resent your mother, stepping in where your father couldn’t soothe you when she left in middle school.
Not to mention, being Noya’s friend was just fun. When you were little he was always taking you on ‘adventures in the wild’, which was just the two of you terrorizing the rice farmers in the surrounding area. You would swim in the river with him during the hottest days of summer, having epic water gun battles for the ages until you inevitably hit an adult and got a stern scolding. During winters you’d curl up in front of your TV and play with the console your father bought for your tenth birthday – usually Mario Kart or party games that always ended in an argument between the two of you, and an inevitable week ban on the console. Where Noya was, you were sure to be close behind, and the same applied in reverse.
Being friends with Noya, inevitably, led to you befriending his closest friend from Karasuno: Tanaka. As well as every other member of the volleyball team – like Daichi and Sugawara, who were the most ‘senpai’ senpai you might’ve ever met. Asahi, who looked at least ten years older than he was, was just a sweetheart. Unfortunately, he and Noya weren’t on speaking terms, so neither were you.  And, of course, the ever-lovely Kiyoko Shimizu, who was trying to get you to manage the volleyball team with her before she found out you were leaving this year. Tanaka was convinced they were soulmates, like real actual soulmates, but she hardly glanced his way. You kinda felt bad for him, but he couldn’t be convinced otherwise. (It didn’t help that Noya fed into his fantasies so much).
Long story short, you had a life here. A good one that you loved with friends that you wanted to keep… but life hasn’t been fair to you for a long time. Your dad got a good promotion, and that meant you had to move to Tokyo. So, instead of continuing high school here, you would be uprooted and moved to Tokyo Metropolis – specifically, you’d be going to Nekoma High School. A much larger high school than Karasuno with people you’ve never met in a city you’ve only visited a handful of times.
Buying the meat buns was quick, and the three of you ended up at a park doing exactly what you figured you would. Mostly, it was Noya and Tanaka messing around with the ball, which you would have to dodge occasionally to keep your head on your shoulders. There was a sense of peace at the moment, just watching them try and best each other as the sun rose high in the sky. You wished you could freeze this moment and live in it forever. You wished you didn’t have to leave. You wished you fought your Dad harder on moving. You wished and wished, but wishes don’t change the past, and they certainly won’t affect the future.
The ball whizzed right past your face – an intentional shot from your shorter friend. You barely managed to duck out of the way, sending a glare his way. Your balder friend laughs at you as he runs to grab the ball.
“What the hell was that for?” You shout, smoothing over your frazzled hair.
“You’re doing too much thinking and not enough playing.” He states simply, “Get out of your head and enjoy the moment you have now, or else you’ll miss out on it.”
Ever the poet Noya (accidentally) was, you acquiesced holding your hands up in surrender. You were here to spend time with your friends, not mourn the fact that you wouldn’t be able to do it anymore.
“Alright, toss me the ball,” you sigh, standing from your spot.
Tanaka bumps the ball to you, an easy toss since you rarely ever played volleyball outside of this ritual the three of you formed. Your mind is so busy trying to keep up with your much more talented friends, that you hardly have time to think about how sad you were. As you dive after the ball and scrape up your chin, you dont even remember what had you so upset in the first place. It was just you and your friends like the world had intended.
By the time you had finished, the three of you were covered head to toe in scratches and dirt – like you were three little kids who played too rough. You were sweating and breathing hard by the end of it, though you could tell he and Tanaka still had plenty of energy to spare – unlike you. Perks of being athletes, you guessed. Downing what Noya had left of his water, you checked your phone and cursed. 12:30 and two missed calls from your dad. He’s gonna be so pissed.
“What’s wrong?” Tanaka pants out, leaning over your shoulder, “Oh, shit.”
“Yeah, shit is right. I’m gonna get such a lecture when I get back.” You groan, dramatically slinging your arm over your eyes.
“Oh please, all your old man’s gonna worry about is your scraped-up knees.” Noya corrected snarkily.
“Whatever loser, I gotta get back regardless.” you sigh, brushing as much dirt off your clothes as you can manage.
You begin your pursuit toward your house, and the two boys follow behind without any arguing. Eventually, the three of you fall into step next to each other, sandwiched between them as you talk about various things. Video games, exams (that they passed by a hair), the next volleyball season (even though Noya is adamant he won’t participate without Asahi), and so on. No one wants to breach the topic at hand: you leaving. It’s depressing, but someone has to bring it up, or else it’ll stick to your skin like summer heat and leave you feeling hot with regret.
“I’m gonna miss you guys a lot.” You announce, looking up to the sky to avoid crying.
The two of them are quiet as they exchange a look across you. You can feel the mental battle between the two of them – a metaphorical game of rock, paper, scissors happens in their eyes. Tanaka loses, it seems, as he’s the first to speak.
“I mean, it’s not like we’ll never see each other again…” he pauses, “right? You’re going to visit for sure.”
You nod eagerly, “Of course I am, I just… I dunno how often I’ll be able to. It’s gonna be hard without you guys.”
Noya punches your shoulder, “Don’t be depressing about it, dummy! This is a new opportunity – you could even-” he pauses, looking around and lowering his voice, “you could meet your soulmate.”
“Ohhh, like Tanaka totally met his.” You snark.
“Kiyoko is my soulmate!” He retaliates, voice breaking in the middle.
“Come on!” Noya groans, hopping in your path and halting all movement, “This is a change you need! It’s like I always say, there's never a bad change 'cause everything’s part of the universe’s great plan for us.”
“Alright Noya, I get it. Can’t a girl just be a little melancholic sometimes?”
“No. Now let's get you home before your old man has a reason to yell at us too.” He shouts, suddenly breaking into a sprint.
“Hey, you little bastard, get back here!” You shout back, quickly taking after him.
“Come on guys!” Came Tanaka as he picked up his pace to keep up with you.
.·:*˚¨¨ ≈★≈ ¨¨˚*:·.
Noya was correct, your Dad’s only concern when he saw you was how messy you had become. You gave your two friends a big hug with the promise that you’d keep each other up to date on everything, and then they left for Noya’s to do god knows what. You had a hearty lunch that your Dad picked up from a Chinese place while you were gone, tried and failed to crate Maki who ended up in your lap in the front seat, and then you were off to Tokyo. A nearly five-hour drive that your father thought would be good bonding time.
If by bonding he meant two hours of shitty music you didn’t like and off-key singing, you two were practically chemically bonded at this point. You couldn’t bring yourself to be anything more than mildly annoyed, huffing out an amused laugh as your old man struggled through another verse of a song you didn’t know. He nudged you, laughing at your face.
“What? Not enjoying your old man’s musical talent?” He jokes.
You roll your eyes at him, and he laughs, leaning over to finally turn down the music. He holds his hand up in surrender as he pulls back, apologizing lightheartedly, and you can’t stop the smile from growing on your face. He reaches over and squeezes your knee gently.
“You doing okay kiddo?” He asks, softly, as if you might break if he spoke any louder.
You nod, “Just a little… sad… you know.”
He sighs, nodding back at you. He looked tired, and this was the first time you considered that… maybe the move was as hard on him as it was on you.
“I grew up in that house, and all my friends are in Miyagi… it just feels like such a shame to leave it all behind.”
“I know honey. But… I think this move is gonna be good for us. I’ll make more money to support us, and you’ll have more opportunities in the big city.” He says excitedly.
“Yeah… I know.” you sigh, and there’s a tense lull in the conversation.
Your Dad has a hard time comforting you, that was always your mom's job, and he never figured out how to do it by himself. You always ended up having to pick up the pieces for both of you.
“I, Uhm, I saw that there was a shelter near where we live that lets high schoolers volunteer on weekends – sometimes they even give long-time helpers permanent positions through college.” You offer up.
“Now that is exactly something that you would love doing, isn’t it?” He responds with a smile.
“Yeah, I already applied for it.” You laugh, “I was excited, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet.”
“Wow! Look at you, already so responsible! Where’s my little girl, I want her back,” he teases, pinching your cheek.
“Dad! It’s nothing serious, just an application!”
“But I’m still so proud of you. You’re already taking steps to adjust, that's real maturity, honey.”
You flush, nervously running your fingers through Maki’s fur. It didn’t feel like it was such a big deal, but you were happy that you were making your Dad proud of you.
“I’m gonna miss all my friends, but I’m excited to go to Nekoma. I mean, a bigger school means a much wider curriculum, so maybe I can take some classes focused on animals and stuff.” You say hopefully.
“You for sure could, I think I saw some of those classes when I was looking into the school.” He encourages.
“Yeah, and I can make some new friends who like the same stuff I do! Noya even said that I could find my soulmate!” You exclaim, before you can even realize what you’re saying, and when you catch yourself it's already too late.
“Hon… you know how I feel about that… soulmate stuff.”
“I know. I’m sorry. It’s just… exciting, and… I guess I’m hopeful.”
He sighs, frustration clear on his face, “You’re a little too old to be hopeful about something like that.”
“I-it’s just a nice thought, that there's someone out there who’s made for me. My other half…”
“Sweetheart…”
“I know you don’t like it because of what happened with Mom, but there's evidence–”
“Just stop!” He shouts, then bites his lip, “Please, honey, just don’t.”
You nod, “I’m sorry Dad.”
He doesn’t respond, instead turning up the music. You don’t talk to each other unless you have to. You focus your attention on Maki, giving her attention until she hops off your lap and you have to focus on your phone. It’s about eight o’clock when you get to the new house. It’s… nice, much bigger than your old one, and much nicer.
The two of you grab your suitcases and a few assorted boxes to bring in (Maki following after you like a trained dog), too tired to unpack the whole car. You trudge your way across the house to your room – already furnished with bed made, thanks to the moving service your dad booked. You set your things down and collapse into your familiar sheets. They still smell like home, and that brings you more comfort than you thought you needed.
Maki, ever the mind reader, hops up and nudges her way under your arm. You tug her close, pressing a thankful kiss to her forehead. The house was nice, and so was the neighborhood from what you saw outside of your window. You hoped the school was too, you wouldn’t see it until you went to register for classes later this week. You didn’t have much room to feel anything but depressed after you argued with your Dad. You shouldn’t have pushed it so much, but it frustrated you to no end that he was so in denial of what happened.
You were exhausted, and thinking was taking up way too much brain power. You snuggled up to your cat, sighing at the familiar smell of her healthy coat.
“Tomorrow’s another day,” you mumbled, “let's hope it’s easier than today.”

Nostalgia
A sentimental longing or wistful affection for a period in the past. Or, when the boy you fell in love with finally comes back, bringing a beautiful chaos with him.
Genre: Exes to lovers; fluff
Oikawa Tooru, famous setter for the Argentinian National Team, a Japanese man who became a citizen in another country just so he can make his dream come true. But to you that didn't mean much.
He was your first love. He was the person you love the most. He made your high school years amazing. He also was the one who broke your heart.
.
You met Oikawa in your first year of high school; as classmates, you were used to having a bunch of girls fawning for him, constant love confessions and soft rejections happening right outside your classroom. He was undeniably handsome, but also very smart and passionate for volleyball; it'd be a lie to say you didn't have a crush on him, but you were never one to want to confess. You became friends after partnering up for a project, he found it pleasant that you weren't constantly flattering him, in fact, he found your little remarks fun; you were nice but slightly sassy.
Soon enough you became close friends, and you end up spending more and more time in the gym to watch him practice. You weren't the manager, but you often helped them while doing other stuff, so you got close to them quite quickly; Iwaizumi particularly liked how easy going you were with his best friend.
You also were one of the only ones who managed to stop him from overtraining, always making up excuses so he could come with you without actually making him stop. He was perceptive, he knew you didn't actually need him to go home, but he liked your company and was more than happy to spend time with you.
It was thanks to his intelligence that he remembered everything about you, from your favorite foods and snacks to the ones that you couldn't eat; every time you and the team went to eat ramen he would always took the veggies that you dislike from your bowl almost unconsciously, putting them in his bowl as he gives you some of his in return. You had a bad night? He noticed as soon as you walked in the classroom, going to buy your favorite snack and drink before taking you away from the prying eyes, talking about everything and nothing hoping you would forget whatever was troubling you, or even better, telling him what happened.
So it was no surprise that you two ended up dating by the end of your first year.
Dating him was surprisingly easy, despite the constant love confessions, he never made you feel less loved; always making sure you knew that for him they were just his fans and no more. He always makes sure to hold you close, to spend time with you after practice, to take you out on simple dates, to make sure you know that he loves you and only you.
Your family adores him, and his family adores you too; staying in each other's house was never an issue, your parents knowing that you both know how to take care of yourselves. You two connect on a closer level a week into your third year, one weekend that you spend with him when his family wasn't home. It was clumsy, slightly painful, but full of love and care. You wouldn't have it any other way.
It was during the first interhigh, when Seijoh lost against Shiratorizawa, when he brought the topic up with you. He was talking with an Argentinian coach, one that he had admired since childhood, seeing if it was possible to join them after he finishes high school. The chances were high, really high, so he started learning Spanish to make sure he was ready. At the time you didn't think about it much, you were happy that he was having such a big chance with his love for the sport, you even started learning the language with him so you could help him out. But when he came to you after losing to Karasuno from a place in the spring interhigh telling you that it was confirmed, that he was accepted in the Argentinian team, it hurted.
It was a mixed of feelings; you were happy, happy that all of his efforts in the sport were finally being recognized, happy that he was going to be with his idol, happy that his dream was starting to become a reality; but you were also sad, not knowing what will happen to your relationship. You were selfish, you didn't want him to go, part of you wanted him to be rejected so he could stay; but you weren't that selfish to tell him, you knew that when it comes to volleyball nothing will stop him to make his dream come true, knowing him too well to know that he will put his pride and love for volleyball over everything else, including you. You didn't want to start a fight over this, rather spending that time with him than without; after all you fell in love with that determination of his.
You went to say goodbye to him at the airport, both of you had decided to break up, not because you wanted to, but it'd have been almost impossible to keep a relationship with such a time difference. With one last kiss you say goodbye to him, your heart breaking as he walks away.
.
Years passed, almost 10 years since you last saw him. You studied kinesiology since you ended up liking volleyball and helping the players; you had a boyfriend, a relationship that lasted a while before you broke up. You and Oikawa didn't keep in contact, but you both did follow each other in social media, so you knew the basics of what the other was doing; plus, Iwaizumi was always giving you small little updates.
“hey” he says sitting next to you after a while “wasn't expecting to see you here”
However, sitting in the bench of the MSBY Black Jackals where the Japanese National Team was practicing, was the last place you expected to see him again. He was walking beside Iwaizumi with a smile, a smile that seems to become brighter once his eyes found yours. His eyes went a bit wider as you feel your heart beating fast, were you happy? Confused? Scared? You don't know, but it definitely was something. Memories found their way to your head, feelings that you thought were more than forgotten seem to start surfacing again.
“I can say the same to you” you answer back “what brings you back?”
“My team was invited to practice here in Japan, i had the day off today, so Iwa-chan invited me over” he explains, making you nod
“I'm their kinesiologist, and since i worked with some of them before, it was easier to get the job here”
“Nice, maybe you can help me? My wrist is being weird lately” he says with a small smirk and a clearly fake pain expression
“Does your team not have someone or what?” You look at him with a raised eyebrow
Once they finished their stretches you began to put your things away, you noticed that Oikawa was talking to Iwaizumi, so you quickly went out of the gym before he saw you.
“We do, but i rather have a pretty girl look at it” he flirts with a wink. It makes you chuckle how shameless he still was with his flirting “I'm kidding, I'm totally fine…but maybe we can have dinner together?” At that moment someone from the team calls you for some help in his stretches, so you look at Oikawa with a smile before standing up to help them.
“Yn-chan! Want to grab dinner with us?” Bokuto asks, walking outside the gym and passing his arm around you alongside Atsumu and Hinata. As the door is closing, your eyes find Oikawa’s, a small frown in his face as he looks at Iwaizumi again.
“Sure, let's go”
.
“Did Shittykawa asked you something when he came?” Iwaizumi asks you, it has been three days since Oikawa came to the gym
“Eh…yeah, he wanted to have dinner together”
“And?” he asks
“I…well, I was overwhelmed. I didn't expect him to be here, so I didn't know what to say”
“Understandable…well, I kinda expected it. He hasn't stop bothering me to give him your number, I haven't done it though, you two have a lot to sort out”
“Thanks” he wants your number? Why, all of the sudden?
A few hours later he's in the gym, interacting with the coach, Iwaizumi, even some of the players right before he comes next to you once again.
“He's coming again today, so you might wanna talk to him” he pats your head lovingly “but also, he's driving me crazy, so please do” You chuckle, knowing how Oikawa can get and how much he can annoy Iwaizumi. You made a note in your head to talk to him.
“You left mee! So mean, Yn-chan” he pouts sitting beside you
“Sorry, i..i had to do something” you say to him. You had forgotten how much you had miss him and his whiny self
“It’s okay, you were with your…boyfriend?” he looks at you, an emotion that you couldn't describe
“Boyfriend? Bokuto-san? No no, we're not dating, Bokuto is just…Bokuto” you look at the owl boy, who's now excitedly jumping “what about you? No girlfriend missing you?”
“Nah, the only ones calling me from Argentina are, at most, the workers that are expanding my house” he says, a small smile on his face. You know him, and while so many years have passed, his eyes are still as expressive as ever: outside of his teammates, he was alone there.
“I know a good ramen place nearby, we can grab dinner there if you want” his eyes get brighter
“Sure”
+
“Haven't had tsukemen in a while, these aren't in many places in Argentina” he says as the server puts your food in front of you
“I imagine it'll be hard to find true japanese food outside of japan” you say looking at your bowl “so, trying to reconnect with your exes, Oikawa-san? I'm sure Iwa told you i was going to be there”
“Oikawa-san? Ouch, Yn-chan, ouch” he says, taking his chopsticks. He instinctively takes the fish cakes out of your bowl, just like he used to do when you were together “you still don't like them, right?”
“Thanks Tooru” the name still rolls out of your tongue easily, as if you were again the same 17 year old kids
“And yeah, I knew, i… I wanted to see you again” a rare blush spreads in his face “and for the record, you are the only ex I'm reconnecting with”
You chuckle and take some of his food, he smiles and whines, but he still puts some more into your bowl.
.
“That jacket looks awfully similar to Seijoh’s” you comment to the man who was waiting outside the gym, a white jacket with light blue accents; and it suddenly feels like high school all over again, him waiting outside the gym while you locked it up, looking at the sky before smiling at you. It's eerie how similar it felt, the only difference being his physique and the fact that his back had an ARGENTINA written on it.
“Take a photo, it lasts longer” he ruins the moment, noticing how your eyes are still glued to his body, a smirk appears on his face, smirk that disappears when you hit him “What was that for?!”
“Shut up, Shittykawa”
“Not you too!” He whines, but you can only see playfulness in his eyes as he extends his hand “mind joining me on a walk?”
You look at his hand, you want to hold it, see how it feels to hold it again, but you're still hesitant; so instead, you pass him your backpack and start walking. He chuckles, but follows right behind you.
+
You end up walking towards a familiar place, a park that was near Aoba Johsai, a park where you and Oikawa used to go constantly after school. It was involuntary, both of you were just walking without a destination set, a comfortable silence between you two.
“Remember when we made a study group in our second year?” He asks pointing at a tree
“The one where you refused to study and laid on my lap? Or the one where you “accidentally” pushed Iwa into the lake?” you chuckle
“It WAS an accident!” he says offended
You sit on a bench near said lake, your legs almost touching from how close you were. You notice him shiver, the night was getting colder and he only had the flimsy jacket on that clearly wasn't made for this temperature. You take your bag and took out a scarf you had, getting closer to him to wrap it around his neck.
“We can't have the most talented setter get sick, can we?” You say smiling at him, as you try to move away he held your hands
“I think my hands are slightly more important from keeping them from freezing” he says, looking directly into your eyes
“You just want me to hold them” you raise an eyebrow, but still give in, taking his hands and trying to wrap yours in a way so it can bring some warmth. He chuckles, moving them to properly hold them
“I missed you” he sighs after some silence “I thought I was over you, that I'd be able to move on and find someone else, but I couldn't. I tried, I had some girlfriends, but it never felt…right, and I didn't know why. Until I saw you in the gym again. I actually hoped that you would have move on, so at least i didn't have a single chance, but here we are”
“...here we are”
These past days, you also thought you were over him, that your feelings for him were nothing more than nostalgia, but this week you were so happy, so happy to have him again.
But the truth is, you didn't have him back. He wasn't yours again.
“But I'm not dating you again. After your training camp here is over, you're going back to Argentina, and I don't want to leave Japan; long distance relationships aren't safe either. I love you too much to hold you back now that you finally achieve the dream that you work so hard for, I'm not that selfish”
You barely can finish your sentence before you feel his lips on yours. You're surprised, but your body instinctively reacts to it, kissing him back. His lips were just as soft as they were years ago, and the kiss made you feel the same butterflies as if you were 16 years old.
“I have a week more, give me some time” he whispers, his hands cupping your face as if you were the most delicate thing he has ever hold “but for now, let me have this again”
That night you both end up in your house, making up for all the years you both lost.
.
A week later and Oikawa proves to be the same amazing boyfriend that he was before. He still manages to make you blush, manages to prove just how much he missed you.
Now you're in your apartment, he was talking on the phone, an important call that led him to your room -after giving you an apologetic kiss- while you were sitting on the couch. 30 minutes passed when he comes out again, a smile on his face.
“Hey princess” he calls you, pulling you closer as he sits “remember that I'm leaving tomorrow night?”
“Yeah…why?” you were trying to avoid thinking about it, knowing that tomorrow night your heart will be broken again
“Well, I know you said that long distance relationships are impossible for us, but…” he press your forehead closer “will you be able to wait for me every few months?”
“Eh? Stop going around the bush and say it” you hit him slightly, anxious to know what he has planned
“So impatient” he chuckles, kissing you again “tomorrow I'm signing an exclusive contract with Panasonic Panthers. I'm playing for Argentina for the important leagues, meaning VNL, the Olympics and such; but for smaller leagues happening within the country, I'll play here, meaning I can stay here for a few months and come back to Argentina for the rest”
You were ecstatic, shocked with the sudden news about it, you kiss him.
“But…but didn't you go to San Juan because of the coach? Don't you want to stay there?” you ask worried
“Yeah, and it was amazing to be trained by him…but coming here I realized that you are my home, that I want to be with you, and some sacrifices need to be made” he pulls you into his lap, holding you close as he looks at you into your eyes “i already sacrificed you for the sake of my dream, now that my dream became reality, I'm not sacrificing you again”

꧁༺ 𝓜𝓮𝓮𝓽 𝓬𝓾𝓽𝓮: 𝓢𝓪𝓴𝓾𝓼𝓪 ༻꧂
You were in your favorite coffee shop after your day at work had finished, a small and very cozy shop that was in the middle of Tokyo that surprisingly didn’t have many customers for being in the heart of the country.
After a very tiring day you decided to visit, ordering your favorite pastry and coffee to have while continuing the book you were reading at the moment: The Flowers of Buffoonery by Osamu Dazai.
You were comfortably reading there when suddenly loud voices start to come closer, soon entering the café four people with big bags.
“I told you this place is so quiet! Almost nobody here!” one with greyish hair says
“How d’ya know about this, Bokuto-san? Ya don’t read” one with blonde hair asks
“Akaashi showed it to me when we where in uni!”
“Akaashi-san does seem like someone who would like this place” an orange hair one says now.
You noticed that the black hair one didn’t say anything, in fact he looked rather annoyed by his friends; but deciding to mind your own business, you continue reading while they order. Soon enough they came to sit near you, enthusiastically talking about volleyball and whatever had happened in their practice. You had seen them before, but not enough to know their names.
“Excuse me” you hear a few minutes after, the orange hair dude now beside you smiling brightly “It says Osamu Dazai? Like the dude from Bungo Stray Dogs?”
“Eh? Well, yeah, but…”
“Osamu? Ma brother was named after an author?” the blonde one says, taking his things and setting himself on your table
“You idiots, Osamu Dazai is a real person and a famous author” the black hair one says, looking carefully at the book as the other ones also join you
“Yeah, but it is true that he appears on the anime, all characters are based on real life authors, Dazai being one of them”
“ahh, I see! Thanks for letting us join you! I’m Hinata Shoyo” the orange hair says smiling, making it harder for you to even be mad at them
Surprisingly enough, despite being strangers, they made you feel really comfortable, everyone being chatty and making sure you join their conversation.
“I heard that this book it’s quite good, the protagonist is recovering after a suicide attempt, right?” Sakusa asks you, looking at the book again
“yeah, he’s the only survivor out of the couple. Its much more…joyful than his previous works”
“I see, I might try reading it. How did you found out about it?”
“honestly…because of the anime” you chuckle, making him have a faint smile “it is very good though, so I’m kinda glad I did pick it up”
“I’ve heard of the author, never actually check it out though” he says while looking over at his teammates, who know where loudly discussing about a match “sorry about them, you were reading peacefully and they came and ruined that”
“it’s alright, I don’t mind. They’re funny”
“They’re annoying”
“Omi-kun! Why do ya look more comfortable with her than us? We’ve know each other since high school!” Atsumu whines with a small smirk
“Unlike you bunch, she knows how to act outside”
“Ah! I know! We have a game on Sunday, why don’t you come to watch us Yn-chan?” Hinata asks you, also with a knowing look on his eyes, it seems that the three other players realized something about Sakusa
“Yeah, we can show you how awesome we are! You can see Omi-kun in action too!” Bokuto adds, a slight shade of red in your cheeks
“We have to go, we have practice early tomorrow” Sakusa stands ups, sending a sharp look to the guys and making them stand up saying their goodbyes. Sakusa is the last one to leave, looking at you right before he left “I do hope you can come to see us….maybe you can lend me that book after”

'Traitor'
In where you're Oikawa's little sister...and the captain of the volleyball team in Shiratorizawa High
So first, Oikawa was pissed when you decided to joined Shiratorizawa
A total drama queen, claiming that you betrayed him and his older brother Ego and whatever dramatic excuse he could find
But after the initial shock, a sense of proudness took over him…much to his dismay
Look, he hated Shiratorizawa, but he knew that they were good
So that you were able to join an important school because of your volleyball talent was something to praise…even if it low-key hurt his pride
He wanted you to join Aoba Johsai
Now, despite everything, he always went to cheer you on
It didn’t matter where it was the Nationals, if you were going, he was to
So when in your second year -and his third year- you became the captain of the girls team, he was excited.
So excited, he decided to take you out to have dinner at your favorite restaurant, after all his little sister was following his steps
It was Friday, so you cut your practice a little shorter to go to Aoba Johsai and wait for him
Once in the school, you went directly to the gym, finding Iwaizumi on the way
He knew you, being the longest and best friend of Oikawa he was bound to meet you at some point, so you to always kept contact
“hey, captain too, huh? Proud of you, kiddo. Rub it in Shittykawa face” he says ruffling your hair “Let me present you the team, i don’t remember if Shittykawa has tell them he has a little sister”
Oikawa, in fact, didn’t tell them
Once you entered with Iwaizumi you hear people calling his name, from the looks of it, the other third years
One with Black hair and one with brown hair, who smirk and tease Iwaizumi after noticing you, the unknown girl
The second and first years looked mostly confused, but still respecting their senior privacy, they didn’t comment much
One though, a cat looking boy, was just looking at you…and then at his captain, who just walked out of the lockers
“oh? Yn-chan? Here already?” he asks you, smiling at you as he comes closer “shit, we need to go! I made reservations and all!”
“Wait, wait, wait there, you’re not presenting us?” the other black hair dude grins
“Why would I want to present her to guys like you?” Oikawa retorts, you stay there watching amused
“‘Like us’? As if you aren’t the one who constantly has girls around him. Pretty, why are you even dating this loser?” the brown hair one asks you
“Dating?” you ask confused. You look at your brother, who also has a dumbfounded look, and start laughing
“She’s beautiful, isn’t she? I guess beauty runs in the family…but I clearly was the favorite one” Oikawa says, which made you raise your eyebrow before hitting him
“Well, I guess you had to have something since you lack in the intelligence department” you say back
“Eh?! I’m incredibly intelligent, mind you!”
"Sure are…”
“I am!” you two start bickering “and I’m even better at volleyball, by the way!”
“Oh really? And who got into Shiratorizawa and became captain of her team first, huh?”
“I decline Shiratorizawa, not the other way around!” you two keep going, why? Because you’re siblings, and what type of siblings don’t pointlessly argue?
“emm….not to interrupt but…you two are family? And you are from Shiratorizawa?” the black hair asks, everyone in the team, outside of Iwaizumi, was just confused
After a brief introduction and explanation of everything, things were settled down
But not before Matsukawa and Hanamaki started teasing his captain because of all the achievements you had before him
You and Iwaizumi of course joined the teasing, even some second and first years were slightly joining
After a few minutes though, you look at your brother, making sure he wasn’t actually hurt by any of the teasing remarks. Both of you may annoy the life out of each other, but will always end up supporting each other dreams
In conclusion, meeting his team was definitely chaotic, but you could tell that they care and respect your brother, also accepting you as part of their family now
Which means that now you also have a whole bunch of new cheerleaders that are ready to cheer you on, even if it hurts their pride a little.

Hey there! is it possible for me to make a request? I really like your writing!
I was thinking, reader as Oikawa's twin sister— for the very first time got introduced to his teammates... Now, the thing is, reader is also the captain in her volleyball team but— in the Shiratorizawa volleyball girls team... I would really like to see Seijoh reactions when seeing reader!
I'm sorry if I'm not making any sense here
-🐇anon
Heey! Thank you so much for reading my stuff^_^.
I totally can do that! However, I'm thinking of changing it from a twin sister to his little sister, a year younger than him. I feel like that could make a little more sense why some of the team hasn't heard of her and stuff. I'll post it soon, so keep an eye out!

Bad Habits
Feat. Aoba Johsai
When you joined the team on your second year, after Iwaizumi had asked you for help to deal with the new first year, everything started normally, you didn’t have any problems whatsoever and got along with everyone amazingly good. But it was by the end of the year that you started to fall into your more unhealthy habits. Habits that had appeared since you entered high school, but that became stronger now that you had to care for the team too
You knew it was due stress, the end of the year was always full of things and you were terrible at managing it properly. You had started to stay up until much later, studying or working on project until way too late, barely sleeping 3 hours at max; because of that, you started to feel incredibly tired through the day, leading you into buying energy drinks often to keep you awake, on your worst days you could easily chug down 4 a day with no issues; also because of your lack of sleep, your eye bags started to become more noticeable, not even concealer being able to cover them properly; and worst of all, because of the stress, you occasionally ended up smoking, and while not an often thing, you still do it
You were able to hide it from the team for a while, but the more the end of the year comes closer, the more noticeable it became.
The first one that notice was Oikawa, who could smell the smoke in your clothes in one of his hugs, but he shrugged it off since he thought it was from one of your friends that was known for smoking. Then Iwaizumi noticed the energy drinks, especially when in one day he saw you drink it at lunch, then before starting practice and then buying two more after you part ways; but again, he shrugged it off since sometimes he has rough days too. Then Kindaichi found you sleeping in a weird position on your classroom, surprised you could even sleep like that
It wasn’t until Kunimi said something on the changing room that they started to connect things together
“Did you guys knew that Yn-san smokes?” he asks
“Yn-chan? She doesn’t, her friend does though, that’s why she smells like that sometimes” Oikawa answers
“No, no, I saw her outside with a cigarette and a energy drink…she honestly looked miserable” Kunimi adds
“Energy drink? Again? She had one at lunch” Hanamaki adds
“yeah, and she arrived with one in the morning” Matsukawa says now. They stayed silent for a few seconds, everyone thinking
“That idiot” Iwaizumi sighs “she’s stressed”
“eh? How do you know?”
“Last year I saw her smoking, I scolded her and made her promise to tell me if she needed help or anything. I hadn’t thought that she fell back on it, I should have realized when I saw her with those energy drinks” Iwaizumi sighs again, looking disappointed
“Well, she does drink them from time to time, but now she seems to be abusing it. Don’t beat yourself up for it, man” Matsukawa says as they go out the room, you were already standing there, looking at the clipboard attentively. Iwaizumi walks towards you and yanks you away from the coaches, the whole team in front of you
“So, Yn-chan, something to tell us?” oikawa looks at you, his hands on his hips
“Ehhh…nope, not really” you say confused
“I see. You know, health is the most important thing, you always tell me to not overwork myself”
“what shittykawa wants to say is, we know about your…unhealthy habits, are you stressed out? Why didn’t you tell me? Tell us?” Iwaizumi asks you
“I…I didn’t want to trouble you, that’s all”
“idiot” Iwaizumi flicks your forehead “Stop smoking, Yn-chan, and sleep more, you look terrible”
“you can drink some energy drinks here and there, but don’t abuse it” Oikawa adds
“I hate that this is coming from you out of everyone” you say, making him squint his eyes
“We love you, so take care of you just like you take care of us” Matsukawa says, all of the team hugging you tightly.

𝓗𝓪𝓲𝓴𝔂𝓾𝓾 𝓫𝓸𝔂𝓼 𝓶𝓮𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓪 𝓹𝓲𝓬𝓴-𝓶𝓮 𝓰𝓲𝓻𝓵 - Part 2
Feat. Aoba Johsai & Fukurodani
Premise: You had to do something else for a week and a half, leaving the boys alone for that period. Although they told the coaches that they could survive without you, the coaches ask a girl to help them out instead. They weren’t particularly excited, which got worse the more they spent time with her
Aoba Johsai
Since Seijoh’s volleyball club was very popular among the students, the coach had no problems in looking for someone to be there while you weren’t
In fact, the coach found two, mostly because there were a lot of duties during that week
Unnecessary in the eyes of the team, they were fine before you, they don’t need two of them now
Not even a day passed when the team were dreading this decision; not only they were Oikawa fans to begin with, but they were also annoying
Even Oikawa couldn’t find joy in this situation
The normally heartthrob of the team, the one that adores receiving attention, couldn’t stand them, missing your *playful* punches and scoldings
You luckily were able to hang out with them after their Sunday practice, when it had become a tradition to go to the nearest shopping mall to eat a meal as a team
So to surprise them, you went there without them, planning to raid their table
When you saw them walking into the food court you couldn’t help but giggle, one girl was holding the arm of a very disgusted Oikawa, while the other was clearly acting like a dude alongside an annoyed Iwaizumi, everyone else ignoring them
You started looking at the menus, deciding what to eat, ordering a burger and some fries
“Wow, you’re eating…that? Someone is not thinking about hot girls summer” you hear from your left, one of the girls looking at you as if you were committing a sin
“yeah I don’t care”
“That’s all you’re getting? I could not eat only that, I’m ordering like 6 burgers” another voice comes from your other side, the other girl was there too
“…ok” you say, starting to understand why the team was so fed up with them. The team looks mean, but they were never unnecessary rude
“can I have a salad? I wish I could eat..that, but I’m too worried about how I look, you know” the girl in your left says
“I just got done playing volleyball with the team, so I need like…6.000.000 calories, imagine only eating a salad” the other says, making you sigh
“I love your make up, by the way! It’s so…natural, I wish I had the confidence to not care about how I look on public, good for you!” the girl says with a sarcastic tone
“imagine even wearing make up every day and trying that hard, like I just roll out of bed an-”
“I don’t care about any of your thoughts, so shut up please” you say annoyed, you didn’t know if you were annoyed, uncomfortable or straight up angry, but before you could add anything else an arm wraps your shoulder
“Yn-chaan!” Oikawa squishes you
“Yn-san, you’re here!” Kindaichi exclaims, relief appearing on his face. Kunimi gets slightly closer to you, a move that means that he wants some type of affection, so you pat his head
“Y-you know her?” the princess type of girl asks, eyes wide
“She is our dear manager” Matsukawa adds, Hanamaki nodding with a smirk that only grew bigger when the girl shrieks
“H-her?! But she looks so weak! And I bet she doesn’t know shit about sports! Like.. she’s a girl!” the ‘tomboy’ girl says now
“don’t get too comfortable now, you were just a substitute for her, not the other way around. She is the best manager we could ever ask for” Oikawa says mockingly, hugging you tighter
“b-b-but…”
“you can leave now, we have our manager back, we don’t need you two here anymore” Iwaizumi ends the conversation, taking your tray with food as they all take you to the table
“I still have a few days that I can’t be there” you tell them once you were sitting
“we’ll manage” Iwaizumi says
“What Yn-chaan? Are you sure you aren’t missing this handsome face of mi-ouch!” Oikawa tries to say, but you punch him making the team laugh
You were at peace again
Fukurodani
Despite having another managers in their rooster, the coach decided to ask the manager of other team to help them out
After all the team is big, so another hand wouldn’t be bad
The team was nice, so they did try their best to make her feel welcome eve if it was for a week and a half
But she was making things hard
Washio tried to be a gentleman, but he ended up not interacting much with her
Konoha, in the other hand, was sarcastic, but she was either too dense or too delusional to realize
Akaashi tried to be understanding, but even he was starting to get tired of it
And Bokuto, even with his loud and extroverted personality, ended up just trying to avoid her
When you came back, you had the *amazing* opportunity to meet her first hand, right after entering the gym
What the guys have told you wasn’t particularly encouraging, yet you still wanted to give her a fair shot
“Why are you looking at me? It’s just a knee brace, you never seen something like this?” she tells you, before you could even say hi
“well, hi, nice to meet you too”
“So…you are the manager? The one that I’m replacing? Well, of course you don’t know what this is, since you don’t play any sports”
“well, before I kinda did some cheerleading, but it wasn't for me so I joined this idiots and…”
“exactly! Cheerleading isn’t a sport! Gosh, how are you even the manager of this team”
“Yn!!” Bokuto enters the gym, hugging you tightly as he spins around. Akaashi was behind, who gives you a smile
“If you were wondering! I got injured by playing football…and then basketball and then volleyball with the boys, remember that Bokuto?!”
“eh..nope” bokuto answers confused
“Well me neither”
“anyways! I’m back on the team, so thank you for…well, being here. I’ll take care of it from here on out…unless the guys want you to stay..?” you say
“NO!” a collective answer came in, way too quickly. You resisted a laugh
“well, that settles it, good luck with your knee brace” you push her out softly, a grunt coming from her
“Thank god you’re back Yn-chan” Akaashi tells you, the team patting your head lovingly
“we should celebrate! After practice lets go to eat!” Bokuto adds
“okay! Bokuto is paying!” Konoha says, going to the court to start practicing
You see bokuto whine as he goes too, everyone joining while making fun of the owl boy.

Aaaaaa do u think u could do hcs for this?
Aoba johsai with a fem manager (who's also iwaizumis gf) is someone that has sort of an unhealthy lifestyle. Like she smokes cigars (if that's okay w u) has a bad sleep schedule which results to messy hair and eyebags, buys monster energy drinks like everyday and is occasionally forced to use leftover athletic tape to wrap her fingers and arms because of the bruises she gets for being clumsy, maybe it's cause she had nothing else or is just too tired to go buy proper bandages
Of course, I'll post it in a few days, so stay tuned :)

hellooo how are you? i was wondering if i could request a scenario where reader finds out her friends were fake, and theyre super rude to her and the boys find out and how they would react. with bokuto, akaashi, and kuroo :3 and if you could add atsumu or suna in there, that would be cool but if not its okay!! thank you so much <3
Of course! Thanks for liking my works! Here's what i came up with
Feat. Kuroo, Bokuto & Suna-> Masterlist
Fake friends
Kuroo
You were sitting in the café while waiting for Kuroo to arrive, he just texted you saying that he’ll be a few minutes late to your date, but you didn’t notice the message, too in your head to even hear the ring of your phone.
Lately you been feeling like your friends were being unnecessary mean to you. Sure, you always were a bit rude to each other, you always were playfully fighting with each other, but things never cross the line about your personal boundaries…until a few weeks ago. Suddenly you fights didn’t had that playful tone in them, they started to feel real, and suddenly, they were messing with things that you had told them were sensitive. You thought that you will be friends with them despite the distance between your univerties, but when you meet up again in person everything felt so different.
You were so absorbed in your thoughts, trying to figure out if you had done anything to them, that you hadn’t listen the door of the cafeteria open, let alone the steps coming close to you or the sweet voice of your boyfriend calling your name; you only snapped away from them when a hand places on your shoulder, Kuroo looking down at you worried as he kisses your temple and sitting down in front of you.
“hey, what’s wrong?” he asked
“Eh? Nothing, don’t worry” you smile at him, hesitant to tell him
“Yeah, sure, tell that to your face next time too” he says playfully, trying to make you smile “you can tell me anything, I’ll help you out however I can”
“well, it’s just….” You sigh before explaining to him the thoughts that were in your head prior to his arrival. He just sighs, he knows your friends and he thought that your bickering was cute, but there was no mistake in their recent actions
“well darling, I could always talk to them if you want me to” he offers, trying to find a rational solution for you first “but…”
“mhm?”
“I personally don’t think is worth it to keep them around any longer” he says, he didn’t want to keep you away from them, but the hurt in your eyes wasn’t a lie “you told them you didn’t like those ‘jokes’, they didn’t listen. If they don’t respect your boundaries there’s no point in being friends”
“I…I” You listen to him attentively before bursting down crying, you knew he was right, of course he was “we’ve been friends for so long though, they were my only friends since high school…”
“I know, darling, I know” he comes to your side, hugging you “you have me for whatever you need; Kenma too, he does like you a lot too even though his personality doesn’t show it; hell, even Bokuto adores you and he met you once before” he says, making you chuckle “and I have no doubt you’ll meet more people in your classes, you’re amazing, anyone that doesn’t want to be your friend is the idiot”
You chuckle again, relaxing into his arms as you try to calm down. Everything will be alright as long as you had him by your side.
“now, let’s order something and go to my place?” he asks you
“Sure, let’s go”
Bokuto
You were hanging out with your friends while waiting for Bokuto to arrive. Well, hanging out with them was an overstatement, after all you were being left out of the conversation after trying to join multiple times, leaving you on the side while they giggle about whatever they were talking about. You eyes were stinging due to the tears that were about to come out, feeling depressed about the way this day has ended.
Originally you and your so called friends were going to hang out during the day on a convention after months of not seeing each other, and everything seemed rather normal in the beginning; but not even an hour has passed when you noticed that they slowly started to put you aside. First every comment you made was ignored or laugh off, then they left you behind while walking, and now they seemed to completely forgotten that you were even there as they talk about a relationship of one of them that you weren’t even aware it was happening. You wanted to call Bokuto to pick you up early, but you knew he had practice so you laugh it off and wait.
But once you saw Bokuto walking towards you, excited grin on his face as he waves his hand, that you tears started to roll down involuntary. With Bokuto affection and attention was never a problem, but after feeling so unappreciated today, his overexcited self was so welcomed.
He saw your tears, confused as to why you were crying before he noticed the way you were sitting alongside your so called friends. They were all together on one side of the table while you were alone on the other, no one sitting beside you as they chit chat with each other. He walked faster towards you, unexpectedly pulling you up of the chair and giving you a big hug
“Hi, my cutie pie” he hugs you tightly, the eyes of your friends popping out as they realize just who was in front of them “why didn’t you called me earlier if you were uncomfortable?”
“you had practice”
“that can wait, coach would have understand!” he adds, taking your bag in his shoulder as he pulls you even closer to him. He then turn towards your friends, who are babbling something to you, and gives them an uncharacteristically serious look “you should be ashamed, no one deserves to be ignored om purpose, let alone someone that you call your friend”
With that he pulls you away from them, but instead of going to his car, he takes you to some stalls
“Aren’t we going home?” you asked
“Well, it’ll be a waste not to enjoy this place! Besides you probably didn’t actually enjoy it, so let’s have some fun first!” he says going back to his carefree self, and while you didn’t know if he did it to cheer you up or because he did actually wanted to be in the convention, you did up enjoying it this time around with your lover.
Suna
You lay in the bed waiting for Suna to come to lay with you, watching social media while he showers after a long day of practice. You had to take your make up off, but were feeling too lazy to stand up right now.
You were supposed to go out with your friends tonight, nothing too crazy, just some hangout with them; but at the last minute they message you telling you that it was cancelled since something had come up. You didn’t mind, you didn’t really enjoyed going out anyways, so staying in with Suna make you more than happy.
That was until you entered Instagram and saw the stories posted.
You saw the normal stories from her day, until you arrived to one that was posted 30 minutes ago, in the place that you were supposed to hang out. You tried to not overthink about it, maybe she ended up going alone since she was already ready; but then you saw the next one, which was posted in the closest friend tab, with the three of them hanging out there and having fun.
Oh.
“hey, we need to buy more shampoo, we close to running out of – you okay?” Suna tells you going out of the bathroom, only a towel on his hips. You pass him your phone, letting him see the stories your ‘friends’ posted as he raise his eyebrows, visibly annoyed “those bitches are the lowest of the low”
You chuckle weakly, you knew he would be the first to curse at them
“hey, you haven’t take that pretty make up off, have you?” he asks tossing the phone in the bed, taking some clothes off the closet
“No I haven’t, why?”
“Well, put some pretty dress on, were going to have some dinner” he says
“weren’t we going to order some take out and watch movies?”
“and let them think they won? Not in my watch, pretty, they have the nerve of post their hangout knowing that you’ll see them, so now it’s your turn to brag”
You chuckle, he was petty, you knew that, so this shouldn’t surprise you at all
“and how do you plan to find a place with space for us?”
“nothing some money can’t help” he winks at you “lets go, a fancy dinner is waiting for my pretty girl”
You did end up in a fancy restaurant, in a table with the best view of Tokyo and the group of your ‘friends’ blowing up with notifications about how sorry they were. You’ll make sure to block them later, for now you’ll enjoy the dinner with your boyfriend.

𝓗𝓪𝓲𝓴𝔂𝓾𝓾 𝓫𝓸𝔂𝓼 𝓶𝓮𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓪 𝓹𝓲𝓬𝓴-𝓶𝓮 𝓰𝓲𝓻𝓵
Feat. Nekoma & Inarizaki -> Part 2 [Aoba Johsai & Fukurodani]
Premise: You had to do something else for a week and a half, leaving the boys alone for that period. Although they told the coaches that they could survive without you, the coaches ask a girl to help them out instead. They weren’t particularly excited, which got worse the more they spent time with her
Nekoma
You arrived later than you expected, just on time for the club, So you didn’t get to see your dear team until much later
When you enter the gym, you see a…strange view
No one in the team was happy
Yaku and Kai didn’t have any expressions on them, Lev was pouting aggressively, Fukunaga had a frown, Yamamoto was mumbling words and Kenma was nowhere to be seen.
The girl that was supposed to replace you for the week was walking besides a very annoyed Kuroo, who was pushing the cart with the balls
Weird, considering that doing that was the basics for being a manager
They were so out of it that none notice the sound of your shoes, weird considering how attentive they are
“Ah Kuroo senpai, thank God you helped me! I’m so small and weak that I wasn’t able to push it over” you heard her say, making you cringe at the sentence
“Yeah, whatever” said a disinteresting Kuroo
And that’s when you confirm that something was really wrong, Kuroo was never this dismissive
“What’s happening? Everything ok?” you asked making Kuroo turn around with a relief smile on
“Oh hi, Kuroo senpai was just helping me since you know, I’m so small and weak” says fluttering her eyes at him
“It’s just pushing the cart. It has wheels on it…” You gave a disbelief look to Kuroo, who just rolls his eyes “it’s not that hard”
“Maybe for someone as big as you it wouldn’t be so difficult!”
That was it for Kuroo, who quickly move to your side giving you a hug
“Well, guess you can leave now that our manager is back. Bye”
"Kuroo-senpai!! Stooop! I can stay here too!” says stomping her feet
The whole commotion cause everyone to look at you, and you swear you heard a collective sigh full of relief
Quickly enough you felt a bunch of arms around you, a bunch of head pats and a ton of screams of your name
Which quickly was interrupted by a loud scream by the girl “KYANMA!!”
You look at the stairs where Kenma was standing shaking slightly with big eyes. The girl tried to get close to him, yelling “They are being mean, Kyanma!” but he just runs away towards you
Yes. Run. He hated her, she was so loud and desperate, Kenma literally couldn’t stand her.
“You’re back” says Kenma hiding behind you, showing more happiness that you ever have seen from him
So happy that he went to hug you tightly, he really missed you
“Anyways, now that our team is finally complete you can leave. Please go out” says Kuroo
“Agh! Fine! I’m way too good for you anyways!”
She sends you a look full of venom, but you didn’t really notice it
After all, you had a clingy Kenma hugging you tightly and the rest of the team waiting for one
Inarizaki
After your small break reached an end you finally were ready to go back to your boys
They were having a small hangout in the Miya household
They tried to be sneaky about it, not wanting to invite the girl that was replacing you
But sadly for them, she somehow knew and crash into them before you could arrive
She’s the first person you see when you enter their house with the spare key they gave you
“Who are you?” she asks with her eyebrow raising
“Ehh…I’m Yn, their manager. You helped them while i was out?” You ask back, confused at her sudden presence
“Yes…I actually think I should be the new manager! After all I play like 17 sports and definitely know more than you about sports. What do you think this is? Cheer? Not like it’s a sport, but whatever” she says with a overconfident smirk
In the meantime the guys that were already in the house starting to appear into the hall, confused at how loud her voice was being
“Anyways! Why don’t you leave? A girl like you probably doesn’t even know a thing about sports! We’re gonna play videogames while you probably just want to paint your nails or whatever!”
“Who says you’re staying?” Atsumu says, frowning
“Ha Ha, you’re so funny Atsumu! Of course I’m staying” she says nervous
“No, you’re not” Osamu adds
“I’m sure we can all hang out tog-” you try to say
“You shut it! I bet you don’t know anything about the sport!” She says to you despite you trying to help her
“Really? You barely even know what we play, you just join because you wanted to see hot guys” a voice behind you says, Suna entering the house as he passes his arm through your shoulders
The girl immediately went pale, stammering the next sentence “well…well, I mean, of course I know!”
“Sure, that's why you asked 'if we knew' the rules of basketball yesterday. Just leave, nobody wants you here anyway”
She scoffs annoyed, looking at the rest of the team as if asking for help, which she doesn’t receive. She scoffs one more time, walking towards the door and leaving as she shoots a glare towards you
“You guys are so mean” you say, receiving a chuckle
“She deserved it, if anything she just hinder our practice” Osamu adds
“Besides, nobody talks about our beautiful manager like that” Atsumu hugs you along side Suna
The rest of the team also comes to hug you, and while they were a bit rude, you knew that they only had good intentions
You love this foxes too much
----
Note: a little something about my boys, also, I cringed way too much while writing this

Summary: After the match against the U-20 you are given 2 weeks of freedom, with your decision taken, you use this time to tell the truth to as many as you can and spend time with the people you grew to love
Part 11 - Part 12 [Final] -> Masterlist
"So this is where you live, quite big for living alone" you say walking around Nagi's place, you could see the last drops of light from the sunset entering through the windows,
After the match you were given 2 weeks off where you could finally go outside. You were planning to go back to Hyogo, but the guys had planned to do a reunion outside of the project to finally see each other in another ambience. You weren't planning on going, since Hyogo was far away from Tokyo and you didn't want to spend half a day just getting there, but Nagi told you you could stay with him for a day or two.
Now, your relationship with Nagi has been quite different since that kiss. He hasn't asked you out, therefore you weren't technically together, but he's definitely much clingier with you; you didn't mind this, though, it was too soon to actually date each other.
"Yeah, my parents chose it" he says, passing his arms through your shoulders "it's nice, and it's close to a lot of things"
"I noticed, i think i saw an arcade coming here"
"Yeah, there's many actually" he says, kissing your shoulder before moving to his bed, starting a game on his phone. You took some of your clothes out, putting them on top of a dresser he had, you feel uneasiness in your stomach for tomorrow's reactions
"Are you telling them tomorrow?" Nagi asks, you didn't know if he noticed your discomfort or if he knew you that good already
"Yeah, I'm telling them everything. They deserve to know"
"I don't get why though, why does it matter so much?"
"Not everyone is so unbothered like you are Sei" you chuckle, sitting on the bed
"But the princess didn't care either, so why are you so nervous?" He asks once again "agh, i died"
"Chigiri…he's different, it's nerve-wracking telling everyone that what they thought was a lie" you say, your feet tapping the floor nervously. Suddenly Nagi's hands wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to the window in where the stars were starting to appear
"It'll be fine, don't worry too much about it" he pets your head "By the way, that's Choki, he helps me wake up"
"Don't tell me you purposely touch it to wake up" you chuckle
"I won't tell you then" you both stay like this for a few minutes, you watching the view while Nagi lazily lays his head on your shoulder "...are you sure about leaving Blue Lock?"
"Yeah, i already thought about it, it's the best for me and everyone"
"Then I'll allow it" he presses his head closer in your neck
"I don't need your permission" you chuckle "I'm gonna go to arrange the couch"
"The couch? Why?"
"Where else am I going to sleep?"
"You're not sleeping in the couch" you feel him frown, pulling you down into the bed with him as he puts himself on top of you, laying his head on your chest "you're comfy"
"Thanks" you chuckle, playing with his hair "we should order some food, it's pretty late already"
"What a paiin" he whines, getting his phone anyway.
++
You woke up pretty late, around 10 am, with a pair of arms tightly holding in place and warmth feeling warmth breath in the back of your neck. After eating dinner yesterday Nagi decided to cuddle with you while he plays on one of his consoles, you sitting in between his legs as his hands were right in front of both of you; and once you both got tired, he simply laid you down on your side and proceeded to fall asleep.
"Oi, giant baby" you poke his side, making him groan "you're phone just rang"
"What a pain. Who is it?"
"Isagi, we have to meet them, remember?"
"...Right, ugh, don't wanna" he says, answering his messages before stretching out
You get up from the bed and go to the bathroom to get ready, it was late already, so you went to get ready first assuming Nagi will take forever to do something. Once you leave the bathroom Nagi was already sitting, waiting to use it
"You look pretty" he says to you "it's weird seeing you with a skirt, thought"
"This is the first time you see me with outside clothes, of course it's gonna be weird"
"Well yeah, but i like it either way" he kisses your head while going to the bathroom and getting ready. Once done, him wearing an oversized white hoodie and sweatpants, you both go out "hey, let's go that arcade"
"But we have to meet the guys.."
"They can wait, let's go" he takes your hand, dragging you towards the arcade
You decided to give in, after all it was a vacation, you could enjoy things freely for now. At some point you started playing different games, you were stuck in a claw machine while he was playing Street Fighter since he wanted his online record to go up again. After you got another figurine from one of the machines, you heard a big commotion coming from where Nagi was, noticing a bunch of Blue Lock members.
You started to feel nervous, but at this point there was nothing you could do, so you started walking towards them.
"Hey Sei, i got the figurines" you say, instantly getting intimidated by the fact all eyes went to you, looking at you up and down. Chigiri eyes looked at you amused, crossing his arms as he winks at you
"Oya? Did we interrupt a date, Nagi-chin?" Karasu asks with a cheeky grin. Reo was looking at you confused, almost as if he could recognize you
"How did you score such a hottie? You, out of all people" Otoya adds "hi there cutie"
"But didn't you know we had a reunion? Why did you plan it for today?" Asks Yukimiya
"Maybe she's a classmate?" Asks Bachira
"Nah, I've never seen her at our school" adds Reo
"Eh?" Confused faces appear
"Ok, why don't we let her introduce herself so we can know?" Chigiri says, giving you an encouraging look
"Well first…" you go to sit next to Nagi, your heart beating fast "hi again guys"
"I'm Yn…i was your teammate" you say, even more confusion arises
"Yn…Yn-kun? Is that you?" Isagi asks, making you nod "you were a girl all this time?"
"Yep"
"There's no way…how were you able to play in the match against the U-20 while being a girl?" Otoya asks, Chigiri raising his eyebrow annoyed at the comment
"Well, she's just amazing, isn't she?" Chigiri comes closer to ruffle your hair, you trying to stop him
"So you knew, Chigiri? And you Nagi?"
"Yeah" simply shrugs Nagi, as he keeps playing
"Nagi untied my binder and almost saw my chest, then i told Chigiri cause i felt bad about lying to him" you explain, some heads nodding "Ego ask me to join to help Team Z bloom and give him information, i was only supposed to be until the first round, but i proved to be too good to just…leave the project…sorry for lying to y'all"
"It's alright, it doesn't change much to me, especially if Ego knew" Yukimiya says, smiling to you as he extends his hand "it's nice finally meeting you Yn-chan, you're very pretty"
"Thanks" you shake his hand, smiling at him
"Well, that explains why Nagi suddenly started to act like this with you, nice meeting you Yn-chan, take good care of that idiot for me" Reo says nudging your shoulder with a grin, making you roll your eyes
"It doesn't change much for me either! I like you because of you, not your gender!" Bachira passes his arm through your shoulder, hugging you tightly
"Me too, plus you're a good player" Isagi adds, smiling at you like everyone else "but…why are you telling us now? You could have continued like it was, couldn't you?"
"Well, yeah…but I already reached a conclusion. I'm leaving Blue Lock" you confessed, some eyes widen
"What!? Why? You're soo good to just leave!" Retorts Isagi
"Well, I can't tell you exactly what's coming for the project, but it's supposed to help you out for your futures in a more direct way, and I can't have that. I can't be on a professional team because I'm a girl, and I can't play professionally on a woman's team because I'm too used to playing with dudes, so I'm gonna leave the project"
"Well, it makes sense, now that we won against the U-20 there's probably gonna be a lot more professional teams looking at us, you won't be able to hide this type of things to them" adds Karasu, making you nod
"Anyways! Let's enjoy this free day even more then! Since we won't have Yn-chan with us after this" Bachira stands up, grabbing your hand while taking you with him to the claw machines you previously were in
You end up with a lot of prices given to you after some of the guys won in them; then you move to the darts, where Nagi was forced to "accept his punishment" by being in the front of the darts board while you were losing in a battle with Yukimiya; then you move to pool, where Aryu showed his stylish moves; and then to ping pong, where you took turns to play into teams.
"How about karaoke?" Reo asks, his arms on your shoulders as you guys walk
"Let's go"
"We can hear you sing, darling, that'll be interesting" Reo adds, petting your hair
"Shut it, elite, who says I'm singing" you hit his stomach, making him laugh. In that moment you all noticed some girls coming out of a room angry, Aiku being the reason. You didn't know if you wanted to tell him who you were or not, so you stayed quiet while they exchange some words
"Oh? Who's this girl? Of course you would have a girl already, Mikage-kun, but bringing her with you while hanging out with the boys?" Aiku tells him, you exchange a look with Reo, shaking your head slightly
"She's a friend of mine, she happened to be here today too, so she joined us" he says skillfully, understanding your signs as he takes his arm off
"I see…well then, may I know your name, pretty girl?" Aiku says to you, making you scrunch your face. It wasn't that he was ugly, he sure wasn't, but it still made you awkward
"Yn, nice to meet you" you say shortly
"Pretty name for a pretty lady, want to join me?" Aiku winks at you at the same time you feel a pair of hands sneaking on your waist, pulling you back until your back touched a chest and a chin rest on your head
"We fighting?" Nagi says, beside you were also Yukimiya, Karasu, Otoya and Aryu, all saying some type of comments while the door of the U-20 team opens and reveals the whole team there.
"You okay, pretty?" Nagi whispers at you
"Yeah, just didn't know how to react" you say, taking his hand
They decided to bet dinner with a bowling match, in which you find Barou playing by himself, who ends up joining the match since you weren't playing; after all you decided to not tell them about it. You were waiting for Chigiri to play when Barou sits next to you, looking at you inquisitive
"Oi, you are Yn-kun, aren't you?" He asks you
"Eh?"
"Don't play dumb, you are at Blue Lock with us, only a fool wouldn't be able to tell, even though you have make up on today" he says
"Yeah, that's me" you say, high fiving Chigiri when he does a strike
"So, do you swing to the other side or…"
"I'm a girl, but I'm also leaving Blue Lock now" he nods at the information
"You were good, you scrub, well played" he adds, ending the conversation right there
Nagi does a strike after falling down, which ends up with all of you calling the game off since it was getting late. All of the guys say their goodbyes to you, Bachira and Chigiri hugging the longest, leaving you with only Nagi and Reo left
"So, I'm assuming you're staying the night with Nagi again? It's too late for you to leave to Hyogo now" Reo asks
"Yeah, I don't know if leave in two or three days"
"You can stay with me as long as you want, just saying" Nagi adds, petting your hair
"Yeah, you should stay until our vacation is over, since we won't see you in Blue Lock after this we can enjoy time together and you get to enjoy Tokyo more!" Reo says excitedly
"I still haven't got paid by Ego, so i don't have much money" you answer, you were going to get paid for your work after the two weeks were over
"Don't worry about it, I'll cover you" Reo winks at you "besides, if you need money for anything let me know and I'll give it to you"
"What are you? A sugar daddy or something? Do rich people have the need to spend money?" You raise an eyebrow
"Nah, i just don't mind spoiling my treasure's girl, i can afford it after all" he adds
"I mean…if you insist, I'm not denying that offer" you shrugged, making him laugh
"Alright, let's hang out again, bye!" Reo says when you arrived to Nagi's place, his attendant waiting for him in a limousine in front of his place
"Bye"
"See ya!" Both you and Nagi say, entering his place
You took all your makeup off and put on comfortable clothes, which means you were wearing one of Nagi's hoodies since they basically reach your knee. You got out of the bathroom only to find Nagi laying down on his stomach while playing a game, so you go and lay on top of him to watch him
"...you really can stay here as long as you want, by the way" he interrupts the comfortable silence you were in
"I know, but i do also need to go back to Hyogo soon, i have to go back to classes" you say, your head laying on his back
"Classes are such a pain" he whines "can't you just transfer here? I'll ask Reo to help you out"
"Isn't your school one of the best in the country? I doubt that nepotism can just help me enter"
"You'd be surprised" he says
"Even if i transfer I'll have to wait until next year, besides, we don't know where you'll be next year, maybe Blue Lock gets you an offer in an international club and you'll have to transfer there"
"True, that'd be cool" he pauses, moving both of you with ease until you are laying down in the bed with his head on your chest "then I'll tell them to include you too"
"Eh? Why?" You ask
"I like having you around, i like you" he simply states, as if it was the most normal thing to say, as if it was such a simple thing, as if it didn't make your heart flutter "and you like being around me too, so it's a win win"
"Who says I like being around you that much?" You ask
"Your heart beats and your blushed face speak for themselves" he looks at you, slight smirking on
"Shut up" you hit his head
You spent the rest of these two weeks like this, sometimes you hung out with Reo in his penthouse, sometimes you went to the arcade with Nagi, you even got to meet Chigiri's family and stayed with them for a few days after explaining the whole situation. Now two weeks later, you arrived at the place where they were picking the guys up with Nagi and Reo, since apparently a huge crowd of paparazzi were waiting at the entrance of the project.
"This kinda bring back memories" you say
"It does, we didn't even knew each other back then, who knew we would be friends now" Reo says, ruffling your hair "by the way, i already told Baya-san to pick you up later so she can take you to your house"
"You shouldn't have, it's like 5 hours driving" you say
"She insisted too"
"I don't bel-"
"Ynnnn-chaaan!" A scream interrupts you, soon a pair of arms wrap around you and shake you around "you came to say goodbye to us!"
"I did, I can't just let you forget about me, Bachira"
"I will never!" He hugs you tighter
"You're going to kill her if you keep squishing her" Chigiri takes you out of the embrace, pulling you into a side hug himself "you know, I'm sure you can still come with us, just change into a uniform and hope on"
"I can't, i already know what's waiting for you and it's not gonna be beneficial for anyone" you say, knowing well what the phase two of the project was
"But you want to" Chigiri grabs your shoulder, he was able to tell how wet your eyes were, how your hands were shaking slightly, he knew that you still wanted to be with them
"I do…we can't have it all, can we?" You say, making him hug you harder "don't forget about me when you become a famous pro player, you better maintain me once you have money"
"You already have people ready to maintain you, but if it doesn't work out with him or his best friend, I'll think about it" he jokes back, kissing your temple affectionately "see you after I'll become the best in the world, little one"
"See ya" you chuckle, saying some quick goodbyes to some of the ones that enter the bus when a pair of arms wrap around your waist, a pair of arms that were already used to do this
"I'll see you after this, okay?" Nagi says, pulling you closer
"Of course, I'll make sure to watch you, so keep doing your best"
"Watch me? How?"
"You'll find out soon, just do your best and play amazingly like you always do" you say turning around, fluffing his hair
"I will. See you" he bends down, giving you a quick kiss in the lips
"See you"
You watch him enter the bus as it closes the door right behind him, being the last member to enter. Some of them scream their goodbyes to you while the bus leaves, so you wave back at them until you are sure they can't see you clearly, finally letting the tears roll down your face. You wanted to go with them, you wanted to keep playing with them, you wanted to be on the project, but since Blue Lock was turning into a reality TV for scouting, not only you wouldn't be able to keep up the secret but you also won't be able to join any team, it would do nothing more than waste your time. At least that's what you told yourself to feel better about this.
"Hello" Anri appears beside you, looking at you carefully "Ego-san told me to give you this"
She gives you a package, inside was the same uniform the guys were given before leaving, the same custom size you had for the first phase
"He thought you'd miss them, and since you're technically still part of Blue Lock until a few more minutes, we managed to get you one too. It won't make you less sad, but it's the best we can do to help you"
"Thanks" you hug it, smiling through the tears to Anri, who gives you a hug before walking away.
You'll miss them, of course you'll miss those idiots, but you'll see them again once they're on the top, you know you will.
-The end-
