A well worn in Caspian 1911. Put 5 rounds into one ratty hole at 12 yards. Weak hand. Yeah. It’s a nice gun. And lol no. It doesn’t have a front fiber at the moment 😂. #pewpewlife #caspian #1911 #45acp #johnbrowning #franklinrange #nashvillearmory #nashville — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/37M2rx3

A cool Springfield 1911 variant that I had no idea ever existed. This one is a 6” long slide. Man that extra inch really does dramatically change the feel of the gun in a stupendous way. The grips are aftermarket, gunner grips, and the gun had a trigger enhancement. But I just wanted to point out that 6” 1911s are now my favorite barrel length. Seriously this should be more of a thing. Springfield discontinued this size but Caspian still makes it. Some of the extra bowling pin runs yesterday were filmed with this after the match was over and man does it shoot well. #pewpewlife #springfield1911 #1911 #pewpewprofessional #nashvillearmory #franklinrange #nashville — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2SIz0Yg

Story time! There once was a company named Saber Defense. They made and exported ARs. They were based out here in Nashville. They did very well have million dollar defense contracts and they made a pretty solid rifle. Thheeennn they got caught smuggling them to the IRA and the management went to jail. Whoops. Still nice rifle though. Lol this one was of course NOT sent to the IRA. They sold lowers and uppers and stuff. This upper jogged my memory a bit. #nicholascagediditbetter — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2uQThl5

One of the more uncommon Sigs I’ve seen. The Sig 2340 SP. The Sig Pro line was Sigs first major intro to polymer framed pistols. They also featured accessory rails, which nowadays we take for granted but was relatively new for pistols. The gun also has easily swappable grips. They were introduced in 1998 in .40 cal. Cool bit is the frame is made in Switzerland. Sights are white paint contrast sights. Oddly this gun is DAO, as opposed to Sigs more frequently used DA/SA. You can see the lack of a decocker on the gun. #pewpewlife #pewpewprofessional #sig #franklinrange — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/3aTFrz8

Made a trip back to Nj for the holidays. This I came across at RISE in white plains NY. This is a Braverman Stinger pen gun. It’s a single shot .22 that folds into a..pen shaped object. The Bravermans are unique in that most pen guns fall under the NFA for being any other weapons. But because this “looks” like a gun when it’s folded out and ready to fire it does not. They were made in the 90s and early 2000s but really never made much headway. Needless to say it’s a niche gun. They also came in .25, .32 and .380 ACP. Neat little gun that looks like it belongs in James Bond. #pengun #pewpewlife #rocklandindoorshooting #weirdguns — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/384Frd7

B&T is, for some reason, one of the lesser known companies making dope guns nowadays. B&T is a Swiss company putting together these sweet little 9mm carbines. Never had a chance to handle one of their guns till now. Definitely is a well built setup the machining is awesome. It is really handy, though honestly the forend could be a tad longer and include a handstop. Good ergos otherwise does include a full extending brace or stock setup. Wish they were better known it’s a cool gun. #pewpewlife #pewpewprofessional #franklinrange — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2szizU7

Added another book to the collection. Learning a little bit more every day! This one is a quick and easy read. For most shooters around like the B class level most of it will probably be quite Familiar but I’d still recommend a read through. Duane has a few nuggets of information in here I certainly gleaned and took value from. For anyone below B class(ish) in skill this is definitely an easily understandable package of great information. Duanes an excellent shooter, his only major flaw being that he shoots IDPA. He’s also super humble and I’m currently yelling at him to take more of my money next time he sells me a book 😂. So short summary- it’s good. It’s simple to understand. Most higher level shooters will be Aware of what he’s talking about but he does have particularly useful tips buried in the text. Newer shooters will have a great time shortening their learning curve and avoiding some bad habits. #pewpewlife #duaneiscoolbutidpaisstillstupid — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/37949bZ

A Colt Single Action Army 1873...but with a twist. This one is a carbine. Revolver carbines were a thing...sort of...since the begging of the revolver. Even Paterson’s had a carbine variant. It was really one of the only easy ways to do a repeating rifle. But they really never caught on due to one glaring problem. The cylinder gap spews lead and hot gas out of any revolver. So if you try to hold any type of forened you get burned and torn up by hot debris. Your grip has to be entirely on the rear of the gun, which is incredibly peculiar. Attempts to deflect the gas in Percussion guns only lead to increases in chain fires, which is bad by itself but worse when you consider your hand would be out front. They remained a really limited item. The metallic cartridge could have solved that problem, in fact Taurus makes a revolver carbine now, but by then the lever action was a firmly established as a wholly superior technology to design a rifle around. But they are super cool anyway and a little niche of firearms history that isn’t seen very often. This particular gun being from the 1880s is an extremely late example of the system. #pewpewlife #colt #wheelgun #wheelrifle #nashvillearmory #franklinrange — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2OX1Nqm

One of the original IMI Jericho pistols. One beefy CZ75 clone. Stupid nice trigger. The top of this gun looks like it was dragged behind a truck though 😂 #pewpewlife #jericho #imi — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/33bgolI

The Beretta 1935. A .32 ACP service pistol that saw massive success from the late 30s-1945. 8 rounds of .32 ACP. The safety acts as a slide lock. The sights are...well terrible 😂. This one is a 1944 produced gun. They were originally beautifully blues but this one has a pretty horrible finish, or well complete lack of finish, being made so late in the war. Which to me actually makes it cooler. #beretta #32acp #pewpewlife #pewpewprofessional #oldguns — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2ODt4hQ

The new IWI Masada. First impressions I’ve got of it. For one thing, it’s fully ambi. That’s finally becoming a normal thing, It only took a millennium to achieve but lefties are finally getting love! I know some people don’t care for them but I like having front cocking serrations so I’ll call it a plus. Trigger is relatively light somewhat a squishy break but not bad. I feels halfway between a M&P and a Glock. The grip is fairly slick, I’d personally stipple it or do something to add texture. Sights are typical 3 dot. Recoil is par for the course. Overall though, what makes the gun is the pricepoint. It’s a fully ambi red dot ready gun for less than the price of a standard G17. I don’t see any glaring flaws. If this gun turns out to be rugged long term I could really see it doing well. I see no reason not to recommend them if that is the case. Lol as always super cool customers showing me the latest and greatest out there! #iwi #masada #pewpewlife #franklinrange #pewpewprofessional — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2Lo4C1Q

Next up is a. Colt Vest Pocket. It’s one of Colts multiple mouse guns made around the turn of the century. These guns are striker fired, which is the easiest way to distinguish them from the pocket hammerless, which is a shrouded hammer design but looks somewhat similar. As was custom of the era sights are a tiny little grove that in my opinion they may as well have just saved manufacturing time and left them off entirely at that point. These guns were extremely popular little carry guns. They have a grip safety and a manual hold open that is also the thumb safety. In 1916 an engineer by the name of Tansley put a magazine safety into the pistol as well. These guns would eventually be replaced by the product improved baby browning, essentially the same gun but with easier access to the controls, a bit more undercut at the back of the trigger for a better grip and a cocked striker indicator. That gun was largely the work of Dieudonne Saive a man who worked very closely with Browning and finished his design of the Hi Power after his death. #colt #thepewpewlife #pewpewprofessional #pocketgun — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2U07BA5

Tanker Garand! The tanker Garand is a shortened variant of the M1. It never actually saw service, a handful were made as an experiment but were unsuccessful and the war had ended anyway. They were never specifically to be made for tankers, that’s just the collector name that stuck. The experimental guns were known as the T-26. Lots of these guns exist, pretty much all aftermarket conversions of one sort or another. So they aren’t a very historically significant rifle. But they are cool and handy. -Don’t forget to follow my new account evandaire2! My first Tennessee shooting post! Shot my Tennessee Concealed Carry qualifier yesterday with my P226. Took the class with the Citizens Safety Academy over in Murfreesboro. Some very solid instructors with obviously exceptional skill levels at both teaching and shooting. Ryan and David are both what I would consider shooting professionals. The class was of course,a state mandated curriculum (lol never thought I was going to see shoot to neutralize the threat on a state form!) but they managed to even make that informative. Gonna be good to finally be able to CCW after living in NJ for so long. #ccw #tennessee #pewpewlife #sigp226 #freedom @citizenssafety — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2OSBUd6
