Le French Picnic is just what the doctor ordered

It’s no secret that the music industry is hanging by a thread and as we slowly come out of lockdown most live events are STILL being cancelled (sad face!). So, after being stuck at home for (way too many) months it is no surprise that musicians and music lovers have been in serious need for their LIVE music fix. And this is where ‘Le French Picnic’ comes in.

Set in hidden London locations, the brand-new outdoor event is as chic as they come and where you can enjoy a picnic with, you guessed it… LIVE MUSIC! Le French Picnic launched on Saturday 8th August and is for sure the new go-to event on the scene as it was completely sold out!

I had the pleasure of attending their first ever event and as a picnic AND music lover this is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Upon arrival I was in awe of my surroundings, they really took their time to find the perfect magical location to compliment the event and make me feel like I had stepped into a picturesque park in the South of France.

After picking my jaw up off the floor I was greeted by a host and escorted to my own patch of garden where I could chill, dance and socially distance in style! For a couple of hours, I was transported out of 2020 and to a time of good vibes only all of the troubles of this dreaded year were melted away by incredible live music– from talented and well-established London artists, DJ’s and their house band ‘Blue Riviera’.

There I was, sat on my blanket with a G&T in my hand living my best life! The music was of course the highlight of the day, with all of the musicians being incredibly talented. We were treated to a variety of line ups, from acoustic to full band to DJ sets playing originals and covers from all genres and eras for three whole hours! This may seem like a generous amount of time, but the event is so good that it leaves you wanting more! And with that being said, I will definitely be returning for the next one, and the next one, and the next one…

So, if you love good times, great company and amazing live music, this is the event for you! It is BYO so bring your blanket, hamper filled with your favourite food and drink and of course your fabulous self and let Le French Picnic do the rest!
