Day 1: Fae

A/N: Im back it's been 4 years but I'm still alive and ready to start posting again so enjoy my first one shot of the season.

You know, the stories of the things that go bump in the night, or when children are taken to the woods and dance all night until their fear bleed, those stories well those faerie tails were true. At least they were long ago before human and fae began to intermix and breed with one another. The human trying to tame the fae and the fae trying to find a way to survive in this world that was slipping away from nature. 

There are two family lines that hold the old ways pure, one from the court of Seelie who were blessed by the goddess of creation and one from the Unseelie court blessed or cursed by the god of destruction depending on who you asked. Though the family lines  were pure it was not without sacrifice each member held the power their gods had blessed them with and with each blessing came a curse the seelie were cursed with needing a blood sacrifice once every new moon. And the Unseelie were cursed with being vulnerable for the 3 days surrounding the new moon. 

Now you may be asking how this history of fae fits into our story…

Well just take a look as the most recent generation are ones who will not only break their curses but muddy the waters between Seelie and Unseelie.

Marinette Dupain-Chang the latest “pure” Unseelie. She unlike the rumors surrounding her court was gorgeous a queen in the making, or at least she would have been had the fae stayed separate from the mortals all those millennia ago. But here in Paris she was not a queen no she was an Idol not just Unseelie royalty as a civilian but the prized hero of Paris Ladybug. She though cursed with the blessing of destruction and death had managed to reign in her blood lust and become a hero one with the power of creation if you will. You could say her blood lust helped her it allowed her to discover and kill her enemy in Hawkmoth rapidly only 2 years passing by and even after that she protected her city. She was a protector now not a killer like her kind was rumored to be, and yet her label as a hero never stoped her from reveling in each kill she was allowed to make. Allowed to solely because of her so called “lucky” charm that would fix everything once the battle was over. 

She is where our story begins, with her class, one that is composed of all but 2 other mostly Unseelie children. 

Mme Bustier, a woman whose bloodline was so muddled that her fae court could not be determined leaving her in the perfect position to teach both courts and yet receive no loyalty from any child. Though she may have received no loyalty that the did not mean there were not lines drawn within her class. For Marinette that signified her development of almost a court her best friend Kagami, and their new found companion Juleka, who’s older brother had seemed to be a potential partner until his bonding with Chloe a few months prior.  

With Chloe having bonded with Luca the Unseelie girls welcomed her into their group and allowed her to protect them during new moon time and provided her with willing blood sacrifices. 

This relationship was not just beneficial, but inevitably divulged into friendship with the gap finally closing within Mme Bustiers class. With the gap finally breached and closed the class was granted the opportunity to travel abroad to their sister city of Gotham and meet the the ruling Seelie family.

In Gotham though the world was structured differently. The Bat family ruled at night, and the Wayne’s ruled during the day, tho many could guess the duality of the family anyone who voiced the idea of the two being the same disappeared on the night of the new moon.  

With the Wayne’s being kings of the Day and Pure Seelie, Gotham bent to their whim as for them the rumors about their historic court. Those rang true with each brother just as mesmerizing as the last and each just as kind in their trickery always making the world see them as benevolent. 

The outlier though being Damien the only true heir to the Seelie court though many would forget that as each Wayne child held themselves in high esteem. 

Each child was different, Richard Grayson the first son, now he was special his father had been a distant relative of bruce making the Seelie blood Dick possessed almost as potent as that of Bruce. Now Jason was interesting as he was most definitely not Seelie, but Unseelie and though the held himself together during the day at night he would allow himself the pleasure of a kill. Timothy on the other hand was the result of gorgeous mortals and a bloodline so mixed that his court was barely decipherable as  Seelie. 

Damian was the blood son the heir, supposed to be the perfect example of Seelie blood yet he had been blessed with the ability to wield the power of destruction, a gift bestowed on him by his mother one of the last true Fae who had managed to capture the tiny god of destruction in a ring. Because of this gift Damian not only needed a blood sacrifice upon the new moon but he needed to hunt and kill his sacrifice never to receive a willing living sacrifice unless they share opposing power to their court as well.

The Parisian class arrives in Gotham, and though they are quickly escorted to their hotel and told to stay put, that does not stop several children from quickly departing their temporary residence. The class travels through Gotham the Seelie children traveling to memorials and museums highlighting their court and its past.  While the 3 Unseelie children plus Chloe travel into the depths of Gotham searching for an elder fae they read resided in Gotham. Upon their arrival to Ivy’s gardens the walls open up upon Marinette’s touch, a feeling of belonging runs through her. This feeling may shock her must not as much  as she is sure the emergence of a fully Fae woman does. To not only her shock but that of Kagami Julika’s,  and Chloe, the woman bows to Marinette. 

And greeteds her with the words 

“child of destruction our guardian of creation,  welcome to Gotham I hope you will meet the one you search for the child of creation, our guardian of destruction” 

And with that the walls close again and the  girls are granted a path into a garden that seemed to be a perfect representation of what the fae realm had once been.

A few blocks away our child of creation, guardian of destruction has received a message from his mother, warning him that his betrothed has been found. And based on what his mother has heard from Ivy is willing to commence the end of court separation and usher in a new court one made of mixed heritage. She had after all opened and entered a portal to the fae realm with her royal court.

Damien saying "I know a guy" but it's just Marinette in various costumes

I have this idea that won't leave me alone, so I thought I'd share it so that others may be cursed with thinking about it too.

(This can be read as either sibling or dating Daminette)

Damien is all grown up and joined the Justice League as a permanent hero. Everyone knows he was Robin, so they think there won't be any surprises. Until there's a big mission and they need to infiltrate somewhere and plant cameras for evidence (or something). However, this place is a fortress (like the best anti-hero security money can buy) and the only way in is through the vents which are too small for humans to fit through.

The Justice League meeting turns into one big loud argument. Until Damien says, "I know a guy."

Obviously, he's very dodgy about his contact, but he says they can be trusted. Since, he's Robin, they let it slide.

The Justice League is all waiting at the contact spot when Marinette pulls up. They're confused, Damien is light-tipped, and she's in her multimouse ensemble looking all cute.

Marinette pulls off the mission then dips and Damien is stubborn even when Batman questions him. (Could be either good parent or bad parent Bruce Wayne).

Eventually, they let it drop. Until another big mission happens and they need a specific skill set and Damien says, "I know a guy." Cue Marinette with a different miraculous.

This keeps happening.

The Justice League assumes all the girls are different people and they're very confused like, "Robin, where do you keep finding these girls?"

Cue lots of half thought-out shenanigans

legitimately I would love to see more of Mari in fics where she's not so much physically beating up rogues in Gotham as much as waging psychological warfare, for example:

any time a building is destroyed or people are killed, Mari promptly un-destroys and un-kills them.

the terrifying part only comes if they try to talk to her and she proceeds to answer them similar to the contents of the tumblr mushroom post, e.g.:

Rogue of the week: but I--I just--

Marinette, turning her head at angles it was never meant to be turned at: do you think you can leave a mark in a way that matters? do you think your acts will be remembered any more than a bad dream is in the morning light? do you think your deeds will amount to more than a grain of sand on the beach of human history?

I guess what I'm really saying is more cryptid/vaguely eldritch horror mari. the fact that she can bring people back with the miraculous cure is supremely scary if you actually think about it and I just think someone should take advantage of it, because Robins are terror in their own right, but mari?

she knows things that shouldn't be known.

Marinette: You have both a cat and a dog, right?

Damian: Yes, why?

Marinette: I was just wondering.

Marinette: They say that if you call a dog, it comes, and if you call a cat, it only takes note of it.

Damian: Well, if I call Alfred the Cat, he comes right away.

Damian: Because if he doesn't come running, Titus the Dog will come first and eat all the goodies himself.

I'm vaguely interested in Daminette but not a full-fledged shipper yet, so I was wondering if you have any headcanons to convert me? ❤️❤️❤️

Yes I do!! Thank you for asking. This is lowkey putting me back in my daminette era.

They play videos games together since in their respective universes they are canonically into video games.

Damian is a tea person and Marinette is a coffee addict since she has to juggle a lot of responsibilities.

Daminette works with Talia to help the environment. Damian's an Al Ghul and there's a whole Miraculous special of Marinette trying to save the environment.

Marinette orginally thought that Damian was a vegan so she baked a lot of foods with substitutes just to find out Damian is vegetarian so she didn't need to do all of that.

Damian hesitated introducing Marinette to the Batfamily because she's an only child and the Batfamily is big and chaotic so he didn't want to overwhelm her.

Damian was a bit appalled by the fact that Marinette can't speak Mandarin but he blames her parents not her. Damian was raised in many languages and cultures since he's mixed and he thought that Marinette would have a similar childhood.

Even though Marinette only wanted a hamster, she loves all of Damian's pets and they love her too.

Marinette loves how well Damian is connected to his Chinese culture.

Marinette started learning Arabic for Damian.

Damian is used as inspiration for some of Marinette's designs.

Daminette sits and draws in silence together as a date.

Damian cooks for Marinette while Marinette bakes for Damian.

One of my ideas of how they met is that Talia and Damian were in Paris picking up a gift for Bruce. And when Damian went to explore by himself, Marinette sleep deprived and distracted walked into him and spilled her coffee on him.

I AM BEGGING YOU TO HELP SAVE DUSTIN HIGGS

Dustin Higgs is a Maryland based artist on Death Row for a crime he did not commit -

He was convicted and sentenced to the federal death penalty as an accomplice to the 1996 murders of Tanji Jackson, Tamika Black and Mishann Chinn. It was the first federal death sentence handed down in Maryland in the modern era.

Dustin was not the person who actually shot the three women. Nor was he an accomplice. In fact, it was Willis Haynes who pulled the trigger, and he was sentenced to life in prison plus 45 years after a separate jury spared him the death penalty for the crime. With the resumption of federal executions in 2020, Dustin's life is at serious risk.

He is sentenced to be excecuted on Jan 15. 2021. 3 days before MLK Day and just 5 DAYS BEFORE THE NEW FEDERAL ADMINISTRATION IS PUT IN PLACE

Day 18: Northern lights

A/N: Hey guys I know I said that I would be up to date by today but I think I’ll end up going all the way to Friday before I’m caught up.

It was Marinette and Damian’s 5th wedding anniversary and while the past years had been hectic they both felt that they could use a brake and that work was slowing down enough that they could disappear for a while. After calling in a few favors the couple was on their way to Norway for a short vacation.

They arrived late at night after an eight hour flight out of the JFK airport finally arriving in Norway at 1 AM. Upon their arrival they took a cab to their hotel and passed out hoping to get as much as they could packed into the 4 days they had left.

On the first day the couple woke up and unpacked, and at about 10 they left the hotel to go and see as many significant structures that they could, Marinette absolutely loved both the Oslo Cathedral and Akershus Castle because of all the history behind the buildings but also the architecture of them both. She definitely was planing several designs inspired by the structure. Damian was a bit different in his approach as his favorite was the Arctic Cathedral because of its design, trying to blend in with the ice and snow but still built to stand out.

On their second day on Norway they took a train journey and headed up to the Lyngen Alps were they spent all day skiing and wondering at the land. When they made there way back to the hotel they indulged in several types of pastries though Damian was a bit concerned with them not actually having had a full meal since that morning. Marinette just waved him off and shoved another Skolebrød in her mouth as she went to get dressed for bed.

On their third day they visited as many Museums that they could Marinette’s favorite was exactly a museum but a park where there were over 200 bronze and granite sculptures. Damian on the other hand rather enjoyed the Kon-Tiki Museum, while the name made both Marinette and Damian laugh they loved the exhibitions and the cave tour though being underground for that long was s bit draining on Marinette.

For their last full day Damian checked them into Ersfjordbotn Village where they set out to explore the village and find the best place to watch the northern lights. As night fell over the village the lights emerged and the couple spent hours snuggled up against each other just watching. When they could barley stay awake the decided to head inside where Marinette handed Damian a box and asked him to open it. When he opened the box he found baby sized booties and Marinette pointing at her stomach which had pregnant written on it.

“Happy anniversary” said Marinette as she hugged Damian who was still in shock about the news.

When he finally could speak he said, “ I love you and our little family thank you for being there these last 5 years.”

Day 17: De-Aging

A/N: hi here’s day 17 I’m not in love with it but it’s something and I did promise I would get it out today.

The Wayne’s were on vacation traveling so that they could check in on both the Paris branch but also on the rumors that were being to spread about super heroes.

It wasn’t exactly a surprise when the Akuma attacked but the Miraculous team had already fought an akuma that day early in the morning. When the fight started it looked like it would be an easy one find the akumatized item and destroy it but after several failed tries the Miraculous team realized that it was going to be a lot harder than they thought. They spent about 2 more hours until they saw a blast where the entire city was covered in light. All of a sudden people aged back 10 years you went from being 40 to 30 or for children 10 or younger you just de-aged until you were one. This happened to anyone who wasn’t wearing a miraculous. At this point the Miraculous team was exhausted but had gotten a second wind the Akuma was amen down within the hour but the effects were still in full effect.

Within the Wayne hotel suite there was chaos a seven year old Damian running around trying to escape from the room and brandishing whatever he could get his hands on. A 10 year old Tim Drake wondering where he was and why there were so many people around him not to mention asking why there was a child running around trying to kill them. Jason was fine he was 13 at this point and he knew who Dick and Bruce were but was rolling with the punches of having two other children in the room. Dick was probably the most normal with knowing everyone and automatically checking the phone in his pocket for the date leaning that he was 10 years in the future and definitely not in Gotham. But Bruce was probably doing the best no questions asked watching the boys and while he didn’t know why he had so many he was relishing the relief of a relaxed back as he could only guess the amount of stress he was soon going to encounter.

It was the end of the day when everything went back to normal and people returned to how they originally were. Though everyone try’s not to mentions the incident, Chloe will bring it up occasionally because she swears that she saw a young Bruce Wayne when she swung by the hotel to check on everyone. The story only comes to light 10 years later when Marinette and Damian get married and Alfred prints out a photo of the Wayne family all together but in too large clothing and too young to have known of each other. When Chloe see’s the photo she screams “I KNEW IT” and barges right up tho the newlyweds and demands answers.

Day 16: Royalty

A/N: Here is day 16 and I hope that you all enjoy.

Damian Al-Ghul was an assassin, the problem arose when Damian Wayne became a prince. You see for his first 14 years of life he was raised by his mother in the league of assassins, but at the age of 14 he was sent on a mission to kill a prince named Jason Todd Wayne. What Damian hadn’t known was that Jason had been adopted into the Wayne family. During that mission he learned that all the heirs of the Wayne family were trained in the art of killing. Damian was captured by Jason and placed in a holding cell until Bruce Wayne could see him. When they finally did meet bruce recognized his eyes demanding to know who his mother was and then sent Damian back home with a guard who then collect his possessions and told Talia that Damian would be residing with the king of Gotham as the heir as he was his direct decent. And that’s how Damian Al-Ghul became Damian Wayne crowned prince of Gotham.

About two kingdoms away Sabine Cheng was reviving news from her sister, and her old leader who was more like her childhood best friend. She revived two letters one from her half sister Tomoe and one from Talia, Tomoe’s letter said that as their daughters were both 13 they were needing coaching in taking over their kingdoms and discovering their powers, she suggested that they send the cousins to Talia so that they could be trained to fight and then to their grandfather so that they could learn to lead a kingdom and control their powers. The letter from Talia was a bit more concerning as Sabine had assumed that Tomoe had already contacted Talia asking for her assistance and this was Talia reaching out, but the contents were alarming as this letter was to inform Sabine that Damian had been taken to live with his father and until further notice he would remain ignorant of his betrothal to Marinette. This was fine with Sabine as she had yet to inform her daughter of her betrothal or of how Kagami would take control of her grandfather’s kingdom because of it.

Sabine wrote back to her sister agreeing to her plan to send the girls away so long at they went to their grandfather’s first and then to Talias as she was facing her own difficulties.

Marinette and Kagami trained with their grandfather for 3 years and on the anniversary of when they were sent away they left to spend 2 years with Talia training in espionage and war tactics for inevitable battles they would face.

It was with Talia that they finally saw their mothers again Tomoe and Sabine had arrived about a year into their training and informed them of their diverging paths. Though both girls would eventually rule it was Kagami who would takeover their familial land and Marinette who would marry a prince and rule as his queen. Though the girls were shocked they didn’t object both knowing the benefits of their placements Kagami as a warrior queen who would never take a spouse and would rule until Marinette’s child could clam the kingdom and merge their familial land with that of Marinette’s betrothed.

Damian was 19 when he learned of his betrothal to another royal line a princes who was 18 and though he found no interest in marrying he agreed with both his mother and father that the union would be beneficial for both kingdoms.

Marinette was 18 when she learned that she was to marry Talia’s son Damian, from what Marinette could remember he was a silent man who killed like the rest of those in the league. While she had several hesitations she knew that she too had the potential to kill and had done so before when it was necessary. Marinette was worried with the child being Talia’s that he would have no claim to the crown but she quickly learned that he was the crowned prince of Gotham and that the union would be extremely beneficial for not only her family but his as well.

It was Damian’s 20th birthday when he first met the granddaughters of King Fu, he was surprised when neither girl gave her name only their respective last names a Tusrugi and a Dupain-Cheng. While Damian was still in no way looking for a relationship he couldn’t help but hope that he was marrying the Dupain girl. While both were beautiful he felt that the Tusrugi girl wouldn’t make a good wife or a complimentary partner as she seemed much more stif in her interactions while the Dupain fluttered around greeting everyone she met.

At the end of the night King Bruce informed the guests that tonight was the first introduction of their future queen.

As Bruce stood on the stage he called up Talia saying “I would now like to present Damian’s mother and his future brides trainer.”

Next he called up the whole Fu line, “And now I would like to welcome King Fu and his granddaughters, alongside each girl stands her mother, they each have an announcement to make which will lead Damian into knowing who his bride is.”

First came Tomoe who spoke of how strong and brave her daughter was and how wonderful a queen she would make. At the end of her speech Bruce could see his son’s face slightly souring to which he smiled because he knew what would come next would be a great surprise. The second speaker was Sabine, she stepped forward and said “And now I would like to present you my daughter she two will be queen but unlike her cousin she will become queen through marriage, she has been preparing for the past 6 years and though the training and distance has been tough she has never lost her sense of self and creativity.” With that announcement out of the way Damian was allowed to step forwards and officially meet his bride. They stepped forward and took each others hands turning to the crowed they waved and retreated to the study so that they could get to know each other.

“Hello Damian,”came Dupain-Cheng’s voice

“Hello,” came Damian’s reply followed by,” I’m sorry I don’t know your first name.”

“Marinette, my name is Marinette.”
