Hello! As I am out of surgery and in recovery now, Staff is sifting through the current Thornrush apps that close tonight at 11:59PM EST!

However, we are postponing Skyreach applications by one day as staff is feeling a bit overwhelmed and I am unable to make it to a computer to make sure everything is set up alright for the applications! They will have an extra day tacked onto their dates as compensation for the one day postponement! Thornrush acceptances will be sent out tomorrow throughout the day, though! We're excited to see everyone for Skyreach apps in one more day 🫶!

I recall it being said folks can't apply with loners (very understandable, and if that wasn't said here apologies for confusing you with someone else.) If someone wanted to make a loner for their second character would that be possible at all? What about loner backstories if that's the case?

Yes, that was here! Loner backstories are definitely okay to use, and future characters can be loners within a few months! We just want to get the Clans all filled up first before we start venturing out into loners and kittypets and such! ^_^

The server generally uses tom/molly, as well as jack has been used and tossed around a bit!

Queen isn't typically used as a role name as it was in Canon, instead replaced with Hearthkeepers, but queen/king/monarch can still be used to describe a pregnant or nursing cat if one would like!

has there been any major disputes that are still somewhat recent? like, any particularly villainous schemes coming to light or general war disputes?

For still somewhat recent disputes, Shoreshimmer and Torrentfall have a peace treaty that continues to teeter on the brink of falling apart, with the treaty having been formed within the last few years after a tragic accident in a territory skirmish.

Thornrush had a villainous scheme within it and a small rebellion within the last several years with cats who had grown discontent with how Thornrush would spread itself so thin trying to help the other Clans, but the violent push was quelled and the cats in question were exiled.

Otherwise, it is mostly small disputes or tensions, such as Mistshroud having a disdain for Skyreach, and Torrentfall beginning to view Thornrush as a meddler who favors Shoreshimmer in the disputes.

can we learn more about Heathkeepers? I really want to make my character be one and I was wondering about how their role was in Everrain since it's such a unique setting! :D

Hearthkeepers are, for all intents and purposes, the Ever Rain equivalent to a permanent monarch that's within the canon setting!

They are not just cats who are pregnant or nursing (though those who are do fall under this category!), but they are also cats who are responsible for watching and caring for the most vulnerable of the Clans. They care for kits, nursing or pregnant parents, as well as elders.

It is Hearthkeepers that are the ones who, metaphorically, envelops the Clan in warmth and keeps them safe within their own homes, hence the name Hearthkeeper! They take on a parental role, so to speak.

I've been following this rp almost since the first polls finished but I decided not to apply since my school was ramping up at the time apps opened. But then last night I had a dream about the rp? And it feels like I have to apply now tbh. Just wanted to share that. It was a cool dream.

working on an application for high rank in Thornrush, I was wondering if there’s a hard and fast time for when Pikastar had to retire? And if so, if there’s space to have a leader between or if we intend to apply with a leader character should they have been the leader for the last five years?

There isn't really a hard and fast timeline for Pikastar's retirement, no! High rank lore is kept purposely vague so applicants have more wiggle room to develop a character that they'd like to play!

There could be a brief leader between if that was something you'd like to implement, if you are applying with a leader character they do have to have been lead for 5 years!

i had a question about npcs, though! essentially will they be allowed to be made by general players? basically i’m wondering if i can have my character’s parents alive and just vibing in the background or if they have to be killed off and only playable characters can be in the clan

And the answer to this is absolutely yes you can make NPCs that are just vibing in the background!

We've actually put up and NPC and dead character channel so important figures in a characters life can be listed off there!
