Day 4139 - Contributed to one of my cousin's fundraisers. Honestly I'll take these raffle calendars over the ones where you have to buy cheap stuff you don't want any day!

Day 4138 - Did my customary lap around the campsite to pick up litter left behind by other campers.

Day 4137 - Used our camping weekend to start a new book from my to-read pile.

Day 4136 - Volunteered at the banding station this morning. Highlight was processing my first cedar waxwing!

Day 4135 - Happy Pride, from our house to yours!

Day 4134 - I've been making a deliberate effort to swap my chore schedule around and use the appliances during the middle of the day so that we can take best advantage of our solar panels.

Day 4133 - I prefer using dried bulk beans, but getting the exact timing right for dinner can be tricky on a given day, so we've started planning the menu ahead and cooking them a day early.

Day 4132 - Got my first jury summons! Confirmed receipt and my intention to go participate.

Day 4131 - My neighbor called because they were making homemade pizza and had too much, would we like some? Feeling warm and fuzzy about strengthening our ties with our neighbors. Plus, free pizza!

Day 4130 - It's reptetive and unglamorous, but some days the best I've got is making sure that the cloth diapers get cleaned for the next few days!

Day 4129 - One of our little friends wants to have a pool party for their birthday, so we loaned them our inflatible pool.

Day 4128 - My first cicada experience! We're living in a Brood XIV area and my yard is POPPING. Downloaded the Cicada Safari app so that I can make contributions.

Day 4127 - Harvested a great crop of tomatoes from our basement hydroponics to use in tonight's dinner.

Day 4126 - It's baby bird season! Added mealworms to my feeder offerings to give those babies some protein.

Day 4125 - We've heard that the DOGE goons have turned their attention to the part of USGS that houses the Bird Banding Laboratory, which supports all of the bird banding science that we do. The BBL team does so much science and facilitiates so much science from the rest us with so little resources, that there would be nothing efficient about harming their funding. I've been in pretty constant contact with my elected officials this year, but reached out with the personal notes on this one.

Day 4124 - Spent the morning out at the bird banding station. We had a warbler kind of day! (Not one of these though - that would be pretty epic!)

Day 4123 - The swap shop at our transfer station is open for the season! Stopped by and rescued some books, puzzles, and a board game.
