I've always been curious as to why Rishid was drawn with such a hard glare, even when he wasn't angry. Is it to make him intimidating while he acts as Malik?

I think it's partially that, and partially that he feels he needs to be intimidating at all times, just due to being a servant to Malik at all. He's treated kind of like a body guard when he's not in disguise--so it probably just became his resting face after adopting that persona for so long
