they used to prescribe synthetic thyroid hormone to people for weight loss and now they’re prescribing ozempic for weight loss. i think they’re gonna figure out pretty soon this isnt good for people like how forcing healthy people into hyperthyrodism wasnt good

im still fucking mad that my previous endocrinologist told me that i was hyperthyroid because i was shaking when he was looking at my hands, even though I had been diagnosed with POTS which causes the shaking/tremors and was insanely anxious at his office. no other information. just that i was shaking & my tsh was normal (probably because i was stable on medication!!!)

going off my meds did almost kill me btw! (i was starting to develop myxedema)
