Halloween Gift: Dreamer’s Bay Community Lots

I recently made a number of community lot rabbit-holes and shells as a thank you to Simply @gruesim for all her hard work in getting the community involved in a number of challenges not only for her wonderful gifts but as a means to get people talking and forming friendships. She has encouraged me to share these publicly   ♥ ♥ ♥.

I have put together a file of the CC I have used that is publicly available. However, for what isn’t included in the file - you need to either have Dreamer’s Bay installed already or complete the challenges required (which I encourage you to do) because a) the world is AMAZing and b) I have met so many wonderful simblrs as a result of completing the challenges  ♥. The rules can be found here: SimblrSimplyForFun.

You will need Jynx’s rabbithole rugs - I have included them in the required CC file. Feel free to change around the rabbitholes to your liking!

Notes:

Dreamer’s Bay itself is BG compatible, but I have used bits and pieces from WA, Ambitions, Uni, and IP. If you don’t have those expansions installed the items will be replaced with BG items. 

Please keep in mind the lots were made to fit the community center for Dreamer’s Bay and as a result don’t have standard 20x30 measurements. They can however be placed on lots larger than their measurements.

TS3 Kali Aware - a top with sheer bit & long-draped sides

Please enjoy this little top as well. @awaresimblr made it so that it’s avaible for everyone, so do thank her ♡ More rambling about this joyful top under the readmore if you’re interested. The original was black, so the first preset is made like that. Pretty much all versions in the previews are presets ^-^

It looks alright with lots of skirts as well! In my preview it’s one of  spectacledchic​‘s skirts. It’s a lot of figuring out yourself what fits :D

Details which might be important to know:

Everything’s recolorable (patterns look good on it *wink ps. patterns look horrible in CAS, haha.. check it in game)

Enabled as a top in Everyday.

No known issues (but maybe a bit of clipping if you really use heavy animations/poses, usually the back of the sleeves if you put the entire arm to the opposite side..? Does that make sense?

So… *deep breath* here we go: a TS2 to TS3 conversion for your guys! :D Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m a bit nervous about sharing this: it’s my first hair conversion *ever*, and it is still not 100% perfect, so please be kind with me D: There are some transparency/UV map issues (shown in pics), the textures are still not perfect on the back and the channels are sort of weird. Hopefully things will be better as soon as I get more experience! Now, to the download itself: the hair works for teens/YA/adults/elders. I tried to make a female version as well, but the mesh needs to be adjusted, so you’re going to get it for males only. It has all LODs and it is fully recolourable (although, as already mentioned, channels are a little weird, especially on the scalp .__. basically, the best choice is to have both roots and tips of the same colour, possibly darker than the base one). Credit goes to HIM666 who did the original TS2 mesh and to Neithan, who did the recolors I got the inspiration from :D also, credit to Pooklet for the textures, Anubis for the EA control and Ginko, for the scalp/neck textures. Newsea Tennis - Reshaped and retextured! Should now fit a little closer around your sims’ heads - though in reshaping it some weird transparency issues seemed to happen and, unfortunately, from certain angles it looks a little patchy. I do really like it, though. :)

My AS control and blended texture: credits go to dreamstime.com and filterforge for hair texture stock and aWT for the control action. Standard TOU applies!

Butterflysims 048 retexture by LazyLazy Sims

I retextured this hair for personal use this week, therefore it isn’t as good as I would have wanted when sharing it. I could have done a better job on the controls for example, since the hair tips are nearly noticeable as you can see. 

It has  no custom thumbnail and is for male only.

Only a small UV map issue - a hint of a 2nd belly button. It was either keep that or lose the decent texture of the mesh. Photoshop or a shirt will fix that.
