HELP ITS SO PERFECT AHHH
Tumblr media
LIKE THE LYRICS OMGG WAIT HEAR ME OUT-
It's you and me
That's my whole world
They whisper in the hallway "she's a bad, bad girl."
The whole school is rolling fake dice,
You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes,
It's you and me,
There's nothing like this,
Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince,
We're so sad we paint the town blue,
Voted most likely to run away,
With you.
I KNOW IT'S NOT FULLY ACCURATE, BUT THE LINES LIKE "You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes," OR EVEN "most likely to run away with you."
MY FAVOURITE IS WHEN IT GOES "Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince."
LIKE COME ON, HEARTBREAK PRINCE?? SCREEEHH3BHBHJKBWFHBHF-
SOUNDS A BBIT (A LOT) LIKE OUR VERY OWN "Prince of Hearts"!!

Poor Jacks 😭
So...I've been thinking...
You guys know how Jacks can't kiss anyone other than his true love??
What happens if he and Evangeline (I refuse to believe its anyone else) have kids one day?? Will he be able to kiss them too?
Someone help me, because I'm starting to tear up again if he undeservedly ends up having to live with their kids like that 🙃

Stephanie Garber owes us all an apology for the OUABH trilogy 😍
You may be wondering what I mean by that.
Excuse me, but how dare she put all her readers through pain and suffering FOR ANOTHER 9 MONTHS for the third book after the ending of A Ballad Of Never After??
"Time will take something equally valuable from you."
"There is nothing of equal value to me."
When I tell you I BAWLED MY EYES AT THIS QUOTE.
MISS GIRL-
YOU ARE NOW THE REASON MY FAMILY THINKS I'M IN DIRE NEED OF AN ASYLUM 😭

So....
Someone had asked me in the comments of my "ask my some questions" post on why I thought Japeth didn't follow Aric when he was kicked out of Arbed House.
I'm gonna be honest and say that this question had been a general curiosity for me when I first finished the series, because Japeth had a love so deep for him, he was literally watching the world go up in flames just to be able to see him again.
I think that Japeth somewhat either felt guilty to leave Rhian at the time just to go with Aric, or he was forcibly held back, which is probably the reason behind it.
I think that Rhian/ Kei/ Dean Brunhilde held him back by force as he watched Aric leave.
I can literally imagine Japeth screaming and thrashing in their arms and begging Aric to stay oh god 😭
But yeah thank you for the interesting question!
It had always been a mystery for me, and I really hope that Soman one day writes a novella of the Arbed Boys to solve my confusion once and for all 😩

Are there any villain characters you wish had some redemption in SGE? If so who would they be? And which characters do you wish had more backstory explained in the books? I feel there are some villain back stories, and others, that needed more explanation
I think that this is my favourite question just because I can talk about one of my favourite characters.
I really wish that Rhian had some redemption, and I had really high expectations after he had that conversation with Sophie before he died.
So far as we know, he wanted to become king just so he could "rid the Woods from evil once and for all", so that everyone could live in peace. I'm not trying to say that his plans excuse the ways he treated Sophie and her friends after his reign, but I think that he had the right mindset in order to be king, and was truly good in the end. He just didn't perform his capabilities in the right way.
Then again, everyone is the villain in someone else's story.
I really wish Soman had given us a detailed backstory of the Arbed boys (Rhian, Japeth, Kei, and Aric).
I just find it so interesting about how their friendships, betrayals and loyalties fell into place when they all went to school together, especially how Rhian might've reacted towards Japeth and Aric being so close.
I really hope that Soman does give us a story one day though, because if it were a book, I would finish it in one sitting.
Ty for the question! <3

Would you go to school for Good, or Evil? Btw I'm happy to find more people who like the movie/books!
I'm happy that I've found and met more people who enjoyed the SGE books / movie too! <3
Like I said before, I think I'm more of the Never type ngl, even though sometimes I feel like an Ever-
But if there was a school for the in-between, I think I would defo belong there.
Thanks for the question!

who are your favorite characters? which teachers were your favorites? which book was the best?
I would say that my favourite female character would be Sophie, (as I had addressed in a previous post), and my favourite male character would actually surprisingly be Rhian (Mistral-Sader btw lol).
For me, I actually quite enjoyed reading about the aspects of these two characters, and know that they are worth succeeding in something if they truly work to the best of their ability (WE DON'T TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END OF QFG...)
I have 2 and a half teachers on my favourites list, actually. *Even if the first two are a little cliche*
The first would be Lady Lesso.
I just LOVED this woman as Dean of Evil when she was still alive. And the way she was basically always there for Sophie when Agatha wasn't? GRRRR LOVE THAT!!
The second would be Professor Dovey.
She always helped her students, regardless of if they were Good or Evil. I seriously balled my eyes out when she died-
The "half" that you're probably wondering about is Evelyn Sader, because I seriously don't know if she categorises as a teacher or not.
I'm gonna put a TW RIGHT HERE for what may follow, So PLEASE don't come at me.
I genuinely loved her as the villain she was. I heard from a video of Soman's that he thought that Evelyn was like a Sophie without an Agatha (Genius theory btw).
But when she basically non-consensually tried to achieve Arthur's children? Yeah no, that just about gave me the ice about her.
My favourite book would DEFINITELY be A Crystal Of Time.
I'm not sure if this is an unpopular or popular opinion, but oh well!
Like I said, Rhian and Sophie are my favourite characters.
For me, I loved seeing them in action and the insults they shared in their dynamics throughout ACOT!!
It was like the cherry on top for me tbh.
(The plot twist at the end of the book when we found out he died because of his brother shook me. The page is now wrinkled from the amount of tears I shed that night when I first found out-)
But yeah, that's it! Ty for the question!! ^^

How do u think lady lesso's students perceive her AND MAKE IT LONGGGG somehow I'm just rly curious bc she had the whole strict and scary thing going but she is also probably secretly caring (I have mommy issues in case u couldn't tell) <3
BAHAHA I somehow love this question!!
Hmmm...
I would say that in my personal opinion, I think Lady Lasso has particular favourites in the School for Evil. (Totally not hinting at Hester *wink* *wink*).
I feel like just like you said, she tries her best to seem intimidating towards her students, but really she can be a cinnamon roll towards them too.
I also feel like she was a great mother figure for Sophie just as August Sader was for Agatha!! Sometimes, I even wished she was her biological mother. Plus I absolutely LOVEDDD her dynamics with Sophie.
As for Aric, who is her biological son. I'm pretty sure she would still love him if they were both still alive (rip only to Lady Lesso btw; we don't acknowledge devious scum).
I think she was pretty guilty for abandoning Aric in that cave, even though she had no choice, and was truly trying her best to bond a better relationship with her son as his mother.
I can totallyyyy see where Aric is coming from. But the way he was threatening her and attempting to kill her?? I'm pretty sure he took it too far...
But yeah, I can definitely see Lady Lesso overall put on a cold facade for her students to set a clear example, but really, she can be a really caring mother hen when it comes to their safety and wellbeing!!
I'm not sure if this is how long you wanted it to be, (REALLY SORRY IF IT ISN'T!!) but I don't think I have anything else to say! Thank you for the question though! <3

would you rather be in the school for good or the school for evil? which version of the schools do you think was the best? (like the original good/evil or the boys/girls and etc)
As much as I have thought about it, I really don't know.
Some parts of me think that I'm better off in Good, but then there's the other parts that think I would serve well in Evil.
I think that if it ever came to a conclusion, I would be a Never though.
I think I liked the original good/evil school better than the boys/girls.
Not just because of the inequality of both genders in the latter, but I just REALLY felt something for the good/evil schools!
Plus, we get to see our favourite princesses and princes / wizards and witches in their schools..
Thank you for the question though!!!

SGE community....
I need anonymous questions/ just questions in general, and a HEAP of them.
I'm in the mood to type about my feelings because I'm alone on this side of the platform, and it's a waste to let such a perfect series not be talked about enough (that being said, EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD START DOING THIS TOO).
(Btw my emojis are not working, so kindly ignore how dry this seems :) THANK YOU!! )

My ACOTAR books don't contain words, they contain my curiosity
Is it just me, or did Mor give some people the ick since ACOWAR, especially ACOSF.
Despite the "ick", I've been recently doing my research on her backstory with Eris, (I'm a little too obsessed with red-heads), and can't help but wonder if she's hiding something.
This isn't a rare thought, because I know that 95% of the community have picked up on it, but I feel like she isn't completely telling the truth about what happened that night with Eris, and he's keeping quiet to protect her.
I saw that theory on her miscarriage with Cassian, but I highly doubt something like that could've actually happened, (Maybe it could've, because it's not THAT absurd, and could actually make sense).
Either way, Miss Dreamer is defo hiding something from the Inner Circle, even if some members may or may not know, (such as the either of the bat boys), but either way, I really hope these secrets reach the surface in the next ACOTAR book.
But anyways....
Who else is a total simp for Eris Vanserra?

So we all just saw the same video?? That is seriously messed up though on their part and how they seriously think that Tamlin x Elain is actually gonna happen. No way in hell would Sarah possibly write about a girl dating her sister's abusive ex just because she's ReJecTinG the bond?? And the way the person was stating that there were hints such as the flower paintings on Elain's drawer that could lead up to this ship made me sick.
Atp, there's more hints poking at Eris x Azriel more than Elain x Tamlin lmfao
(I'm a sucker for Elucien btw)
people on tiktok talking about elain’s “true” mate and I didn’t watch the video itself because I refuse to treat myself like that but people in the comments mentioned tamlin way too often. why is everyone so scared of sexy, haunted lucien 😩

Who would you say is your least favorite character in SGE, and why?
I'm not too sure if this is a popular or unpopular opinion, but I would probably say Beatrix.
(Sorry to the people that stan her), but I just couldn't STAND her in any of the books, and when I say any of the books, I mean ALL of the books that come after the first one too.
Sure, she's like Sophie 2.0, but tbh, I can see her as a hundred times brattier and useless than Sophie herself.
I didn't really pay attention, but I think she started to become a more caring person towards her friends during the timeline of the fourth to the sixth book.
But yep! That's probably my leastest favourite character out of the whole SGE series. Thank you for the question though! 😁

OKay... so I DID essentially say I was going to further extend my response to their "toxicity", so here it is (thank you for reminding me!)
Please note that I DO NOT think that their entire relationship was toxic. It's only some small areas 😅
For example, I think that the only thing that is really bringing down this couple is the lack of communication that Tedros and Agatha share together.
Extending on this, Agatha tried talking through and through with Tedros throughout the first half of Quests For Glory (dw, I know that they both had their reasons), but Tedros barely listened to her until Merlin came to the rescue (love him for that).
Even in The Last Ever After, there were many different challenges that turned their relationship a bit rocky, but I haven't read SGE in a while, so please forgive me when I say I've forgotten a fair bit 😭
To be fair, though, I loved these times just as much as I hated them, because it made their bond and trust stronger, making them the perfect set of King and Queen of Camelot 😁
Hot take on the SGE ships (part 1??)
So, sometimes I can really get carried away with the SGE ships, but I'm just gonna summarise this one down so it doesn't end up longer than the years the earth has existed 😭
Please note than none of these are in order, and all are situated out as my own opinion.
!! MAJOR SPOILERS ALONG THE WAY TOO !!
Tagatha
I guess these two are appropriate for each other, even though the toxicity of their relationship (I might post about this later) really unbalanced some things.
All in all, I'm fine with Agatha and Tedros as a couple since I seriously can't find someone else that would be appropriate for them, plus they'd make a quite capable pair on leading Camelot
7/10
2. Hophie
-This may offend many, but I just can't find it in me to even ship them 😭
First of all, it seemed like to me that Hort was continuously trying to force Sophie into dating him at least from books 1-3, and halfway through book 4. I ended up putting myself in Sophie's shoes, and found it to be actually quite annoying for someone who likes you whom you can't return the same feelings for repeatedly tries to date you.
0/10 (sorry).
3. Hestadil
One of my fav couples in the series. They were suitable for each other from start to finish, and really developed their relationship over time!
8.5/10
4. Nicphie
Eh, they're alright I suppose. Tbh it can end up as a really cute relationship if developed properly, kinda like enemies x lovers.
7/10
5. Hicola
I actually liked this ship more than Hophie, and that's saying something, given Nicola was only introduced in book 4 and started dating Hort in the exact same book whilst we knew him and Sophie since the very beginning.
Still, I wouldn't quite ship it, since it was a little too fast for me.
5/10
6. Rophie (Rafal and Sophie)
If Rafal wasn't realistically thousands of years old, I would've shipped this with my whole heart, aside from the fact their relationship was a little manipulative.
Firstly, like said before, Rafal is extremely old, making it hard for me to process this ship since he's basically an ancient creep that's hitting on a teenage girl because of some prediction/ prophecy.
Secondly, I'm not sure if it was just me, or he truly did love her, but it seemed like Rafal was trying to gain control of Sophie and manipulate her into doing his bidding.
Aside from all of this, I loved their relationship and ate it up in only 2 sittings! It was like a spicy relationship that kept me entertained for the majority of the time.
9/10!
7. Rhophie (Rhian and Sophie)
Given all of my opinions on the other ships, it even surprised me when I told myself I'm actually okay with this one, when it was literally one of the most toxic and manipulative couples in the whole series.
But then again, (DON'T COME AT ME) as much as it wasn't Rhian's right to rule Camelot, I just think that he was a better king than Tedros for many reasons. Plus, I even felt sorry for him when he died towards the end of book 5.
I would've loved to see him ruling a kingdom (doesn't matter which one) with Sophie! And don't even get me started on their dynamics during ACOT! You may think I'm psychotic, but it is what it is 😭
9.5/10
8. Japaric
I'm okay with this one. They're in fact, so evil, they deserve each other 😭
8.5/10
This is it for now, but I might do a part 2 later, or talk a little more in depth of some of the characters/ships 😁

What would you say your favorite SGE character is and why?
This will be a popular answer, but tbh, I would probably say Sophie.
I think it's because like me, Sophie tries so hard to be appreciated for the things she has accomplished, but rarely gets praised for it.
I also love how she chose friendship over love, even if her best friend didn't, and continued to remain loyal to her even though she knew she had to accept the fact she needed to start letting go.
Don't get me wrong, sometimes she seriously can be a bit of an idiot when it comes to decisions, but I still love her for that.
(Thanks for the question though 😊)

Fandoms fav sge ship voting challenge 😍
I seriously want to see what the majority of Tumblr thinks on these ships. (I'm generally really curious, because I've seen some defend these two under serious circumstances).
If you are more of a Keian shipper (Kei x Rhian), feel free to like.
If you are more of a Jaric/ Japaric shipper (Japeth x Aric), feel free to reblog.
If I see this ending up dramatically, I might do more lmao 😭
And then overall, we'll put all the top picked ships in like a mega battle or smth EJWKNFKRNFF-
LET THE BATTLES BEGIN!!
(Btw, I think I'm more of a Keian shipper 😭)

Unpopular Shian opinion (major spoilers ofc)
This is going to be an insanely unpopular opinion, but am I the only one that thought Sophie should have ended up with Rhian in the end? Supposed he still lived, of course.
Some people may already know that I said in my ship opinions post that I rated this ship a pretty high rating, and know I am one of very few people out there who would actually defend Rhian (not just for Sophie, but for how I truly felt sorry for him before he...ahem, died.)
Just....HEAR ME OUT.
I'm pretty sure that possibly the only reason I ship this is because my nine-year-old dumbass read A Crystal Of Time as the first book in the series, because I seriously thought it was the first one 💀
That reason is probably why it's influencing me to be rooting for these two, but oh well.
Y'all Hophie shippers ain't gonna like this, but I was so infuriated when Sophie chose Hort as her (ig???) Never After.
If you read my opinion on these two in the ship post, you'll know why, which is why I'm also not writing a whole-ass paragraph just to waste my energy 😍
But a brief summary is because Hort literally annoyed Sophie all throughout the first three books, and she literally became jealous of Nicola in the fourth book for "being too close".
Like......what?
Girl you need to make a choice??
If you've made it perfectly clear to Hort you don't like him, then why act so overprotective for???
Now onto my Shian opinion (which, if you're slow like me, is the ship name for Sophie and Rhian).
Listen, I know how intensely manipulative and toxic their relationship was, but think about, so was Tagatha in some ways, and yet people ship them wholeheartedly.
And take a look at the individual characters in Shian??
They had so many similarities both as kids and as their present selves??
The both of them had mother issues, probably father too, and thought they were the favourite of their mother in the process.
They both thought they were destined to be good, and aspiring towards similar goals.
In depth of the second note, Sophie believed she was good, yet became a Never instead. By becoming this, it shows the Woods of her physical attributes, but never on what she's intending on.
Agatha had even stated somewhere in the fifth book to her that she was a good witch, too:
"You're a witch! Supposedly a good one!"
As if she were questioning Sophie's very core.
Hmm... maybe Soman's trying to hint something out??
Now for Rhian, he confessed to Sophie in chapter 24 of ACOT that his devious actions were "in the service of good, to raise people up."
I honestly don't know if he's bulling on that or he's actually being serious, but to the reader, and the "rebels" of the story, he is one of the main villains in "the Camelot years".
Whilst to his fans, who think they know his story, he was probably a more devoted Ever, and a hero to Good in a way even more than the Lady of the Lake ever was.
3. They're both vying for power, even if they're cowards to admit it.
Respectfully, anyone who says Rhian didn't become king just for power can feel free to never talk to me again (joking I love you 😭).
He was a coward to admit it, and even said he was doing it for love, but ofc we know better.
And then there's Sophie, which is just downright obvious.
For goodness sake, she literally became engaged to an Evil sorcerer just to become Evil's queen (okay, that and Rafal's love).
4. They're both entitled brats
These two are literal suck-ups to their leaders, in other words, side-kicks.
In Sophie's story, she was literally Agatha's number two, and she knows it very well. She may have the award for biggest air-headed prat of the year, but she knows it deep down that Tedros will always come first. For god's sake, her best friend's literally married to him.
(Sorry but) As much as I stan Rhian for takin Tedros' spot as a leader, he was just as a suck-up to him too.
5. LASTLY, I PROMISE... They both savoured their deeds for an inch of love too.
Sophie sacrificed sh just to find her true love, whilst Rhian did everything, and anything in his endeavour to bring Evelyn back.
That is touche crap on a cracker, ngl.
Irrelevent, but Sophie literally tells everyone she's done with her love life and that she's focusing on herself, when suddenly Debra Sue comes walking out of nowhere two chapters later.
Like, honey. Are you okay?
What happened to a healthier lifestyle?? Just because I love love LOVED her dynamic with Rhian, doesn't mean it wasn't toxic asf.
He was literally abusing her physically, mentally, and perhaps almost sexually violating her too, (yeah, remember that one scene where he was "dolling her up" in his mothers clothes in chapter three of ACOT??)
Brief summary:
To be fair, Rhian never did anything for Sophie to ensure protection. He didn't even keep her truthfully happy, or even vice versa.
He took her out on "dates", and said he would hardly have called it "dating".
Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I forgetting to mention he literally didn't know if he was more loyal to her or his own brother towards the end of the book? His own brother??
Are you serious?? Those are some serious standards I wish I could've seen 😭
Either Rhian didn't love Japeth enough, or he loved Sophie so desperately he was willing to ditch his brother just for her.
And do you guys remember at the beginning of TLEA when Tedros and Agatha were driving each other delusional over their love for each other?? I seriously wish that Rhian was still alive so he and Sophie could go through a similar situation 😩
And the more realistic idea as to why I would've been okay for them to be together is because he was the last love interest for Sophie (Istag if someone says it was Japeth, I'm actually gonna-)
And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is probably not the end of this ship. 🤪
Please feel free to disagree, as all opinions here are respected. 😋
BUT,,, please take mine in advance 😉
