hey guys, i have some good news!!

remember my friend @aburakhiaibrahim? he's just told me that his sister samah, who lives in canada, applied for family reunification and was approved! this means that ibrahim and his family can now go join her in canada. she's also the one running his fundraiser campaign, by the way!

however, there's an issue -- to go to canada, to samah and to safety, ibrahim and his family need to reach egypt first. and we all know that crossing the border into egypt is no easy feat, especially when you consider the exorbitant amount of money they require.

ibrahim and his family have lost everything - their family, home, livelihoods. this is the one chance they have to making it to safety. their goal is $30k CAD, but they're only at around $13k at the time of writing this post. not even halfway. he's reached out to me and i promised to do my best to help, which is why i'm writing this. he's my friend and i want nothing more than for him and his family to be safe.

so please, please, donate what you can. bear in mind that because of conversion rates, even $5 USD or 5 euro would mean a lot to ibrahim. if you are unable to donate, please reblog. please. their last donation was 4 days ago. they can see a way out - please help them reach there.

Aether laid in bed, finally able to relax after saving Nahida and Sumeru. But he couldn’t sleep. All he could do was toss and turn while his interaction with her before facing Scaramouche played on repeat.

‘Nahida said that an Archon’s power is derived from the faith of the people, but Venti said that he was weakest due to not having power over Mondstadt. Are they mistaken, is someone lying? Nahida wouldn’t, why would she? But why would Venti lie?’

He tossed and turned with the constant barrage of his thoughts keep Aether from sleep until the first rays of dawn cracked through the sliver of a gap in the curtains.

He swings his legs over the edge of the bed, stretching his arms over his head, Paimon still deep in sleep beside him. He stood up and quietly left the room. Strolling down the street, Aether admired the early morning scene of Sumeru city. The soft light of the sun just peeking over the horizon, the quiet murmurs of the market traders setting up shop for the day, the cool wind blowing his hair.

He returned to the room just as Paimon was waking up herself.

“Morning Traveler, you’re up early.”

“Yeah, couldn’t sleep. I need to talk to Nahida about something, we can go get breakfast on the way.”

“What do you need to talk to her about? Is something wrong?!?” Paimon’s voice increasingly filled with worry.

“Nothing like what you’re thinking, just something she said earlier.”

“Oh, that’s good. What are you waiting for, let’s go!”

The two wander down the main street, now crowded as people went about their days shopping. The pair picked up breakfast, before making their way up to the Sanctuary of Surasthana. Just outside, Nahida and an Akademiya researcher were talking. Nahida glances over his shoulder and smiles at them.

“Traveler! Paimon! Nice to see you! Is there anything you need?”

“Sorry to interrupt your conversation, we don’t mind waiting.” Paimon replied quickly.

“Oh no, I was just leaving.” The researcher said back, moving past them towards the Akademiya.

“What brings you here Traveler?”

“About what you said on the source of an Archon’s power. I’m curious as to how you know this.”

“Why? Is it that you don’t trust me? Or did you receive conflicting information from someone else?”

“Well, when we met Barbatos, he said that he was now the weakest archon and that their strength is derived from the power they hold in their nation. It’s just that, with what you said would make him one of the strongest. I’m just trying to figure this out.” Aether explains, watching as Nahida’s face scrunches in thought.

“That is interesting, his logic would both put us as the weaker archons, but…” she trails off in thought.

“What is it Nahida, is Tone Deaf Bard wrong?”

“It’s just that, and I know this doesn’t constitute anything, but as Archon, it’s just something you can feel. Maybe the Archons derive strength from the thing least acquirable to them, but no, I’m certain on what I said before.”

“Thank you for the information Nahida. Come on Paimon, we’re going to Mondstadt.”

After several days on the road, the two finally arrive at the gates to Mondstadt. They make their way to the Statue of Barbatos, catching sight of a familiar figure in green performing in the centre of a crowd. Aether and Paimon join the mass of people, listening to the songs from a jovial bard. Eventually, the music finishes and the crowd begins to disperse, and the traveler and his companion go to greet him.

“Traveler, Paimon, to what do I owe the pleasure of your company.”

“Tone Deaf Bard!!!! You have some explaining to do!!!” Paimon cries out.

“Ah, I see,” Venti meets eyes with Aether for a moment, “Meet me at Windrise in an hour.” Venti dips away and disappears in the thinning crowd.

They wait by the great tree, shaded by its large branches, until the silhouette of the bars comes into view in the distance.

“I suspect this is some more Archon related inquiries.”

“Ooohhh, you’re going to get it Tone Deaf Bard!!!”

“Paimon. During our journey in Sumeru, we heard from the Dendro Archon that power is derived from the people’s faith, contradicting what you said to us. Care to explain?” Aether interrogated.

“Ah, that. So you know about, huh? Well let’s just say that some things are not as they seem.” Venti scratches the back of his head. “I’m sure we’ll see each other again, Traveler. Until then-“ and with that, the bars vanished just as he did when they first saw each other. Paimon screams in rage, while Aether’s thoughts begin to swirl once again. Something was clearly going on, and he would find out what.

Dear my kind donors!

I am a mother of three children. We have lived through the war for a year and a half, and we have lost everything we own. My husband is a man who did not work. Before the war, I did not have a breadwinner or any source of income. During the war I didn't give up to teach so I volunteered and had good chance to help some students to get engaged again with English in a very creative way.

We are in tents for almost two years because our home was destroyed and my kids are starving now with no enough food  😭‼️🥺After our several evacuation from place to another.Now we don't have a house after it was destroyed by missiles. I now ask you to help me rebuild my house. And buy basics for the daily essentials for my children and I need money so that we can stand up again and start again.

This war wasn't easy at all it has taken many friends at work, students and some of my colleagues at the university. They are almost ten souls I won't never forget . Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

The crossings boarders are closed again these days and war return in Gaza.  The crossing through which food enters has been closed for more than 30 days. We have nothing to eat, and even if we do, the prices are exorbitant. Some of the prices listed are:

1 kg of meat = $100 now there is no meat

1 chicken = 70$ there is no chicken

1 kg of fish = 100$ now it costs 200$

1 bag of flour = $200 now it costs 600$

1 kg of cooking gas = $150 now it costs 1000$

1 kg of sugar = $50

1 kg of eggplant = $20

1 kg of onions = $50

1 kg of tomatoes = $20
