Well that was a fun 31 days and i’m gonna close this horror movie marathon with house of 1000 corpses!! What needs to be said? This movie looks awesome, of course the characters are a lot of fun, the acting is great but the soundtrack and score are so perfect I think it puts this movie over the top for me. I just dig it. 5 out of 5 Pentagrams WTF Moment: is it crazy of me to think that if I’m ever murdered I want it to be by Baby?? I know I know, it’s the first Crow you watch on devils night but I just watch it a few months back. There is some stuff I love about this movie The aesthetic inside design being first. The movie just looks great. It’s a really gross dank LA sad against perpetual darkness. The acting is okay. Okay Iggy Pop is not great but some how still awesome as a fan I’m glad he’s in it. Went over to the shelf and picked something with my eyes closed And got this move. I have not seen this one since it came out. To my surprise this movie is pretty good and has aged well. It’s got some great kills and gross outs. My new yearly tradition! I absolutely love this movie! One of The best anthologies. 10 crazy over the top Halloween story’s by different Director all intertwined in the same town on the same night. I’ve watched this so many times now even the weak story’s are becoming classic to me. This time around I fell in love with the one I call Jason VS the Evil Dead! Devils Rejects is a Favorite in my house. I love everything about it right down to the soundtrack. I could watch William Forsythe in this all day. An awesome performance for sure. But it has everything. Comedy, violence, action, gore it’s all there for the horror fans. 5 out of 5 Pentagrams. So Bad it’s good. Re-Animator has always been a fun move. I totally get why it has such a cult following. I may not be one I watched all the time growing up but I remember catching it late at night on TV a few times. I won’t spoil this. And I don’t like to review movies I have just watched But I had a lot of fun with Halloween 2018 and it is definitely the best slasher I have seen in awhile. The filmmakers and cast know and get the source material, it pays homage yet still feels fresh. They don’t hold back and the kills are brutal. Nothing seems forced. It just is and that’s all I wanted. Well what else do you watch on the day Canada legalizes recreational cannabis? Let’s face it space Full Moon entertainment is not what it used to be from the 90s. Even the cheap little low-budget movies from then had some merit. Evil Bong is just bad. Everything about it is dumb. It may actually be insulting to pot heads. The movie is basically shot in one room with dream sequences in strip clubs with gratuitous nudity that can’t be justified. Special appearances by Tommy Chong and Bill Moseley don’t help either. But what do I know there are like 5 of these moves. Maybe one day I will give it another chance Well blazing with some buddies. Visiting hours from 1982 is not the great slasher move I remember from 30 years ago. It’s not really bad.the acting is okay and it looks fine it’s just sort of boring. Some of these slashers just don’t hold up and feel dated. It lacks the charm of say some later 80’s movies. But it is pretty original plot wise. This is the type of move you remake not a movie like Elm street that still works. Well this was a Unsettling movie! Holy shit! I’m actually surprised I haven’t heard more people talking about this one. I have had it on a list of movies to watch forever. I went in cold I have never even seen a trailer. Wow. Outside of a few pacing problems I really liked this movie. I was really excited about the twist once I figured out. It is handled really well. The acting is pretty good and the movie is shot well. Had so much fun with puppet master the other night I decided to watch two and three. Don’t really have much to say about part two it’s kind of more of the same as part one. Maybe executed a bit better but not a better movie. . 2 out of 3 Pentagrams. WTF moment: The life-size puppets are terrifying! . Part three on the other hand is absolutely awesome maybe the best puppet master. It’s just the classic age-old story about a man who takes revenge on Nazis with his killer puppets.
