I made this MBTI chart that matches Myers-Briggs Personality types with the Houses at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I think that using this chart is more accurate than personality quizzes you may find elsewhere. At Ilvermorny, the sorting ceremony is done differently than at Hogwarts. As J.K. Rowling writes in the Ilvermorny story on Pottermore, enchanted carvings of the creatures representing the houses signal if they want the student. If more than one carving signifies its wish to include the student in its house, the choice rests with the student. Three personality types (highlighted in gold) are listed next to multiple houses and they may choose their house (see note below chart).

The personality types are divided among the houses mainly by the traits they have. In general, Pukwudgie has FJ (Feeling/Judging), Horned Serpent has NT (Intuitive/Thinking), Thunderbird has FP (Feeling/Prospecting), and Wampus has ST (Observant/Thinking). There are a few exceptions and some of the types fit with more than one house. Even though the numbers of traits representing each house are different, the houses are divided approximately equally since some personality types are more common than others.

To help you understand the Ilvermorny houses, here is a brief summary: Pukwudgie - Represents the heart, favors healers. Horned Serpent - Represents the mind, favors scholars. Thunderbird - Represents the soul, favors adventurers. Wampus - Represents the body, favors warriors.

If you don’t yet know your personality type, I suggest 16personalities.com. They have a really good, free personality test and the descriptions are so accurate that it’s kind of creepy.

I made this Harry Potter MBTI chart that matches Myers-Briggs Personality types with the Hogwarts Houses. I think that using this chart is more accurate than personality quizzes you may find elsewhere, although, since the sorting hat considers your choice as well, you may change your house based on what you value (see note below chart).

The traits are divided among the houses mainly by the Intuitive(N)/Observant(S) trait (Creative vs. Practical) and the Feeling(F)/Thinking(T) trait (Prioritizing feelings vs. logic). In general, Gryffindor has NF, Ravenclaw has NT, Hufflepuff has SF, and Slytherin has ST. The only exception is that ISTJ was moved to Ravenclaw and ISFP was moved to Gryffindor. Even though the numbers of traits representing each house are different, the houses are divided approximately equally since some personality types are more common than others.
