if you're here because the artsy fartsy part linked you here--hi! uh, there's nothing really here, to be honest. i once used this blog to host WIPs, but i don't feel comfortable sharing that out in public without protecting it anymore, especially with all the mass artistic thievery. and... well... it's a hassle doing it for my art. i can't be bothered to do it for screenshots of fannish stuff i write for fun and wanted to laugh about with people. i will still be using this to hotlink the occasional illustration in my fic, but that's about it. i probably won't bother listing links to the 51(++, if you count the spicy ones I've written UNDER ANOTHER NAME I'M NOT TELLING YOU EVER OR CONFIRMING IF YOU DETECTIVE IT OUT YOURSELF) fics I've published on AO3 at the time of writing, but they're there! And I see myself remaining active in the prose-writing until the day I perish and return to the earth so... yeah just go over there for the whole list.

Hisaki's Got No Dad

SUMMARY:

When Hisaki was four, he watched Bakugou Katsuki's face grow white as a villain pulverized Midoriya Izuku into nothingness on live TV.

Ten years later, Katsuki tells him they're leaving America and moving to Japan. There are no ifs or buts--he is the parent, and Hisaki is the child.

To which, Hisaki takes offense at; at one point in these ten years did Hisaki actually have a parent?

AUTHOR NOTES:

A semi-personal long fic that exploring a fractured, dysfunctional father-and-son dynamic submerged in grief. Some (but not all) other things to expect: generational trauma, cultural differences, timezones, Kacchan being a the kind of dad that puts his thumb on the phone camera, multiple comparisons to Endeavour, Uraraka and Todoroki doting on Hisaki, and overall former Class 1-A mutually supporting each other as adults because in an ideal world, I think that's how it should be.

Things are guaranteed to get better but not without significant effort from all parties.

Also, this is the main fic for the "Hisaki's Got No Dad" AU. Will update sporadically, with some updates containing multimedia. I will also continue adding prequel oneshots to this universe, but they're not necessary to understand this fic.

So. Actually. I had this fic done since Oct 28, 2021 or Oct 21, 2021--the point is, it wasn't long after Chapter 322: #BKDKApology debuted in the manga. And the whole reason I even wrote it was because I was visiting a friend at the time and I had insane insomnia. So what is one to do? Try to sleep? Of course not, you write BKDK fanfic!

But then I finished it, felt like it could be better and so I kept it in WIPs a little longer... until... oopsie, it's 2023 and the anime finally animated the apology.

For Deku, this means admitting his feelings for Bakugou, although the first person he admits this to is not Bakugou, but Ochako.

To her surprise, this leads Ochako to realize she never had feelings for Deku to begin with, and that his new plight may not be so alien to her after all.

STARTING AUTHOR NOTE:

This is a brainworm caused by the dialogue Uraraka and Yaoyorozu have towards each other in the MHA: The Strongest Heroes mobile game. If Yaoyorozu bumps into Uraraka on a side mission during pathfinding, she’ll ask Uraraka if she wants some candy, to which Uraraka will readily agree. If Uraraka bumps into Yaoyorozu, she’ll state how great tea the Yaoyorozu made was, which Yaoyorozu will then say, “How about a drink after this?” Also, while feeding Uraraka, she’ll mention how mochi is the tastiest when paired with Yaoyorozu’s tea.

Therefore, in my professional opinion, these two are gay for each other and I do not take constructive criticism for this.

Also also, “Momo” is the word for peaches in Japanese. “Cha” is actually present in Ochako’s name, and it is the character for tea. So together, they are the Peach Tea Ship which is a cute AF ship and look at what we have here—there is such a thing as peach tea! CANON! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peach_blossom_tea
