The night is darkening round me,
The wild winds coldly blow;
But a tyrant spell has bound me
And I cannot, cannot go.
The giant trees are bending
Their bare boughs weighed with snow.
And the storm is fast descending,
And yet I cannot go.
Clouds beyond clouds above me,
Wastes beyond wastes below;
But nothing drear can move me;
I will not, cannot go.

The Bells
Hear the sledges with the bells --             Silver bells! What a world of merriment their melody foretells!       How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,           In the icy air of night!       While the stars that oversprinkle       All the heavens, seem to twinkle           With a crystalline delight;         Keeping time, time, time,         In a sort of Runic rhyme, To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells    From the bells, bells, bells, bells,               Bells, bells, bells --  From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.
Edgar Allen Poe- "The Bells"

I should write a winter story about an ice queen who falls in love with a fire general. How does one write a story about a cruel queen and a brave general?

Ice Queen fantasy
Long before the elementalists appeared among the higher beings, the lands of the Kuum continent had already been divided between the initial 3 kingdoms: Maath, Suum and Kaar. Once the elementalists sprouted from the higher beings' ranks, they ran with war and divided the lands again - one kingdom for every source element: Suu- for Water, Maat- for Earth, Kaa- for Air and Ruum- for Fire. Each kingdom fought, divided and conquered. And after 500 high years, the kingdoms established themselves and began to prosper. The common higher beings, without any elemental abilities, went on to be known as commoners, while the mortal beings, or humans, went on to be known as protected.
