Interesting to think about Joplittle in the sense that they are the two people who Crozier allows to know the extent of his alcoholism. Jopson because he trusts him to provide the alcohol, be discreet, and care for him. Little because he knows he can bully him into finding it for him and he doesn’t care enough about his opinion to be embarrassed about it…

I think the single most fantastical and unrealistic thing that happens in The Terror is John Ross and James Clark Ross sitting next to each other in the scene where Sophia and Lady Jane address the admiralty/Arctic Council. No way. I don’t think you could have put JCR, John Ross, and John Barrow in the same room without an incident let alone have them sit next to each other good lord

Crozier telling Edward to get whisky from James’ personal stores is so funny to me cause like James is so clearly a fruity vodka or gin drink girly ONLY. She is NOT drinking whisky… Wine is good too cause she can swirl the glass for effect when telling stories
