can’t wait to see the deh movie, i’ve only heard bad things about it and i hope it’s gonna be bad in the way that you can have fun while watching it
also, i’m probably gonna watch it in italian first, with the translated songs, which is likely gonna add an additional layer of badness
#dear evean hansen#to clarify: usually translated/dubbed stuff is pretty good but#it doesn't work out great for songs imo#(some exceptions can be found in disney movies but that's another subject matter)#i do not like much musicals with translated songs cause you lose a bit of meaning#also i am so used to the original songs that i am probably gonna sit there feeling weird hearing different songs#am i gonna cry anyway? i hope so#i was planning on watching it in a cinema but they kept the movie for like two weeks - the ones i was super busy and could not make it ofc

hate to be that person that can’t let go of hamilton, but jfc that musical is such a work of art, i can’t believe i still love it this much
#like....why is that so beautiful#everytime i rewatch that i'm blown away by the sheer talent of the actors and actresses#the range!!!!!!!!!#also there's so much more going on screen#besides the songs where there's just one or two characters on screen - which are much more powerful cause of the unusual absence of people#the choreography........#the music...................#i can't believe i care so much about a musical that talks about a story i would normally not care at all#i do not like history and i do not care much about american history in particular#i never would have thought i would have enjoyed this musical so much#my friends are great and all but the only thing we can act together is hamilton#me speaks
