She became the only transgender model to star at London Fashion Week in 2017, walking for Giles Deacon, who designed Pippa Middleton's wedding dress. An outspoken trans activist, Talulah has lashed out at the lack of diversity within the fashion industry and was invited to speak at Oxford University.

Christine Jorgensen Born in 1926, Christine Jorgensen became the first person to publicly transition from male to female in the United States. Born in New York, she was an Army clerk pre-transition. In the early 1950s, she learned of a Danish doctor, Christian Hamburger, who was experimenting with gender therapy using hormones. She began hormone therapy shortly thereafter and then had Dr. Hamburger perform reassigment surgery in Denmark a few years later. Upon her return, she made national news with the headline "Ex-GI Becomes Blonde Beauty" in the New York Daily News. She became a tabloid sensation overnight.

Renee Richards, a former pro tennis player who experienced success on the pro circuit in the 1970's, became widely known following male-to-female reassignment surgery when she fought to compete as a woman in the 1976 US Open. It was that year The United States Tennis Association began requiring genetic screening for female players. She challenged this policy and the New York Supreme Court ruled in her favor. This became a landmark case for transgender rights. As one of the first professional athletes to identify as transgender, she became a spokesperson for the community. After retiring as a player, she coached Martina Navratilova to two Wimbledon titles.

Tracey Norman
Tracey Norman is an American model and first African-American transgender woman model to appear on a box of Clairol hair-coloring in the 1970s and modeled for and been photographed for such publications as Essence, Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar India.
In 1980, her career went cold after her gender identity was disclosed. However, after a biographical piece was written about Norman in 2015, Clairol announced in 2016 that Norman would become the face of their 'Nice 'n Easy Color As Real As You Are'campaign stating, "Clairol is honored to bring back Tracey Norman as a woman who no longer has to hide her truth."

Parinya Charoenphol, also known by the stage names Parinya Kiatbusaba and Nong Toom, is a transgender Thai boxer, former Muay Thai champion, model and actress.
Accenting a very successful fighting career, Parinya has enjoyed a flourishing film and television career not only playing a pivotal role in the 2006 superhero action film Mercury Man but appearing as a guest star on the SBS television series "World Record Pizza" and Rallarsving (Sweden).
Her life as a trans woman is part of the book Ladyboys: The Secret World of Thailand's Third Gender by Maverick House Publishers. Additionally, her story was included in Julina Khusaini's 2003 National Geographic documentary Hidden Genders.
