GUESS WHO’S BACK

HAHA

anyways, i’ve decided to do a little something. it’s not fanart because honestly, art is hard (who would’ve thought)

instead... i’m doing some writing

on jon and chie (with a sprinkle of amber). characters belong to @maariamph

i’m doing this because 1) i love phantomland and 2) i want to practice improving my writing. now, don’t judge me. this is my first time writing headcanons (sorry if they’re too ooc) and i’m doing this mostly based off of the fluffy sketches i see of jon and chie

anyways, enjoy this scenario i made up :-)

“You should get some sleep.”

Even though Chie is improving in training with Jon she still has to work hard in order to not lose that effort. And she does.

Sometimes, in fact, she overworks herself to the point of (almost) passing out

Of course, Jon doesn’t let this slide

At first, Jon scolds her and, to Chie, even seems disappointed and irritated

This drives her to work harder

Being as stoic as ever, Jon contains his conflicted feelings. He sees Chie push herself and wants to make her rest for a proper amount of time. However... at the same time, he wants to encourage her to keep pushing. He wants her to be better. Stronger.

Some twisted part of him wanting to see the fight in this girl grow

But also so that if he ever wasn’t there, she would be okay.

Amber is more observational than one would think and, of course, it doesn’t go unnoticed by her that Jon is a little preoccupied

She doesn’t beat around the bush

She pats (pretty aggressively) him on the back (he chokes a little on his drink) and tells him to either stop worrying about her for one goddamn minute, or, to do something about it (a little more calmly this time)

God knows how many times Amber (and Elias) have seen this type of situation with Jon and Chie

So. Being the gentleman he is, Jon approaches Chie (for the nth time) with a less intimidating aura surrounding him and sinply says

“You should get some sleep.”

Chie looks at him with exhausted eyes that say ‘thank you’ and is led to her bedroom

With the little strength she has, she scoots under the covers and mumbles “tuck me in” with a little drowsy smile

Jon pointedly looks at her

But soon she is dead asleep and quiet as ever

Jon stands there for a bit. Then clicks his tongue

And tucks her in

don’t know how tumblr works so—

here is some fanart. these characters (jon and chie) belong to the lovely @maariamph who has a webcomic called phantomland (with these characters) that i highly recommend. let me tell you when she pulled out those sketches of jon and chie... i had never fallen in love so fast. anyways, i made this blog just for the fanart i’m going to be doing of all the characters i love ☺️
