sooooo sickening to think about how the loss of vi and jinx's parents has impacted them in such different ways. vi has more memories of their parents and of vander so she's grown up knowing what it feels like to love and cherish a big family while jinx likely doesn't remember much about their parents so as a result her focus has always been on keeping vi close because she's the last immediate family member she really has. the loss of their parents reminds them both of why family is important but to vi it's about giving as much love to as many people she cares about while she can and to jinx it's about keeping the family she has left close while she can. and it's so clear in the beginning of the show when vi falls to her knees and sobs when she sees her parents died but powder's immediate reaction is to hug vi. and at the end of the show when vi starts crying over vander but jinx is only focused on trying to lead vi to safety. they make me sooo feral
