Man i miss my 2019 IT Chapter 2 phase and Reddie phase, i don't have anymore friends to talk about them since we've all grown apart but the IT fandom then was really detrimental to how i acted online and really helped me with my writing too there were so many fun people i mey and spoke woth during that time

It's so interesting to think about these two and what their relationship could have been like if they never had that fight, like I still keep going back to it

Would when Traveler first meets Alhaitham find an Alhaitham content with life and just wanting to go home to his husband, maybe smiling a tiny bit from time to time because he had someone with him for years to make sense of his emotions and help him express it from time to time.

Would they see an Alhaitham worried about what this mission could end with and be glad that Kaveh won't be here incase anything happens and that his will is already set to have everything transferred to Kaveh.

Would they find an Alhaitham being held tightly by a blonde man when they go and find hin to talk to him about the invitation and watch as they see the couple cling onto each other. And all because they never had to lose each other in the first place and that the idea of losing each other could break them.

Had this idea floating around and it might end up becoming a full fledged fic by me or someone else idk but its basically humanoid Mehrak with a backstory.

Okay so.... Also Kaveh and Alhaitham are the reincarnation of Goddess of flowers and Deshret in the au

Imagine like there are carvings on the ruins that depicted Deshret, Goddess of flowers, the priest that kinda looks like Cyno Rukka and a fifth member of the group, the first ever sumeru architect made from magic and ancient technology, they built the mausoleum, they built most of the ruins in the desert, they were never given a name but Deshret and Goddess of flowers treated the being like their child, and then flowers died and Deshret became heartbroken and filled the land of forbidden knowledge. And so the unknown architect that was loved by many, especially Deshret and Goddess of flowers, used whatever residue they had with any magic in their mechanical type body, producing a core, throwing it into a ruin as their coding becomes corrupted, giving them red eyes before, they and the core they separated from would shut down and be sealed off in a ruin, until the core was found and awakened and given a new hopefully temporary form and given a name, finally they had a name Mehrak.

And like yeah so then like they become humanoid again because of maybe a layline disorder in one of those ruins or something and they reveal like what they used to do and what they built in life before forbidden knowledge came about and the one thing they wanted was a family and now they have Kaveh.... and Alhaitham but mainly Kaveh and nothing will take them away from their dad.

Spoilers for new event

Everyone else: Dealing with so much shit and trauma a little and a lot of fights, also Alhaitham uses forbidden knowledge and goes feral for like a moment and gets bonked on the head

Okay fandom, we have seen all these Kavetham/Haikaveh Howl's Moving Castle au's and art and all that.... but please if people make anymore, I need to see Mehrak as Calcifer because it makes so much sense, also Mehrak as a green gold fire blob who's sassy like Kaveh, like I just need it and its hilarious and I can hear Mehrak telling Kaveh in said au that Alhaitham was bullying him, but yes Kaveh as Howl, Alhaitham as Sophie and Mehrak as Calcifer is just perfect

Okay, so I saw this post by @yourcrumblingsaikiisnotmyproblem and now they got me spiraling into idea town and apologies if nothing makes sense, I am half asleep and writing this on like three hours of sleep but the ideas would not stop flowing through my brain so enjoy the rambling!

Okay, so they find something big that they need to hide from the sages, from everyone, no on can know about this, maybe it has something to do with forbidden knowledge or we could go down the whole reincarnation au route if you want to put that in.

They are both scared, they make many trips to the desert to discuss what they found and how everyone else would react and they both agree to get rid of it and look like they both fell out to trick everyone so that the information cannot be known.

Alhaitham is the one to come up with the fight, though knowing about Kaveh's past promises that they will still be best friends, that nothing can separate them, Alhaitham maybe makes a comment about how they're each others mirror and that's when Kaveh kisses him. Fueled with those feelings, they need to get this right, they have one chance to act the biggest fight the Akademiya will ever see in its history.

They are both so nervous when the day arrives they have to constantly touch each other, reassure each other that nothing between them will change, they are still Kaveh and Alhaitham, two halves if a whole mirror.

So the fight happens, Kaveh is pulling up every inch of drama acting he has seen anywhere, he cries on the spot, he screams at Alhaitham and he rips up the thesis paper before storming out. He hides away during the rest of the day in an area that will one day become the space of the Palace of Alcazarzaray.

Alhaitham finds him, and to keep up the charade, they will have to be apart for a while, maybe Kaveh goes to Fontaine for a few weeks, maybe Alhaitham visits for a week and who knows, maybe those two get spontaneously married.

So years go by, Kaveh builds and makes a reputation, Alhaitham becomes the scribe, they're both wearing matching ringers under their outfits so they don't get lost and missing each other seems to be on their mind, they think they can be seen together without suspicion from the sages, especially Azar, if they have the right motive... so Kaveh us under commission at this time from Dori and he comes up with an idea, he talks with her and they come to an agreement, Kaveh pretends to be broke and in debt to Dori when really he isn't, he's the light of Kshahrewar, he's not broke, but he'll do a couple of free commissions for her after the palace is built (we pretend the withering zone story is part of the cover up that those two discussed) Dori is also the only one to know most of the details about years ago since she needed the context but not what the research was about.

So Kaveh pretends to be broke, gets "drunk" at Lambards and in comes Alhaitham with the next part of the plan, and so that's how in everyone's eyes, two ex friends became "roommates."

They don't reveal they are married until after Alhaitham resigns from acting grand sage and all the new sages are chosen, the reveal causes everyone to question everything about them, and Alhaitham and Kaveh just smile and go about their business, Alhaitham is reading, Kaveh is drinking but avoiding questions and under the table their pinkies are linked together, two halves of a whole mirror rightfully together.

Here is more of a headcanon of mine since quite a lot of people seem to like what I post regarding this ship

Okay so we know that they both have this one language they studied together because of the event, so like just imagine them talking to each other in the language and saying whatever they wanted because no one would know what they are saying.

Bonus, that's how Alhaitham confessed to Kaveh in the language that they both know, using the thing that almost ruined their friendship/relationship and turning it anew and making something wonderful from it, replacing that bad memory of it being something it ruined to then being replaced with it rebuilding something new.

Yes! Oh my god, okay as someone who plays dnd I can see that

Cyno as a bard, but his bard only tells jokes to entertain.

Tighnari as a druid who multi classes as a cleric, because it reminds him of dendro, but also the vine cantrip would make him think of why he wanted a dendro vision but also this group needs a healer and he does not trust on anyone else keeping them alive

Now.... people would think Alhaitham would be an artificer because Alhaitham definitely gives me Percy vibes from the legend of Vox Machina but think about it... Kaveh would perfect fit an artificer, hell he'd already made Mehrak, so his character would definitely build a companion and just make things

Alhaitham I can definitely see as a rogue, silent but deadly, definitely keeping to himself, also can see the group trying to find a way in the dungeon or something, Cyno, Tighnari and Kaveh are bickering or talking and Alhaitham with his sneak and slight of hand could have the door unlocked in a matter of moments and gotten the Intel they needed.

The Sumeru boys would absolutely play dnd trust me

Here is another thought process from your friendly Kaveh x Alhaitham gal

Mehrak has a communication device implanted into them to communicate with Alhaitham through the ear pieces incase anything happened to Kaveh because they both care about Kaveh and would do anything to keep him safe.

Mehrak is very protective over Kaveh and has a secret facial expression thanks to watching Hat guy in the tournament.... Alhaitham now has to suffer a literal tool box poking its tongue at him digitally whenever he gets into an argument with Kaveh.

Slight spoilers for Kaveh's hangout

If we all agree that the grey haired man reading a book is Alhaitham's dad and the fact that Alhaitham doesn't remember much of his parents, can we just imagine Kaveh showing Alhaitham the drawing his mother drew of the father gang and have Alhaitham see something of one half of his parents, like they could just spend time with each other on the couch as they look at this drawing.... I just.... these two make me sob for real

Random thought.

Kaveh and Yusuke from Persona 5 are very similar and I think they would definitely get along.

Also Chide is Akechi and Dottore is Adachi change my mind.

I love making comparisons with my favourite games and I should think about some more.
