A Reintroduction

At this point, I can't exactly say how long I've had this particular tumblr for because I've been on this site for years, in various iterations with various blogs each relevant to my life at the time.

But this tumblr has definitely been my "general" space for all intents and purposes and rather than starting anew (as I am needing to do with many other areas of my life currently), I've decided to return to this space and utilize it to be a blog representative of me now. So here's a little about me and what you may find here:

I'm Lauren, I'm in my 30s, and live in Chicago. Fandom and "fangirling" have been a part of me and my life since I was a teenager and I love having a space to share the things that I enjoy. In recent years, I've found that my idea of fandom and fan culture has become more broad. I'm less ingrained in one primary fandom and more just looking for a space to express my excitement over what is giving me escape and reprieve during difficult days. I love to read good fanfic, browse gifsets, and just chat about whatever it is that I'm enjoying.

Currently, I'm hyperfixated on Olympo (please come talk to me about Roque and Sebas) while always loving things like Marvel, Heartstopper, SKAM, and theatre.

As cheesy at it may sound, I'm in a "finding myself" stage of life. I'm being laid off from my job, going to Europe for a few weeks (planned before the layoff), and trying to not let the fears and anxiety of this AI-driven and politically infuriating world get to me in a way that causes me to further lose myself and my drive.

I hope to write things here on occassion but otherwise just do some fangirling, share some thoughts, and hopefully find some sense of community. Come talk to me about what you are a fan of and what fandom means to you. I'm excited to be figuring that out again for myself.
