"Well if all the cool kids are doing it, then we have to." Frank held up his hand for a high five.

Sara automatically grinned back “Sure. Or we could high-five on it because you know, that’s what all the cool kids are doing.”

"Officially friends. Should we shake on it or something?" Frank grinned back at her.

"That’s quite a request, but I suppose I don’t have a choice. I mean who else would voluntarily make an idiot out of themselves just to cheer me up? Officially friends." She grins and nods.

"Well, then, we'll just have to be friends now. I need a Catwoman in my life."

"Yeah, that’s definitely me." She smiles, nodding in agreement.

"Exactly like that." Frank nodded. "Pretty, and reckless, and she doesn't take any shit from anyone."

"Really? I like that description." She giggled and pushed her hair from her face to stay behind her ear, which had become a habit of hers over the years. "Like, pretty but reckless."

Probably. There was girl stuff in there. I just put my head in the donut hole and snacked until Alice let me go. I was too distracted to be traumatized. Just thinking. And reading. Mostly thinking.

Well then it's a good thing there's food right through these doors. Hopefully. If it's not all gone.

Has anyone seen my sister?

So are you saying that if the donut wasn’t there you would probably be more traumatized by that? How come? Course work, or just thinking?

I’m alright, maybe a little stressed with work already but other than that I think I just need food in my system.

Lying on the ground, Frank looked up at Sara and grinned. "I can't take it back now that it's out there. You're like Catwoman. Pretty, but really deadly and dangerous." Brushing himself off, he stood up and sat back down next to her. He knew he probably looked like an idiot, but it was worth it to get a smile out of her.

Sara bursts into laughter and puts her face in her hands for a few seconds before looking back over to him “I did warn you, feel free to take back the ‘Pretty’ statement.”

Frank gasped dramatically and clasped a hand over his heart as he pretended to fall into the grass and shake in terror. "I'm petrified."

"Well if you’re sure you can handle  it…fair warning…" She slipped into the glare so slowly it seemed completely natural.

It surprisingly wasn't that traumatic. Alice had a donut in her purse, so I just spent the day eating it. But I'm good. I think I stayed up too late last night though. How are you?

So uh, how are you? Besides how you probably feel about bringing up an experience that sounds very traumatic.

[Frank nodded.] No pumpkin juice for me today either. I only drink it when I get to open the bottle now, because at least then I know where it's been.

Now come on, let's go eat.

[laughs] I’m not even going to talk about the things James has done, I’m lucky some type of long lasting side effect to deal with. And I think I remember you telling me about that…or maybe it was James, threatening to do the same thing. Either way, I’ll need to remember to steer clear of the pumpkin juice.

"A death glare?" Frank perked up. "Well, that sounds kind of like a super power. Let's see it!"

"What can I say? I guess I just scare everyone away with my insane death glare." She lets out a slight laugh.

"Seriously?" Frank raised his eyebrows. "Never? I find that really hard to believe."

Sara felt her cheeks burn “Well that’s a first…but thanks.”

[Frank laughed.] One time Alice turned me into a ferret and carried me around in her purse for an entire day when we were younger because I had done something and she needed to get revenge. And she did it by slipping something into my pumpkin juice at breakfast. So I've been wary since then.

Yeah, with my luck, James would probably try to slip some type of potion into my drink or tamper with my food in any way that he possibly could. Or even worse he’d get Alice to do it for him, so if I can manage to keep those two away from my food then I’ll take it.
