Hello! Arcana fans, if you are alive and if you can hear me I am opening my request box and I would really love to begin writing for The Arcana in order to beat the writer’s block I’ve been in recently. I have played all of the routes except Muriel’s, (which I am currently about halfway through) and am very interested in exploring the different relationship dynamics, emotions, and environments of the game.

• Spice (This is an 18+ blog, so spicier than the paid options in-game, but I do not plan on going to pound town <\3. Maybe eventually, but as of today, no.)

HUGE AGREE it’s the most upsetting thing ever. there’s so much to discuss about the 6 main routes alone and the fact that we’re probably never going to get any more major canon is devastating.

arcana fans are stronger than anyone though. most of the fan content i indulge in is BEAUTIFUL!!!

The Arcana Deserved Better

The Arcana deserved so much better. I saw this fandom at its absolute peak and now it is practically a corpse. It is a shame because I feel that The Arcana had so much more untapped potential. There were so many more stories to tell, and I felt that right when we were getting so much more world building it was ripped away.

I could go on about the whole situation with Nix Hydra Games and Dorian. That certainly played one of the biggest factors in the downfall of the fandom not only for The Arcana but many of the stories on there other app, Fictif.

And let me tell you, Fictif is a whole mess that I wanna get into. Overall, it is truly depressing that this fandom is dead. Perhaps in another timeline more official work could have been released and this fandom would still be in its heyday.

Perhaps, Nix Hydra and Dorian did not butcher all of it. And while I talk about the death of this fandom I think it can still be revived. Fanfiction still exists as well as fanart. I really love this world and story. And I know that I am going to try and keep this fandom breathing in some way.

this holiday season i want a giant mega-route of the arcana that combines all 6 of the main stories. i want all of the lore and all of the romance with a very slutty MC stringing all six of them along. i want it on ao3. i want it written with excruciating detail. i want to feel all of the emotions. i want to be IN vesuvia. i want all the romance. the drama. the mystery. the intrigue. the tension between the LIs. the grief. the heartbreak. GOD it would make such a good fantasy series i wish it was a book instead of a dating sim.

You can arguably say all of the Satrinava siblings break typical royalty norms

It seems like only Nafizah is at the palace all the time since she IS the crown Princess ? And possibly Natiqa too ? The rest are all off doing things that for the most part SEEM people orientated and not just. Fucking off and throwing parties and marrying other rich people lmao which is very interesting from a narrative and world building POV. How much is that standard and how much of that is Nasrin breaking away from their own societal norms?

Prakra is an empire and it’s clear they have no qualms over going to war with others (ie. Vesuvia) to maintain and expand it, so it’s not like they aren’t AWARE of and utilize that massive power and influence. But in the minutiae, you see that some of the “princesses” are off on the battlefield as medics, others are playing the role of ambassadors, and others are doing fucking goat yoga down the block lmao it’s just. Very interesting to look at them and wonder and expand on how Nasrin and subsequently her children view royalty and their wealth
