He can see it in his mind's eye, all her power level and weaknesses displayed for him like a chart, only privy to him.

He raised the blade, activating shunpo and surged forward, enabling a blast from his reiatsu which burst from his zanpakuto in a wave. “Hope you like it hot!” The blades twist in his hands, aiming a spinning slash at her side, hoping to god it would hit its mark.

Metal screeched in an echo sharp enough to taste. So shrill even she shivers.

Parried -- she leveraged her weight to shove him back, firing a frigid blast of reiatsu at his head as an extra motivator.

The ground splintered at her boot as she kicked off for him.

The first time Seiji spied the newly anointed arrancar, they were dashing across the Seireitei's vast grounds. It struck him as odd, that an arrancar could be fearful.

He hadn't fought many back at Hueco Mundo as he was stationed in the Fake Karakura Town for support. But, from what he could gather, one could certainly take on a Gotei Captain with ease.

Being part of the 11th Division, they work mostly with aiding manpower, especially with the 3rd Division who supply most of the information for said missions. So it wasn't unusual for Seiji to travel in their quarters and on this day, he had been sent to said Division. The sun rose high, bathing everything in its pre-morning glow, Seiji's hands were clasped tightly by his side, an intense expression resting on his features.

As usual, his footsteps were quiet, barely a traceable noise as he stepped through the door, observing the scene. “Oh, you're that new recruit, right?” He said, mouth quirking into a smile. “Guess we'll be workin' together today.” A hand is held out, he had to bend down into a crouch to get on their level. Strange, he'd thought they'd have more of a tell, a more defined mask like the others.

“Seiji Nakagawa, sixth seat of squad eleven. Nice ta' meet you.”

Rukia is actually more of a picky eater than she lets on. Partly, it's from her days in the Rukongai when she had to fend on her own, but, after trying more traditional types of cooking, some of it was an acquired taste.

She doesn't like caviar, oysters, or natto, and it took her a while to find a tea she liked. It was definitely very much a learning curve. :)
