The haul from Akihabara today. We shopped for nine hours straight stopping only for a brief stay at the cat cafe. Exhausted but so satisfied!!! (Yes that is a good condition copy of Chrono Trigger in all of the original packaging. Squee.)

Japanese egg yolks are so orange! Sorry I haven’t been updating. All of the pictures from Kyoto are on my camera which I haven’t figured out how to put them on my phone since I didn’t bring my laptop. We saw a lot of temples and now we’re heading back to Osaka. Tokyo tomorrow!

My partner in wanderlust and I are going to be in Japan for two weeks starting on Tuesday! This is my very first time to Japan and I am stoked :) We are going to be visiting my PIW's family as well as exploring some of the major sights in Japan!

Serendipitously we stumbled into Brewgrass 2013. We randomly drove by the festival on our way back into Asheville after aborting the hike due to fog, saw a huge crowd of people, were driving around trying to figure out what was going on when this nice local guy walking his dog randomly offered us a parking spot at his house. We parked and walked down to the entry tent and got tickets scalped to us for way under face value by a nice volunteer lady and BOOM there we were dazed confused and unlimited beer

The travel gods knew we had cooler places to discover than hiking trails that day :) We can only read the divine signs and follow where they lead!
