A new Fei Ren Zai pop science book, "Fei Ren Zai Scientific Expedition Team: Strange Things Keep Happening", is getting released 7/12 at 12 PM China time. It covers biology, physics, chemistry, and geography, and features manhua comics that explore scientific phenomena that occur in daily life.

Note: Jiu Yue's comment about lili being hard to pronounce is probably because in Chinese the tones are lílì (2nd rising tone and 4th falling tone), which, combined with the repeated syllable, is kind of an awkward combo.

The first half of the chapter corresponds to part of donghua season 2 episode 28. Additionally, the second half of the chapter with Bai Ze is referenced in You Shou Yan chapter 43 (mangadex).

I talked a bit in Discord about the movie (非人哉: 限时玩家 limited time players), but some additional info (none of this is new):

As far as I know the earliest teaser was released late January with showings of Nezha 2, but seems it was only teased in China. Here's a bilibili video taken in theaters (screenshot below); the animation style looks similar to the 2022 Beijing Olympics short (basically like your average donghua).

The movie was submitted for review sometime in 2024 (?). Here is the link to its application in China Film Administration's website (screenshot below). It'll be published by FENZ (same as usual) and the screenwriter is Yu Aishan (俞艾杉）. The synopsis they provided is: "After accidentally entering a video game world whose service is about to be terminated, nine tailed fox Jiu Yue and her god companions risk the disappearance of their entire team to lead players all over the world to rescue two best friends separated by death". (rough translation)

I already said this but I'm kind of surprised they haven't released a formal trailer given that the movie is coming out this summer, but in any case it's a pretty big official announcement and I'm excited to see what's released!
