Isolation . . This year has been an indescribable amount of overwhelming mental experiences and both forced and voluntary retreat. I do however flourish in isolation and it's tough to explain to the people around you. While interactions have their own way of helping the human psyche, I do believe the mental and spiritual fortitude I take pride in has come from such extended, isolating seasons. And it's also that of course, a seasonal thing. There will be times for constant connection again, maybe. Not surprising how many times during the past almost two years I got the Hermit card, and while solitude it's not its only meaning, it has definitely been felt. And appreciated. Walking some roads alone is a enlightening experience, for it's an honor to be able to give advice to others so they walk their roads, too. I digress! 2024 has also been a year for me to try and push myself artistically, however little that might be lol. It's been fun in that regard at least. There's still a lot to improve but as life shows time and time again, nothing is ever fully finished and so the finish line is a mental blur. We'll see what else I keep drawing huh.

I'm very happy with this one, while also being aware I could've done more but HEY still getting into the practice of not wanting to rush drawings. I hope you like it! ♥

Dreams of wandering sea and breeze - 2025 . Sorry for not being around with new personal work. Past few months have been rocky -when are they not right, lol- and I've been more motivated to do some embroidery over personal digital artworks. But I recognized it was stemming from a "work is burning me out so I will separate from the concept of digital stuff" and I've been trying to slowly introduce my body into the concept of enjoying painting digitally without feeling like it's being tortured trying to stay focused on such a task. Lots of deconditioning to do, funny how those machines up in our skulls work.

I also somewhat willingly have gone back to full freelance without a soft cushion to land on if something goes array, but I won't act like I regret it because I definitely do not. Most of my professional life has been spent on two jobs that have completely deprived me of my peace and sanity (and one of them didn't even pay me well enough to balance out the sanity I was losing! Ugh). I want to invest in the kind of projects that give spark to my soul and continue building bridges with the kind of companies that I'm more than happy to work with. Sooo idk we'll see how that works, wish me luck pretty please ♥

I don't play genshin anymore, but I'll always keep the characters from it that I learned to love very close to my heart. Kazuha is definitely in my top 3 of genshin characters that I love beyond measure and I finally got around to draw him as a birthday present for a friend :') It is truly wonderful to be able to experience love in this life and be able to express it and transmute it into pieces of art that others can maybe see and feel touched by. So if I've ever managed to do that for someone, I'm more than satisfied. . Been trying (yes I say this a lot, my bad) to get back into doing detail in my pieces so I'm glad about how this turned out but I wanna keep pushing it lol. Also I didn't even try to make their actual in game outfits, someone will have to pay me to put myself through that torture 😭 (them having some of the simplest designs in the game is so funny when I'm saying this tho) .

🌿 My Name is Rola, and This is My Story 🌿

I never thought I would be writing this. I never thought I would be begging for help just to keep my children warm, just to feed them one more meal. But here I am, reaching out to you, because I have no other choice.

My name is Rola. I am a mother of two beautiful children, and before October 7th, we had a life filled with love and laughter. We had a home. My children had their own room, filled with their toys and drawings. We would sit together on our balcony, drinking coffee in the early morning light. We had dreams, just like any other family.

But in an instant, it was all gone.

A missile struck. The earth shook beneath us. The air filled with dust and fire. My husband and son ran, stumbling over each other in terror. I stood frozen, the ringing in my ears drowning out my own screams. Our home was shattered—windows blown out, doors ripped from their hinges. And when I looked outside, our neighbor’s house, a place that once echoed with children's laughter, was nothing but rubble and ash.

That was just the beginning.

The bombs never stopped. Every night, I held my children close as the sky rained fire. The sound of explosions mixed with the cries of mothers searching for their babies in the darkness. I covered my children, whispering words of comfort, but how do you comfort a child who is terrified of dying in their sleep?

We had to leave. We walked away from everything—our home, our memories, the warmth of our life before. My children left behind their favorite toys, their books, their safe space. Now, we have nothing.

No home.

No food.

No clean water.

No way out.

I went to buy sugar the other day. It cost $20 for just a kilo. Food is disappearing, and the little that remains is impossible to afford. Every day, I fight to find just enough to keep my children alive.

I am exhausted. I am scared. I need your help.

I never imagined I would have to beg for my family’s survival. But today, I am.

Please, if you are reading this, help us. Help me save my children. Help us find shelter, food, a way to rebuild even a small piece of the life we lost. If we ever have the chance to leave, we need support. If we are forced to stay, we need a home again.

From Under the Rubble... I Write My Story 🌿

I never thought I would write these words… 😔

I never imagined waking up to endless screams,

Running barefoot through smoke and fire,

Searching for my mother among the rubble,

Only to find nothing but silence… a heavy silence telling me that no one will answer me anymore. 💔

In one moment, everything changed.

Our home became a memory, my mother’s embrace became the past,

And my father's face, now absent, is the last thing I hold in my memory.

They’re gone… and left my heart burdened with unspoken grief. 😢

But despite everything, we are still here… trying.

I survived with my younger siblings.

Yes, we survived… but who are we after survival?

Children without warmth, without a roof, with no place to return to.

We were displaced to an unknown place, carrying a bag empty of everything… except pain. 🥀

We slept in the open, waking every morning to a life that holds nothing for us,

But despite everything… we keep trying. 💪

I write to you today not to cry, but to ask for hope. 🌱

I ask you to be a small light in this vast darkness,

To extend a hand that can mend what the war has broken in us.

26012025 I used to draw a lot of snakes because I really like the plethora of symbolism and meaning that surrounds them, so of course I was gonna try and have one drawing for Lunar New Year. I'm glad I managed, though I'll probably (hopefully lol) draw more snakes during this year. Really looking forward to it. Greens and Reds stay undefeated I tell ya, really loved how this one turned out, hope you like it!
