Perhaps it was only hard for Hermione  to not notice, but she couldn’t help but pick up on the way Draco was acting  lately. Something was off, and she  couldn’t ignore it. He was ignoring homework, getting into trouble, and avoiding her. None of them were really very normal, and it seemed like a  warning sign. What of, she didn’t know.  She had asked him to please meet her outside their common room once  everyone was asleep, but she was  near certain he wouldn’t show up. It  was starting to really bother her, and  she was just about to go back to her  dormitory when she heard something.                      “Malfoy?” 

          The young Malfoy knew perfectly well that he           himself was acting rather oddly nowadays. He           didn’t feel the need to justify himself nor his           actions, however. He simply minded his own           business and threatened to hex those who           tried to interfere. Ever since the start of the           year, things haven’t been looking up. Draco           knew it was bound to happen and yet he was           stuck glooming about his fate.           Despite the desire to have no one strut into           his problems like that, he knew he couldn’t           say no to one of his closest confidantes in           the House. When she asked for some time           with him, he was uncertain on going but he           found himself in the common room after           bedtime anyways. His grey eyes seemed           relatively dry as they drank in the sight of           the brunette who was waiting for him, his           head bobbing into a small nod in acknow-           ledgement.                           “Granger.”

JJ: If Draco wasn’t a wizard, what would he be doing in the real world as his job? TF:A thief. Or some sort of shady back-end job. I don’t think he would be ever really good at working. Something definitely illegal.

          Grey eyes rolled at the Gryffindor in front of him, before taking the coffee in his hands. "You do know I won't do that, right?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows at her. "And, please, Weasley. I know you won't kill someone for me, even if you so badly needed your coffee," he said. "What's so special about coffee anyways?" he asked confusedly, looking at the container he was holding tightly in his hands.

Ginny let out a laugh, throwing her head back in an awkward-not-so-adorable-manner. Of course he couldn’t trust her, she couldn’t promise do do everything he asked for.

                      No, she wasn’t going to do anything humilitating or painful just to give him the bloody satisfaction. Scared of what he would ask her to do, Ginny just shrugged and looked at him, faked innocence in her big eyes.

           ”You can trust me, Malfoy. I will do whatever you ask me to do. Kill someone? Buy a dragon? Just give me coffee” the Weasel said “Please?”

         "Head, not you. Head, not your face," he said, shrugging one shoulder and narrowing his eyes at her cheeky grin. "Mind you, I could've been talking about the shape of your head." He shrugged once more. The blond mirrored her eye roll and sighed heavily. "I'll be the first person you'll shriek for, Weaselette. I'll make sure of it."

"You called my head pretty," Ginny clarified with a cheeky grin twitching on her freckled features. The ego boast could not be turned down in her own mind now. However, that did not stop her from rolling her chestnut hues at him, "I don’t shriek for people. It’s bad for my vocal cords. I’ll dream about something worthy enough to dream about."

          "But it's still not grey?"

          One golden eyebrow was raised— a habit the blond had whenever he was talking to someone who wasn't a close friend or even a friend. "Oh?" And there's that eyebrow raise again. "If he's a coward, then why did he have the guts to cut your hand off?"

"Well, bleach blond seems like the closest thing to grey

                                — still proves my point, lad.” 

Although the other remained indifferent, Killian couldn’t help the faint smirk on his lips. But his ridiculous question wiped the smirk right off. "I wouldn’t dream of doing that any bloody day; a coward cut it off. Not me.”

          Just unbelievable. He shouldn't have given her a choice. And now he's upset at himself for doing the opposite.

          "Since I'm a gentleman, Granger," he looked at her with narrowed eyes, "and that, you should be thankful of, or I could have you against the wall right now with a wand pointed at your arse," he snickered at that, before walking ahead. "Follow me."

" Well seeing as how you asked me to lunch that means your paying, besides I’m a girl and it would hardly be proper to make me do such a thing. So that being said, I’m taking advantage of this moment and we’ll go someplace fancy." 

She couldn’t help the small chuckle, glancing around at their current location, wondering what people would think, not that she cared,much.

          Draco stared at his friend for a long time, before shaking his head. "Don't joke, Nott. You're not funny," he said too honestly. "I've been wanting to quit long before you had thoughts on joining the team," he informed the other. "So you're free to steal the spotlight."

"Yeah," Theo said bluntly, laughing at the expression on his friend’s face. "I sure as hell wouldn’t have gone charging up to that thing like some bull. Of course, it’s fitting, since you are so bull-headed.” He laughed at his own joke. “Oh, so just because I’m thinking of joining you want to quit? How convenient, Malfoy.”
