King Gesar and the Emerald Lake - King Gesar was the hero king of Gling, Tibet. He was sent from heaven to rid the world of demons. He fought and killed the serpent of the emerald lake by letting it swallow him, then he used his magic to grow so large he burst out of the snake.. l was inspired by the folk tale of King Gesar while reading it on a hiking trip last year to Gokyo Lakes in Nepal.
