I have a question about wether or not I should hit up my friends mom?

When I was working at a grocery store a few months back, I ran into my friends' mom; who also happened to be my previous neighbor, since her son and I grew up on the same block (it had been a couple of years since I last saw them). She gave me a hug and expressed how happy she was to see me. Then she proceeded to introduce me to the guy standing next to her, which turned out to be her new boyfriend since she had gotten a divorce from her previous husband. But what stuck out to me was that before she left she gave me her number for our families to stay in touch, now, i'm sure she's well aware that I can just look her son up or get in contact through social media, should I take this as a hint that she might want just the two of us to hang out?
